I grew up eating here as a kid when visiting my grandparents. The pizza tastes the same. Crispy crust, a little chewy, the right amount of good sauce, and a generous amount of cheese🤌. It's not cheap, but it seems like a good value for the quality and quantity of the ingredients. Glad I made the nostalgic trip here when in town.

The pizza and sandwiches were delicious and the portions were huge at very reasonable prices! Every employee we interacted with was very kind and helpful. The restaurant had a nice casual vibe and had a couple of TVs where we were able to watch an NBA game as we ate. Will definitely go back if I'm in the area again in the future!

My husband and I went here for lunch. We are from out of country. What a fantastic lunch. The meat sauce was so flavorful and the minestrone soup was amazing. We shared and it was still too much food. Service was superb. We were waiting in line later that night at our hotel restaurant and waiting and waiting and they were obviously understaffed. My hubby looked at me and said, do you want to go back to where we had lunch. Yes! The food will be excellent, service will be great and I have another opportunity to figure out what's in that meat sauce. We had the exact same meal and could not finish as the portions are so generous. Thank you for the best italian food at a reasonable price!

Excellent atmosphere, with a great beer selection where I was able to enjoy the Kings game while enjoying excellent pizza. They have many options to choose from, including excellent wings and both the pastrami and torpedo sandwiches must be tried. Very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive staff. Whole family had a great time.

Buono's Cucina makes awesome pizzas! I had a personal 2 topping pizza that was one of the best I've had! My wife had a gluten free base that she said was the best she's had. Fresh ingredients and an amazing crust cooked to perfection. Highly recommend!

I dined in for their $15 all-you-can-eat buffet, and it was honestly a great experience! From the fresh, cheesy pizza to the perfectly seasoned pasta and crisp, refreshing salad, everything was delicious. You really can’t beat the value, endless refills of your favorites for such an affordable price. The atmosphere was casual and welcoming, and the food kept coming out hot and fresh. Whether you’re a pizza lover or just looking for a satisfying meal without breaking the bank, I highly recommend giving Buono’s a try. I’ll definitely be back!

Ordered the personal pizza and a pasta (linguine with shrimp), with garlic bread. Prices were more than reasonable for the quality of food and quantity. The atmosphere was great. They have a bar and inside dining that is spacious, as well as outside covered patio dining.

As someone with Celiac, it's difficult to find any restaurant that I can feel safe eating. Spent a month in San Pedro for work and after reading multiple reviews, and speaking to folks, I knew this was the place to go. They did not disappoint. Pizza was hot, fresh, and amazingly delicious. I don't know how they do it with their cauliflower crust, and I don't care. I just want more. Thanks you for taking care of me multiple times during my stay! I will be back!

This place had an excellent food and have helped me maintain a Gerkins diet to fight my health conditions. I love the fresh salad bar and their cauliflower crust pizza is the absolute best. I would like to personally thank the staff Startin with Matthew, Mariela,Mia,Jonathan, Sean,Celeste,Leo,Heather, Samantha, David,Sergio and if forgot anyone please absolve me for the oversight, it's not intentional. Thin enough crust to have a nice crunch, but thick enough to hold the toppings without becoming limp. Cooked to perfection so you didn't break your teeth nor find uncooked, soggy parts. The toppings were flavoursome and plentiful, completely covering the base.... no corporate induced shortage of ingredients here, each pizza is clearly made with skill and pride - as though they had made to eat themselves. Hubby really enjoyed his Pepperoni and mushroom (regular base) also. 10/10 from us Team Buono! Keep up the great work. We will enjoy our cake later. Thank you.

We had the family meal with a meatballs and pepperoni pizza ans spaghetti. We got the wrong pasta but it was so good we didn't care.

The pizza is always fantastic, but lately the cut jobs have been terrible. I'll never understand how you can take a beautiful pie and cut it so badly. Not even cut through at the edges. C'mon, man.

Would recommend the mozzarella sticks- cheesy. We also had the meat, meat, meat pizza - crust was amazing.

A great little pizza restaurant in San Pedro. The pizza was very good- the perfect amount of sauce (not too sweet or too spicy), decent amount of toppings (I ordered fresh tomatoes and mushrooms). The employees were all very polite and attentive. They have 2 large TVs from what I recall. Both had games on so it seems like a good place to watch a game and have a beer and pizza. Very relaxed and comfortable. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of five is that they only serve pizza by the slice until 4 pm. I hadn't seen anything posted or noted online that you can only get single slices until 4 pm so that was a little surprising. I ended up paying a little over $13 for a personal pizza and couldn't eat the whole thing myself so that was a little irritating. I understand rules for restaurants but it would be nice if rules like that were noted or posted somewhere for patrons to know about beforehand.

We ordered lasagna and penne. They somehow forgot the penne. They brought the lasagne out with 2 plates. They quickly gave us a refund on the dish they forgot and apologized, but we weren't too impressed with the overall service. There were 7 or 8 people working but nobody came to our table except to deliver the meal. Luckily the lasagna serving was enough for two and it was delicious or I would have given lower ratings all around.

Cleanliness wasn't the greatest under the tables and especially in the unisex restrooms. 1 was out of paper towels.

In fact; Buonos used to be on Gaffey in some run down hole in the wall building which wasn't much to speak of but it had since moved to it's new location which was quite nice. We decided to go with a favorite of ours. We ordered a medium pepperoni, mushroom and bell pepper pizza with a side salad with a couple drinks. Let's talk service; We met a nice young lady who told had worked at the previous location and preferred this one, as did we but she did tell us about the other 2 locations they had in Long Beach which one of them is still operated in some dilapidated older building which lends itself the the authenticity of their legacy. We talked a bit and found her to be quite pleasant and a great asset to this place. She was very accommodating with a friendly demeanor. Anyhow; We took a seat in their outside dining area and without much time elapsing a young man brings out a Bruschetta and places it on our table. We didn't order this from them but I didn't want to turn this away since it looked so good. My girlfriend has better morals than I and felt it necessary to mention that we did not order this, only to find out that this comes complimentary with all dine in meals. Score! It was very good. (See pics). We took this thing down in mere minutes. The pizza had arrived shortly thereafter and it looked good. The ingredients were fresh and the pizza crust was golden brown and crispy. Good job. There is an abundance of cheesy goodness on this pie. The taste? Yeah..it is good. Is it the best I have ever had? No...but it is a good pizza none the less. Our salad arrived shortly after this and it looked very fresh. They take pride in their product and it goes to show. My recommendation; I would eat here again..In fact; I would even give some of their other dishes a try. I gave this place a 4 star because it is worth the price and the service was very good. I may upgrade the star if the other foods prove to be delicious..more on that later.

Sorry. This place has really disappointed me since they have moved to 6th. First time I visited is when they first opened and my food took about 45 minutes to come out. I gave them the benefit on account that they just opened. Came another time for the lunch buffet and it wasn't bad, because of the price, but it definitely wasn't good. The third time I came was for a slice of pizza and a sandwich and it took about 35 minutes and the place wasn't very busy. Not really digging it.

Cute place. Staff is nice and friendly and helpful. Clean. Pizza was mid. Fettuccini was good, our bread had a hair in it. Didn't say anything just kind meh. Pizza was really greasy so greasy the cheese kind just slid off. Wouldn't go back for pizza.

This is a DoorDash order. The taste itself was fine but the pizza was too well-done for my taste. We didn't make any special requests but having that option in DoorDash would be great so we can ask for less oven time.

Ordered one pizza, half pepperoni half buonos special. They charged us for both pizzas separately. No restaurant has ever done that before and I've been to the long beach location. $57 for a large pizza is egregious. Won't be going again. (Edit) we were dine in, not third party.

The place has 2 or 3 people waiting for their to go order and maybe 3 or 4 people eating at establishment. We placed our usual order a personal pizza and a 12" sub that we share. We find a small table to sit. While we were waiting, there were 3-4 employees standing around. A big family of about 6 takes the tables next to us. And other small groups come in that are also dining in. The employees just stand around and chat. They have a basket filled with utensils and cloth napkins. Not one thought about bringing them to the tables. Our food comes out, and the pizza is great. But our 12" torpedo is almost as hard as a rock. I took a few bites, but the bread is too hard. It seems like they are using 2-3 days old bread. I called our server over and told him. He took it to the kitchen to have them remake it with a fresher bread. But it was from the same batch. My wife and I ate it, but it should not be this way. She doesn't like to complain so I didn't say anything anymore. But it is sad how these establishments go down in quality and service while prices go up. While we were eating, I had to ask for napkins and parmesan cheese. Good thing our young server was the only one being helpful. A few minutes later, I see two gentlemen from different tables get up to ask for utensils because no one brought them to the table. I live in Long Beach and usually go to Ocean location. But I have also been to San Pedro location, since they were on Gaffey. Hope they can bring back quality and customer service soon.

This is a DoorDash order. The taste itself was fine but the pizza was too well-done for my taste. We didn't make any special requests but having that option in DoorDash would be great so we can ask for less oven time.

We were hoping to find delicious food at this restaurant. However, it was very dissapointing. We ordered Fettuccine Alfredo, soaked in oil. We also got Cannelloni which was slightly better but nothing remarkable. Garlic bread super dry. Old bread. No garlic flavour. Dessert portions very tiny for the price. Looking for bew restaurant and try new flavours is always a gamble. Unfortunately we lost this time.

The atmosphere is dark (good for some people & bad for others, depends on what u want). Waiters were nice. Food is absolute crap, food reminds me of microwave food, I regret buying & eating, especially for the price. And they dont allow check splits even if it's only for 1 item / 1 person. Way to make your clients feel worse about a food place & possibly unwelcome.🤦‍♂️ If you guys want a good pizza place, then definitely go to the ones on 2nd street. They are the same price & sometimes even cheaper than this place, while also being better quality. And a bonus, they allow check splits.

I used to order from this place and it used to be just "ok" but to be completely honest not as good an Buonello's. However it has been awhile and I sometimes get the two mixed up. So I have the misfortune order from here and every time in the last several years the food has been terrible. I think pizza dough has clearly been previously frozen and the cheese is not fresh. The meatballs taste like how dog food smells. The only thing moderately good that I ordered from here was the roast beef sandwich. But even then the bread was incredibly subpar. Very dissatisfied. If you are thinking of going to this place I HIGHLY encourage Buonello's New York Pizza; They are consistent in their quality of food but also are incredibly friendly.
