LAMB!!!!!!!! PORK!!! Our firstst time to Slavko. Friends have come here for years and have brought their wonderful fried chicken and potatoes to dinners. We had their lamb shank which comes with an equally stellar rice dish and their ribs which comes with sweet and savoury baked beans. Both dishes also have their outstanding potatoes. We over ordered as we also added Mac and cheese and coleslaw to our order. The Mac is a good side with the barbeque. The coleslaw was very fresh. Coleslaws was the bright sweetness which elevated the BBQ. We have plenty left over for dinner tonight. It's a San Pedro institution that is worth a drive! As we are packing up our left overs...Granny got run-over by a reindeer was playing on the radio....Best Holiday Ever 💕💞💕💞

Old World Croation deli serving wonderful food. Fried (broasted) Chicken, broasted potatoes, ribs, and a lot of other delicious food to choose from. A staple in the San Pedro community, I've been coming here since my early childhood (1970's) and I continue to do so every now and then from Anaheim. To me, it's a great place to stop by and pick up a meal to have a family picnic at the park.

Food was hot, delicious and plentiful. Loved the lamb shanks and the chicken is done just right & crispy. Jim was most kind carrying the purchases to the car.

Slavkos is a walk down memory lane with the smell of delicious chicken and the hospitality of San Pedro historic Croatian roots. Reasonably priced it amazes that such good food competes with the price of Colonel Sanders. Slavkos has the quality only Foodies can accept but the prices any passerby would not pass up. Food is excellent here. The set up of the place kinda threw me off at first but I was in a mood to discover and I'm so glad I was. I got the ribs and my girlfriend got the fish. This was the perfect Valentine's day dinner. Everything was absolutely great and the fried potatoes are 🔥. Staff was very nice and the best part... The prices are excellent. I'll definitely be back.

Then eating here since I was 14 years old and I'm 62. Junior High School I used to eat there potato nuggets for lunch cost like a quarter. They pressure cook and Fry at the same time you're just excellent burnt my mouth more than once. Sandwiches are wonderful chicken is good too.

I have been going here for years, for chicken, swordfish, chicken livers, Turkey livers, Turkey gravy and lamb shank. Always super nice folks and the food is always fresh and delicious! They are a HUGE part of our Thanksgiving

Dad wanted Slacko's so off we went down to satisfy his craving. Jollepeno poppers were on point and the potatoes and chicken nuggets were just want dad needed. Excellent service! They opened early for us so we didn't have to stand outside. Thank you so much! We will definitely be back.

Slavkos. Dear old Slavkos! It has that small town home town charm that's hard to find nowadays! Brian is a wonderful positive person and goes out of his way to make everyone feel special. The ribs and the rotisserie chicken are tasty! I love the pineapple ham during the holidays! I like a lot of things here. By far though, the potato wedges are the best when you get them crispy! I could eat them all day! I love the seasoning you can add on them too!☺ I've seen this place grow and continue to grow. It makes me smile. It's a San Pedro staple. I love it!

I don’t live super close by so I hadn’t gone yet. as a total coincidence, we happened to be driving by in the area and I told my man to pull over. we had lunch plans somewhere else, but I asked for some gizzards as a snack. we walked in and the cashier was so nice and gave us free sample potato bites! everyone was nice and it came out quick, and the place was clean and the food was fresh. the fryer oil was even clean. after we left, I was raving about the place, and my husband told me he considered telling me that we should cancel our lunch plans and just order more food there and have it for lunch.. we didn’t, but we will be back very soon.

What began as a poultry butcher in 1922 (yes, 102 years ago!) became more of a fast food restaurant in the 1950’s and 1960’s when they changed locations twice. This gave the opportunity for the Croatian immigrant owners to sneak some foods from back home onto the menu.

Floored with this gem for lunch, lived in San Pedro all my life and until now had a chance to try this place. I ordered some nugs on nugs, deep fried chicken and delectable potato bites $7.50, 😋 full, tasty, quick, it can't be beat. Only the tip of the iceburg for trying food here, definently coming back!

The staff was so friendly and courteous even as we were looking over the menu they gave us some sample items just to try out the chicken and the fried potato are worth it oh yeah they make some decent coleslaw as well whenever I'm down and around San Pedro or terminal Island I will be visiting this place again. Chicken was great as usual. Unfortunately, the macaroni did taste a bit off and I became sick probably from the mayonnaise. I have been going to Slavkos for 23 years and this is the first time something like this has happened.

For anyone who appreciates comfort food at its best, Slavkos Harbor Poultry is a must-visit. This stalwart has been gracing our town for over a century, and their offerings reflect the rich tradition and culinary expertise they've honed over the years. The standout star on their menu is, without doubt, their fried chicken. Expertly seasoned and fried to perfection, this is a dish that takes you on a flavorful journey from the first bite to the last. The skin is deliciously crispy, the meat succulent and tender – it's quite simply the best fried chicken you'll find in town. The potatoes and cevapcici are equally impressive, adding a satisfying heft and unique flavor profile that perfectly complements the chicken. I've yet to find another place that does these dishes justice the way Slavkos does. My only reservation, and the reason for the four-star rating, is the restaurant's ambiance. While the food evokes a sense of comfort and nostalgia, the interior of Slavkos falls somewhat short of that. It's not that it's unpleasant, just that it doesn't quite match the caliber of their food. A more inviting, warm, and modern interior could truly transform the dining experience here. I wish that I could sit and enjoy a meal with friends in the restaurant. Despite this, I wholeheartedly recommend Slavkos Harbor Poultry for their excellent food. The slight shortcoming in ambiance is easily outweighed by their masterful cooking. Take-out is a great option, but I do hope they revamp the dining area to reflect the quality and tradition they represent. Until then, I'm more than happy to enjoy their incredible cuisine from the comfort of my home.

The food is ok but doesn't compare to el pollo loco or stonefire. The atmosphere is classic old school so it's fun to try it once but you won't come back for the food.

The owner told me I will never go hungry . I was really not happy with that rude comment. Now I suffer from deep depression now I'm depressed and sad that he told me I'll never go hungry

Potatoes were not good at all. I remember the killer potatoes were in a log form with spices. 40 bucks for a small tray of cubed roasted? Potatoes was a waste of money.

Food is very good,especially the chicken nuggets. BUT the customer service sucks big time. I recently was at Slavkos and was the only customer at the counter. I stood there for approximately 5 minutes, ( there were 2 young employees behind the counter) and neither one of them greeted me or asked if they could help me. They were just talking to each other. I had to coach them about customer service. After that i just walked out of the business, without ordering.
