Workers are fine . Food is an absolute scam . 17 dollars for nachos that came with cheese and a few bites and carne asada . Guess we’re rationing food .

Loved this place today, Christmas day 2019. The lady who runs it was so nice and friendly. Good chip and salsa bar,(complimentary) huge and delicious Cali Surf burritos, big whole shrimp and steak pieces. Nice chew to the tortilla. Choir fries were also very good, nice and crispy. Thanks for being open on Christmas!

I would ignore the bad reviews the food is amazing, it's fresh hot and delicious. They have some of the best salsa with flavor and some nice heat. The tortillas are the good thick corn tortillas that stay warm not the cheap corn one that falls apart. The carnitas special is worth the money and the pork is cooked perfectly and not greasy. Primos is clean, and the staff is friendly and professional.

Delicious and super friendly! We recently moved down the street and have ordered pickup several times. It’s always super fresh, fast, and delicious! Love their Cali breakfast burrito and chicken rolled tacos.

The food was good. It's definitely more like Mexican American food than Mexican food. The restaurant has plenty of tables and chairs for people to dine inside (none outside), or you could take your food to go. Price was pretty typical...around 32 dollars for 2 adults to eat.

They have a very small bar, but it's nice and cozy. Good for catching a drink after work. I used to come here for taco Tuesdays, because it was a fantastic deal. Last time a went though (9/12/2023) the tacos were barely filled with anything. However, I'll still continue to go because the quality of food is excellent. It's been a huge struggle to find food with any seasoning up here in North county, so this place stands out wonderfully.

Big portions and tasty traditional Mexican food. Very pleasant staff and reasonable prices. Like what they do here. Self Serve chips and salsa/sauce bar add a nice touch.

Ordered a ton of food for a b-day party 2 days prior to event. Food was fantastic, rosie was a great help. Didn't break the bank either! I will definitely be back!

Very chain-like. It’s clear they’re aiming for the college crowd, who may not care about solid Mexican food. The food itself is mediocre, with no sign of authentic Mexican flair (“Americanized”), however the staff is friendly. The Mr. Taco down Twin Oaks Valley in the Ralph’s parking lot is just a better version of this place overall; slightly cheaper prices, passionate staff, timely service, and much more flavorful food.

First time eating there. Ordered a carne asada torta. It was delicious. It had good flavoring, although the bread used was extremely hard. Huge disappointment. I granted 3 stars for the flavoring and I'm yet to try thier other dishes.

the guacamole had the weirdest taste... like the avocados weren't even close to being ripe... but pouring a TON of the salsa in it made it better... be patient with the parking cause there isn't a lot... but the 619 monster burrito.... THAT was delicious

Ok. Not great. I ordered rolled chicken tacos to go but they were undercooked. The place was fine inside, I was there when so first responders were picking up some food and I take their patronage as a good sign. I'd give the place another try, I'm assuming it's easy to make rolled chicken tacos right the next time.

It's one of my go-to spots when in san diego. First time at this location. California burrito wasn't the best this time. Definitely recommended. I will be coming back but to a different location

Not bad, good food, average service. 4 stars for the food, 3 stars for the portions (Carne Asad burrito is mini for San Diego standards), 3 for the value, and 2 for service. It's a chain that still acts like an independent burrito shop. I still go here, buy I don't expect much.

The chips were great thy are offered on the side while you wait. The salsa bar was delicious as well. The tacos are pretty small for the price.

The food is good, but they consistently get the orders wrong if doing take-out. Always check your meal before leaving. They have a great salsa selection when it is full. The food is always good though. We will continue to eat here, but we always expect the order to be wrong.

I really wish this place had better food because its so close to my house. I could tell the taquitos I got weren't fresh and frozen. The complimentary chip and salsa bar is nice.

Alberto's is better. Big burrito too much rice here. I thought I was getting a fat burrito with a lot of meat. Eribertos in Vista on Emerald Drive is the best, and the fattest for your money.

The carnitas are extremely greasy. I understand that it's a pork but the meat was literally swimming in grease. I couldn't hold it down my gut started turning after the first taco. Taquitos we're ok. The beef needed seasoning.

Overpriced and their 3 tacos and burrito made me and my wife sick. Never before had we had a bad experience like this. We love Mexican food, but this place is a one-and-done for us. Terrible!

Twin Oaks location is a mess. They are constantly losing or serving orders late and way out of order. Tried more than once. Not again. Worth the drive to go to the Escondido spot. Their food is still good, and they have it TOGETHER.

Staff is awesome, food is subpar- it's convenient for the location but boiled meat and boiled shrimp wasn't a big fan of it, the shrimp taco literally just had three small boiled shrimp I mean I get it you're cutting cost, I mean price wise it's okay little pricey for my taste, I guess I'm paying for the convenience factor. Also there Fountain drinks for the Mexican Waters what's not working correctly either not mixing correctly or just water coming out. I can go on and on but I'm not so if you're into boiled meat and shrimp....Primos is your place

The roll tacos were nasty. Burnt grease taste. Ground chicken barely filling roll taco to taste. Ive been in san Diego and had real mex food They should be out of business.

I ordered a Cali burrito with adobaba using door dash. I paid extra for it to be upgraded to a 'monster' burrito, but it looks like the same amount of filling wrapped with two tortillas instead of one. Half way thru the burrito, I bit into something really hard. Not sure what it is, but it looks to melted plastic or something. Pretty sure this doesn't happen often and not sure how any one would be able to catch this, but this, along with the tiny 'monster'' burrito, ruined my experience. I would not recommend this location to anyone.

Usually go to primos and I used to love their food. But, I ate a burrito from them today and it had what looked like hair or animal fur in my burrito...I am extremely dissatisfied and just overall grossed out. I don’t think I am ever going back there again...

The food is over seasoned and the combination of ingredients do not complement each other. Finally we ordered esquite with flaming hot cheetos, the corn had a burned flavor, and the cheetos was stale as if the bag was opened for over a day. From a hispanic who knows what authentic flavor tastes like, I strongly DO NOT recommend going here. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I wasted 48 dollars here.

Stopped in on Cinco de Mayo. Ordered a monster size grilled chicken burrito…… I’m not a vegetarian…. my burrito had at best a table spoon of grilled chicken. The burrito was bursting at the seems with beans and rice! In fact, I unfolded the shell and scooped out enough beans and rice for 2-3 burritos! If you are not a vegetarian, tell them to go easy on the rice and beans, put them on the side or no rice and beans at all! I was very disappointed!
