Cashiers are dope, funny and know what they are selling! Food was amazing🙌 best burrito you can get for 6 bucks. It is crowded at times, but they get it done. Overall 10/10 would eat here
Placed an online order for catering and my driver cancelled the delivery.. thankfully one of the employees (Ashley) was kind enough to help me out by delivering it herself. HUGE lifesaver since it was for my staff and was not able to pick up myself.
In the midst of the pandemic. Here is an honest,authentic, brand name,I feel I can trust. The store is handicap accessible,it is clean and customer awareness and guest service is shown upon arrival. This restaurant was clean from the lobby,to the restroom, the associates were well kept and there was a joy of humanity was inside this place. Thank you for your hospitality..and of Course the food was delicious. Gratitude!
Always great food and terrific customer service. Yesenia and Justin were courteous and friendly. Justin brought my order on time and to my difficult location. When I discovered I was missing a pan of salad, he jumped back into his car and drove another order to me. Not only did he have the salad, he brought more dressing, tortilla strips and serving pieces. When he drove up, he had a smile on his face. Whenever I'm in Santa Ana, I always order El Pollo Loco from the Edinger store. Great job!

I stopped by during lunch rush and had great service despite the line going around the soda machine and into the dining area. I didn't have to wait long and enjoyed the best chicken, bacon & guacamole stuffed quesadilla ever! I went to visit another location because I had a craving for the same meal but unfortunately that experience and food was the worst I had.
I was on a time crunch since I only have 30 min to get lunch and I went through the drive thru and there was no wait. I was greeted by a wonderful and kind young lady named Ashley. She provided a welcoming atmosphere and it was a pleasure to have her service. She was helpful and fast paced and got me through the drive thru in under 8 min. Thank you Ashley you’re a wonderful worker!
Forgot my food at home, went through the drive through at Pollo Loco and got the original Pollo Bowl. The food was good, the service was great. The cashier (Stephanie) had a great attitude. My food was ready in no time, overall good experience!!

Any El Pollo Loco I go to, I order Tosdada salad without chicken. Since I'm paying full price I ask for extra black beans instead of chicken. I end up paying extra to get black beans after I get my order!!! Why?
The chicken is crazy as advertised muy delicioso the food is on point that's the most important thing only issue they have a problem with the hours that are listed on Google Maps and the front door versus what they honor inside the lobby not sure why but as this chain goes this one is among the finest muchas gracias🤙
If it wasn't for they need for more quality and consistency in the delivery of their orders, I would give them 5 stars. I am often missing my salsa when they asked me if I want it, my burritos are sometimes falling apart because quality control on their tortillas was compromised. This place is always busy around lunch time reflecting the popularity of this spot and their food is good.
Use the app and get your food before anyone else does. Go before noon because the line gets long... unless you use the app. Double protein chicken salad is the best. Tables are often not wiped down.
Best fast food around my area to get quality grilled chicken at a good price where we can get 10 pieces for $10.99. The only downside is that this place is slammed during lunch time and usually takes about 20 minutes of waiting at the drive-thru
Pollo loco is one of my favorite restaurants when a bite is needed. So this one always delivers the right combination every time.
This a convenient option, reliable quality, you get what you paid for… Is next to a Home Depot and the place is well kept… the bathrooms could use a little bit cleaning but is not the wort I’ve seen. I really appreciate the staff being very polite and friendly even though is busy. There is not many tables, probably like 10 or 15, two tables outside, is more a to go place. Good for a quick bite when working.
Though this was many years ago a standard stop for me, based on the experience with this location it appears the quality has dropped dramatically. The staff was very helpful and friendly, but my issue is with the food. The chicken portions and the sides are disappointingly smaller now, and the chicken though tasty was overcooked. What was once a go-to is now just ok in a pinch and average overall.
I really like the food, but this particular store is always running out of chicken and has long waiting times when they run out (1-2 hrs). Aside from that, the place is nice and cozy with good customer service and fast drive-thru.
Although I go often because it is close to work, I wish the workers knew the difference between avocado sauce and creamy cilantro. 99% of the time I receive the incorrect sauce. Check your order before leaving is A MUST.
Food is good but service needs help. Chicken bowl should be renamed “Beans and rice bowl” as there is some chicken but so little that it’s almost garnishment.

Dined in and ordered a family meal. When they called our number, we took the meal back to the table and realized we didn’t get our drinks. My mom went up to the counter with her receipt to ask for our drinks and the worker said he would give us our drinks when they give us our food. My mom told him we got our food already but the guy just walked away. My mom stood there and waited and told another worker we needed our drinks, and felt ignored again. I finally walked up and asked my mom, what is going on? Why is it so hard to get our drinks from them? I stood there with her and the worker walked up and finally gave her our drinks. Then, when we sat down, we realized they didn’t give us plates or forks or napkins. We had to walk back up to the counter to ask for them. Once we sat, we realized we also got no salsa. Walked back up to counter to ask for salsa and my husband was told that next time when we’re placing our order on the screen (it’s self order there), we need to order it there so we can get charged. The place has been remodeled, but you have to ask for everything. You can no longer get your own napkins or salsa, it was like pulling teeth trying to get our drinks. I don’t think I’ll come back to this location. Maybe you’ll have better luck ordering through the drive thru. But dining inside was horrible. I could hear the man next to us complaining about all of the same things.

This pollo loco on edinger in particular. Every time I stop here for dinner. It seems they turn off grills way earlier than scheduled by 8pm they r running low on chicken and always refuse to sell me all white on a 4pc meal. Saying it's not allowed by company.
I was missing item in my order. When I got back they gave me extra chicken. The chicken is very good, the negative is the service, that's why I give 2 stars

The employees are findly. The food was greasy. The dining are could of been more cleaner. The sauce was not stocked. The food didn't taste good. I left filling very sick. Will not go back to this place ever again.

I purchase from at least once a week from this location since it's on my way. I always use the drive thru. About 8 times out of every 10 times they do not include fork or spoon even when I order a salad or a soup respectively. The customer service tends to be friendly for the most part but generally playing around. So far, on only 1 occasion they gave me red sauce when I had asked for avocado sauce and a few times they have forgotten about the sauce altogether.
I ordered tacos from here and gave more onion inside the taco rather than the actual chicken
Was I visiting El Pollo Loco? Charbroiled chicken right off the grill?.....like last time i had it? It's been a few years but NO this isn't the same hot 🔥 off the grill chicken 🐔 like before. Where you see the whole grill filled with chicken the cook is cooking for everyone. I got 2 leg and thigh combo with rice and beans. When my number was up 😞 I took the tray and sat down cuz I was starving and on a lunch break. Look down at my food and it looked so 😢 sad...and STEAMING 🥵....RIGHT OUT THE MICROWAVE. NOTHING GRILLED A OUT IT. JUST HORMONE PUMPED CHICKEN RIGHT OUT THE MICRO!!! PORTION OF BEANS WAS MORE LIKE LETS GIVE HER 15 PIECES OF BEANS 🫘 AND NOTHING MORE. Took a bite and it tasted just the way it looked 🤢. REFUND PLEASE. BAG OF CHEEZ ITS RIGHT OUT THE VENDING MACHINE WILL DO!
EL Pollo L oco has a new system of ordering and it sucks...I should have done the drive through it would have been quicker...I walked in..it took 15 minutes to get a $2.60 quesadilla..the machine wouldn't work and you have to add salsa to your order which I did not see on the screen.When it was ready I picked it up there was no salsa and the person who handed me the quesadilla said you didn't order it. I am hating on this new automation.Its the Spanish Ikea food court
Went there at 8 pm today, wanted 8 pc meal plus soups. They said NO chicken. So how come a chicken Selling place couldn't have POLLO!

For a chicken place that's supposed to have, you know....chicken, they didn't have any ready to serve. Not a problem. I asked what the lead time was for the specific cuts of chicken I wanted. I was told 45 minutes. Needless to say, I went to another store.
Always seem to get something wrong on my orders. 3 times not a charm. All 3 times I order double 🐔 tostada salads and all 3 times they've been incomplete or wrong. Not double 🐔, wrong type of dressing or stale crust. I tried. I really tried. 👎

I ordered a classic chicken tostada and they forgot to include the dressing and a fork. My family ordered the 8pc chicken meal and they had specifically asked to not include chick breast and they still added them. On top of that, the chicken was burnt and the tortillas were cold. They had beans and rice and it didn't occur to the staff that we would need utensils. The drive-thru was not busy and neither was inside of the restaurant so I don't understand why they couldn't check to see if everything was in the bag. Unfortunately, we didn't realize until we got on the freeway. This isn't the first time they've messed up my order. They often forget to give me what I asked for or utensils.
Horrible mismanaged place. Manager is super rude , the drive through employees have horrible communication and the manager is useless in solving anything or making a resolution. Manager is a very angry depressed person inside and takes her frustration out on customers rather than trying to better her life and career. It’s very sad

Ordered a family meal, the chicken was so dry it was almost like eating chicarrones, the store did have any plates or napkins and the stuff was just playing around. The store failed to give me a receipt for my order… Instead of feeding my family we had to go somewhere else to have dinner.
Terrible. The customer service was terrible! They forgot some of our things that we ordered, they didn't give us plates, forks, napkins when we asked for it (there was no line at all) . The tables outside were really dirty, and the food was cold.
This is the 3rd time I buy the avocado chicken salad, every time I get this salad avocado is either hard and or back in bad condition. Avocado is easy to tell when is in bad condition not worth your $11 for lettuce and chicken

Our order was placed online and confirmation was given to us that the order will be ready for pick up by 7:20. Got to the restaurant at 7:30 and the order was not even prepared yet, not the mention the manager and a staff were smoking outside the restaurant. It wasn't until 7:59pm when the order were finally prepared. Horrible experience. Corporate needs to check up on these staffs.

horrible portions for double chicken tostada. one star because lady wanted to argue that it comes like that. the chicken was almost dry, i got a bunch of lettuce and more rice than i can think of. i barely got any pinto beans. i did not complain at all. but i wont be coming to this place. no thanks.
I purchased the double chicken tostada salad and it was horrible! There was barely any chicken on the salad and the little chicken that was there was burnt and made the salad taste burned as well. The blonde mexican lady(Leslie) at the drive thru window was rude and seemed like she didn't like her job and was bothered that I asked for extra dressing, mind you, that she charged me for...which is fine she charged me but just the attitude was horrible. I tried calling the location to let them know about my food so maybe they could make it right and to inform them i never received my receipt for the food, only received my receipt for my extra dressing(I was only on a 30 minute lunch) and the phone just rang, no one ever pickedup. I gave up and threw my food away as it ruined my lunch. 😤Never going back there again!!!
The chicken was so hard I didn't even eat it, the corn was brown, the soda tasted like sparkling water & customer service was basic. The only thing good was the green sauce. I'm done with El Pollo loco smh they shouldn't even be in business selling stuff like this.

Closest fast food to my office but I rarely go because service is so slow. Went today and waited over 15 minutes. I noticed my chips and salsa were missing when I handed my food but didn't decided to leave without them because I didn't want to wait any longer.
Usually been good but the past few times I've been to this locating, they've been very skimpy. Today my wife and I got double chicken tostadas. There was barely any rice or beans in it, not even close to being filled to the top, and the dressings were not even filled half way. IDK if they changed management or what but not coming back to this location.
Ridiculous change your drive thru hours. It was 9:00 am when I drove to the drive thru because that is the time is says on Google so I was waiting to order and no one was at the drive thru so still waiting for another 10 minutes no one was helping me. So then I called the store 3 times no one answered. So I called again and someone picked up the phone and just hung up on me. So ridiculous... so I was late to work. So please change your time or have people who really wants to work and be on time.
The manager Teo Torres is very disrespectful. He does not know how to manage customer service when there’s a line inside the restaurant and in the drive thru. He talks very condescending and once he knows you’re going to complain he ignores you like a little child and stops responding. Like ignoring the problem will make it go away. Normally I enjoy dinning at el polo loco but this location Needs work my cashier at thr drive though window didn’t hv my order correct or my drinks😤 I.believe her name was pala. Regarding my meal The el polo bowl was good great it had great portions of chicken But i received tortillas that were Under cooked?☹️ the out side was hard and middle was over done😕 I didn’t recive utensils to eat with ? Then I had to ask for salsas ? And nor did I receive my reciept for rewards ? The restrooms were out of soap that made question 🤔 how do you expect the employees to properly sanitize before returning to work stations 🤨if they use the restroom 😳😳😳 there was trash all over the floor In the restroom 🤭😱😕 . Saddly I will not return this location.

Very dissapointing, when we approached the Drive Thru the rude cashier on the speaker told us that they had no chicken. I was like what do they sell then. I was not angry about the fact that they had no chicken (6:30 pm), but the attitude of the cashier was very dissapointing.
I ordered online for in-store pickup and the restaurant lobby was locked, only the drive thru was open. This was at 11:30am lunch time. I only get a 30 minute lunch so I couldn’t wait in the long drive thru line. Why was the lobby closed? If it’s closed, ordering online shouldn’t be an option. I want a refund.
My husband and I got a tostada salad on January 14 around 1pm. I started feeling stomach pain it started getting worse and worse then later my husband started felling pain and nauseous, we both were puking till midnight we felt horrible. He also got diarrhea. We still feel stomach pain today morning. We have been eating pollo loco since we were kids this chance our experience I personally will never eat pollo loco again. Did any one else get stomach sick on January 14? Don’t trust pollo loco
This is the worst place they always forget items there service is the worst!!! The only reason that I go here is because it’s near my house, but I guess I’m gonna start driving the extra mile since I always have to come back for the items that they’re missing. It’s already ridiculous and inconvenient don’t go here go to a different location..
People here are rude, every single time I come here, I ended up with unpleasant experience because of the bad service. People here are inpatient and not trying to help! They gave attitude. One time I ordered salads on drive through, they didn’t give me forks and no napkins, and they even didn’t bother to ask if I needed it. When I came back to ask and they showed the California law and gave me attitude, yes you don’t have to give forks and napkins, but come on you’re a restaurant, supposedly you want to make your clients happy and enjoy your foods and service, so they want I come back again, but they make zero efforts on that! Avoid this location!
I bought a meal at 12:45 it is the worst meat that I have ever got, looked like Mexican chicharones, cooked one or several days before. I do not recommend this place.

I went to the drive-thru on February 26th at 7:30 p.m., the woman who answered said to let her know when I was ready. I told her I was ready and a man answered and said to give them a minute. I think I gave him 5 to 10 minutes because he never came back? I just left and I took my money to Taco Nazo, McFadden very delicious!

The food at this location is always cold. ALWAYS. One of the new 14 dollar items (crunch cheese something) didnt even come with the main ingredient (the chip strips/crunch). Zero attention to detail or effort on the food they serve. Avoid this location.
I did not have a good experience, after I ordered my food I ask the staff for the code for the restroom he said do you have a receipt that it was on the receipt which was not true no code on any of the receipt, I was waiting for my food I was number 85 they skipped over me was at 88 o asked what happened to my order it was just sitting on the shelf no one called my number just poor service Im very disappointed
Me and my boyfriend went to this pollo loco and the we forgot to put what sauce we wanted on the order and when we went to get our order we told them we wanted hot sauce when he proceeded to get mad at us that we should’ve put it on our order but we forgot to do but he acted if it was to much of a deal to reach over and get and this has happened various times where we forget to put it on the order and various times he gets mad about it
They went completely kiosk inside. They will not take your orders at all. You must order yourself on the kiosk. It was very hard for some people.

Outside of the chicken being extra citrusy, I have a complaint that the female workers during (4/18/2025) night shift. And were pulling an “act”, “playing victim” that I was going to cause “harm” to them due to their lack of enthusiasm. And was skipping me while letting other customers order ahead of me. And was cursing at me in Spanish in an aggressive manner and see it as a form of of discrimination due to me being an English speaking individual first and I shouldn’t the treated in such manner because I’m a consumer. If you want to see proof of incident check surveillance between 9-9:30 pm.
I ordered three tacos El carbon what I got was three chicken sushi tacos she's never had one don't you'll get food poisoning like I did what it is it's when they take chicken and they don't cook it all the way through and then they barely cut it up and shove it on top of a tortilla and call that a taco the lady behind the counter almost threw up when I picked up the piece of chicken that was my entire taco to my surprise she was very nice about making me three new tacos no problem I even asked for those ones to be well done because of what it just happened and she accommodated very nice woman unfortunately I decided to go back a couple days later and wouldn't you know it I inspect my food and find a piece of raw chicken immediately should I go back in and again and I'm hoping to be met with the same service. But no unfortunately today they've got I'm assuming it was Julio cuz that's the name of my receipt but I'm not sure what the guy's name was well I had shown my tacos to one lady for some reason Julio decides to come over and tell me that the chicken is not raw they check it to 165 before taking every piece off so there's no way it could be raw I'm sure the most of that chicken wasn't but you only need one raw piece to get f****** food poisoning something I don't think he was too worried about since he look like he was withdrawing from meth and heroin at the same time just had junkie written across his forehead anyway since he's decided to argue that there's no possible way that they can make a mistake cuz you know restaurants never do that I decided to take a refund it sucks for me because this place is on my way home and was one of my favorite spots but apparently it's only worth going to late at night on Tuesdays or whenever the hell I was there last time cuz with guys like this in there especially if he's in charge I can't see them lasting much longer.I mean really we're talking about three street tacos how hard is it to just make me a new batch apologize even if I'm wrong apologize so I leave you happy and I'm not on this app talking s*** about your terrible service hoping that no one else will have to go through it. It is so sad that they would sell raw chicken I had gotten off of work and I thought let's go to el pollo loco when down there waited about 20 mins in the drive thru but unfortunately once I got home the new chicken burger I had boughten was pink and raw on the inside didn't know that's what chicken was supposed to look like cooked. That's a health hazard and disgusting.
