ONE OF THE BEST PLACES TO EAT IN SAN MO. BEST BEEF FAJITAS. GOOD PRICES. GET THE BEEF FAJITAS SUPREME NACHOS. BREAKFAST IS GOOD TOO! I miss this place every day.
The green salsa is so spicy but so flavorful. Beware lol . The tacos are great and I love the horchata. Been there a few times now and fet it’s worth giving a great review. Not to mention the AC is always keeping it cold ❤️ definitely a delicious breakfast.
Came in from Austin to eat. I ordered the crispy taco plate.and it did not disappoint. They filled up the taco shell with lots of meat with lettuce and tomatoes on the side. They also have a great salsa bar with lots of choices. Will come back! Forgot to take pics...
This young lovely lady was so nice to me when I came in to eat the other day her name was Valentina.She was welcoming and just made my overall experience here a 10/10 I will definitely be coming back and I recommend her as my waitress again.The food was awesome and she would always check to see if I was doing okay or if I needed anything.she had my cup of tea refilled the whole time I was there.I left her a tip but that’s not enough I just want y’all to know she is doing great!!keep up the amazing work.

Service is always outstanding and the staff has great personality. Although it can get busy at times, like any place, they hold it down. It’s always chilly inside so if you get cold easily just bring a jacket. Food quality has never disappointed me. Top 3 Mexican restaurants in San Marcos

Friendly & quaint Mexican restaurant. Delicious shrimp cocktail (& they didn't skimp on the shrimp). Positive reviews on the Carne quisada from the hubby. Yes, I will definitely visit this place again.
If you were in downtown San Marcos, and feeling like excellent Mexican food, I recommend you stop in here at Tom’s Taco for an excellent meal with great service
If you are looking for authentic Mexican food in San Marcos, this is it. The plates had very generous portions and the food was delicious.
The micheladas are so good and refreshing ! The mini taco plate is great as well. For an additional small fee they add avocado and fresh cheese.
The service was excellent, prices are from pre-COVID times and the food is delightful. I had the Machacada taco and it was a large portion for the price. The added a generous amount of meat and vegetables. The best part is there green creamy sauce that blended all the flavors together.
No more going elsewhere for really good Mexican food. Toma Taco has it all from fresh salsa with crunchy vegetables to baracho beans that can be a meal by themselves. Even the guacamole is fresh and a great topper for your taco. Order anything you want all day long from the friendly staff. My favorite is the Al Pastor. Enjoy $$.5
If you live in SMTX and have not tried Toma Taco, what are you doing with your life? But no really, the tortas? AMAZING! The tacos? Superb! Margaritas? Best in town! I love this hole in the wall and will be back. I’m talking tortas that melt your heart with the mix of the green yummy salsa! The server just combined it all for a beyond enjoyable visit!!
Food was great, service could have been better though. Every time I needed something or a drink refills, server was just sitting down chit chatting.
I’ve ordered take out from here and the food wasn’t as pleasant as it was in restaurant. Salsa is very good. There’s a variety of folks from all walks in the dining area. It’s definitely a small town feel for good Hispanic food.
Friendly great service. I've had their breakfast and lunch. Both were tasty. I had the menudo as well and it was yummy. Not spicy just right, very flavorful.
Mini Tacos fairly good, carne guisada plate was good too, charro beans sucked, way overspiced & hot salsas lacking heat. Moderate prices but nothing here to bring me back again.
Great customer service! Atmosphere feels like a gloomy, relaxed,stress/judgment free environment. Salsa/topping bar was clean/full and looked very fresh. Plenty of spacious parking. Only reason I gave a lower than 5 star was for the flour tortillas that was forgotten with my menudo order.
The food tasted great and it was inexpensive. My husband enjoyed the carne guisada and I really liked the bacon and egg. The carnitas was okay and the asada was also just okay. Unfortunately, we have a small visitor eating with us at our table.
