It was a chill Tuesday afternoon and my partner and I were looking for a nice simple lunch. I was originally feeling some kbbq but just wanted to order one meat and eat it with banchan, however this place had a minimum of 2 meats per table for bbq. Because of this, we had to pivot and look at their lunch menu instead. We ordered the lunch special LA Galbi and Mul Naengmyeon as well as the Seafood and Beef Soft Tofu Stew. The Galbi was great, the noodles were refreshing and really thin, and the tofu stew was rich and warming. Though, these items were not the highlight of the meal. The banchan and the service were the absolute best. They had one dish that was essentially a version of macaroni salad, but it wasn’t macaroni. I have no idea what it is, but that was the best version of macaroni salad I’ve had. They also had this super delicious seaweed and radish banchan. It was like umami encapsulated in one bite. I even asked for the name of the dish, but now trying to search it up I feel completely lost. Beyond the banchan, the service was also great as we were the last people in the restaurant. They were just chilling waiting for us but as the server saw us get low on banchan she would immediately refill it for us. One day I must go back to try the bbq cooked on the wood coals, but for now what we had was perfect. Update: tried the bbq and it was fire. We got the wagyu ribeye which is huge as well as the Kalbi which were both really good quality and cooked perfectly. However also learned that their banchan rotates regularly depending on what ingredients are available.
Great place for authentic Korean BBQ. The service is efficient and polite. And they use wood instead of gas. Highly recommend!
One of my favorite KBBQ spots in the Bay Area since they have the charcoal grill. We got the bulgogi and kalbi (both were delicious). The minimum order is 2 meats for the BBQ, so it can get pricey since the cost is about $70 each. The parking lot can get crowded during dinner time, so be prepared to wait or park across the street in the residential area.
One of the yummiest KBBQ I’ve ever tried in the Bay Area! And it’s charcoal grilled! The restaurant is conveniently located in the same strip mall as Tobang and Boba Pup. Plenty of parkings! We arrived around 5pm on a Saturday and there was no line. The staff greeted us upon entrance and led us to our table. The inside looked neat and clean with shiny and spacious metal tables. We were recommended by our server to pick 2 meats (minimum). We have our eyes on the specially priced Wagyu thus we ordered that one, plus Galbi and seafood pancake. Our side dishes came out first with refreshing salad (with soft tofu) and various types of regular Korean side dishes. We especially enjoyed the red bean side dish! It’s savory, salty and just simply delicious! One of the side dishes was a tofu soup in a stone bowl. Our meat came out raw and our server grilled and cut them into smaller pieces right there on top of the charcoal stove for us! I love the sizzling sounds of fat droplets hitting the burning charcoal! The meat smelled heavenly and we all drooled waiting for the meats 🤤! It’s a bit pricey but we understand why it’s pricey now! The meat quality is so top notch! We savored every bite and enjoyed our dinner so much! The seafood pancake didn’t disappoint either! It was flavorful and fresh with generous amount of seafood. Our server was attentive and refilled our water and side dishes without us asking, which is a plus for me! Overall, 12/10! Check it out!
Tired Wagyu and Samgyulsal (pork belly) the wood fire grill. It was so good. The server grilled for us everything and he grilled it so skillfully and perfectly. Kimchi Jigae was good as well. Recommending for bbq experience.
Star of the meal was the pan fried seafood pancake with green onions. It was loaded with shrimp, squid, bell peppers and a light soy sauce for dipping. Cold noodles were light and refreshing. Broth was a bit sweet but added a little vinegar for balance. Glass potato starch noodles were chewy and thin. Very generous with the side dishes when we asked for refills. Only 4 side dishes but they were all fresh and delicious. Service was friendly and prompt. 2 gender restrooms.
This place is amazing! I think about it often when I'm not in the Bay and I'm hungry. The meat is just so delicious and cooked to perfection. There's a lot of tasty sides, good beer, and great service. It feels very local and has a great vibe. If you're in the area, it's worth a visit. We always come up from San Jose for dinner!
Ever since we visited S. Korea last year, we've grown to appreciate charcoal grilled Kbbq. We used to come here just for their regular menu with soup but recently, we've been going for the kbbq. This is a kbbq restaurant where they cook the meat for you and the quality of the meat is going to be a premium compared to an ayce. I called in to make reservations for 3 people on a Saturday night and we were seated promptly. For the meat, B1 such bul kalbi, is the one to get. This is the marinated rolled short rib that we loved when Palace used to be open for kbbq. They also take the meat and tendon off the bone to cook and bring it back on the grill for you. High recommend getting this cut. We've tried their special US wagyu recently because of their promo. I thought it was ok cause it felt too dry from the way it was cooked. I think I would just stick to their regular meat cut off their menu. I can't get enough of their salad that they provide. Something about their salad sauce, tofu and sliced almonds makes it addicting. I could eat their salad everyday if I could. Their service is great and they're on top of cooking the meat for you. There's also a call button at the table. Parking can get tricky during certain times. If you're coming for dinner, there's more parking available if go before 6pm on a weekend.
Hidden gem in Santa Clara. One of my favorite Korean BBQ places in the South Bay. Fast and efficient service, coupled with good quality meats (beef, pork, chicken, seafood) makes it a great experience every time. Can get smokey, though, so don’t wear your favorite outfit if you don’t want the smokey smell. Parking lot can get full, but there’s free street parking as well.
Meat is great. We also really like the rare beef bibimbap. They grill the meat for you on the table which is great. Love the way they cook pork belly. Galbi and beef tongue are yummy too. I think I will come back to try out other dishes on the menu :)
Wife was craving for Korean bbq on a Saturday evening. We supposed to go to Tobang, but decided to try this new spot. The korean short ribs is one of the best we’ve ever had in bay area. Banchan’s are also tasty especially the salad with tofu. This is a great spot for drinking as well. Highly recommend this restaurant to fellow foodies. Cheers!
Delicious! The Korean barbecue here is amazing. We order B1 and B2 on their meat menu. Which are two different versions of Kalbi. Our favorite was B2 which is Kalbi marinated in sesame oil. This meat was absolutely delicious. 10 outta 10 would put this meat in my mouth again 😜 Their kalbi quality is far better than most other Korean BBQ places out there. This is not all you can eat. You order by the meat. They prepare the dishes for you and cook the meat in front of you. The nice thing about this place is that the BBQ is using wood charcoal. They have the permit for this indoors because they have been around for many decades and are grandfathered into their permit. Making it a rare experience! When you order the meats you also get a nice Korean soup, as well as the usual Korean side dishes. We got the seafood pancake also, but I would skip it next time. Docking points on atmosphere because it's very loud and roudy. Tables are ice cold. And the room was very very smoky.
Came here for lunch on the weekend after playing pickleball at the nearby courts and was surprised that the restaurant wasn’t crowded. The parking lot can get crowded, but after getting parking we were seated right away! This is one of the few restaurants that still do wood fire bbq and it was quite the experience! Each meat order came with so much food and someone was always there to help us cook and serve the meat. Everything was excellent and I will definitely be back!
If you want great quality charcoal grilled korean bbq, here is the go to place. The servers here are busy but they provide the best service; grilling, fast and providing your every need. The servers are honestly one of the best people I have met. With the short staff there is a little slow start, but worth the wait. They are always on top of provide the best. Great side dishes and amazing soup. I come here for the meat and the cold noodles !

Solid Korean bbq with the traditional banchan, sauces, kimchi, and soondubu sides. We got the galbi, Bulgolgi, and chicken. They cook it over a charcoal fire for you at your table which gives it a real smoky char flavor compared to many kbbq restaurants in area. Food, service was great but the price was expensive so probably more of a special occasion
Lunch special $14.99 A lot of choice here . Ordered spicy beef stew was delicious . Grill chicken a little bit sweet for us . Come with small side dish of course and refill available. Very clean and comfortable, parking easy .

Food was great but well overpriced. $70 for 2 pieces of short rib is absolute robbery. Don’t go if you’re short on money. Keep in mind they stand at your table the entire time while you eat. Kinda awkward. Otherwise great food. great service.
The price is too expensive for the meat quality. For the same price, you could go to 10 Butchers. The servers were nice. They cooked everything table side. There were some complimentary items. However, I think they might be a bit understaffed because our banchan and water were not refilled unless we asked. Overall, I think this place is more of a $30-$50-per-person establishment, rather than a $50-$100-per-person establishment.

Food is descent , the bbq is little on the sweet side. Korea bbq is a have service oriented meal. There's lot of work for waitress/ waiter to do but the price they charge for Korean ribs , servers get pretty good 20% tip. The problem is there's only 2 people working at lunch time so it's hard to get a good service. The people who work there trys hard but there's just not enough workers to get you food or 반찬 in time. My wife's noodles came out so late she just canceled it. Empty 반찬 dishes , late food arrival, high prices. Update. Decided to git it a try again. Same service just worse. No hello, how are you, how u like your meat cooked. None. I thought the robot was serving us. $70 per person for bbq ribs and 반찬 was minium. Not going back.

The restaurant is a rip-off. I rarely leave restaurant reviews, but this appears to be one of the bad ones. We explained that this was our first time ordering from this restaurant and that we were not sure how to proceed. They were impatient and did not explain everything to us, so we felt rushed to place our order. We opted for the wood-fired barbecue with grilled meat, but you must order at least two items. We ordered the firewood prime beef short ribs ($69.99) and the barbecue pork ($47.99). You'd expect a lot of meat for that price. We only got two thin slices of beef short ribs and two slices of seasoned barbecue pork. When I mentioned it to the server, he said it was just the way things were. If we want more meat, we can order it and pay more. For $118, all we get is four thin slices of meat, ridiculous! This is not even enough for two people. They should include it on the menu, with only two thin slices per order, so customers can see what they ordered. Aside from that, the side dish they served was quite small and not much at all. The onion and tofu salads were the only ones that were good portions. We know eating out is more expensive now, but $118 for four thin slices of meat is simply not worth it. When you want to support a small family business but get ripped off. It’s better to simply go to AYCE Korean BBQ and get your money's worth. This restaurant isn't worth your money.
I used to come to this place bi weekly. Suddenly on a non-busy Saturday for lunch, it took the staff ten minutes to seat me when there’s only 3 tables dining and 3 staff members. The ma and pa that used to work here usually sat me fast. Then the masked male employee took awhile to take our order. We rang the bell twice and after 10 minutes he finally arrived but he interrupted my first order to say “one minute” and rushed back to kitchen to bring out meats for another table and helped the cook it. I waited another 5-10minutes and left since he never came back.

Extremely disappointing experience. I joined the waitlist as instructed, but my friend and I waited in the car since it was very cold, checking back every few minutes. When I returned, our name had been crossed out, and the staff rudely told me we “should have waited outside”—something no one ever explained. After 20 minutes of waiting hungry and cold, being blamed for their poor communication felt completely unfair. I would not recommend this place unless they improve basic courtesy and clear instructions.
