Christmas night 2021. Placed order at 1pm for 630 delivery. Christmas is crazy busy for good Chinese food. The people at Yet Wah called and told me they were going to be late. It's Christmas, I knew they would be slammed. The BEST food..... The BEST service The Nicest people working on Christmas. Thank you so much for a great dinner and something you don't get too often these days. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! YOU ALL ROCK. I am following now and have leftovers for tomorrow. The lettuce ossoms were AMAZING as was the Chowfun. Brad-
Great food, pretty good service. Walked in and kitchen was closing to prep for dinner, and the server was very polite and seated me anyway, I had an amazing lunch and great view of fourth street, love to people watch. The server was very chatty, which can be nice when eating alone.
Delicious chicken salad, the Best, miss It a lot, but now i live so far. We received a very good attention, the waiter Joaquín was super súper good. Congrats!
Almond pressed duck is excellent! Any complimentary side dish seems to be good too. Some of the best Chinese food around, best enjoyed freshly served as dine-in.
My girlfriend and I were staying at San Rafael for the weekend and were looking for a restaurant that stays open after 9pm. Not an easy task but eventually we found Yet Wah, and we glad that we did. Our server was extremely nice and friendly and the food was amazing. We order the dinner platter or sampler or something like that for 2 and got plenty of food, more than we could finish, including a bootle of wine.
The set meals are good and worth the price. My son love the hot sour soup,we will come back again.
In fairness, I've been a customer for about 20 years. This tells you how much my family and I love this place. Their waitstaff patiently taught my Scotch-Irish grandsons how to use chopsticks! The food continues to be excellent. Of course we have our favorites, but they have all the classics plus many more great dishes. You won't be disappointed, and you may find some new favs. Don Not Hesitate to Adventure! In these times, I appreciate being able to call in an order for delivery. That's contactless delivery from a terrific guy who is great--even my doggy loves him! Thank you, Yet Wah! Here's to our next 20 years!
We have eaten there three times since opening. The food is delicious and hot when served. The fried foods are cooked perfectly and are not oily. I highly recommend Yan Peninsula for dim sum, dinner or banquet.
I am so excited to find Yet Wah for the first time and so grateful they are open til midnight! They have great decor and lighting for a Chinese restaurant, and a full bar! We ordered the Kung Pao Scallops (without the green bell pepper, which they were happy to accommodate). The scallops were so tender and fresh tasting, and the portion was generous for a $21 dish of scallops, onion, water chestnuts, slices of crunchy seaweed and peanuts. We also ordered the spicy garlic eggplant which was a huge portion and melted in our mouths. The sauce is the traditional sweet, tangy and spicy which they got in pretty good balance with the piping hot eggplant. It’s great to know about this place. The menu is huge so much to keep coming back for. And our server (from Goa surprisingly) was super sweet and friendly. I would only recommend them changing out two white lightbulbs that were out of theme with all the others of a softer warm tone. I’m sensitive to lighting so I noticed immediately and wanted to point that out because it’s much more inviting to have the consistent warm tone, and so rare for a Chinese restaurant to care about lighting at all. Lastly, I’d recommend at least a little red glass jar with a LED candle in it on each table as decor. The tables are bare and need something. I will be back though regardless!
Nice people with fantastic service. I got the hot and sour soup, and it’s so good! Very spicy, it’s perfect! I got it Togo and didn’t open the soup for about 40 minutes after receiving it, and it was somehow still steaming hot. I will be enjoying their dining area next time, it’s dim lit inside and very pretty.
GREAT special occasion venue for small group!Comfortable semi-private Sunday lunch of 13 people, tables are partitioned off from the main restaurant area. Owner Simon was very helpful multiple times by phone regarding menu choices ("How spicy is it? What are the 'tender greens'?") and table arrangements (we chose 2 round tables with 'lazy Susan' servers, but could have used one large oval table if desired). Simon welcomed us to arrive early to decorate. I super appreciated being able to discuss questions since we live far away. Everyone thought the food was delicious. Princess Garden Chicken Salad, Steak Cubed with Tender Greens (we chose bok choy), Sweet & Sour Pork, Peking Duck with Buns, Glazed Walnut Prawns, Spinach with Garlic Sauce, Ice Cream. The "glazed walnut prawns" were fried crispy and not covered with white sauce. We actually liked them this way, but if you want yours more sticky, you could ask. Also, the Peking Duck was cut and not all of the breast pieces were separated from bone. If you want all the breast pieces to be boneless so it is simpler to lay the meat on the steamed bun, you should request that. We would gladly plan another gathering at Yet Wah.
Good people. Ordering deliveries with Uber to mill valley
This restaurant is amazing. Great food for a great price. Such a sweet little gem in the heart of San Rafael.
You mean, Yet Wah Yummy!!! The service was awesome! The drinks were delish! And for Chinese food, absolutely great!!!

Amazing staff- friendly, helpful, polite- had the opportunity to meet the owner- a true gentleman. The food is unreal- best I’ve had in the area- from the appetizers to the entrees everything is healthy, flavorful, and well -balanced- the desserts are the perfect ending to an evening of good food- the portion sizes are by far superior to any other restaurant I’ve been to in the area- and all at a good price! The atmosphere is clean and inviting, with perfect lighting and ambiance- perfect for a family night out or a date night!

Nice atmosphere and great service! Food is pretty decent
The portions here are very large, so I can eat as much as I want without worrying about the price.

I ordered delivery. Fried rice, the fried wontons, broccoli beef. All delicious..
Friday night and came in with my girlfriends and sat at the bar. Order some yummy appetizers (Eggrolls, potstickers, & chicken salad) and some drinkies from the full bar. Service was quick & friendly. We were able to chat and catch up without being rushed to leave. The manager was sweet and checked in on us and we had a good chat with him too. Would definitely come again!

One of the oldest Chinese food restaurants in Marin. I remember having a few decent meals here over the years but last few times we got delivery food was soggy and taste was off. Will not be ordering from here again unless better options are closed - like what happened tonight.
Tastes good but the quality of meat is terrible. Covered up by the sauce is strange tasting chunky meat and my water glass had something in it that they had to switch out the glass for. All said and done the staff are caring and friendly.
The waiter was very friendly and I enjoyed my meal there. Within the restaurant it was pretty nice and had some good decor. The food was pretty average. I got some fried wontons and they had little to no filling. The beef fun chow was good though.

Food is very generic and average, wasn't wowed simply. A whole in the wall will suit anyone that's not a family or party better. Service was great and people are very polite. Restaurant has a nice, comfortable feel to it but still upscale.

The food is okay, but the kitchen staff is pretty disorganized. It's often the only Chinese place that is open late, but expect a wait even if they're not busy. If you're doing pickup, do yourself a favor and add 20 minutes to when they say it will be ready. When I arrived, they took my payment straight away as though the food was ready, and then made me wait for another 20 minutes. Unfortunately I can't recommend Yet Wah
Great service, but most of the food was terrible including everything on the appetizer platter. Instead of a succulent pressed and wrapped chicken we had nasty burnt cardboard pressed chicken. This dish used to be one of Yet Wah's signature dishes. The barbecued pork spare ribs were also meagre and burnt. The rest of the food was also overdone end tasteless except for the satisfying war wonton soup - because they added the vegetables to the rich chicken broth we had requested. Yet Wah needs some serious help in the kitchen to get back to the iconic or late night dining spot it once was.
It was ok. The poor waiter, I hope he finds a position that fits him but .... it ain’t waiting tables! The cute little lady at least said hello and smiled a little. The food was not the old Wet Wah ... it is very very mild. There is no spice and I was surprised the way wonton was representative of some kinda rationing system in Cuba back in 2005. One shrimp, one piece of pork ... do t order the wah wonton. I brought friends and was disappointed. The waiter guy avoided taking our order... darn. They charged us for 3 dishes when we had two and they added incorrectly even. Very odd experience
The people are really nice, and it's conveniently located and pleasant. But when I went, some of our dishes were dirty and had to be replaced. The food was terrible. I had beef chow mein. The meat tasted weird, off. I literally spit it into my napkin. The egg roll filling was unidentifiable mush. The pork in the sweet and sour pork tasted gamy. Sorry, I wish I could recommend it, because the service was good and the people were nice, but the food was terrible. I returned my entire plate of food and asked that it be removed from our bill. They were very obliging.
Tuesday evening (7pm) must be a terrible time to come. Even the people sitting next to us had complaints about an empty restaurant (5 tables of two people) and yet of the two servers in the section, none of them came. Pricing is typical for the area, soup plus two entrees, side of broccoli and a beer will set you back $60. Not the worst price but given the quality it makes sense why. The egg drop soup is one flavor step above water. They used fresh (crunchy) veggies which was nice. The entrees were ok, full of sauce and just bland as can be. This is my first time here, given that Pings is closer I'll not be coming back to Yet Wah.

I grew up in San Rafael with good memories of eating at YetWah. But the food I got last night was not anything like I remembered. It was *terrible*. Honestly the worst. The broccoli beef was gross- bland and the texture was more like a soggy bandage than meat and the broccoli was mushy and brown. It tasted like it had been made a week ago, frozen and microwaved to room temperature. One of the worst things I’ve ever eaten. Also expensive. So disappointing. Never again.
Ordered take out, and the place was empty at the peak dinner hour while I waited. Ordered ahead by phone, but it still took 20 minutes of waiting. Food was not good at all. Soup was decent, but we tossed everything else after a few bites. Should have known better when the place was a ghost town while I waited.
I'm sorry but the food was really dry and overpriced. I've been here before n it was ok even tho it was expensive. But now it's bad. The tofu was like they took out the package and onto my plate with no sauce and that was 16.50. The staff *servers were nice but it seem as tho the owners were arguing in the middle of meal service.
We were excited to find a restaurant in downtown San Rafael that was open late but the food was terrible. Basically inedible. Waiter was nice. Would not go back.
I ordered a bottle of sparkling water and what they delivered was flat tap water or expired sparkling water and it had particles floating at the bottom! It was seriously the most disgusting order I've ever gotten from a restaurant. Will never order from there again!
The veggies were all over cooked in every dish. Service sleepy. Seen better days, only 2 other patrons
Hands-down the worst Mongolian beef I’ve ever had it was all vegetables which using Mongolian beef and onions in the meat. This is all vegetables and $36 and I got one pack of soy sauce which I asked for life voice like five times and then I’m gonna argument with a guy because that’s all I would get. 1
The food was the worst ever. Rice in fried rice was very old; beef with broccoli had almost no sauce; chicken dish was extremely dry and had no sauce whatsoever. Chow mein was dismal. Will not come back ever again.
So far this is the worst restaurant in town! We have 14 peoples seated with 2 table, ordered and waited for 1hour, ONLY brings one orders for each table and looks like they forgot our orders.
I ordered online from door dash. The food was terrible, I ordered won ton soup pork was mostly fatty and tasted old, and the soup tasteless. I also ordered beef chow fun. And the fun noodles tasted moldy. I had to dump both in the garbage. Yet wah in SF used to be very good. I would say BEWARE of this food
Unresponsive and didn’t deliver after almost 3 hours! I ordered $200 worth of food with these guys through their website at 4:30pm for 6:30pm delivery. At 7pm order details showed it was still scheduled to arrive at 6:30pm. I tried calling and there was no answer. I ended up calling their online ordering system, QMENU, who told me the restaurant had called them telling them they were behind on orders. So, after waiting 2 and a half hours, they still hadn’t started preparing our food. We were told we could either wait for an unknown amount of time for them to make our food or cancel our order. I canceled the order and don’t have any record of the cancellation. I’ll have to call my credit card company to do a chargeback. I’m a bit hangry as I write this. I wanted to eat 3 hours ago and now have no options left. Never again. Not this place.
Door Dash service is very slow
I ordered The General’s Chicken and combination Fried Rice. The General’s Chicken was dry fried over cooked pieces of breaded chicken with a few sesame seeds sprinkled sprinkled over the top. There was no vegetables and no sauce only dried pieces of fried chicken. I can honestly say I’ve never eaten Chinese food so poorly prepared in my entire life. They’re fried rice was her house combination and it had lots of bits and pieces of things but it to his very dry. I won’t never eat at this restaurant again
I had a major craving for hot and sour soup so I picked some up at Yet Wah since they're open later than most other places. It was the most disappointing hot and sour soup I have ever had. The soup was bland, it lacked that signatire tang that you expect from this dish. There were long slices of yellow onion in it that were crunchy and nearly raw. Most shocking were the tiny shrimp in it, they're like the shrimp that come in a Cup of Noodle. The texture tells me they were previously dried and they tasted like fish food. Not even Panda Express would try to pass that off onto their customers. This is clear proof that they don't care and they don't know how to cook. I will never eat there again and I urge you to stay away as well.
*DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY* *Fried wontons had almost NO MEAT inside * the szechuan chicken was extremely dry and obviously old * I orderd "fried chicken wings" as it's written on the menu and instead got fried chicken drum sticks ???? With only half the meat on it *I was charged $51.36 and for what I received I got scammed I can't even make this up GRADE: D-

I tried multiple of the different meats, all plain and dry, so dry that I couldn't even eat them, and the drink I got didn't even taste how it should have. The service was not good either, they did not check in on us once for refills, or to ask how we are doing. The atmosphere was not good either, instantly giving me a headache as I walked in.
Because of the holiday and as a manage of a 70 million dollar restaurant business. I cannot accept the attitude of the restaurant from foh staff today. In addition to the unprofessional attitude, there is no effective way to appease customers on the premise of commercial profits during the holidays, which is the biggest fatal flaw in the service industry. We waited for an hour and nine minutes and only got one pan-fried dumpling and four cups of Coke, which can be made in just ten minutes. Because of the holiday, I knew it would be very busy, so we waited for an hour before telling the waiter, please give me We had little food because the children were hungry. I observed that although they catered to customers according to the order of food orders, there were many complaints from customers due to the large number of takeaways, and we were really one of them. Busy restaurants should control the number of takeout orders and the number of takeout orders, and timely close and open the number of orders to ensure that the number of guests visiting the restaurant and the number of takeout orders are controlled. A business activity that really wants to make money is not suitable for us to enjoy food. The very rude attitude and words of the receptionist are very unexpected and surprising in this place. It is definitely not recommended to visit.
Food is not good quality tastes a day old. Used to be better a few years ago, everytime I go now it’s bad
Just ordered pick up for beef and broccoli, vegetable rolls, and brown rice. The first two items were good as usual but the brown rice smelled awful. The two people I was with both agreed it smelled very bad. I accidentally had one bite before realizing it was inedible. Not sure what caused it but regardless I am disappointed because I've always enjoyed my food here!
