Exceptional food and service. Nick W waited on me and his friendliness and knowledge of the food and wine made this an exceptional experience. My advice: ask for Nick and let him choose the wine! Get the fried artichokes! OMG!
Immaculate service, presentation and taste across the board. I started off shopping on the market side, pleasantly surprised by the quality of brands and selection available. I’d set an initial budget in mind and completely let it go after seeing what they had in stock. I had been searching for this specific tinned octopus and they had it!! I was elated and will likely be back for a second tin lol. Anyways- I wrapped up shopping just as dinner service started and it was spectacular through & through. Nick was a standout, crafting expertly thought-out & thoughtful drinks throughout the evening, truly a gem of an individual (and the biscuits market side are his recipe!! give them a try!!!! 10/10). Each Server, Chef, Bartender, etc that I had the pleasure of coming in contact with was just lovely and attentive. Chef Jacob & Amir were both incredibly welcoming and friendly and full of knowledgeable insight- you cannot go wrong coming here! Will be back again & again until they tire of me and/or I clear out all of their stock lol
Wonderful selection of pastries. Tried the mushroom + gruyere danish — wonderful! The French toast was quick but fluffy inside. Breakfast biscuit was a little too buttery for my liking, but delicious nonetheless, perfect for a small indulgent serving. Will definitely come back for a full breakfast soon.
Farm Shop is a dual concept, on one side they have a grocery shop, with a nice assortment of high-end products, baked goods like fresh pastries, a selection of vegetables and fruits as well as meat and cheese. They have also a cellar with a pretty wide selection of wines. On the other side, they also have a restaurant, a good spot for brunch or dinner with friends and family.
Coming from out of California - must try the roasted apples & goat cheese toast. Still thinking about those apples 2 weeks later. Ordered the crab pasta which also came with a very satisfying amount of crab, and the pasta cooked to a very melo, calm and mindful level of al-dente. Coffee is also very nicely priced for such a fine establishment!
This is my dream grocery store. Great assortment of eclectic grocery and market items. And the best part... both the hot bar and bakery have vegan options! We tried the roasted carrots, sweet potatoes, and chocolate chip cookie.

Chicken liver mousse is my favourite thing there - they use ghee on everything - absolutely love the place
Brunch: minimalist menu but with great choices. Bakery items were made on premises and very tasted as if. Service was friendly and professional. Upscale farmstand vibe.
The have the best steaks at there butcher section! New favorite place to get steaks when I'm over there.
Great spot for sandwiches and salads. The salads were very fresh and refreshing, and I ordered the mortadella sandwich everything was on point and delicious. There were eight of us, and we ordered two salads, almost all the sandwiches on the menu, and a few drinks. The prices were reasonable, everything came out great, and everyone enjoyed their meal. It’s also a perfect place to sit outside the patio is lovely for a sunny Sunday to relax and enjoy good food.

They have delicious ready to go meals. The meatloaf and mashed potatoes were very good!
We just had the best experience in the world with Amer at Farm Shop! We were desperate for peanut butter cookies for a VIP client! We literally went everywhere around town…cookie good, huckleberry, Milo and olive, tartine and no cookies! Finally we find our savior Amer who baked the cookies from scratch for us! Now that’s unbelievable service and hospitality! Legendary! 10 stars!
We had dinner here and their chicken pâté was amazing! I ordered the porcinis mushroom pasta and my husband had pork chops. Jason was excellent! He suggested wines to go with our dishes & it was an excellent pairing!
During a weekday afternoon lunch visit to this place, I noticed they offer parking validation, and it's quite an interesting combination with a restaurant, part grocery store, and more. However, I was a bit startled when the lunch bill came to $120 per person, even though it did include two glasses of wine. Especially since my main dish was just a salad. We sampled the liver mousse, the chicken salad, and the crab saffron pasta. The mousse and pasta were delicious, but unfortunately, the chicken salad was a total letdown. It had a clean flavor, but it was horribly bland. Overall, it's a good spot with great service and a nice atmosphere, but for the price, every dish should be outstanding.
Went for brunch. The food was good but nothing extraordinary in my opinion. The plating was pretty but the egg dishes were just ok tasting. The ambiance is always fun; casual but high end. The service is great. The salted butter was incredible and the espresso martini was perfect. Not too sweet as i requested. Park in the lot for a small fee.
Love this place! Great atmosphere and design. Large brunch menu. The food was very tasty, complex and very fresh tasting. Amazing pastry selection as well. Quite pricy for portions but it’s a trendy spot in La so I get it. The grocery items are very well curated and the coffee bar staff is always lovely!
A very cute place to grab a quick bite or brunch. Has a cute market with top quality and unique items. Pastry is great coffee is ok. I have the Farmers classic and everything was great.

We walked in and put our name down, they quoted us 30-40 minutes but it wound up being over an hour…we would have just gone somewhere else if I knew it would take so long. Food overall very good, some inventive and thoughtful flavor combinations. The octopus ceviche is fantastic. Some minor quibbles…the crackers with the avocado hummus could be lighter, these were quite hard. Steak salad seemed to be a riff on a Vietnamese steak salad, in that case the seasoning could have been ramped up just a little, a touch more acid, salt, and heat. But overall the quality of products is apparent and it’s an impressive operation with the retail, to-go, and bakery side all in one room.

I like the atmosphere here. The coffee was very good. But the bongolle spaghetti I ate for lunch was a little strange. It tasted sour and the noodles felt thick and unripe. The service is normal. But I'm thinking of visiting again.
This review is regarding mostly Farmshop's pastries. I also once had a breakfast burrito with sausage and eggs and I was pretty happy about it, it was fresh and tasty. I wish I can like Farmshop pastries better, since a few coffee shops in the city carry them. But both my visits to Farmshop ended up somewhat disappointing: the pastries just aren't great. The croissant lacks layers and is rather dry and soft, producing no flakes or buttery flavor. Similar soggy texture for the chocolate twist. The coconut Kouign Amann has an interesting sweet, spicy, citrusy taste, but it has little caramelization. Overall, I don't feel excited at all about Farmshop's pastries.

We went on a Friday night and the place was almost empty. It might have been because the LA Dodgers were playing that night, but could it also be the prices? Entrees without sides are around $40 and portions are not big. Is it reasonable to spend $100 per person for an average meal in an empty restaurant where the staff seem keen to close up because there are so few customers? It seems like a downward spiral many restaurants are part of. They raise prices, restaurants empty out, the attraction of going out diminishes etc. Soon they will have to close altogether. I read a stat today that Americans ate 1 billion fewer meals at restaurants in the first quarter this year than they did a year ago. They call it “menu price fatigue.” Why not instead make prices reasonable and have full restaurants that are fun to go to? It’s not just Farmshop, it’s happening everywhere. Such a shame.
Octopus on the menu!!!?? Horrific! These are highly intelligent creatures that should not be on ANY menu. As to the food at lunch today. I honestly almost got up to leave when I saw the octopus but had a friend who wanted to stay. Ordered the Jidori Chicken which was served with whole lettuce hearts and a little grated cheese. The whole thing while not bad was unsatisfying.I have eaten the Jidori chicken many times for dinner up north and loved it. Fresh mint tea at end of lunch lovely. I have eaten dozens of times at the Marin Farmshop and felt the food and service at the LA location not as good.

Sourdough is OK, environment is good, love the idea of food to table. The most impressive thing is the selection. However, unfortunately, one star for services of the bakery corner. Two ladies in there attitude very bad, inappropriate, and cold… Sincerely hope the owner of farmer market giving more trainings for them, not let the become the only regret that cause the whole shop bad…
