We visited here to look out for a cheap option. But it turned out to be cheap AND awesome!!! 🤩 Thier marinara sauce is amazing. For sure you can’t have one slice of it. Try their Grandma’s. It’s worth it.

I’ve had Joe’s in New York, and I can honestly say the Santa Monica location lives up to the same high standard. The pizza is spot on, crisp, flavourful, and just as good as the East Coast classic. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Whether you’re after a quick slice or a whole pie, this is the real deal. Highly recommend!

This pizza is so delicious! Thin and crispy and a very good ratio of sauce and toppings. Friendly staff and they have a lot more options. I loved their pepperoni, you have to get at least 3 slices. Also I brought in two ladies from East Germany and they didn’t speak any English. The people at Joe’s were super helpful and accommodating. They loved the pizza and didn’t want to leave to catch their flight.

My wife and I LOVE Joe’s Pizza. The staff is friendly, the service is fast and the pizza is HUGE. Our favorites are the white and the pepperoni but we’ve tried the whole menu and you can’t go wrong. Joe’s is a must-stop when visiting Santa Monica.

Thin, crisp crust with the right fold, balanced cheese-to-sauce ratio, and no gimmicks—just solid execution. Dave Portnoy gave it an 8.1, and honestly, that feels spot-on. I showed up a few minutes before they opened at 12 PM and was first in line—got the very first slice of the day, and it was 🔥 fresh. Grabbed it with their house-made ranch and a 355 ml (12 oz) glass bottle of Mexican Coke—came out to just over $11 before tip. Pricey? Sure. But totally fair for Santa Monica and well worth it. Pro tip: That ranch is next level—creamy, tangy, with a garlicky punch. Perfect dip for that foldable, crispy slice. The Coke seals the deal. Bottom line: Best NY-style slice in Santa Monica, no question. 🍕🔥🥤

This is not the same as joes pizza on Bleeker Street in NYC. But it’s good NY style pizza meaning it’s thin crust. A regular cheese slice is $4.25 plus tax (with tax it’s $4.69) Their mozzarella cheese is very good. The only thing is CA pizza dough will never be the same as NY/NJ/PA bc the water is different from what all the pizza chefs tell me. CA pizza dough doesn’t have the same chewy fluffy texture. But it was still a yummy NY style slice that you can eat as a snack or meal when you are hungry for that quick bite. Indoor and outdoor seating. Extra sauce that I always like on the side is $1 extra so we didn’t do that.

Being one of the top LA spots for a NY slice, I had to check this place out. The place is very small but there is an area that you can eat, outside, which gets the job done. The menu is very basic that focuses mainly on pizza. Either a slice or a large pie are your only options. So we started off with various slices and I put an order in for pickup at a later time. The pizza was amazing! Nice and thin with zero flop. The crust had a great crunch to chew ratio and the flavor was simple and balanced. What makes this pizza so good is that the sauce, cheese, and crust compliment each other making it a well rounded (no pun intended) pie. I can eat their plain pies all day because there isn’t any need to hide the slice under a bunch of toppings. This place is as close to NYC as your going to get and this beats out a lot of pizzeria’s that I used to frequent when I lived in the Bronx. Score: 4.65 out of 5 Pros: Simple, delicious, true NY style Cons: It’s 3 hours from my house My family and I will be back and I will definitely plan a trip to Santa Monica to satisfy my pizza fix.

Best place to get a slice of pizza in the state. You fold the pizza and there is a slight crunch. The slice stays folder and doesn't droop making it the way pizza was intended to be eaten!

It was like a hidden gem to me when I discovered it because they offer perfectly tasting Italian Pizza, very fast service, and excellent price. It is cozy small place and very close to the beach.

Joe’s Pizza in Santa Monica serves amazing pizza with that perfect New York-style thin crust and flavorful toppings. The quality and taste were top-notch, and it’s easily one of the best pizzas I’ve had in the area. The only downside is the minimal seating, which can be a challenge during busy times. It’s definitely more of a grab-and-go spot, but the incredible pizza makes it worth it.

Order a large cheese pizza for delivery on DoorDash and the pizza cold, not even slightly warm, not worth it, never again.

Bland sauce, skimpy toppings, no refills? Filled my cup to the top with ice and 1/8 worth of soda. Come on now. it cost $.30 for a fountain drink.
