Opinions de Barebottle Brewing Company Santa Clara
Wide-ranging selection of delicious beer, and fantastic Detroit-style pizzas! As a New Yorker, I was hesitant to try Detroit style, but their pesto pizza blew me away - crisp edges, soft crust, fluffy cheese, and the little peppers really take it to the next level. Also great ambience and friendly, knowledgeable beertenders. I will be coming back!
Amazing vibe, great space, sit wherever. You must try their non-alcoholic koba kola drink - perfect balance of ginger, hibiscus and lime. There are some games that you can get from the shelf, we tried Sorry and it was fun (ludo with twists). Their pizza box was interesting too. Will definitely go back at several occasions.
Very good beer selection. Reasonable bites that goes with beer. Very good spot for socializing with coworkers and friends. You can bring your own food or order in. Definitely recommend to beer lovers in the Santa Clara, San Jose, Mountain View, Sunnyvale, Palo Alto area.
Surprisingly large and airy space. If you like IPAs, this is the place to go. Their menu was mostly IPAs when I visited. I'm not an IPA fan, but I ordered the Italian Campione which is an Italian pilsner made with three different types of hops. It was crisp and cool and fantastic. I also ordered a glass of Barbara Italian wine. I can tell the vines were young and the wine was young as well. Little age. But it is a brewery and not a vineyard. People are nice, even the patrons.
I liked this tap room, it actually looked pretty quiet from the street but was fairly busy once inside. It had a pretty modern vibe. There website is also pretty slick which I had checked out before visiting. There are many different areas to sit at, bench tables, high tables, sofa etc. The line to get beer was actually pretty long when I visited on a Friday night around 9pm or so. Flights were $25+ and there was a pretty impressive beer list. I did like the beers I tried, well brewed. Staff I interacted with were nice. Would recommend.
I love this place! They have fun trivia during the week, great beers and currently they have Detroit style pizza that’s so good. Go early to get a good spot.
Can’t say enough about Barebottle! Such an amazing company! I first got introduced to them as a contractor, servicing their appliances and refrigeration systems (hello from Skyrocket!). Then I tried their beers — and instantly fell in love. They’re incredible as a team, as a brewery, and as a restaurant. Hands down, the best beers I’ve ever had. (Not even sure I liked beer before this!)
Great vibe with tables on one side to chat with your folks, a bar area to sit and work, and an area with old school arcade games and a pool table. There’s also a cozy seating area with couches and a coffee table. Great beer that rotates and the bartenders are extremely knowledgeable and descriptive about their stock of beers (shoutout to Matthew!). Would definitely recommend checking out this spot, great to socialize with a big or small group, to get work done, and to play some OG games! Really enjoyed my experience here!
Favorites: Hazy IPA and Beef & Mushroom empanada. The best tap room in the area. Their beer selection is awesome. Hazy IPA and everything else, even non alcoholic drinks.
This is a very good brewery! We stopped in for a flight and it was one of the best flights we've had. We liked not just the snifter pours and aluminum base but the beers were great. They had a lot on tap and while it seems IPA's are their forte they also had good beers in other styles. A deep beer list with a lot of quality. The location was very nice. It is a big space. As a brewery highly recommended for the beer. Great location and space too. We wished we had time for more than just a flight!
after a long day of doing a bunch of stuff around the city we decided to stop by here for some libations. This is not your typical watering hole. The employees at this location are really friendly, cordial, respectful and super nice. They have lots of games to choose from so when you go you won't be bored, a few pinball machines, the pool table, nice couches and great large space for many friends. Would recommend for a future visit. They also let you bring outside food into the brewery which is very nice but the Empanadas are really yummy
Super relaxed brewery located in a great area of Santa Clara serving a large variety of craft beers and snacks. Plenty of seating, fast service, dog friendly, and work friendly! Come in here for a random beer and bring in your laptop or just a paper to read! It gives off a great vibe for those looking to have a good couple of beers solo or with friends! Highly recommend the beer selections here and the staff is knowledgeable. There is plenty of parking but be prepared to walk about 3-5 minutes from the lots, since this is shared with places like Whole Foods!
Probably my favorite breweries for their Hazys! I tried Barebottle out at a taproom, and fell in love with the hazy there. Unfortunately, I don't think they carry that one anymore. Swung by this location once I found out there was a Barebottle close to me! This is a nice spot with quite a bit of indoor seating and some fun games. We got: -Very Best Bad Things Hazy DIPA - 8.4%ABV $9 for a full pour -El Dorado Bravo Hazy IPA -6.4% $9 for a full pour Beers are a bit on the pricier end, but their Hazys are super good! Hope to try their SF spot soon. Plaza parking or you can park in the garage across the street. Hoping my basketball high score is still up there next time I go :D
This was a great taproom with lots of seating, wonderful tap selection, delicious empanadas, and a good vibe. Large, clean space with huge windows for plenty of natural light, good selection of music playing, and kid/dog friendly--handful of families here when I visited and they did have a few nonalcoholic options on tap as well. I got the chicken empanadas, they were an excellent addition to go along with my beer flight. I really enjoyed the key lime sour as it wasn't too sweet and the nitro raspberry stout was phenomenal. The bartenders were great too, they were friendly, quick to serve, and happy to give recommendations.

Barebottle Brewing is a true treasure for craft beer enthusiasts! Their selection is nothing short of impressive, featuring rotating taps with bold, inventive flavors that keep every visit exciting. I sampled the Hazy IPA and a seasonal sour; both were phenomenal: fresh, balanced, and full of character. You can tell they put serious thought and passion into their brewing process. The vibe is lively and welcoming, with plenty of space to relax with friends or enjoy a laid-back afternoon. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always eager to suggest something new. Extra points for the fun events and food trucks that turn each visit into a mini celebration. Pricing is fair for the quality, and the atmosphere is perfect for anyone who loves great beer and good company. If you’re in Santa Clara and looking for an exceptional craft beer experience, Barebottle Brewing is a must-visit!
I have been coming here for 3 year now. It's run by great people who care. Every single Bartender cares about this place and you can tell. The vibe is great and relaxing. An absolutely hidden gem in the Bay Area. In Silicon Valley, this place feels full of the Bay's essence and attitude. I was born and raised in the East Bay, and this place reminds me of it.

If you're looking for a great spot to spend quality time with friends, loved ones, or colleagues, look no further! This venue is spacious, clean, and unpretentious, with friendly staff to boot. While I'm not much of a beer drinker, my friend raved about the delicious selection of available beers. If you need help deciding which beer to try, you can request a sample before making your final decision. While the food selection leans more towards appetizers than full meals, the empanadas and pretzels are delicious. If you're a fan of mushrooms, I highly recommend trying their mushroom empanada. Alternatively, you're also welcome to bring your own food. Overall, this is an excellent place to catch up with friends and enjoy some good food and drinks in a comfortable setting.
BB Brewing delivers craft beer that’s so good, it could turn a teetotaler into a hophead. I particularly enjoyed the flights—each beer was a delightful journey for the taste buds. The key lime pie beer was like sipping on a Florida vacation, minus the sunburn. The atmosphere was perfect for chilling out and pretending you don’t have responsibilities waiting at home. However, here’s a pro tip: avoid sitting next to the bathroom. While the beer was fruity, the air had a certain… earthy undertone. Let’s just say it added a unique complexity to the experience, but not in the way I wanted. All in all, it is worth the visit—just pick your seat wisely and maybe bring a scented candle, just in case. Cheers!

Great atmosphere and chill vibe - seems like a very “young professionals” vibe. The beer itself was a bit underwhelming. They do well with hazy IPA’s and hoppy pilsners, but every other style was not particularly impressive to me. They had a lager on draft - Audalicious - that was sour…I don’t know if it was an intended sourness or not. The beer descriptions are lacking so who knows? I also am not a fan of their flight setup. 5 pours of 5oz each for $25 - that’s basically $1 an ounce and that’s way too much for beer. Plus the flight holders were not very steady and my giant glasses wobbled around when I picked it up. It would be nice if they had glassware actually designed for flights - instead, the beertender is just eyeballing 5oz and I have to trust him. If I’m in the area again, I may give them another chance but I definitely won’t ever get a flight again

The staff needs training on soft skills. They go the pizza order wrong. Everyone makes mistakes but making snarky comments instead of being apologetic is completely uncalled for. Waiting total 40 mins for an overpriced 8”x 8” so called large pizza ($5 per tiny slice) with a snarky comment was not worth it. Just go next door to get the pizza instead.
Good beer. Certain employee can be really curt and rude, especially to tourists. Not sure if this was some vested vetting, with lots of snarky and unnecessary comments. Two weeks ago, I was given a beer with a smile from the same place. Please be consistent with your policies regarding who you serve alcohol to and ensure the rules are applied uniformly. I understand and abide by the rules of the place, but people giving out the beer need to be nicer. Tourists visiting here, please carry your physical passport copy if you need to be served a beer without snarky comments.
