This is our favorite Mexican restaurant in Santa Maria. Our family meets each week on Tuesday and has for 6 years. Give it a big 5 stars.

I've been here several times, I love the Salsa and chips. I've brought my mom here from out of town and she loved it as well she enjoyed there menudo. That's the reason why I come here it reminds me of my mom's menudo patas and all. The owner is always available to make sure all is well. The staff makes you feel welcome I really enjoy the vibe here.

Taste great, quick service, friendly

Taco Ranchero is our go-to Mexican restaurant. We love virtually everything on the menu, however the Pastor is our absolute favorite! If you want the best, freshest Mexican food in Santa Maria, look no further! We send all of our friends here and nobody has been disappointed, they actually all start to frequent this little gem. Stop by and say hi to one of our favorite families in town, they'll treat you great and the food is the best!

Definitely my favorite mexican food place in town. Monica is awesome, great service!Food is consistently very good. Their guacamole is wonderful. I ordered a gallon of it for my last company BBQ, no joke!

First time yesterday. Food was best I've had in a while. Waitress was very polite and friendly. Found out new fav Mexican place in SM.

Ordered 1 x Salas with 3 dinners and they wanted to charge Xtra. Go there all the time and this has never happened. Please educate your employees.

Not only is the food authentic, but the service is too. You can tell this is a family owned restaurant & they treat you like family too and always give you a reason to return.

Delicious. Best fish tacos I've had. Three of us had lunch and everything was high quality and really tasty. My son and husband had burritos and they loved them. All the food was super fresh and just sooooo good. Relaxed atmosphere and really lovely staff. Highly recommend this place!

Excellent for Vegans desiring Mexican food. They have whole beans! I fixed up their vegetarian burrito by specifying no cheese or sour cream, and adding grilled veggies. Spectacular! Also, it's right next to the Children's Discovery Museum. I loved this place

Everyone here treats you like family! The food is great and you won't go home hungry. They have something for everyone, so if you have picky kids, there is a decently sized American diner menu available.

Great family own restaurant with in my opinion some of best Mexican food in town. Amazing Chilli Rellenos and the Mini Tostada was equally as good. Super friendly staff to boot!

Good variety of choices. Big portions. Great prices. If you're in downtown Santa Maria, you could do much worse, even with the huge amount of Mexican food options nearby.

Love this place. It has the 'hole in the wall' feel, but the family is great, very friendly and, most important, awesome cooks!

Great mini tostadas, but man are they overpriced. The chips and salsa were very authentic and delicious. Overall I would give the food a 4/5 stars.

Food was really good. This is tiny little gem tucked away off the main drag. Only downside is they charge for more than one basket of chips. Otherwise highly recommended!

Nummy, there is another popular place in SM and this place has the best beans and rice. That is a sign of a quality mexican restaurant. The staff were super friendly and made sure we had every thing we needed.

Very good deal and very good Carnitas wet burrito! Plenty of meat, I was actually full halfway. Friendly service with portions matching price. Will be back to try something different and do recommend.

Great food and great service! I'm vegan and have a hard time finding good places that have vegan options. Taco Ranchero did not disappoint. I got the spinach enchiladas with guac and red sauce, no cheese,and all whole beans,no rice. It was all delicious! The chips and salsa were also very good! My only thing I didn't love was the guacamole. It was tasty but was missing something. I think they make it on the blander side so all can enjoy. All in all great place and can't wait to come back.

It had a very friendly environment and the chips and salsa were great, but the food was very off. Won't be going there to eat meal again.

I ordered beef chimichanga and it had mostly beans and very little meat. No one checked to see if I needed a refill on my coffee . I might give them a second try because this might just have been a bad day.

My first time and last time. Horrible tacos. Did not have Carne asada flavor. The tortillas were old, the Salsa smelled past due. Would not recommend
