Buenos tragos. Buena comida. Música en vivo. Excelente grupo que toca música Rock.
Excelente atención y comida. Vista al mar hacia playa del Carmen. Café gourmet 😋
⚠️⚠️⚠️ Check your bill - the waiter literally cancelled the transaction and typed in a different amount right in front of me! When I called them out they reversed the transaction without showing me the card receipt and put it through again. Putting 5* so hopefully this review is more visible.
Palmeras is in Centro near the ferry terminal. It is easy to access and offers views of the ocean as you dine. There are two seating options: a glassed in an air-conditioned area or outside on the covered patios. Our watiers, Carlos and Ramiro, were exceptional. We ordered a beef and a shrimp fajita plate. Both were hot, sizzling, and delicious.
Stopped here for my second visit on a cruise. It was so good the 1st time that I came straight here from the port. It did not disappoint! I had the shrimp fajitas and they were amazing. My wife had the chicken burrito and it was also very good. The guacamole is so fresh and delicious. Prices are as expected in a tourist area. Service is exceptional. If we're in Cozumel again, we'll be eating at Palmeras.
Freaking awesome stop if you are hungry after the ferry ride. Was looking for a place to eat and this place did not disappoint. If you are looking for cheap and good food then this is your place. Definitely order the sopa de Lima if you are into soups. This soup won't disappoint if you; it's basically chicken, tortillas chip strips, tomato and if I'm not mistaken jalapeno just for taste. It's not spicy at all. If you have kids and want a soup for them this will do the trick The molletes are delicious but i wish they could be a bit more toasted. Most of the dishes have a side of rice but if it doesn't order it as a side, you won't regret it. It has a distinctive flavor that i can't figure out what is it. The guacamole it's fresh so a must if you like avocados If you want something refreshing order the limonada mineral. You'll thank me later
Great location, right by the ferry terminal. They had people playing music by your table for some tips. We ordered chicken taco and veggie burrito and it tasted… like they should. The host said it would be a 20 minute wait time since it was peak lunch hours but we were seated in under 5 minutes and the wait for food was also not too bad.
My wife and I really loved to eat here, we ate here twice during our stay. They serve a wide variety of foods! The fajitas were excellent as were the fried shrimp (hand battered) and BLT. They give you chips and Pico de gallo. Water is bottled and the lemonade freshly squeezed. We sat on the patio and were never bothered by bugs. A nearby restaurant had live music which we enjoyed as we ate dinner. We would definitely eat here again.!
Called in after arriving on the ferry opposite great staff big portions of great food and plenty of choice for beers and drinks priced well defo worth a try

Ate lunch on a cruise day. Great ocean view, awesome margaritas. Good food, decent prices. Will definitely return in future.
Guy at the port said this was a great Mexican resturaunt and its certaintly a resturaunt in Mexico. The nachos were good, not what our group was looking for. This is a place for Americans who need to be hand held their first time trying rice and beans.
Great place near the ferry station. They have a patio and air conditioned area. The service was great, and all servers were friendly. The restaurant was nice inside and clean. I came here to meet some family and have some beers a small bite. We had the ceviche and guacamole, both where good and now I will have to return and try more of their food.
We visited this restaurant, the Cozumel Palmeras, while cruising the Caribbean. We were greeted and served by Fernando Castro - pictured. The service and food were very nice and the cost was very reasonable. I would recommend the fish taco and mixed platter meals, which were very, very tasty. Highly recommend this very friendly and authentic Mexican restaurant.
Recommended by our tour driver. We stopped on the port while on our cruise. We sat by the windows which were wide open. Almost like doors. We were able to catch the nice breeze & look out into the area. I had the chicken tacos but they were alright. They had a lot of things on the menu.

What a rip off. Popped in while visiting on a cruise. Won’t be back. $25 USD for 4 small bottles of beer (Dos Equis) and a water. Avoid these crazy prices.

This place is located right in the middle of the plaza where all the action is. Right across from the ferry terminal. We avoided it in the past because we thought it would be expensive and overrat…
Nice dinner place with view of the water. Juan Carlos ( assistant mgr ) was very friendly- helped us to celebrate a birthday with super delicious Tres Leches cake. Food was delicious too.
Ordered Fish tacos, fish itself was nice the taco needed more flavour. Also ordered seperate chips which were good but overall was an average meal. Definitely not worth $35 (USD) for tacos chips and two soft drinks.
Me sentí estafado.
I normally don’t take the time to write reviews on places I didn’t love; this place though warranted the feedback. We walked by and loved the open air feel of the restaurant and view looking out over the water. It caught our attention and we intentionally came back that night for dinner; mostly to our disappointment. We did get seated in a very nice corner table with a beautiful view of the water and there was a nice warm breeze there to enjoy. And the server was friendly. Unfortunately, we didn’t know it at the time, but our experience would peak right there. I was looking forward to a nice margarita to complement the ambiance in which we had sat down only to find they wanted 350 pesos for their Cadillac version. At the time of this review, that translated to $19USD. I’m not usually focussed on price in my dining experience (choose the restaurant knowing what you are getting into); but this just seemed like a gratuitous tourist gouging and it rubbed me wrong right out of the gates. 3+ times the price of a beer. I asked if included a premium tequila to find it was Cazadores. I asked if it included Grand Marnier or triple sec and was told yes. I was also told, for 500 Pesos (doing the math here $26 USD), I could have Don Julio! 🙄🤬. I was so looking forward to a nice margarita, my wife and I decided to just get the Cazadores even though I felt like I was being bent over. Unbelievably, things went further South from there. When they came, upon first sip, my wife and I looked at each other like 😳😩🤮. Seriously, worse margarita I have ever had, and let’s just say I’ve had more margaritas than I probably should admit and, many bad ones in that sampling; but, this one stood clearly at the bottom. Seriously, because it is really not that hard to make, you’d have to try to make a margarita this bad! In fairness, to the waiter and the manager, they agreed to charge us only for the classic, and brought my wife a replacement with the classic, which unfortunately was almost as bad. If you are really looking forward to a Margarita, let me be really clear, this is NOT the place. Ok, enough about the Margarita, moving on. Unfortunately, while, up from the bottom, still not much to be positive about. I had been looking forward to and therefore tried the Tortillia soup. Did not meet my expectations at all! Insipid, and the tortilla strips seemed as if they had been soaking in the soup for hours by the time it was served. For entrees, my wife had a combo chicken steak fajita. It was over salted and both dry and oily; who knew that was even possible But, I can find some positive in the guacamole being good. I had the Beef QuesaBirria off the January Specials menu (I see what you did there). The Birria was decent enough, tender and flavorful, served with a tin of the cooking sauce on the side; but the tortillas were on the dry side and didn’t seem fresh. A relatively plain and uninspiring dish. Starting to feel like this place might be a chain restaurant? I might have just got on the wrong track with the Margarita, essentially setting me up for the rest of the meal; but, the meal was, being generous here, average, at best, and there are just too many other choices in town to make this your stop IMO. I don’t get the overall 4 star rating from my experience.
Lovely tropical decor and decent service. Food is overpriced and not good. Ordered pizza and soap de Lima. I've had better food at seven eleven. Also the mojito was watered down, not enough rum or sugar. Yuch.

I was charged $50 USD for three fish tacos and some chicken with 3 beers. The food did not show up for over 1 hour and was ice cold. They did not have the type of beer that I wanted so they subst…
