Great buffet and menu selection's! It was all really fresh, and the flavor's were all spot on! Our service was also excellent, especially the server, Desiree... who went out of her way and made our experience even better!

There are so many great things to say about Ming Dynasty that I could run out of room here!!! I have been going here since the day they opened!!! Best Chinese food EVER!!! Everything is delicious!!! The dinner buffet is out of this World!!! Try the garlic string beans, it's life changing!!! Hot and Sour soup is so good, it might make you cry for more in the morning!!! Once you have the buffet, you will want it again the next day!!!

I arrived right when they opened. The buffet was fully stocked, nice variety of options, pleasing presentation, food at expected temperatures, and attentive service. Restroom was clean and well maintained. Parking was easy and plentiful. No complaints in any regard.

Best all can eat Chinese food in Santa Maria!

Always on point, great service, and amazing food! Buffet with the cooking of a high-end restaurant and served by kind and thoughtful people. Always a pleasure to go and also take-out, since I can only do take-out at the moment (Covid-19). Highly recommend the chicken and broccoli, spring rolls, sweat and spicy beef (the darker looking meat, it’s too good), and the crispy green beans (don’t know what it’s called but it’s green beans with pepper and salt and much more, it’s really good).

The restaurant was clean and the food was amazing. The price is excellent. I really enjoyed the food. The waitress was very nice.

I've discovered Santa Maria's freshest, best tasting, Chinese food buffet! Tucked in a small shopping mall you might miss it, but it's well worth finding! First of all, the food just looks plain good. Colorful, fresh looking and steaming hot in smaller bowls that are refilled every few minutes. The servers were busy bringing food in and out of the busy kitchen. First things I dove into was super bright, salt and peppered green beans. These by themselves were so delicious I could have eaten a plate piled high with just these. Secondly, I piled a plate of sauteed, baby mushrooms. Finally, I had a crispy side of fresh sauteed cabbage with slivered carrots and bamboo shoots. For the meat, there was great looking and tasting beef and broccoli (the beef was plump, tender, and juicy)! Then I had very good Kung Pao chicken and some crispy breaded orange beef. There are numerous seafood dishes including very fresh tasting shrimp prepared in various ways including sauteed with vegetables, fried, and tempura battered. There was a bowl of good-looking snow crab legs that I saw several people partake in. I enjoyed the butterflied tempura shrimp! I also had a good serving of the chow mien and found it was light and fresh. There is a table of Chinese soups and rice dishes and a pretty unmolested looking salad bar also. There is a small, but nice-looking desert bar with very good Chinese style fruit and coffee flavored Sponge cake. It was so light and mildly sweet, I had to have 4 pieces! There is also a soft serve machine and melted chocolate fountain that was fun to look at watch kids go up check out. The servers were nice and came by to see if I liked the food and told me to get more! Overall, so surprising to stumble upon such good tasting Chinese food! It's my new favorite place for Chinese food!

We had a large order, the hostess was nice and polite. She said it would be ready in 20 minutes. We arrived 20 minutes after our call, food was ready, packed up neatly and no mistakes, thank you. Outstanding food, we will be back!

Buffet is always fresh. Owners are always checking on tables. Vegetables are always yummy.

It is my first time coming to Ming Dynasty with my cousin. I live out of town and she decided to bring me here for dinner. The food is fantastic! Service is amazing and super friendly atmosphere. Definitely looking forward to coming back here whenever I’m in town. 1000/10

Pretty good food! Service was good! Our waitress was not enthused at all but she was attentive. Pretty quiet overall, was afraid of being too loud. All-in-all, good experience!

Nice location and I certainly appreciated the buffet it was hot and was well stocked they offer a lot of different options I did have to wait a while to be seated however I did come on a very busy day once I was seated everybody was very accommodating and I felt that the value for the buffet was well worth it.

Buffet is pretty legit for a pescatarian. Food is of high caliber. Jenny and the other server were wonderful. The cook was creeped out by my compliments, but I believe he spoke no English, that's okay I hope he is reading this. Great food man. Please ad more sea food: crab legs, salmon calamari, and you'd see me there more often... Will be returning anyway for the customer service and quality in ingredients. . -

They are a buffet that serves an alright selection of meh quality food. Selection: Mainly just Chinese food and fried food, very few veggies (but that's normal), and few dessert choices (2 ice cream flavors, an okay cake, and some cookies). Quality: just mehh, not great..but not bad either If you want a WAY larger selection with the same or better quality for a bit more $ go to V-star Buffet in Santa Maria.

The food is delicious, but fair warning. They use MSG and don't seem to know which of their dishes have it. I have gone with the family and ordered off the menu with supposedly non MSG dishes and gotten migraines. I no longer eat there, maybe they have ditched the MSG. If they have let me know and I'd be back in a flash.

Had their buffet but most of the food was cold or barely warm. Food was interesting. We ate there when they just started letting people go inside so it was hard to serve the buffet. We plan to go back and see if things are better now that people have had a chance to open back up. Going to try ordering from menu this time, food was interesting and good but cold so I'm hoping it will be better this time

The service was ok the food was bland. I thought it would be ok but there isn't anything here to distinguish them from any other buffet elsewhere. They charge a high rate for third class food. Meaning if you cooked this in your kitchen it would have tasted better. There was a lot of things that had a weird smell like the jello smelled like dirty water. The floor and table clothes were so stained and gross. I was happy the plates were clean which is the only reason we stayed. It was a small Buffett for sure. I don't think we should have paid $73 for two adults and two children I could have eaten at Mikados sushi for less and had ten times better food.

The restaurant is opened up for dine in. The atmosphere is nice. The food was average and prices were high for what you get. There are two different types of menus depending on whether you are looking for buffet or a la carte. The buffet is catered by order and if you don't finish what is on your plate, you can not take the food home. This is a one time visit for me.

Ok it is, the selection of dishes was limited. Had to teach them that you probably serve clams with the shells. Fried food was not greasy. Soft serve ice cream was well done. Pork chops were the best thing.

We've always liked the all-you-can-eat buffet. But, there was a change of ownership earlier this year and we don't think the food is as good. Staff are friendly and polite. Senior nights are Weds/Thurs, so that saves a couple of dollars.

Ehh.. what else do expect from a very small Chiness Buffet? Cant have a high expectation coming here. I prefer coming g here than V Star Buffet. Here they are always bringing in new batches when items are running low. Let's you the food isnt just sitting around for long periods of time. They have beer as well.

Paid full price for buffet, buffet was wiped out, did not replenish no food had 2 bowlls of soup (only thing available) will never return 14.95 for soup!! Finally returned to Ming Dynasty was very impressed, plenty of good food delicious! Service was good mom and I both pleased. Excellent experience.

I ate at this restaurant many years ago and I thought it was fine for what it was. I wish I could say the same now, but no. First of all the floor was dirty and the booth where we sat had seen better days. The seat cushion was completely worn out and I felt like I was sitting on the floor, which was dirty. The table itself was sticky. We should've taken the hint and left but decided to not judge a book by it's cover. The food is a step down from Panda Express, which in my opinion is bad. At least at Panda Express the rice and the food are hot. Because I was hungry my initial response to the chicken and broccoli was, well this is tasty. I went back for a second helping and realized, no it's not. I guess if you have never eaten real Chinese food, like in Monterey Park, you might think the dishes here were tasty. No. I wish I had something nice to say but unfortunately I don't. The sweet and sour sauce was a shade of neon pink I have never encountered in real life. The teriyaki chicken was burnt and tough. I had the chow main and it was blaah. The garlic green beans was almost ok but in the end didn't make it. Never again.

Only because there isn't a 0 star available I am forced to give 1 star. Went for the buffet (only one in town) midday, around 12:50 pm, food was lacking flavor. The so called "hot and spicy" dishes were bland. Two of the selections were scorched, and inedible. Oh, and they charge extra if you don't eat what you take. To keep it short, I will not be returning and recommend all avoid the restaurant. Only positive note, clean and staff was pleasant.
