Yum Yum Donuts

Ran in to grab a quick coffee and the woman behind the counter was the sweetest! They had so many options but she was so patient with us and explained how it happens often with new guests. They had so many unique jello treats and goodies too, I am definitely coming back to try those. The coffee and cappuccinos definitely hit the spot and gave us that caffeine boost we needed.

My husband brought me here to get donuts yesterday and not only were their donuts bomb, but also their French vanilla blended icee coffee was too! Not only do they have donuts here, but they also have bagel sandwiches and everything breakfast! Next time I will try their pizza bagel because it looks really good!

Best donut place in San Marcos/Escondido hands down. Only thing I've tried really is the donuts. They always taste fresh and aren't too greasy or overly sweet. People are always getting coffee so it must be good right ..lol. Prices are good, buy a doze. Get 2 donuts free. And they have any donut you would want. They're even fresher if you buy them around 6pm or later. You can smell the icing being made. The location looks so ugly and sketchy. It's next to an awesome mexican restaurant and Stater Bros. The appearance doesn't match the great food quality. The place is also very clean inside and the donut display is neat and cute.

24/7 you can't go wrong with Yum Yum! No matter what time of day I get there. When the wife has a Caribbean in the middle of the night it's usually for donuts or something of that nature. Up on my feet grab a jacket and out the door I'm on my way and I know yum yum won't let me down, cuz they always deliver.

Yum Yum Donuts in San Marcos is one of those classic spots you pull up to expecting a quick, glorious bagel moment… and mostly, they deliver. These guys are famous for their turkey bacon avocado situation for a reason—it’s legit. Fresh ingredients, generous portions, and that perfect “California fuel” vibe that makes you feel like you’ve got your life together, even if you just rolled in half asleep. But here’s where it gets funny. I order a bagel already pushing about $12—which, fine, inflation, San Marcos, avocados apparently guarded by federal agents now. Then the guy casually tries to tack on another $5 for a little bacon on top. Five dollars. For bacon. Not a farm. Not a pig. Just bacon. At that point I’m thinking this bacon better come with its own birth certificate and LinkedIn profile. And the best part? Nobody even asked what kind of bagel I wanted. No “sesame, everything, plain?” Nothing. Just mystery bagel roulette. Customer service isn’t terrible, but it’s definitely operating in autopilot mode. A little more attention would go a long way. That said, the food itself is solid. Yum Yum has the reputation for a reason, and when they’re on point, they’re on point. Fix the small service quirks and the surprise bacon tax, and this place is easily 5 stars. For now, strong 4 stars—great food, just don’t let the bacon negotiate against you.

Stopped by to get a dozen doughnuts for the office. The person getting them for me wasn't too happy that I took a little while to decide what I wanted. The cost of doughnuts has gone up since I last bought them -- $18 for a dozen! They were OK...but I wasn't blown away or anything. I would probably suggest Vons or Albertsons instead.

They should update their prices on the board to what they charge. Plus, my pastry was waaaay undercooked. I do not recommend. And the ladies working there are not the friendliest. Doesn't bother me as much as my overpriced, undercooked croissants.

Went in today around 8:30am with my family and I bought yum yum dozen. I liked the service, they where very friendly, but I didn't like that they had run out of oatmeal and the coconut donuts. Another thing is when I got home( escondido) i notice that i was missing a donut. They where suppose to give me 14 donuts and only received 13, I know that it's just a donut but I am buying it and I would like to get what I paid for.

I usually only visit this place on Valentine's day in hopes to get the v- day heart donuts. But 3 years now and haven't been able to try them yet. Due to they are always out.😔 But tonight I wanted yum yum I thought this was 24 hours I go in about 12 midnight and no donuts! WOW! I am told none will be ready for 2- 3 hours. I can't catch a break

I visited Yum Yum Donuts in San Marcos tonigh, and while I was in a great mood, the service was really disappointing. The shop is open 24 hours, which is awesome, but the person taking my order seemed way too busy with other tasks to pay attention. I asked about teas and other items, but he was so blunt and distracted, just going back to his tasks while I was still trying to figure out what I wanted. I get that he was busy, but when a customer is standing right there, it should be about the customer. I hope they can improve their customer focus, because the donuts themselves were okay, but the service left a lot to be desired.

Change your freaking oil yum yum! Your oil is rancid, the last two times my husband had gotten donuts at your location the donuts smell like bad oil. Yuck.

Terrible customer service by some of the staff. They have difficulty in basic math in figuring out how to charge for products that don't fit their mold. Don't try to order a donut that's out of their usual half dozen set and ask to be charged the difference; they can't figure it out and want you to order more than you need. Weird way to handle customer service when a customer simply asks to be charged more for the difference they are asking for, they can't tackle and are rude about it. Been coming here for years and other staff could figure this simple procedure out in the past. It's too bad their staff are not trained well these days. Won't be back. Wow.

Worst donuts I have ever eaten. They should be called oil rounds not donuts, they taste like oil and that is on top of the sugar, so that is saying something. Plus $16 for 6 normal donuts??? I am not going to this place ever again. I would rather eat vegetables than these donuts. How hard can it be? Yum Yum should go bye bye...
