This cute decorative bar was amazing to stumble across! My friend and I walked in, bartender was so sweet. Got our lovely drinks and love shot as well ;) great place to hang out with a group or meet new people
If you’re looking for a holiday themed bar there decorative but still has a dive bar feel then Weary Livers is your spot. Loved the decor. We got snickerdoodle shots, and xmas in a cup both whiskey based. Great service good drinks and atmosphere is the best part. Cheers!
This place was such a vibe! I had been meaning to come here years ago and it never happened, but I had time to kill before my flight home today and decided to check it out. They weren’t technically open yet, I sort of let myself in from the back, but the bartender was cool about it and let me order a mocktail. The plague doctor alone made the trip worth it! Never seen anything like that. I’ll have to return sometime when it’s in full swing.
I’ve been coming to this bar since March 2024, and every time I do I have a great experience. It has a fun atmosphere, awesome service, and great prices. I drive 45 mins to come here and it’s so worth it, plus the staff always makes me feel welcome. There is street parking, but it’s so easy to find a spot. I highly recommend Weary Livers, it’s definitely my favorite bar of all time! :)
Awesome new hidden gem in LA! Shuffle board, beer, Soju cocktails, good music and a Victorian/eclectic ambiance make this a perfect night out on LA’s West side. Both bartenders are great. There’s also free parking behind the building. You definitely need to check this out and show them some love! Get the hard horchata, it’s amazing.
DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS PLACE!! Vibe is awesome. Drinks are top notch. Bartender and vibe here is 2nd to none. My wife and I judged this place walking by but we decided to stop and glad we did. This place is a must stop if you are in the area. Great tap beer and local beer. Very good mixed drinks and cocktails. Get a spicy pineapple margarita! No food served here, only drinks FYI
Visited during their soft opening only but is now officially opened. This is a new business that is literally opening their doors to the neighborhood as they are earning their space as folks who have never lived in SoCal. They kept a significant amount of decor from the previous owner so locals will find comfort in consistency. They mentioned they put the effort into adding some arbitrary "asian" art to link to their featured soju shelf... sure. Despite this lack of intention in curating the kitschy Victorian-heavy space. They're good people. And they are more than happy to take your input. They have pain killers!
Found this place on a whim after working at an art show nearby. I loved the vibe in here. great beer choices, cool decor, and they even plaold movies on a projector. it was perfect for a nightcap after a long day.
Visiting for the weekend and found this bar and absolutely fell in love with it! The atmosphere is amazing, the decor is the so unique and the drinks are so good. Definitely check it out!

I am a local of Santa Monica and the bartender Myles was very nice and respectful. He served me and a bunch of customers very fast. I did not have to wait long to be served. I will definitely come back!! (:
Weary livers is so much fun! The bartender Faith is the best! Very sweet and her drinks are amazing! Will definitely come back!!
Weary livers is such a fun and unique bar. The atmosphere is friendly and inviting, we always find parking within a block, there are fun events here all the time, free games to play, darts, and the staff is incredibly friendly. They also host singles events here all the time as well as game nights and other fun activities. One of the best bars in Los angeles. This is a real gem and it's owned by a husband and wife . You can tell they put a lot of heart into it . Thank you!
An eclectic bar with a very relaxed vibe. They have a solid selection of beer and wine and some unique drinks. Faith was so friendly and made sure my glass didn't stay empty. A nice place tucked in a quiet strip of Santa Monica.
Awesome vibes at the local dive! They host lots of fun events from Chess Club to speed dating and more. Bartenders are cool and there are fun board games, like giant Jenga etc. Always love supporting locally owned mom and pop spots like this!
Support locally owned!! I love this bar - awesome vibe and super friendly staff. Drinks rock, too! And love the location. Great for date nights and they have fun events - what more can u ask for?
Solid local bar. Love the decor. I was hooked the moment I saw the giant skeleton! Weekdays can be pretty quiet, but weekends get busy. They're always trying to do some kind of social event. Faith is the best!
Super cool spot! Very good vibe.. The bartender Myles was very professional and amazing service I’m not normally a beer person but his recommendation was phenomenal! Will definitely be back!

A little bit Mardi Gras, a little bit Beetlejuice, a little bit Disney’s Haunted Castle - and whole lotta fun area tucked away inside this gem of a neighborhood bar in Santa Monica. Friendly bartenders (especially John!), theme nights, board games and free parking right out back. Check it out, you’ll love it, I promise!
This is a solid bar in Santa Monica that has a lot of singles events. A descent location to meet people, the music isn’t too loud and you can have a normal conversation with people. I like the setup and the shuffle board and darts are a nice touch. Has a very chill atmosphere and their specials are pretty descent.

Heard about a chess club that meets here on Mondays, but bartender wouldn’t let me play unless I paid a $15 fee. I’m sober so I just left. Otherwise, seemed like a cool bar.
Went for a event and it was packed with 50 people and very limited seating, only 2 people working and the water tank empty so it was impossible to be served. The event also did not start at the start time, left and went to a different bar. Cool aesthetic inside but would not go again.

VERY DISAPPOINTING. Highly disorganized, inconsistent, and management is a bit pretentious! 😫 So the deal was that I passed by this place many times and was scouting out local places. I as very excited to have find this cool local community and dive with the Black Plague decor. It’s been there a while, but new owners took over about a year ago. First impression was good aesthetically and seeing that they had various themed nights. First time I tried it was open mic. Talked to the owner and even offered assistance in organizing the events, but he said the didn’t need help. While I respect this and hold no grudge, it’s far from the truth, it’s poorly managed. FIRST TIME: There was nothing set up for open mic, no stage, no lighting, not even a sign up sheet. When I asked where they do open mic, he notified at the dark corner. There was one guy that got a mic from the bartender and did open mic sitting reading poetry at the bar. All the open mics I’ve been to at least have a designated spot for someone to sit with a chair, mic, and sign up sheet. Here you randomly ask the bartender for a mic to perform and sit wherever. It was lane, but we decided to excuse the amateur nature and try karaoke night to give another chance. SECOND TIME: It was a confusing haphazard with patrons trying to figure out amongst themselves how to sign up. You had to ask bartender to find out how to sign up and they said QR code on screen, which wasn’t working for patrons, as we were asking each other how to do it. When it finally started working, there was someone tied to the bar hoarding a mic of their own and randomly cutting in as if their own private performance venue. When it was finally my time to sing, I asked her for the mic and she righteously replied that it belonged to the owner and that I had to find the other mic. How does the owner have a private mic just for her? I had to walk around the bar looking for the mic checking people’s hands and the bar. After finally finding it, I went to perform the song in the dark corner and not only was the mic not creating sound, but there was was no music playing to the karaoke song, just words across the screen behind me that I had to turn around to see. So I had to sing the song without music and without a working mic while the lady hoarded the working mic for herself. Worst and most amateur experience visiting there both times. This place is not professional or organized in the least bit. On top of the smugness, the same cider drink that cost $8 last time somehow cost $16 for their karaoke night. Not sure if this was intentional since there were two of us and we only got one drink. I doubt he accidentally charged double, which would be unprofessional on its own. Better to find a professional place rather than here where they have no clue on how to run things. I started off so excited for this place and wanted to really love, but never again! Best to stay away from this Black Plague themed venue.
