Scrumptious food, great service, and nice atmosphere. They served flour tortilla chips with the guacamole. So yummy! The chef cooked my Carne asada perfectly rare per my request. I'd happily return.
Great authentic Mexican food! Nice atmosphere.
This is our go to Mexican restaurant in the area. I love seating outdoors on the main patio, not the one in the back. The ambience is nice, food is good and drinks are great. The service is usually good.
We came to Cocina Del Charro for a birthday party and they were having their Sunday Brunch. OMGosh, this place was fantastic! The selection was huge with something for everyone. Everything I ate was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent. I highly recommend!
Service is the best when Kyle is working. Fri,sat and Sunday evenings. Typically from 4pm to 8pm i believe. We've had other servers at different times and they can't compare to him. We usually call ahead to make sure he's working before my Wife and I go in. It's hard to find great service these days so when you do and the food is pretty good too ya gotta make regular visits!!! Thanks Kyle 👍🏻👍🏻
One of the best Mexican dishes I've ever had was the Cochinita Pibil last night at at restaurant. Was in the mood for something different and distinct and this item easily filled the bill. Succulent and delicious. Can't wait to have it again. Also highly recommended is their Tamarindo margarita. Also absolutely delicious! I'll be back for a repeat performance!
We had 5 star traditional Mexican food! I am a salsa Snob. Cocina's is soo good . Our service was so attentive. Our entrees were amazing! To top it off we shared a fried ice cream desert. The best
Swift attentive service on a busy Saturday evening. Our food was incredibly good! Amazing fish tacos and shrimp cocktail delivered in a very tasty broth. Wonderful surprise, I need to find its proper name. I used to have lunch here with guys years ago and food and decor were merely okay. They have really stepped up their game! Looking forward to the next time. 5 stars
The food here is always delicious. Drink service was a little slow this time.
Stopped in for Happy Hour with my girlfriend and instantly fell in love with the place. From the bartenders, "Isabel, Jerry, and Jessica", providing outstanding and excellent service. To the care and love of the kitchen staff for diligently taking great care of my order and making sure I didn't have anything with onions due to my allergies. This is a amazing place to come to for Happy Hour. Located in wonderful San Marcos. Try the Fish Tacos and tell them, Marc from Marc's Bachelor's Kitchen sent you. #MarcsBachelorsKitchen #CocinaDelCharro #Greatfunforall
Loved the brunch buffet! It was good value for the variety of options to enjoy. All the items I had were delicious. I really liked the mole. Everything was good. Will come again if ever in the area. Prices are reasonable.
Great food! Their weekend buffet is amazing! Friendly staff and servers!
We were here mother's day 5/13/19 about 430pm. The gentleman that helped our server was phenomenal!! Im sad his name slips my mind. The ambiance is very home-y and welcoming. The beans and rice are deff authentic! As their tacos are also-- which is what I had. Their guacamole however.. Deff lacked seasoning. It had large chunks of cinantro, which you can easily choke on. So the younger ones couldnt have it and I really didnt want to pick through it to take it out so I didnt have much. I would suggest some Himalayan salt bullion or even bay seasoning and chopping the cilantro. Overall the place is very clean and the food is pretty authentic. Deff a service service service restaurant. They really go out of their way!! Darn i wish I could remember the guys name! Our server was very friendly also. :) great time!
Good food. Great service. Attentive staff. Best server - young man Ramon. Attentive, efficient, communicative personable, engaging. Returned numerous times to check on our table. We need more servers like this young kid.
By far exceeded my expectations, I don't leave reviews on just any place but coming from arizona for the weekend and finding this place close to the coast is a way to start the morning.. definitely rwc this place... Food was on point!!!
My family has been going to Cocina Del Charro since they were a tiny restaurant in Escondido on Quince Street. They are our go-to place for eat in Mexican food. So it was a no-brainer to book them for a lunch to celebrate our mother and father's Celebration of Life. Margie Fugate was our contact for the party and she did a great job of making sure everything was ready when we got there. We especially appreciate her flexability as I had to make several changes in dates and number of people, some at the very last minute. Our server was on top of everything, and unfortunately, I did not get her name, but she did a great job. The delicious meals were brought out in a timely manner, something that is not always easy with a big party. She was attentive and checked on us numerous times to ensure that we had everything we needed. This was especially impressive as the day we picked was crazy busy due to graduation parties in the restaurant as well. We feel so lucky to have such a great place to go so close to home that we can always count on for great food, and a great time. Big thanks again to Margie for going over and above for us.
Our experience was made unforgettable thanks to our incredible server, Ramon. Not only was the service prompt, friendly, and professional, but what truly stood out was the kindness and care he showed toward my special needs daughter. We’ll absolutely be back, and we’ll be asking for Ramon by name. Thank you for going above and beyond.
Ramón was are server tonight. He had a super chill vibe that man my husband's and I dining experience amazing, and the food was great! Hope we get him as a server again!
Our server Fernando was the best! Excellent margaritas and food.
LOVE, LOVE Cocina. Been going for years! Happy Hour is back. The food always hot and delicious. Our favorite waiter is Jerry! House Margaritas are THE BEST! Warm chips and salsa are yummy.
Restaurant is absolutely beautiful! The food was great and my spicy margarita hit the spot. Wonderful place to celebrate our daughter and enjoy delicious Mexican food before we had back to another state out east. Highly recommend!
My wife and I were celebrating our 13th anniversary and decided to hit this location we were greeted by Kyle who went above and beyond with his excellent customer service he also kept checking in to make sure all our needs were met I will highly recomend this location just on Kyles service alone food was amazing fresh hot and tasty cadallac margarita was perfectly mixed and hit the spot we will defenitly be back soon :)
Great Sunday brunch with tons of choices, great staff and wonderful service. I love the ceviche and fresh fruit! Pro Tip: Arrive before 10:30 it gets really busy. Go straight to the bar and sit at the counter. The omelet station is excellent with over 11 ingredients to make it just the way you want it.
Update 2023: The Cancun Burrito has gotten super pricey. At one point (few years back, I believe it was going for about $15.99, and has slowly increased over the years. But this year (2023), it is now $23.99 which to me is just a little too much. In addition, the last time I was there (March 2023), the burrito was extremely spicy and almost to the point where I didn't even want to eat it anymore. Unfortunately, after all these years, I dont think I'll be eating the Cancun burrito anymore. I may or may not be back in for other Mexican food, but for now, the beloved burrito has lost a customer :-( Original post: If you love Mexican food, you'll love Cocina Del Charro! Get the Cancun Burrito, which is filled with goodies, including shrimp! It has a little kick to it, but not overly spicy. It's also a little pricey, but we'll worth it! Yum!
Loved it! 2 tacos for $8 happy hours. Yummy and good size. Nice atmosphere, great wait staff. My friend had nachos, they were good too! Thank you!
I knew that their Mother’s Day brunch was going to be packed, so I took my mom on Friday before, and we were seated immediately. This location is at least 4-5x larger than their sister location off of E. Valley Parkway in Escondido. We were given a table in a back banquet room; they didn’t force one room to be filled before using other banquet areas. They spread us all out for more spacious dining and enjoyment. It was a huge plus! We were seen to by at least three different people. Our waitress was attentive and made a few passes to make sure we were happy. There were two others, and then what I believe was the manager to see if we needed anything else. So attentive service without crowding you is definitely a good sign that this location knows how to get diners to return. The food. Oh my tamale, the food was exceptional and couldn’t have been any more perfect. I love when a chef gets the Spanish rice perfectly fluffy with just the right flavors. The enchilada was stuffed with chicken, not holding back and cheating you. I can appreciate that. The chips kept coming, hot and fresh with tasty salsa that is so addictive I think I need a 12 Step meeting now. Visit this location and you’ll fall in love too. Plenty of parking, all handicap needs met, and we parked in the handicapped parking area right at the front door. The bathrooms were clean with a very large wheelchair accessible stall. Yeah, this place checked all the boxes. This was a 12 star experience, but five is all I’m allowed to give. Dang. Yeah, twelve stars.
I had an amazing experience dining here with my family! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and seated right away. Our server, Ramon, was absolutely fantastic. He was incredibly attentive throughout our entire meal, always checking in. He made sure we had everything we needed and offered great recommendations. The food was delicious as well. We’ll definitely be coming back. We will be coming back and asking for him again!
Updating my first review: I want to give a big shout out to the gentlemen working the bar area. I have been there a few times and their service is Spectacular. They always check on you, always fill your drink glass and are extremely polite. Makes me want to come back for more!! Friday night Happy Hour was great. Ceasar and The staff is amazing and friendly 😍 And the food was delicious.
Delicious food we had steak fajitas and the been dip app our server went above and beyond! Highly recommend so reasonably priced too
Very impressed with the food & service. We had a large party & the food came amazingly fast. Very enjoyable ambience too.
Mila is an excellent waitress, kind, courteous, And consistent, always greets us with a smile, and remembers my boyfriend Dave's beer and my flower chips Prices are fare, cozy, clean. Thank you!
Surf and turf is delicious. The carne asada melted in my mouth and the burrito was packed with flavor. Would come again
Super helpful staff, great looking vintage restaurant. It’s a shame about the giant empty lot next door that used to be the heart of the town but that’s another story. Tex mex with a nod to some authentic roots. There is better food out there but just being in a real stand alone restaurant with cool decor is worth the trip
Easily above 5 star rating! If we lived there we would go all the time. The food is to die for! The service is spot on and so accommodating. They ran out of an item after we had ordered it, not only did they offer their shrimp dish that was fantastic, it was on the house, wow, what hospitality. On top of the perfect dinner, we were treated with a scrumptious ice cream tostada type dish that the kids devoured. Thank you so much! #1 place in that area.
The enchiladas at Cocina del Charro were amazing - cheesy, saucy, and so tasty! Taking pictures there was such a fun idea, with so many families making memories. I also loved the free postcards, and the photographer was super nice. Nice experience!
Mexican food is my ALL time favorite! Just had dinner there last week . All 4 of us left nothing on our plates! We had Chile Colorado, Chile Relleno, burritos and more! I highly recommend it!!
We came in from out of state and gave this place a try, everything was fantastic! Sylvia our server was perfection. She gave us honest recommendations and pointed us in the right direction. We are so happy we tried it. If we were local, this would be our spot for SURE.
Went in for the Sunday buffet with friends on a reservation and wasn’t disappointed at all! That was one huge buffet and I absolutely couldn’t eat everything as I wanted to haha.. food was delicious and the staff were really nice. They also had musicians playing traditional mexican music onpremises..-I would love to go back again!
Food was great. Served in a timely manner. Service workers even took the time to shade my face from being in the sun. Meals or affordable. And Kyle Super friendly, super attentive, all around great service! We will be back again because of him!
Look no further if you are savoring authentic Mexican food, ordered the guacamole and Camarones À la Diabla; my mouth was exploded with flavor and the heat was so good! I am not exaggerating either. My fiancé ordered the enchiladas and without sounding repetitive it was delicious! Our server Kyle was phenomenal, he made the restaurant seem like home. Will be coming back here next time I am in San Marcos.
We loved this place. The food was amazing and good portion size. The service was excellent. Food came out reasonably fast and anything missing or needed was brought out almost immediately. The place was really clean despite being moderately busy. Will definitely come back here if we’re in the area again
I had my rehearsal dinner in the outdoor patio a few months ago and it was amazing! Everything went so smoothly and it was gorgeous out. The forecast had a chance of rain, and they were quite flexible. About to book another family event there since we all loved it so much. Pretty affordable too!
Great find!! Tried their buffet for a future birthday brunch celebration and it was a hit - party of 20!!! Prices are reasonable, $10 bottles of champagne, buffet, so something for everybody, including the kids. Live music outside on the patio, great ambiance, good service and lots of smiles. We'll be coming back again and again. Thanks to Isabel and Noah for their great service!
For my first time trying this place, it was great! I really enjoyed the food, drinks, service and atmosphere. The employees are very welcoming and attentive. I like the quality and portion of the dishes ordered. The drinks tasted great too. The pricing is not toobad, It’s actually very similar to most restaurants. Definitely will like to come back here again!
We loved this place after a long day of travel! My taco salad was SO good highly recommend the beef. The margarita selection was excellent, I loved my frozen strawberry marg! We sat outside and the atmosphere was so fun, and I loved how chill it was. Our server was so nice too. Would definitely go back here!
Huge old fashion style Mexican restaurant. Tons of space and a “full bar.” I love sampling so of course we got the margarita flight. My husband and I shared but they are really small with ice so 2-3 sips and that’s it. They were good though. The chilaquiles could have had more sauce and a bit more flavor but they were good. Gotta love the chips and salsa! They have a Sunday brunch buffet too!

Super friendly service, quick delivery of hot and tasty food, warm chips, a nice breeze outside on the patio, and cold drinks made for a nice night out at Cocina del Charro.
Delicious food at reasonable prices. Great service and a cute interior! Would definitely recommend the guacamole and chicken flautas!
A group of us went here for happy hour and everyone enjoyed their meals. I had the albondigas soup and it was delicious. Great service from our server and prices were reasonable.

We eat at lot of Mexican food in chicago...we were craving good authentic Mexican food in our family trip to California...our server Kyle was the best...never had anyone better...5 stars across eve…
Food is good but not great. The staff is very pleasant. The food prices seem about right but the drinks are a bit high. Portions are smaller than most Mexican restaurants and I have always finished my plate however I never leave hungry or wanting more. The chips are not my favorite but the salsa is good, ask for the hot and then mix them together to your liking. 4 stars. Update: The two item combination went from 1399 to 1799. This was a pretty big jump for the regulars. I used to go here once a week but only go here about once a month now.
The service was amazing despite the very busy crowd. It was the day before Mother's Day. The atmosphere was loud but festive. There was no air conditioning, and it was 88 outside. The employees were hot, too. My mom and I ordered the same dish: Beef Chimichanga. My mom loved it and cleared her plate with ease, lol. I love chimichangas, but this one tasted different. It had onions and these green chiles, which I do not like. I'm a picky eater, though. The chips were warm and very tasty. Overall, it was good.
My girlfriend suggested this spot for happy hour, and I'm so glad she did--we liked it so much, we're thinking of making it a monthly tradition. Funny enough, when you walk in, there's a sign saying to check in with the hostess before sitting at the bar. Rule follower that I am, I did just that, and she promptly seated me. Within seconds, I was greeted with a basket of chips and salsa (which were really good) and asked what I'd like to drink. I ordered a glass of wine and caught some of the Dodgers game on TV--it was Opening Day, so the vibes were already great. Once my girlfriend arrived, she ordered her drink and we picked a few bites off the happy hour menu--tacos, nachos, and the bean dip. Everything was delicious and super reasonably priced. It didn't even feel like we were indulging, even though we totally were. Our bartenders were awesome--friendly and attentive, but not overbearing. We ended up hanging out for two hours without even realizing it, and I can easily see this becoming a regular spot for us. Honestly, I wouldn't hesitate to come back for a full sit-down dinner either--the main menu looked amazing.
Atmosphere was pleasant and the food was excellent. The service was lacking. We spilled a glass of water and requested a towel to clean it up the bus boy threw us a handful of napkins and kept on walking. Requested extra salsa, but never got it.
Good spot for mexican food but it's pretty pricey. The food is good and the margaritas are big! It's our go to Mexican restaurant in San Marcos
We were looking at a college close by, n we Googled Mexican restaurant s. And saw the online post for this restaurant. And it looked great, so we drove by. And the place is amazing! Great style and decor. And the staff are very friendly and helpful. And last but not least... the food was awesome! Everything we ordered was great 👍. If you are in town differently check them out.. well Werth it.
Went in the evening the spacious socially distant outdoor seating with lots of heaters it was a comfortable temperature for a chilly night. We had a flight of margaritas which included strawberry guava cucumber pineapple they were all pretty tasty. The fried ice cream was super yummy.. I also had a chicken and a beef taco chicken was definitely better than the beef. The service was very good the server was very attentive. It was not too crowded, masks are required until you're seated and tables are socially distanced. Overall it was a good night.
Cocina Del Charro is a really well restaurant it's been doing great for the last few years. I and the family come here during there weekend brunch special. The weekend brunch special have a great buffet set up, a excellent omelette bar set up, taco bar, and a really well bar during there weekend brunch special. The food quality is really great and the restaurant is really family friendly as well as the staff. I suggest coming to Cocina Del Charro during there weekend brunch special. The restaurant is a really well restaurant to have a good time with the family, date, friends, and solo.
This was a good Mexican place, and I was not disappointed. I had the shrimp mini chimichangas and they were delicious. They were piping hot and they were the best ones I have ever had. Service was good and there is no wait. If you ever need a good Mexican place to eat out in San Marcos, I think you’ll like it here.
“Work to live or live to work?” It’s an important question, is it not? No matter which side of the isle you inhabit on this issue, I think that we can all agree that while working it’s always best to work with good people. People that you can trust. A group of professionals who make you better and stretch you (especially if you’re in a leadership position). I mean, how can you truly lead without listening to the diverse viewpoints and recommendations of others? Well if you’re blessed to work alongside terrific colleagues like I am, and you have an opportunity to grab a meal together, then I’d suggest that you consider breaking bread with them at Cocina Del Charro. The food is good, the service is attentive, and they offer multiple dining room options at the San Marcos location to accommodate large or small gatherings that are conducive to work or private discussions. An added bonus is the support of a local business that is anchored within your community. 👍 Our Review Team did have one suggestion. @cocinadelcharro how about adding a Mariachi band to perform on that beautiful balcony of yours? And that’s…Henry’s Take. @henrystake
We went for lunch and sat on the side back patio. Nice shade. Our server was good but she was slammed during lunch on Saturday. It did take a bit to get drinks and refills and order came out wrong which wasn't her fault. I recommend if you want medium steak ask for medium rare because it's almost always over cooked. The food is seasoned well and looks delish plated. This is only of the only places I know which makes ground beef enchiladas. I grew up eating them that way and is always a fav of mine! Chips and Salsa is always tasty!
At times service was great. Other times we couldn't get water, chips, or refills. Food always great & when other servers stopped by, we were taken care of. Maybe she just had too many other tables inside.
I met a friend for lunch and we enjoyed a pleasant meal. I ordered the fish tacos with beans and rice; however, the tacos were quite salty. I did not intend to complain, but our server who was very attentive, noticed I hadn’t finished my meal and kindly asked if everything was okay. I shared my feedback, and although I declined an offer to replace the dish, she graciously removed it from the bill without my knowledge, which I thought was incredibly thoughtful. Based on the outstanding service alone, I would return and recommend Cocina Del Charro. Sometimes it’s not just about the food, exceptional service can truly make or break a dining experience. I regret that I did not catch her name, but her professionalism did not go unnoticed.
Food was good but I like the Cocina in Escondido better. The chimichanga was tasty but had too many beans and needed more chicken. The dinner salad was huge ! The pieces were too large. I took the whole salad home and cut it smaller so I could eat it. The site in Escondido just served it differently when I had it there. The server was great!
The food is pretty decent for the price. Maybe not 100% authentic but not too americanized. Atmosphere is really cool especially the Christmas decorations. As others have mentioned, the service is usually very slow. They seem to be chronically understaffed. So just plan on this and you'll be fine. Overall, would recommend Cocina del Charro.
I was there for lunch the day after Thanksgiving with some retired colleagues. Very spacious and clean indoor and outdoor seating. The four of us sat outdoors as it was a beautiful, warm, sunny day. Service was respectful, friendly, and flexible. Good, tasty food. I had a carne asada chimichanga with the standard serving of rice and beans. For a guy who used to have a big appetite, I thought it wasn’t as big a chimichanga as I was expecting. My colleagues made no comments about their food or service, so I assume it was satisfactory. Overall, Cocina Del Charro is a nice restaurant for a meal with friends or family.
Good food, great decor and atmosphere. I was recommended to go there by a colleague for their happy hour, glad I did. Happy Hour prices were very nice. The food was good and very flavorful. I liked the fish tacos on the happy hour menu. Unfortunately the service definitely needs some improvement but a little bit of patience was worth the visit and meal.

I like the food and the location, and I like this chain as an establishment. The service at this location was okay. They close pretty early and we got there just a half hour before. We waited for someone at the front for about 5 mins. They did seat but in the very loud lounge. There were patrons in the dining area still so I would have liked to sit there. The whole time we were being rushed in a polite way. I know a lot of people might take advantage and just hangout for a long time after close but it seems better service to allow for a little more time to relax and just lock the doors so no one else can come in and let the patrons finish and relax for at least an hour of eating time. I will definitely eat her again, but it's just a matter of feeling like it could be a little better and closing at 9:30 is really too early for a restaurant with a bar full of people enjoying themselves
It was our 1st time at this restaurant. I called a few days ahead of time and made reservation for outdoor seating for 10 people. When we arrived I was told no outdoor seating available & gave us an indoor table in the worst spot of the restaurant. The serving service was very good though!!.. Unfortunately, food was trouble. Few of us ordered Mahi Mahi which was among one of the more expensive dishes. Truthfully, didn't have any taste & felt like eating cardboard. The fajita was not good either & my son got stomach ache from it. All together, it was a disappointment. Although I was hoping it's going to be a good restaurant but I definitly wouldn't go back.
We visited this place last weekend and were surprised that they did not have enough vegetarian options. Even their salsas have chicken broth...who does that??!?? Ordered veggie fajitas, bean burrito and nachos. All three dishes were pretty bland. Had to satisfy our hunger with chips that they gave in the beginning. Will never go again.
Location 5 stars Food 5 stars 2nd time at Cocinas. NOW The reason for 3 stars 🌟. Is Customer service, it needs lots of improvement If you have patience then try it. We order ceviche I was told only on the weekends I ask someone else , he brought it out I was happy and at the same time disappointed 😞 they forgot to ask if we wanted a meal or just the tacos when we placed our order not much help from waitress, she is very friendly, but did not offer options to choose as plates, or just tacos, we also had to get up to request a ticket to check out after waiting for 9 minutes for our ticket.. but overall food is good.Just take some patience with you. Maybe the manager should walk around the tables asking customers if everything is O.K looks to me more like he was hiding .
We really wish we'd had a better experience, but unfortunately, our visit for happy hour was mediocre at best. The physical space is great—the place has a decent vibe, nice patio area, and a large bar. After that, the experience went downhill fast. The food was incredibly bland, and the service was disorganized and slow. The most visible issue was cleanliness: dirty dishes quickly piled up at the bar due to very slow bussing and bathroom stalls out of toilet paper and trash piling up. The drinks were also hit-or-miss: while the homemade infused tequilas were decent, the house margarita was surprisingly boring.
First Visit to this place. Host in the phone…not welcoming, cold, uncaring, didn’t even speak…just walked me to a table! The Patio win the fountain is lovely. Service is hit or miss. Food—depends on what you choose…chips & salsa is good (they have an extremely spicy salsa you can request). I mistakenly ordered the Beef Taquitos—very dry, tortilla wasn’t cooked in center, dry, bland tasting dish. But the Guacamole is amazing—highly recommend. Give it a try—just be sure what you order. Parking seems plentiful—hard to figure out where to enter…no parking by entrance…it’s in the back, but easily walk around.

The restaraunt itself is quite spacious. Very nice outside patio. Plenty of parking. The strip mall is in the process of going through a major renovation so it's a little different. The food was O.…
5 out of 10 for me that day!\nToo busy with few servers\nThe servers pay attention to the guys buying beers
I very much enjoyed the ambience of this restaurant. I greatly appreciated the beautiful architecture, live music, and friendly staff. We came for the Sunday brunch buffet to celebrate the Chri…
Unimpressed with the chicken tostada. Not much flavor and came with no condiments (sour cream or guacamole). Pretty bland.
Nice atmosphere, attentive service and decent food. Margaritas were excellent. We also enjoyed the appetizer shrimp chimichangas. We had gone for happy hour and it was not being honored probably …

Service was awesome, drinks great, food unfortunately came out cold and tasteless, -cold enchiladas, Over Fried flautas. Ruined our special night out. Won't recommend or go back.
We went there tonight for dinner and the service was not great. It was our wedding anniversary and I wanted to take my wife to a nice dinner! We had been here before. They sat us in the bar area, it did not appear too busy, maybe 5-6 other tables were occupied. The waiter completely ignored us all night. We ordered our drinks and the waiter didn’t come by again until 15-20 later, he would just walk by and not ask is anything. Finally, he came and asked us if we were ready to order, we placed the order for our food and the kitchen brought us the food. The waiter did not ask us afterwards if we needed anything else, he didn’t even stop by our table. I had to get up and ask the bartender for napkins, since we did not get any service from our waiter. I was hoping this would be a special evening for our anniversary, and it was a terrible experience. We will not be coming back again.
The last time I ate here the service was horrible still have a$20 gift card given to me to make up for the bad service. Haven’t gone back yet
Amazing architecture and atmosphere, however, this is one of those places where the fajitas come out with the fake smoke and sizzle, then the server has to say 'be careful, it's hot." You know what I mean. The target audience is gringo, the salsa is mild, and I ordered the bean dip and it was sweet/sour meaning the refried beans have been sitting out for too long. I decided to write this review after I felt sick the next day. My server was absolutely sweet and everybody there was amazing, it's just a sad effect that when you see a lot of pale faces in a Mexican restaurant, the food is going to be bad.
We go to have brunch frequently, this time we got there a little later than what we normally do. We had to inquire when we were going to be seated. I don’t think they were looking at list. Got seated outside which was no problem. By this time it’s 1:00 we were told at 1:30 they stop putting stuff out. We were still ok only having a half hour. Go first to the omelette station and half of the veggies and meat were gone. Plates and all. So made half of what we normally get for omelette. Go to regular area where food is at, no ribs, ham, chicharron all of the things they normally have! Lot of enchiladas, beans, rice, breakfast stuff, no shrimp stuff and not the normal fruit. Very upsetting and disappointing!!! Your charging customers full price so we r expecting all the normal spread of food. It needs to stop putting out at 1:30 not earlier. I told my husband sadly I don’t want to come back here anymore, he agreed. This was our to go place and where we would take family & friends. We heard other customers complaining as well.
Please know that I only leave reviews when I have had negative experiences and must feel the need to warn others! Fortunately I have not had many, but this one goes down in the books as the worst of …
The fajitas were so greasy, all the food was dripping in grease. No flavor and small portions. I would never go back there.
Ordered a large albondigas soup to go. Container half full. No chips or salsa. Food is so expensive and restaurants are still trying to rip you off. Had to go spend money at stater to get chips and salsa. Absolute bs
