Belford's Savannah Seafood & Steaks

I have a treat for you, especially if brunch and seafood are your thing—Belford’s downtown in Savannah’s historic City Market. I popped in just before noon on a Thursday and treated myself to the Seafood Frittata with shrimp, crab, spinach, and roasted red and green peppers. The entree also comes with house-made crispy fried potatoes and fresh strawberries, blueberries, and orange slices. This was amazing!!! I loved the cheddar-draped frittata, but the fried potatoes are the real scene-stealer. Super CRISPY with skin-on and flakes of salt and seasoning, these are now my gold standard potatoes. All time—TOPS. I asked the bartender, Cheyenne, what the secret was, but she couldn’t reveal it! So, you just have visit Belford’s for brunch and taste for yourself—you’ll totally get it once you bite into a crispy, flavorful potato wedge. *Lastly, I wasn’t planning on writing a review, and so the pic of my entree was taken well into enjoying this meal. Belford Savannah Seafood and Steaks has an excellent selection of seafood. Ordered the Faroe Island salmon. It was one of the best salmon I have eaten in a long time. My husband had the seafood linguine and it was an excellent choice, "delicious" as he described it. Thank you Jake, you were an excellent waiter. Highly recommend this restaurant.

10/10, 100/100. 1000/1000 this place. Romantic. The best steaks ever. They unfortunately sold out of the rib eye and I “settled “ for the New York strip and boy let me tell you. Hands down the best. We have been to some of the best steakhouses in the east coat. And this one still remains at number 1.

This isn't our first visit to Belford's in Savannah, Georgia. We ate here about 15 years ago. Our first visits was so special so when we were traveling back through the area we decided to get reservations again. Both trips I had the same dish, Shrimp Greens and Grits. Both times it was very good. We must have caught the staff on an off night this visit, they seems distracted but still the service, food and atmosphere were very good. Prices are reasonable, the cocktail, beer and wine selections are also very nice. The location is great.

We ate at this restaurant for our birthdays. We were in town from Arlington, TX. I really enjoyed my food and my husband enjoyed his food as well. Whenever I’m back in Savannah, I will definitely visit your restaurant again!

Being born and raised in MD, and having recently moved to FL, these were the best most authentic jumbo lump crab cakes I've had south of VA in a long time!! Seems that southern style crab cakes tend to have bell peppers, or even corn at times, with no lump crab and mostly junk meat and filler. These were NOT the case! Very happy with the flavor, just wish they were a bit larger. Brunch on a Saturday wasn't hard to get a table even though we made reservations. Dog friendly patio with ceiling fans and great location for people watching. Crab cake benedict and crab cakes were good. Shrimp and grits were lackluster. It was a grit cake rather than creamy grits and just were dry and lacked flavor. Shrimps were fine, but nothing to write home about and the greens were the same. Espresso martini wasn't great, but the candied bacon Manhattan was good. So some hit or misses, but would be back for the crab cakes and other things.

The service and atmosphere here are great! Parties are seated once everyone arrives... The restaurant is walking distance from numerous shops which was great for the kids when they got bored. The food was good, but maybe my expectations were too high; I wasn't blown away. The steak filet was cooked to temperature but it needed a crust. It tasted like it was fresh out of the sous vide. The table bread and she-crab soup looked amazing but ended up just being- 'meh', I didn't get to try the fried chicken but heard it was delicious. The fried green tomatoes and deserts however were a hit! Everything seemed a bit overpriced compared to how it tasted. 🤷🏻

The food and drinks are very yummy. The manger should be checking w tables after they have their meal not resetting tables. Walking right by us several times with out a smile Or how was your meal. I am assuming the manager is the male w long side burns. The peppercorn sauce was not good at all. Would not order again. We started coming here many years ago when the manger would always stop at your table. And made the special banana foster himself tableside.

The food was excellent! The service was slow, at a point of getting annoyed. The location was great! Overall I was very pleased and will return if I’m ever back in Savannah, GA

This place is not worth it. Will not be coming back. The quality of food was not worth the price. It took a very long time for the waiter to get our order so the service was 2/5. The drinks were also a 2/5. The snapper was good 4/5 but only came with veggies no real sides. The short rib was $52 and very underwhelming 1/5. Then I found a hair on my plate after eating the food. I have braids so I’m 100% sure it wasn’t my hair.
