Second time here and it’s been great both times. The staff are incredibly friendly and the food is delicious. They also have great vegan options, which is a huge plus!
such wonderful staff and experience would definitely recommend loved the food so much everyone was so kind and attentive we had the potato crunch at the restaurant then did take out for our pizza such delicious cota street!
This was my first time trying deep dish pizza and it was an amazing experience. The pizza had so much flavor and stuffed very well. We will be back next time!
Hosted a last minute welcome dinner for our wedding and they were able to accommodate a large group. The staff and owner went above and beyond. Food was great and came out fairly quickly!
Best pizza I've had in years!! I had the Anacapa pizza. Ingredients were so fresh!! Wish Santa Barbara wasn't so far away!
I've finally found my go-to pizza spot in Santa Barbara: the Santa Barbara Pizza House! Perfectly located on State Street, it's ideal for enjoying downtown vibes with friends and family in a modern and clean setting that feels quite #VIP. As a pizza lover, I was thoroughly impressed with the quality, options, and service! Our large group (10+!) sampled everything from their superb deep-dish pizza to succulent buffalo wings, with options available for vegetarians and those with gluten allergies. My top picks are the State St. and Hollister Ave pizzas. Highly recommend to locals and visitors alike! The deep dish is hearty, but in good company, no challenge is too great! #aintnomountainhighenohgh #evenapizzamountain Looking forward to my next visit - I shall be taking my younger siblings who are visiting!!

This was our first time getting take out, but not our first visit. We ordered a deep dish pie and were mistakenly given one with meat and we don’t eat meat, I called the restaurant and they offered to fix it right away and would allow us to come get a new one tomorrow night (we live about ~20 minutes away so wasn’t convenient to have a new one delivered). Wonderful service and delicious pie, we just had to get creative while taking the meat off. Will absolutely be retiring and highly recommend.
Really enjoyed their deep dish pizza. They have vegan cheese so I chose to make my deep dish custom. They were very flexible and accommodating. My girlfriend got the thin crust. She loved it. The service was friendly and the pizza very good.
A very friendly, spacious, and cozy place, with comfy seats everywhere and a whole window front facing out to the promenade. They know how to make pizzas with a perfect crust which we had along with yummy, tender chicken wings and thighs!
The BEST pizza, great atmosphere, even decent parking! Some of us came to try, what we heard, was the best pizza in town. Some of us came for the vegan challenge. All of us wondered how we’d not come sooner. Everyone likes different pizza but this was the only one I’ve had where I not only didn’t leave the crust, but I relished it. Also terrific pasta and salads. I don’t have a photo of the food since we all ate it so Great vibe early evening; yes State Street can be funky in the best and worst of ways but this particular area, nestled between good establishments and music, embodied great vibrancy and yet was peaceful enough to relax and enjoy our outside table. We parked in city lot across the street and walked though the promenade. But we were told there is also parking right behind the restaurant and an entrance through the back door. We hope they keep their newest pizza; with grilled eggplant and arugula w a great “dressing”. Perfection!
Amazing delicious pizza! Absolutely LOVED every bite! They were able to accommodate my boyfriend who is vegan, which is very helpful as not a lot of places that we could eat at. Great service. My dog also gave a two paws up! ❤️🐶❤️
Great pizza and salads. Very attentive server (Gaby)! Owner (Erin) is on premises to oversee operations and make sure customers are happy with the food and service. Please give them a try. With so many local restaurants closing, one after another, I really hope this one is around for a long, long time. I look forward to a regular repeat of my previous excellent experience!
We love getting their deep dish pizza for take-out! Whenever we call it in it's always on time and delicious. Parking in the back for easy pickup. Custom toppings are available for the large size deep dish.
We truly enjoyed our evening at the Santa Barbara Pizza House. The pizza was great! We had both gluten free and regular crust and they were both delicious. Enjoyed talking with the owner who was delightful!!

We spent the weekend up in Santa Barbara in an AirBnB. Santa Barbara is Beautiful and we love it up here. We went over to Santa Barbara Pizza House for the first time. This place is awsome. Great location, great staff but the pizza !! Honestly the pizza I’ve ever had. Thick crust with lots of sauce and toppings. Cooked perfectly. We were stuffed when we left but we ordered one to go because it was so good. Very cool place with great food.
I wanted to try another pizza joint before leaving on our vacation. So we tried Pizza House which was close to our hotel. The service was great, the pizza was good but expensive for a 10” pie ($21) We also got a small salad. With tip and tax it was around $40. The flavor was good, and the toppings were miniscule. The service was excellent but would I go back? Maybe to try another dish, but not for the pizza.
My partner & I split a large gluten-free thin- pizza (not available for deep dish). So thrilled that the crust tasted like real pizza dough, nice and crispy. I had vegan cheese on my half, and it melted beautifully just like real cheese.

I came on Christmas and it was open which was great since not a lot of places are open; however, it was my first time coming and I really wanted my husband and I to try their deep dish pizza. Unfortunately we were told (when we're ordering) that it was not available on this day. Ummm, I'm sorry but I didn't think I had to ask if this was being served today. I just thought "Cool, they're open! Can't wait to go check it out." I guess I assumed that if something (so popular) on their menu wasn't going to be served that it would be noted on the menu or even when I called ahead to check that it was open. A simple "oh hey, yeah we're open today, but we are currently out of deep dish pizza" that way I wouldn't have driven in the rain for almost 1 hour. The employees are friendly and I'm sure it would've been a great experience on another day. I want to come back, but I'll call next time and ASK if they are selling their deep dish pizza or not!

Staff was incredibly friendly. The atmosphere was unique but it was the food that was the issue. We tried the „garlic cheesy bread“ and the pizza. Firstly I couldn’t pick up and hints of garlic or cheese on the bread-although it visually did look present. The pizza was mediocre at best. The pizza (the APS) had a very generous amount of toppings but unfortunately it overall didn’t taste great. The pizza was overall generally bland and I certainly wouldn’t label it as Neapolitan. Price was also high for the quality being on par with Domino‘s.

Was empty should have taken it as a sign absolute trash food and service was crappy we went there at first server was nice but when food came out order was completely wrong instead of 14in pizza we got a 10 we asked for a plain fettuccine with pesto nothing else came with chicken and the people eating it were vegetarian and the tip of the iceberg was that when we asked them to change the order they said they’ll change the pizza but we’ll pay for two and the chicken they told us to pick it out of the pasta we ate meatballs, garlic bread and salad and we decided to leave and we said that we will pay for those things that we ate they started arguing back we ended up paying for everything and not receiving half of the stuff absolutely horrible service and way to serve people don’t come here even if it is the last option
Sat at the bar & ordered a pizza 25 minutes before anyone else sat at the bar and the new people that just showed up, ordered & got their pizza 30 minutes before us... then they didn't feel bad and charged full price even after manager said she would give a discount. Couple locals said I was better going to Rustys pizza. Came from LA so the poor service kinda ruined the night & vibe. I will probably go anywhere else but here next time I come back to Santa Barbara .
If I could give this place zero stars, I absolutely would. Our visit to Santa Barbara was supposed to be a relaxing day of good food and good vibes, but this restaurant completely ruined that. We ended up with one of the worst servers I’ve ever encountered. While every other server around us seemed friendly, attentive, and genuinely happy to help their tables, ours acted like we were an inconvenience from the moment we sat down. She never checked on us, ignored us repeatedly, and we actually had to rely on another server—who was wonderful, by the way—to get basic assistance. The attitude from our server was nonstop from start to finish, and the way she looked at my baby, who simply smiled at her, was honestly shocking and completely unprofessional. I would never recommend being seated with that server, and this experience alone is enough to make me not want to return at all.
