We stayed 3 days in Sanxenxo and had lunch at this restaurant every day. We had no problems finding a table or having to make a reservation (except for the paella, which is only available by reservation). The food is simply wonderful, everything we ate was delicious. We reserved one day to eat the paella and it was the best I've ever had 😍🤤 very good and fast service. Good price and the atmosphere is very pleasant. We will definitely return next time.

Everything was quite delicious, from the starters (octopus and ham croquettes) to the cachopo and entrecote, and finally the desserts, including the Kinder and this weekend they served a delicious pistachio one. The service was very pleasant; we'll definitely be back.

We had a reservation, and I recommend booking in advance to avoid potentially waiting an entire lunch service in the middle of August to get a table. We ordered the tortilla, which was incredible and arrived super fast, and for our main course, the cachopo, more than enough for two, and also delicious. We ate in the dining room you enter through, but it was very hot. The other dining room inside (the one you pass through to get to the bathroom) did have air conditioning.

We've had dinner there two nights in a row and everything was fantastic. Homemade food and delicious. The tortilla was super juicy, the tomato salad was very good, the grilled meat was tasty and a good portion. The octopus was our least favorite. The first night we went without a reservation and there was no table, so we recommend booking. The waitress was very friendly. We'll definitely be back.

I don't usually write reviews. Taberna Villalustre was so incredible, I was moved to do so. The atmosphere is one for locals and families and it was nice to see several generations enjoying the high-quality food and excellent service. The prices are more than reasonable for what you are getting. Sure, it's not MacDonalds and that is precisely the point. The service is impressive and it is clear that the staff is concerned about diners being happy. Since my Spanish isn't the best, we struggled through a few minor language gaffs but it wasn't an issue in the end. If you're a rare, non-Spanish-speaking tourist in the area do not let language stop you from visiting Taberna Villalustre. I had the pulpo a feira and the chuleton de vaca vieja. Both are enough for one person so unless you are a big eater consider sharing. I absolutely love octopus and this was, with no exaggeration, some of the best octopus I have ever had in my life. It literally set the bar so high that everywhere I have been in Galicia in the week since dining at Villalustre has had mediocre octopus in comparison. The chuleton de vaca vieja was equally impressive. I was seated next to the grill, which meant I was able to see my steak before it was prepared and then hear the grillman, who I assume is also the owner, hack it up and start to cook it. It has been more than two years since I have had a steak so delicious. Perfectly cooked, rare is perfect, then removed from the bone and sliced before being served to me on a sizzling skillet. The seasoning was outstanding and the meat was incredibly tender and full of flavor. It was as close to grass-fed, dry-aged angus beef as I've ever had without being angus beef. Everything was so impressively delicious and well prepared that I forced the staff to share shots of licor cafe with me to celebrate them. If you've read this far, don't hesitate; go to Taberna Villalustre. You won't regret it.

This is my second time here and it doesn't disappoint. The food quality is in line with the prices. It's true there's a bit of a wait between courses.

A pleasant place with super friendly staff. We had croquettes, octopus, and a ham and cheese cachopo. For dessert, we had pistachio cream and Kinder cream. Everything was delicious and the portions were generous. I recommend it 🙂 We'll definitely be back!

Restaurante de comida típica asturiana, probamos el cachopo de jamón y queso de cabra y está muy bueno. A parte de la comida asturiana tienen muchas otras cosas. Lo más típico de allí es la parrillada de ibéricos, trae varias carnes y todas super ricas. El sitio es grande y cuenta con una terraza exterior en la que también sirven comidas. Comentar que en la carta aparece la parrillada de ibéricos para dos personas por 24 o 26€ (no lo recuerdo bien) y nosotros pedimos parrillada para 2 y nos dijeron que era lo mismo pa 2 que para 4 pero al final nos cobraron 44€ en vez de 26€, no dijimos nada pero la publicidad es un poco engañosa, preguntar bien antes de pedirla. Nosotros éramos 4 pero parrillada solo comieron 2 y pagaron por 4. No tienen café de máquina.
