****ing amazing Cioppino! I'm sending all my friends to this place from now on to try this mind blowing meal. Also ate a really really good chocolate cake which I added picture of.
Very good food and not expensive considering that this is an hotel restaurant.
While traveling through Santa Clara I normally try to stay here. They are walking distance for Levi Stadium so that in it self is pretty dang awesome! The food was served extremely promptly. It was served just as I ordered it. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was super quiet! It sounds like I got lucky with that! Either way the dinner was a huge success I had a huge TV all to my self! Huge score With next Super Bowl here in Santa Clara I would imagine this place will be an entire block party in February!!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The café at Hilton Santa Clara is an absolute delight! The pastries are simply amazing, offering a perfect blend of flavors and textures that make every bite memorable. Their drink selection is equally impressive, with fantastic options that cater to every palate. The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, making it an ideal spot for a relaxing coffee break or a quick snack. Highly recommended! ☕🍰🥐
We were in the area and we decided to eat here. Also, my coworkers recommended it too. I had the prime rib, it was so buttery soft and delicious! Also, we ordered the cioppino, fish and chips, and grilled sea bass. Everyone really enjoyed their dish. The staff was friendly and helpful. The service was quick, since we're the only customers. Tip-If there's a 49er game and you're not staying @ the hotel, you won't be allowed to park here just to dine. Don't bother giving them a made up room number, they'll confirm the name matches the room number. Fortunately we reserved a room during a game. They will suggest to park elsewhere. Bring cash for parking, there is several parking areas but it's expensive. I've seen prices up to $40 for parking.
We had dinner and drinks. The server was great, and the bartender was awesome. The food here was amazing.
Outstanding services, elegant ambient, and great Mediterranean cuisine. The dining experience here is truely exceptional. The wait staff is attentative but not intrusive and make you feel like pampered. They appear be able to read your mind and would show up right there at the exact moment when you start to feel like needing them.
Good service and food, but nothing exceptional. The atmosphere is good, for a hotel restaurant, but nothing special. Portions are way too big for a European.
In and Out has a very simple menu with few deviations, and the few items they serve are very good. More fast food places should stick to this formula instead of introducing "The Chez Pierre" burger or "The Poncho Villa Special". In and Out sticks with what works.
Superb steak house, excellent sides and great knowledgeable staff. Couple that with some good red wine and bingo a great steak night. Lovely interior and ambience worthy of a mention, great for a special occasion, or couples night out.
ou really should check this place out. I found it on yelp this morning I was near where I was traveling this morning in Phoenix so I popped in. The chips, the hot chips, and salsa, three different salsas, are a great start. I had the omelet which is eggs stuffed with in house chorizo, Mexican cheese with a side beans and papas. This is truly the breakfast of champions. I also decided to try to posole. Chick full of pork and hominy in a delicious deep red broth. All in all I'm quite happy. You will be too!
This is an upscale hotel bar that I visited while staying here. They have a good burger and a good selection of drinks available. Their beer menu is not as extensive as possible but reasonable given that it's a hotel bar. The place is a bit pricey but there's not really anywhere else better in walking distance.
The restaurant served breakfast. On Friday, can order off menu for breakfast. I had the Eggs Benedict. It was excellent. The presentation was perfect. The next 2 days, could only get the buffet, which is like most buffets, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, etc..). I never get my moneys worth on buffets. We ate dinner. I had the seafood pasta. It was great. There was salmon, oysters, and shrimp in pasta with a butter sauce. It had just the perfect amount of noodles.
Stayed at the Hilton and the staff were the bomb. Helpful, nice and overall professional. La Fontana is the restaurant bar there. We found the menu was very limited for being in such a nice Hilton. The drinks while good, we're pretty pricey. Overall We loved our stay.
“Atmosphere ” This place has great staff, Everyone treats you like you are definitely a guest of theirs. The food is amazing if you know how to build your recipe. I have been going here since they have opened, even though Ownership has exchange hands, the atmosphere is the same.
Very nice restaurant in the Santa Clara Hilton. I had the Roasted Salmon and Crab and Corn Chowder. The salmon dish was nicely prepared and the fish was perfectly cooked. The chowder had lots of crab and s great flavor and texture. The staff was very pleasant and helpful.
I really liked selection of food. Since I was here for most of the week I tried my best to try everything for dinner. For appetizers I really like the salad but wasn't too crazy about the tartar with avocado. I couldn't really figure out how to eat it properly. Main course meals I had the opportunity to eat the rib-eye which was very tasty. But what kept me going back for more was the Angus burger with a recommendation from Rosa to add blue cheese. I had it more than once and it was great meal for the end of the day. For dessert, I had a chance to devour their chocolate molten cake, apple pie ala mode, and their chocolate bundt cake. If you like it really sweet go with the molten cake, otherwise I enjoyed the bundt cake the most.
I really liked here, pricer but portion was generous and tasted good. The service was great too. note now the restaurant posts as La Fontana as oppose to Hilton before, therefore there is no trigger of Hilton Surpass card benefit which is disappointing.
Decent hotel lobby sports bar at the Hilton Santa Clara. Service was good.
A mixed experience at La Fontana, Santa Clara I recently dined at La Fontana and ordered the Chilean Sea Bass paired with a Lagunitas IPA. The sea bass was undoubtedly the highlight—perfectly cooked with a delicate, flaky texture and a beautifully seared exterior. The flavors were well-balanced, light yet satisfying, showcasing the freshness of the fish. Pairing it with the bold and hoppy notes of the Lagunitas IPA added a nice contrast and rounded out the meal. However, the pasta I tried fell short. The flavor was far too bland for my taste, lacking the depth or seasoning needed to elevate the dish. For a restaurant of this caliber, I expected more attention to detail in the execution of their pasta dishes. On the bright side, the ambiance was pleasant and relaxed, making it a comfortable spot for a meal, and the service was attentive without being intrusive.
We were pleasantly surprised by the food at this restaurant! It was excellent. Came out piping hot, was flavorful and we'll presented. The environment was quiet and pleasant. The servers were cordial and attentive. Loved it!
They are only currently serving out of the bar right now. No restaurant. The menu is very limited and doesn't match what is online or even what they have at the front. Just like everyone else, I will say it can be pricey. But I had the walnut and blue cheese salad and it was fantastic and huge! It was only $12. BUT if I had added chicken it would've been $26. The drink was great as well. Staff was very friendly and on top of things!!!
Staying at Hilton, its attached and showed 4 stars, chicken is OMG delicious, dessert good but menu says 2 scoops, per pic shows one (they must mean two spoon scoops, maybe).
Nice service and good food (not great), but pricey. The reason I gave 4-star is because it's always easy to get a table for lunch without making reservations here.
Good food. As the restaurant was closed for a special event, we ate in the bar area which was nice enough. Note: The bar and restaurant share the menu. In addition to the bar seating, they have high tables, low tables, and the one 'regular' height table. The restaurant ambiance did seem really nice though and would have been preferred over the bar. Zzz I had grilled salmon on romaine. It was well cooked and flavorful. My dinner partners had calamari (with some shrimp), soup, and a shrimp pasta dish. All seemed very good and with good sized portions (the soup was practically 'meal sized'). The service was good and wait staff very attentive (water refills and service checks). Timing of food delivery was plenty fast for a friendly dinner visit.
Dined here a few times while staying. Food was good, service was good and cocktails were made very well. Typically sat at the bar and enjoyed the multiple TV view. Bar seats were comfortable and bartender was attentive.
Went for a business lunch, small party of 3. Nice restaurant. Was quiet, not crowded. We were seated immediately. Host and servers were friendly and very attentive. I had a pastrami Reuben and a lemonade which was fine. Would definitely go back.
Nice bar with sports on all the TVs around. Had the Chimichurri Steak Bites which were really good! The staff are friendly and knowledgeable as well. Decent experience all round.
Thumbs up: - Easy, free parking - Classy, quiet, and comfortable atmosphere - Attentive and friendly service - Steak was cooked as requested and with a nice chimichurri sauce Meh: - The accompanied shoestring potatoes were literally potato chips in shoestring format; really didn't pair well with the steak. Some veggies or polenta would have been much better. - The key lime cheesecake was fine but not particularly tangy or memorable. - Ow the lunch pricing. $60 after tax and tip for the steak entree + dessert (no drink), but this *is* in a hotel, so I wasn't terribly surprised.
We dined in the bar for dinner rather than restaurant area, although the menu in the bar area is the same, per our server. It was very busy due to the Rolling Stones concert so we were happy to get a table. The service was very good considering everything going on. I felt the menu was a very limited dinner menu - no real options for a vegetarian diet. I am not sure, but possibly they changed the menu that night as I did not see items that I had seen online that I was interested in. I wasn't impressed with the menu at all, but my friends liked the wings. Fries were good. Feeling kinda neutral based on the overall experience.
Tasty restaurant in the Hilton in Santa Clara. Nice atmosphere and feels lively. I had the steak salad and it was really good. The ahi tuna appetizer was really good as well. Server was good with one super annoying caviot. They were constantly trying to up sell and encourage us to order more. Started off trying to get us to order the fixed price lunch. Then, order drinks. Then trying to push appetizers on us. Guys!! Back of and let us have lunch. This is not a car dealership
Very average hotel restaurant. Although food looked quite fancy it was just okay. The choice could be improved. There was only one vegetarian option for dinner. Furthermore, I wish they put more attention to detail - cutlery was worn out, my tea cup had marks, and every tea pot was different. It all makes you feel that you're eating in an average bar, not a 4-start hotel restaurant.
Food was just okay and it’s pricey as would be expected for a hotel restaurant. The Caesar salad was $8 but tasted sour, and not in the good, citrus kind of way but in a “maybe something was bad” kind of way. I took one bite and sent it back but was still charged for it. I asked the manager to remove it which he did without question. Ordered the cioppino for my meal which was tasty. The pasta in the broth was a unique take, but added more substance to the dish. I will say it was a bit heavier on the sauce side then the broth side. The garlic toast was delicious! All in all, your average hotel restaurant.
Closed on Saturday and Sunday. Would have been good to know before booking the room. Website says open. CHANGING MY REVIEW. It turns out it wasnt closed sunday just saturday evening. Mis communication. We tried again on Sunday for the tailg8 party. A much better experience and Monday's breakfast buffet was pretty good. 3 instead of 1 star
At leat not a very good option for take outs. It was on pricy side but the taste was average. Also it was not packed properly. The juice from sea food platter was all over the bag and other foods.
Weren't able to sit and eat inside. Were outside with preconcert crowd. Lively but loud and not what we were looking for. The special hotdogs was good huge but didn't like the toppings. Chicken rice bowl was okay, only kind of dinner option.
Had dinner at this Hilton restaurant in Santa Clara in May 2023. Overall I give it a 3 star as the quality and taste of the food was very “hotelish” and not really what I expected for this type Of the restaurant t. Food was very bland and I added quite a bit of salt and pepper to make it tasty. Won’t go there anymore. The service was great but the crew in the kitchen are very loud and you can hear them in the restaurant.
It’s a nice clean place. Bar drinks are very expensive. The vibe is not it. There is a nice Latino Bartender who works in the afternoon, he made the experience soo much better. The breakfast is over priced, $22 for an omelet. Small cup of coffee is $5. Food is okay but too expensive. Would not eat there again.
The place could use a remake, the bar in front is in the line of the front doors, so it gets pretty chilly from october to March, sitting there. Also for the prices you could expect higher quality of food. That might be a US problem but it also might be a Hilton problem. Let's be honest, the breakfast game gets worse every year. 36$ for a breakfast I wouldn't serve my kids. Staff is attentive, at least in the restaurant. In the bar younget ignored for quite some time. Allnin all, if you have to, you can go there, it's notnlike there is a lot of variety in the area
Lamb sirloin with Polenta Lunch with my team. Menu states the meat was served cooked medium, when my plate arrived it was well done. Sent it back, got it back as medium. Can't recommend this dish. Polenta was very salty and too much butter was added, left a greasy feeling in my mouth. I barely touched the Polenta. The onion soup was ok.
First time here. This hotel space is very nice. It is clean and the staff is very friendly. Pricing however leaves much to be desired. $26 for a very mediocre breakfast buffet is just wrong. And the rest of the menu is prices just as extravagantly. There is much better food, at half the price, within 5-10 minutes of this hotel.
The bartender was great, Micheal. Waitress was slow an maybe sick. The shrimp pasta very disappointing. A chef can't be in that kitchen. Soup was awful, butternut squash . Will not be eating there again , tasteless. SMH. I will still stay at the Hilton. Just not eating. Get a real CHEF please. . Disappointed🤦🙁
I ate here the last two nights (business trip). Pasta last night was dry, I think they forgot the oil. Overall the meal was basic and way overpriced. Had the $44 steak tonight. Over cooked and over priced. Also, they served it on a bed of brussel sprouts which influenced the flavor of the meat.
The restaurant is really bad. The glass are dirty and I needed wait about 45 minutes just for a soup!!! Not recommend!!!
Extremely disappointing. Food - Mediocre Service - abysmal Ambiance - poor Price - extremely expensive We went to La Fontana for mother's day brunch. They charged us as soon as we checked in, then still had us wait 40 minutes past the time of our reservation to seat us. They had clearly taken more reservations than they could support. The price was over $200 for three meals, of which, many items had already run out - from the oysters, to pastries, to black tea. The food was displayed throughout the hotel lobby, so everything echoed so loudly that you could barely have a conversation. Everything we ate was mediocre at best - not at all what one would expect from such a high priced meal with a brand like Hilton.
Got food poisoning after mig visit here. The kind you get fomrom bad meat or fish. Ate the burger which was overpriced even when not counting the included food poisoning. The service was okay but the servers were hovering a bit too much asking if everything was okay.
There was a hair in my wife's food. Watched the cook stick something in his mouth then lick his fingers. Served 2 of us our food, then the last person 10 minutes later. Drinks were empty and not refilled. Waitress was more interested in standing around talking that serving us.
Each time I stay at Hilton Santa Clara, I eat at this restaurant because there are no other eateries in the area. Each of this times, I feel relieved when I leave because the food is horrible. It is junk, junk, junk food, hugely overpriced and tasteless. The $27 breakfast is not any better than free breakfast at Hampton Inn, there is no separate lunch menu, and dinner menu, everything I tried, and I tried almost everything due to my business travel, is tasteless and horrible. No wonder it is almost always empty! Noone would want to eat here unless they have to.
Overpriced, watered down drinks.the server was confused about everything we ordered. She kept saying we have to wait for the bartender.... Calamari was mediocre but NO COCKTAIL SAUCE??? REALLY. No TARTER SAUCE!! they just had a house sauce. Fish and chips is gross. French onion soup was garbage. From room service... So nasty. Save money and go down the street to many restaurants that have variety menu and better taste. So a pizza, hot dog from kids menu, 2 small cocktails and calamari equals 90$$$$ wow.
The ambiance was great but the food not so much. I ordered a salmon patty sandwich for lunch and found a crumbled up piece of plastic that I bit into. When I pulled the plastic out of my mouth and unraveled it, the plastic sheet was the size of my sandwich. One of the waiters asked if I was okay? I was fine but couldn't finish my sandwich. The waiter justified the plastic by telling me that each salmon patty has plastic dividers. This one was crumbled up and in the salmon patty. Obviously the salmon patty wasn't freshly made. What surprised me was that I received the ticket and was charged for the sandwich. I will never eat here again.
