First, of course is the view. The Parroquia de San Miguel Arcangel loomed large ahead and shone brightly like a jewel against the stunning sunset. Then the service. The owner, Fernando, was a great communicator, conversant, friendly, attentive, and very helpful with the food descriptions and recommendations. We all enjoyed the delicious food and great wine in a warm and relaxing ambiance. We had such a great time that we returned just 3 days later. We definitely will come back!

I prefer Cielo over Quince. View is quite similar and definitely quieter. Food price and quality and service is better. Had beef mole and a vegetable risotto. Both very good. Lime pie dessert nice. Staff don't rush you and allow you to enjoy your meal and view.

Awesome restaurant with a terrace, right on the edge of the main square of San Miguel de Allende! Everyone there was very kind and went over the top to make sure our experience was amazing! Awesome sunset views of the cathedral! Ask for a table on the edge twords the cathedral for the best views! Service was great, food was amazing, and the atmosphere is inviting! If it's a weekend, make reservations and ask for an edge table because it isn't a large terrace so on busy days it can be busy! Definitely a recommended stop for a sunset dinner well you are in SMA!

Great service. Great View. Creative/tasty appetizers and cocktails. This restaurant can compete with the most expensive in centro for drinks, apps and view without paying extravagant prices. The seleccion de quesos (charcuterie) with their assorted cheese/jamon is better than the best “tapas” restaurant in the centro. The pineapple margarita is also exceptional. The view is as good as any other “rooftop” restaurants in centro.

Great restaurant one of our go-to's. Food is always really good. Service is usually on point however last night it was really cold and they don't have any space heaters up on the roof so it can get chilly at times where most of the other restaurants in San Miguel have heaters available. That's why I did not give five stars. Other than that the place is fantastic the food is good and the staff is wonderful. For those that don't speak Spanish the menu is in both English and Spanish.

Hermoso lugar con vistas espectaculares al centro, ambiente encantador y comida creativa. El servicio suele ser muy amable, aunque a veces un poco irregular. En general, una experiencia que vale la pena disfrutar. 🌟

Fui con um grupo grande en Junio 2025, era temprano y esperamos solo unos minutos a que acomodaran las mesas donde estaríamos. El lugar es lindo, tiene vista a la catedral y aunque todos son amables el servicio es muy lento. Desconozco si era por la hora (medio día) pero tardaron en darnos las cartas, en pedir la orden y tardaron aún más en traer los alimentos y bebidas solicitados, además no regresaban a ver si se nos ofrecía algo más. Hubo un tema con una bebida pero la cambiaron, también nos estaban cobrando una bebida extra pero si corrigieron el ticket. La comida tenía sabor regular (ni bueno ni malo) y las bebidas si sabían bien.

el aguachile no es lo mejor, pero esta ok, la cerveza siempre sera un 10, el lugar esta super relax, definitivamente lo recomendaría y volvería!

Sin duda su vista de la parroquia es hermosa ⛪️ ideal para cualquier persona ya qué hay personal que habla inglés y español perfectamente, cerca hay estacionamiento 🚗 por lo que podrás dejar tu carro y después de la comida pasear por las calles, la comida era deliciosa y muy fresca cero picante pero tenían la opción de traerte lo que necesitaras en condimentos como salsa de habanero lo cual se agradece ☺️ el tiempo de espera no es muy largo 😉 así que es una excelente opción si estás cerca de l jardín principal ⛲️

Desayunamos muy a gusto con una gran vista. Recomiendo mucho este lugar. En general lo que comimos estaba bueno.

El lugar sin duda tiene una de las mejores vistas del jardín, ya que está enseguida del templo. La comida está rica, pero definitivamente no es el mejor precio. Nosotros fuimos a desayunar, pasamos un rato agusto por el lugar agradable. Sin embargo los meseros estaban enfocados en atender una mesa más grande que era de puros estadounidenses en vez de nosotros. No estoy seguro si fue porque en verdad era una mesa grande, o porque preferían darle un mejor trato a ellos por una mejor propina en dólares. Fuera de ahí recomiendo el lugar para ir a desayunar agusto. Favor de tener en cuenta que esto es un lugar muy transitado por los turistas, por lo cual puede estar lleno. No es un lugar muy grande, así que te recomiendo entre más temprano mejor

The place is nice and the view is good, but the prices not so much. We only ordered 2 dishes which were definitely good but the prices were on the definitely on the "tourist area" side. They did serve a small free appetiser. Same with the drinks - good but expensive. I have no complaints about the service, it was good.

The Cielo is a beautiful rooftop bar / restaurant. The service is friendly and attentive. The menu is clear, which is a good thing. The food was good, but for me it was only enough for four stars, some dishes lacked that certain something extra. Overall, I can recommend the Cielo because it offers a beautiful view of San Miguel in the evening.

Buena vista de la catedral de San Miguel. Respecto a la comida me parece que las porciones son pequeñas y por el precio tendrían que ser mayores. El sabor también puede mejorar. El pollo y el salmón fueron los mejores. El servicio está bien, sin embargo la comida demoró y no había tantas mesas

Si lo que buscas es un lugar para comer rico, este no es el mejor lugar, pedimos lengua de res y por temporada un chile en nogada, en mi caso no valió la pena, no estaba mal, pero a ser rico o delicioso le faltó mucho. El lugar es bonito y tiene buena vista, sin embargo me arrepentí de lo que gastamos porque barato tampoco es, para lo gastado mejor en otro lugar

Elitistas, el lugar estaba vacio y en la entrada nos dijeron que haber si habia lugar, aun era bastante temprano, al principio solo nos ofrecieron la carta de bebidas (conteles) y no la de alimentos, en mesas que entraron poco despues les dieron ambas desde el inicio. Cócteles ricos pero nada increíbles, la comida estuvo rica y la carne en buen término, creo fue lo mejor del lugar. La vista esta muy padre, el atardecer de ve muy bonito, aunque no hacía frio estaban prendidos los calentadores y era un poco bochornoso el ambiente.

The food, cocktails, ambiance, and the view were great! The service, even though the waitresses were nice, they were very slow, distracted and put little attention to details. No hostess either. But I am guessing that you do not care since I see other reviews complaining about the same thing.

Server requested tip! She did not pass the machine over for us to enter she entered it as 20% when we said 10%. And of course we didn’t notice until we were given the receipt. The food was ok as was the service. The view incredible. I would not go back tho.

The view is great, the drink was delicious, we had the bone marrows and that was delicious too. However, the waiter was very sour and rude just to me and not my very obvious anglo husband. I have zero Hispanic/latin DNA but I could pass for a Latino so he assumed I was being a snob since my Spanish is very limited. He was a total jerk! There are so many awesome places in San Miguel de Allende that I don't need that kind of treatment on my vacation. Will never go back!

Comenzando por el recibimiento de la Hoste que al llegar hace mención que el consumo de un platillo por persona es obligatorio, desde ahí el condicionamiento y la forma en la que te lo dice no es un recibimiento agradable, ya de ahí tienes un mal sabor de boca, los meseros con actitud no muy agradable, en general el servicio tiene mucho que mejorar, la comida en cuestión al sabor puede mejorar bastante, los costos argumentado a por el tema Gourmet podría entenderse que la porción sea pequeña, pero el costo es bastante elevado comparo con algunos restaurantes que si son especializados en comida Gourmet, para una terraza el costo y comida es decepcionante y elevado; el tiempo de espera por los alimentos es alto mayor a 30 min siendo que solo estaban dos mesas más. La vista es agradable; el espacio pequeño.

Está súper ubicado, la terraza muy linda. Sin embargo el servicio tiene MUCHO por mejorar. Platos fríos y esperamos para que nos sirvieran mucho tiempo. El avocado toast muy rico, pero muuy chico. Los huevos cielo ricos pero les faltaba sabor.

Fui a comer al lugar pero la atención lo hace un lugar no tan ideal si va uno solo, además vi que a la salida estaba entrando otros clientes con un menor, le dijeron que ya no era hora para dejar entrar al niño de unos 10 años, a las 5 de la tarde. Además de eso les negaron el baño por no ser cliente, ¿Cómo es posible ese nivel tan raquítico de servicio? Así que si van estén preparados para migajear un servicio que aparte es más caro que otros lugares con terraza cerca de la parroquia.

My sister and I have been to Cielo several times over the past 4 years, and loved it. So when the cousins visited from the US, we rushed to make a reservation for 31 October. My experience was very disappointing. My beef filete with mole sauce was as good as ever. My sister's cauliflower risotto was not. It was soupy, mushy, lacked flavor and had an unpleasant texture containing some unknown tough material. The small lime pie was grainy and overwhelmed by the sugery, possibly marshmallow, whipped topping. But two things were worse and prompted me to write this negative review. They played pounding pop disco music that was so loud we couldn't talk to each other. This dinner was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for family members who hadn't seen each other for decades, and we couldn't even talk. I asked 3 times to have the volume lowered. Each time it was temporarily decreased, then increased. Finally, the service was terrible. The waitress missed getting my dinner order as she went around the table. I tried but couldn't get her attention. Everyone else's dinner arrived. I told her what had happened and placed my order. It took so long to arrive that everyone else at the table had finished theirs before I was served. I quickly ate as everyone was waiting. Finally, our waitress never returned with the dessert menu. I asked another waitress for this, and she brought 1 to a table of 6. I got up and got several more myself and passed them out. I had loved Cielo in the past. But our experience tonight was unacceptable in an expensive restaurant. I won't be back.

Ordered a Steak Mid-well and they gave me a way undercooked steak...With so much fat it was gross...Paytime make sure to double check your tab they tried to charge me an entire plate i didnt even order 30dlls extra...Salmon was awesome wife ordered that ...be careful with tab🧐

The waitress only gave me a drink menu even though I said I was there for lunch, and I watched her give other people a food menu upon being seated, so I don't know what that was about. I had the passionfruit gin to drink and the risotto. The bread that came with the risotto was the best part of the meal; the drink and risotto were fine. The waitress didn't come to see how the food was or ask if I wanted another drink. Someone else came over and took my empty glasses and another person came over and cleared my plates, but the waitress still didn't come over. In fact, I never found her; I has to ask someone else for the check. Terrible terrible service.

Tuve la oportunidad de subir a este lugar muy bonito, lamentablemente el servicio fue pésimo, desde el momento en que entramos no hubo nadie para recibirnos tuvimos que encontrar nuestro lugar ya que nadie nos dirigió a donde sentarnos. Ya sentados llegó una señorita de cabello rosa muy despota y grosera, a decirnos en un tono muy cortarte que no podíamos entrar con bebidas al restaurante (cosa que nadie dijo nada ni había señalamiento de lo contrario). Le ofrecí mi bebida para que se la llevara, a continuación la señorita hizo una mueca y de mala ganas tomó nuestras bebidas, para tirarlas. Fue tan malo el trato que mi esposo y yo decidimos pararnos he irnos. Ni tuvimos la oportunidad de consumir, ya que los malos tratos nos pareció una falta de respeto a nuestra persona. Por el servicio al cliente le doy 0 estrellas. I had the opportunity to walk in to this beautiful place, however for the bad customer service my husband and I decided to walk out. First we walked in unattended, nobody was at the entrance to receive us, and we proceed to sit ourselves (our first time in San Miguel de Allende) A young lady with pink hair came to our table and told us that drinks from outside are not allowed, so we proceed to offered our drinks so she can take away, she was very disrespectful with a petty attitude.

What drew our attention to this place was the rooftop location. Walked in the host was friendly and welcoming. Once at the table we waited longer than expected before being assisted. Right away the tone was set for the rest. Ordered a baked potato to start, took about 20 minutes to arrive and it was undercooked. Told our server and his response was literally, “oh” and walked away never to return. A second server was flagged down, she was friendly. This was all I needed to know. Finished our drinks and left. The view is beautiful, but the service and food ruined the experience.

Host was really friendly and inviting but I definitely can’t say the same about the server. Wait time for a server to come was a little longer than expected. I would understand if they were busy but only had three other tables. I ordered an appetizer baked potato to be exact, it was under cooked. I told the server nicely about the undercooked potato and his response was oh and walked away never to come back. I had to wave down another server who was helpful which I really appreciate.
