Tripletail Seafood & Spirits

Wonderful time at Tripletail. We sat at the bar and Katelyn and Cait provided us attentive service and had us laughing all evening. They also suggested amazing items for us to share. Cocktails were good. Bacon wrapped scallops, crab claws, tripletail meal and fish tacos. All made to perfection. The prices are on par with most Sarasota restaurants. The atmosphere is lively and decor is tastefully done. It has something of a bistro meets coastal feel. In season I’d recommend having a reservation especially for a large group.

Had a great dinner hear. Stumbled upon it looking up top rated seafood restaurants. The food here was delicious. Especially the smoked oysters, which are on the happy hour menu. Ask for the happy hour food and drinks menu because they don’t seem to bring it to table automatically. Wednesdays included half off bottles of wine, in which you can take home. The lobster tails were impeccable. I would definitely recommend and come back one day. We sat outdoors and the heaters worked great to keep us warm.

Nikki was fantastic at the bar — warm, attentive, and made the experience even better. The unlimited bread alone is worth showing up for: a crusty French loaf with your choice of butter or cinnamon butter (get both, don’t be brave). The drink menu is broad and well done, with plenty of cocktails, wines, and spirits to keep everyone happy. The calamari — which initially drew us in — was good, though not the standout of the night. The bacon-wrapped scallops with a maple drizzle, however, were a hit, and the lobster mac & cheese topped with fried lobster was indulgent and pretty fantastic. The lobster bisque was solid and comforting, even if I’ve had slightly richer versions elsewhere. Overall, a great spot for good food, strong drinks, and an atmosphere that makes you want to linger — definitely worth the visit.

1st time here. WOW! Excellent all around. Friendly staff. Food was phenomenal. Best calamari appetizer I've ever had. They actually give you a whole portion. Other restaurants are just a small taster. Had the special for the night, Tripletail dinner. Cook to Perfection. Place is very clean. Saturday outside, even better. Definitely coming back again. Highly recommend to anyone in the Sarasota Area.

Stumbled into this elegant, friendly, inviting, and delicious place. Staff was very nice, attentive, super knowledgeable, and enhanced a lovely experience. The seafood was outstanding. Bacon wrapped scallops were great. Crispy bacon with buttery perfectly cooked scallops. The pasta was cooked great and so was seafood which they did not skimp. Stuffed triple tail was amazing. A great find for sure!

Started at the bar having a cocktail and beer, moved to our table once ready. The hostess and servers were fantastic and the food prepared to perfection. As a Sarasota resident this was our fifth time visiting and each time has been wonderful.

I chose Tripletail for date night and I was so happy with my choice! Perfectly laid back atmosphere and staff. My "Last Ray" cocktail was delicious and I dont feel like I need to say anything about the lobster mac and cheese... I will let the photo speak for itself. I cant wait to come back.

Wow oh Wow. What a very pleasant surprise! Our chiropractor actually recommended this place. She described it as a take out fish and chip place so we were expecting a chip shack but this place is quite posh. We had reservations so we were seated immediately. Nicole H was our server and she was excellent! We ordered drinks and I was pleased when Nicole said they could make a Gibson. Only high end restaurants make them. There is a cool bar area with a great selection of booze. We got a serving of warm bread with two kinds of butter. I ordered the half dozen raw oysters which were huge and delicious. For our entrees I had the triple which was a huge serving which I could not finish. My wife had an excellent fish dish, also big serving. I got the caeser salad which came with real anchovies. All of this was perfect. My wife really liked the fancy water bottle that was place at the table. She bought one to go. Awesome experience. This will be our go to place now. Thank you Nicky!

We came here after seeing their Chef on local TV preparing a Savor Sarosata dish. The food was delicious and didn't disappoint. We started with the Seafood Bisque which was loaded with tidbits of seafood in a cream sauce. For the entree I had a triple tail Reuben which was a traditional grilled Reuben on Rye with Saurkraut and Swiss Cheese but with grilled Triple Tail White fosh instead of a traditional Corned Beef. It was fantastic. My spouse had a Coconut Shrimp salad which had a lot of fruit and salad greens covered with Coconut crusted Shrimp. Th shrimp were large and fresh as was the salad ingredients.
