North Beach Pizza is absolutely amazing! The flavors are incredible and the atmosphere is welcoming. If you’re looking for a Brazilian twist on pizza — like the classic chicken with catupiry (a delicious soft cheese) — this is definitely the place to go! Their menu has a great variety, and every bite feels like a perfect fusion of comfort and creativity. Highly recommend it if you want to try something different and unforgettable!

Our server Cynthia was so pleasant and quick to provide our request for more bread and water and marinara sauce. The meat ravioli did not disappoint and plenty to take home. The small salad was just enough to feed the two of us, as we had a 12 inch small North Beach pizza. We will enjoy The leftovers later.☺️🫶🏻

Best pizza I have had in a while. North Beach Pizza never disappoints. Your staff is friendly and food is consistently good. My mistake was trying to order pizza and takeout from other restaurants. Okay learned from my mistake. I’m back to stay a dedicated and loyal customer. Thank you!

Came by for a Too Good To Go surprise box and was pleasantly surprised; definitely a great deal for the price! The store was clean, the staff was friendly as well, and I’ll definitely swing by again next time I’m in the area (with an empty stomach).

I recently had dinner here with my family and it was perfect. We got a half and half pizza and each portion was absolutely amazing. The crust is phenomenal and the cheese is perfect. It reminds me very much of New York style cheese slices. The portions were also lovely and we had too much so a box was needed, it makes a great snack and next day lunch. I would recommend this to anyone on the peninsula specifically if you’re looking for a good value for a family size pie. Very prompt and friendly service. It’s Brazilian so of course hospitality was amazing! Give north beach a try!

Last night we headed to this location as a group of 16 people. Called ten min before arrival and they promised us spot. We had great food and great service. Ismael was such a great person to deal with. Very kind and very helpful. He did whatever we asked for. My Friends loved it so much that they said we will come back to this place again for sure. Thank u for making a wonderful night for us.

Great lasagna but Why do you put Feta cheese or something similar to your Caesar salad??? all the flavors were a bit overwhelming but the lasagna was perfect and the portion was huge!!!

the food is extremely good and delicious! service is excellent and the atmosphere is chill! overall this restaurant is really good! and pizza is huge!!

Are you still taking phone orders? Was referred to website, not a great option when driving. Getting no answer, I finally pulled over and used the web browser on my phone. Very inconvenient.

• pro: balanced sauce to cheese ratio; • cons: lackluster crust, missing toppings (and a questionable explanation by the manager for such), deceptive marketing, undisclosed fees Dined in Sunday evening of Sep 7 2025. Fairly empty dining room, was greeted by cashier quickly, and were allowed to seat ourselves. Waitress was prompt and attentive. Ordered off the Brazilian pizza section the 12 inch linguiça acebolada, which was supposed to include kielbasa, onions, oregano, and Kalamata olives (see picture of menu). Pizza came in a reasonable time, but without olives. Waitress came to check part way through (we started eating already, we were hungry) after tending to other customers, and I pointed out the omission of olives to her, to which she said she would check with the kitchen. She came back saying that her manager said yes, they put 4 olives on the pizza, and that the small quantity was due to the fact that Brazilians didn't like olives on pizza. I politely suggested that advertising olives in the description and only putting 4, was not appropriate. She offered to bring olives separately but I declined. In this review i included a picture of the pizza in question, perhaps someone reading this could point out the 4 olives to me, because i counted zero. The bill came and i paid with a credit card. The final check contained a credit card fee (~3.48% by my calculation, see redacted pic of receipt) that was not disclosed on the menu (front and back of the menu attached to this review for reference). I reported this fee to seefees.ca. I wished they would have used linguiça (either Brazilian or Portuguese), but won't count that against them since the description did say kielbasa. Otherwise this was an extremely disappointing experience. It's one thing to make an honest mistake and omit a topping, but to compound that with a bizarre excuse about Brazilians disliking olives on pizza... that doesn't sit well with me. Admittedly I'm not Brazilian so i can't truly verify that claim, but people who dislike olives will naturally order instead some other pizza that doesn't contain olives on the description. Lying about using 4 olives when none are visible is an even worse offense. If this was a pepperoni pizza that came with 0-4 slices of pepperoni, would anyone think that was acceptable? Would anyone believe offering to bring additional unbaked pepperoni on the side was a sincere effort to make things right? I can't say that i, or any other consumer, am a fan of hidden fees. Maybe others will read this review and it will help them make an informed choice how to spend their dining dollars now that they know. Hopefully seefees.ca will also update with this fee. In summary, I believe you should treat others like you want others to treat yourself... and I'm sad to say, North Beach Pizza San Mateo falls extremely short of this standard.

Ordered buffalo wings and half half large North Beach special + cable car pizza for pick up. Buffalo wings were so dry my throat was choking up. We actually had to make our own buffalo sauce because when we got home the wings were basically just fried wings with no sauce. The pizza is very mediocre, especially for the price. North Beach special had no flavor and the dough was soggy. Crust was okay. The cable car pizza was the best thing. The saving grace for it was the garlic sauce and had some flavor. Really sad I spent $60 to make my own buffalo sauce and mediocre pizza. :( Wish I could get a refund. If you're from the east coast, you will probably be disappointed.

We sat down, waited for a long time. It was only one other table. No one came to take our order. This place has changed so much over the past. It was our favorite pizza place. Is like they don’t care at all. Not coming back.

We can tell he did not want to serve us, we are never coming here again even though we were excited for the pizza.

Regrettable choice for dinner ... $48 for large with 4 toppings (which were very sparingly spaced). Cost was not announced when we finished the order. We were careful to carry the pizza home, but discovered that the toppings had moved around, into a glutinous mess. Sausage contained too much gristle.

The Calabrese was replaced with Portuguese sausage or something similar. I ask the owners to pay attention to what they are selling, because having seven locations is no use if you don’t maintain the quality standard, or at least ensure the correct ingredients are in each order.
