I was very pleased with my stay at Spark Midtown by Hilton in Savannah. The whole property was extremely clean, neat and the service was very good. The room itself was clean and I loved the layout: it was extremely efficient and user-friendly, as well as functional, yet beautiful. The location was only 8 to 10 minutes away from the historic district and there was no charge for parking unlike the hotels closer in the historic district. This will be my go-to place whenever I visit Savannah.

Check in was a breeze. Room was wonderful and cold when we arrived, not many hotels are like this. I saw some comment on the handle for the bathroom but I had no issues with it. Staff were very friendly when checking in and out as well as housekeeping.

This may be the best room for under $100 dollars that I've stayed in for decades. While it lacks the luxuries some might associate with Hilton properties, it doesn't lack the good service, clean rooms, and necessities a traveler needs.

Hard to argue with this place for the price. Is it premium? No. Is it recently updated and comfortable. Absolutely. We had a great stay and it was quiet, clean, and well updated. My only issues were the breakfast wasn’t quite kept stocked, not enough outlets and our ac had a rattle but other than just fine. The positives were location, staff, cleanliness.

We had a very pleasant 3 days at the hotel. Our room was quiet and well maintained. The wifi was fast, and the tv had plenty of channels with free HBO.

When we checked in two days ago, we requested a quiet room. Little did we know that room 135 would be near the trash dumpsters and that we would be awakened at 5:48 Saturday morning when the trash was picked up. The dog that was near us was quieter! Next time we will ask for a higher floor on the side of the street. The room itself was quiet. The bed was comfortable, and we used our own pillows since the hotel pillows were flat and lifeless. The TV and mini fridge worked perfectly. We also had plenty of hot water in the sink and shower. The sink by the door was unexpected. When entering or leaving the room, we had to enter slowly to be sure no one was by the sink when we entered. That wasn’t difficult to do since the door was difficult to open. The door from the parking lot to the first floor was also difficult to open using our room key. The fitness room was adequate. It had what we needed. It also had water, a TV and towels. Breakfast was cereals, fruit, muffins, bagels, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, but nothing hot, except oatmeal which had to be fixed individually. The orange juice tasted watered down. They had three types of milk, including oatmeal. Coffee was available, as well as hot water for tea or cocoa. The breakfast area was adequate, and the staff was helpful and friendly. The location was ideal, only 20 minutes from Savannah. The front desk staff was also friendly and helpful.

this place puts you in the mind set of a main Hilton property but it is a little below that. apparently, this particular hotel is a refurbished LA Quinta and there are reminders all around. With all that being said, the room was still great along with the service!

A nice hotel. It looks like they renovated an old hotel but it works out really nice because it has the charm. Breakfast was okay. It's just I guess a continental breakfast breakfast is like bagels and stuff like that. Very small variety. They have Folgers coffee. It's a beautiful hotel the rooms were a little small but it was just the two of us so we did well.

This was a completely acceptable hotel. Not stellar, but acceptable. The rooms were clean, AC worked. No bugs! And within a relatively short drive of downtown. All for a decent price. However, it did leave some things left to be desired. The breakfast was bad. Basically only bread, cereal, and muffins. The stairs were creaking, and the elevator sounded like the doors were gonna get stuck at any time. The shower… quite literally needed a warning from the host. I could barely turn it on. And I was afraid I was gonna break it how hard you had to pull the knob. The water pressure was decent, but all the shampoo and conditioner was completely empty. The water on the sink was also backwards (hot was cold and cold was hot). However, the hotel wasn’t bad in general, and I would stay again given the affordable price.

I agree with other reviews about the decor needing some major upgrades, but my stay there was pleasant and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful, and my room was clean by hotel standards. My wipes didn't pick up dirt or hair when I used them to wipe out the surfaces (something I do at ALL hotels). No musty smell either. It actually had a light scent of linen. Bottom line, this is a very decent place for the price point, and I would stay there again.

Clean, fresh, friendly checkin and checkout, Continental breakfast and little store for miscellaneous items. Would definitely stay again. NOTE: the turn on valve on the shower is horrendous and I recommend them fix. You will need to stand in the tub, with a towel in hand and pull the nozzle towards you like you are in tug of war with 10 people. The upside is the water is nice and hot with good pressure. If you have sensitive feet, place towel in tub due to the anti slip devices in the bottom of tub…too sharp for me and too sharp to sit down…use towel. 👍🏿👍🏿

4 stars based on what you pay for, just to be clear. Older bldg that could have been a best Western or choice motel, renovated with new carpet, large rooms but still 70s bathrooms. Very cheap but two, three steps below True or curio or tapestry which are luxurious compared to this one. However, for the price, it is a good value and was clean, fresh and comfortable.

My main issue was they couldn't give me a paper copy of my bill at checkout. Breakfast is very basic with no hot choices because there really isn't any room in the breakfast area. This used to be a LaQuinta. I was told any room could have had a pet before me but that rooms are cleaned well.

Do not stay in a room facing the road. We stayed in room 338 and the traffic at all hours of the night was horrendously loud. The staff were VERY kind and allowed us to switch rooms to avoid the noise. It was a night and day difference didn’t even hear the traffic in our new room facing away from the road. So odd how the rooms don’t have dresser drawers.

I’m going to start this by saying that I am very picky about where I stay. With that being said: The last 3 times we’ve stayed here, this hotel has been every thing we were looking for. It is a bit older, but it looks like it was updated recently. The beds are comfy, the rooms are always clean, the AC/heater always works wonderful, and the staff is always so nice and welcoming. From the check in lady, to the night front desk. The only down side that I noticed in our stay last night, is that our room did not have a microwave. Maybe it was just that room? That’s why I only have it 4 stars. They do have one in the breakfast area though. But other than that, this place is at a great location at a reasonable price. We will definitely come back in the future.

Well, decent hotel, you can tell it's older. The elevator has a smell, the rooms are nice and renovated, the bathrooms are a bit older but clean. The breakfast was dissapointing, just cereal, bread, some cream cheese and fruit yogurts. No eggs, nothing warm. If you don't want sugar for breakfast this is not for you. We stayed for two nights.

This hotel is a renovated La Quinta to match other hotels like Tru by Hilton. Some things are new but it still has a "lunchroom", "gym" and "old" smell. Food and coffee is so-so, but there is a Honey Baked Ham across the street. Management was friendly and helpful with de-icing my car as well.

I would rather rate it at 2.5 but it gets a 3. Maybe other rooms have a better setup. But the setup and not as clean as you want and the squishy pillows all make it fall about 2.5 to 3.

The room was ok. My only issue was that there was hair all in the shower as if it had not been cleaned. And when I used the towel there was a hair sticking to that as well. Cleanliness is a must. But overall it was ok. Bed was comfy and soft. Pillows soft as feathers.

Savannah Midtown by Hilton is a newly renovated property, and that definitely shows. The hotel felt clean, modern, and well maintained, which made a great first impression. About 15 minutes after checking in, we noticed water leaking from the sink due to a broken drain. I called the front desk, and to their credit, they handled it very professionally and moved us to another room immediately with no hassle. The staff response was quick and appreciated. The biggest downside of the stay was the breakfast. It was very below average, cold boiled eggs, no tea options, no bread, and no omelette station. Additionally, there were no microwaves in the room, which would have been helpful. Also the most annoying experience was no hot water in the shower! It was -4 celcius so my frustration is valid! Overall, the stay was decent thanks to the cleanliness and responsive staff, but it could be much better if the breakfast offerings are improved.

Room was not clean. There were balls of hair around the bed on the floor with a used hair tie and in the bed. Aside from this, the pillows had an unpleasant odor as if they were not laundered. Staff was asked if they could change the sheets and vacuum to accommodate the uncleanliness, but unfortunately when returning to the room nothing was changed. Location was decent with being about 15 minutes from downtown Savannah. Overall, it was not the worst by Hilton, however, there is room for improvement.

First timer at this brand by Hilton, being an Honors Member. Location was great, being able to check in online with digital keys was awesome. Carpets need to be deep cleaned and deodorized, First night was ok until we got in the bed. I was itching all night and saw that I was breaking out. Husband and I got up, checked the bed and he saw blood stains on his side of the bed. I noticed & felt rough patches on the sheets. Contacted housekeeping and they came in immediately to change only the fitted sheet! I told her no ma’am, change everything including the mattress cover. She did and later that night was ok. We travelled there for a getaway and had arrived late evening. So being on the road after getting off from work, to get there and have your rest interrupted in discomfort was unexceptional! Then to top the stay off, front desk double charged my husband’s card (on the bank statement but not the receipt). He acted like he was removing the charge but then told my Husband to call in the morning. This hotel brand don’t have no #SPARK about it, love you Hilton but you gotta do better!! #DisappointedMember

Upon check in i don’t know if that old man is the owner but he’s rude with no hostility in his bones. The room had no microwave, the pool was cloudy and the tub in the bathroom i don’t know if they put white gloss to maintain it fresh but it’s slippery as HELLLLLLLL .

Edited to add my confirmation for any confusion. So sorry that you don’t know what you’re talking about. I booked a room two weeks ago through booking.com. I called the hotel after booking to confirm the reservation. Tonight, after a long day of travel, the man at the front desk couldn’t find my room. He was rude and annoyed from the moment I walked in. I had my confirmation number available and politely answered all of his questions. He offered no assistance. I walked out, and made my husband aware of the situation. We sat in the car, gathered all the emails, and he walked in to speak to him. As soon as my husband walked in, he said “I told her you don’t have a reservation. I cannot help you” and turned away from my husband. I highly recommend going anywhere else other than here for your stay in Savannah. Luckily, the Tru by Hilton next door had a room available and a kind, friendly front desk employee. She was quick to get us in a room. I’d check them out!

As soon as we walked in to get checked in from a 6 hour drive, the person at the front desk ask for a ID. So we gave him a global entry card but he first said it was expired but it expires in 2030. Then he said it needs a birthday on it, and it did have one. After that, he threatened to kick us out and said it was his property and he could do whatever he wanted.

I agreed with others' reviews. I don't think this hotel met Hilton Honor basic standard. If you don't mind and have low expectations. Then this is your hotel. The bathtub drain is not working. Called the front desk and tried to fix it. Unfortunately, it is still clogged after several times of use. Of course, he complained it is not his job to fix it, but service dept. As usual, no one followed up the next day as they promised to send someone to fix it the next morning. You mean it is the guest job to test all your amenities for you. Isn't it should be working all the time? Next, the room really lacks storage for your clothes/stuff. Where are you going to put your stuff? On top of the TV, table, or nightstand? Next, about the housekeeping. Why was only half the bed taken care of, but the other bed was left untouched (queen bed). Did the housekeeper leave my room unexpectedly for some other emergency task? Well, the breakfast area was clean at least. Why? Cos there is nothing much there to offer for breakfast. Where is my bacon, omelets, waffle, or any hots breakfast? We end up going somewhere for breakfast instead. Next, why does the front desk argue with someone over the front desk on the phone and then share it with another guest in front of him? Does this help him with his therapy? Next, the gym only have 3 equipment? If you are an active person who love exercise. You can forget it. Next? Not even a basic microwave? And a flying roach in my room. The only good thing is the location. Otherwise, it's not recommended. Btw. I checked the other recent reviews. Looks like nothing has changed or fixed with the same concern other guests brought up in the past. :(

The Staff was great, thanks Crystal and Razu for your help! Unfortunately, the carpet in the bedroom smelled so bad couldn't sleep through the night had to checkout. Theres also a sewer pipe smell in the halls and the front lobby. Tried another room, the smell was less intense but couldn't handle the sewer smell in the hall. Replacing the carpet with a tile or lvp would help the staff to be able to disinfect the floors better to lessen the smell. Had to cancel a 5 day stay, very disappointed as a Gold Hilton Honors Member on our family vacation. Maybe an air quality test by a health inspector should be completed. The air can't be healthy for employees nor guests.

This was advertised as a pet friendly hotel but we did not have a good night of rest. The rooms smelled musty, the door had a wide opening at the foot, and we could hear our neighbors very clearly. Needless to say, our dogs were barking all night because there was little privacy and they would be able see foot steps at the door. I do not recommend this hotel.

Very underwhelming property! No way is this a Hilton brand. First the carpet and doors are severely outdated. The shower/tub halfway works and some parts were disconnected. There were smells of weed constantly & when you complain, the front desk does nothing about it. 8 A.M. neighboring room blasts their music from their portable loud speaker…once again complain to the front desk and they DID NOTHING!! I will never in my entire life stay here again nor would I recommend it to anyone else! Stay clear of this place at all costs!

I wish I could give it zero stars. Not sure how this is considered a Hilton property? It smelled musty, the rooms were dark and dreary. The pipes rattled when you tried to take a shower and there were was NO hot water? The AC/heat didn't work and the "breakfast" was laughable. The front desk agent just shrugged his shoulders when I and other guests brought it to their attention? Avoid this place

We reserved at this hotel after checking the hotel website for acceptance of pets. Their website says "Pets Pets allowed, $20.00 non-refundable fee, 45 lbs maximum" The desk clerk said my cat was not a pet and would not honor our reservation.

The staff was really rude to my husband. My brother is sick in the hospital and when we returned our room door was wide open when he asked the front desk about one of the staff told him if he didn’t like it he could check out… wow is the only thing I can say that’s no way to treat anyone

My daughter booked us a room for 3 nights here . When she got to the hotel , was then told our reservation had been canceled with absolutely no explanation. So now we are looking for a room for 3 nights , after traveling with a 5 year old . After reading reviews last night i wasn't that impressed with this hotel , so I'm going to look at it as a blessing. Wouldn't waste my time or money !! Really disappointed that they carry the Hilton name!!

I wish I could leave ZERO STARS!!!!! The hotel looks like an old hotel that they remodeled. COOL! I stayed here for a church event. I wasn't impressed with when I pulled up but I thought I'd give it a chance! I didn't get a chance to really look at everything because we were in a rush! That night, my daughter noticed there were old blood stains on the covers & it grossed her out! I just allowed her to sleep with me that night because it was too late to try to switch rooms. The next morning, my 7 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER found someone's vape pin in the room!!!!! I was PISSED!!!! I called downstairs & was told that a manager would call me right back! I have called several times and still haven't spoken to a manager. The guy at the front desk is a complete JERK!!!! NO MANNERS & CAN BARELY SPEAK ENGLISH! HE HUNG UP ON ME AFTER I told him that he was rude. He asked me if I expected them to just let the phones ring since there's no manager there!!! What kinda mess is that?!?!?! INITIALLY, I didn't want a refund, but NOW I DO!!! I have never had a bad experience with Hilton but I sure hope that the right people see this review! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!

Do NOT stay here. Just pay the higher prices of other hotel and enjoy your actual stay. These people are absolute robbers that will bait and switch you rooms and overcharge you. I got charged for a room that wasn’t even available and used. Spend a month fighting it with proof of such and they still didn’t budge. They do not care for customers. STAY AWAY. I wish I would have simply pay any other hotel closed by.

Dear Hilton Guest Assistance Team, I am writing to report a serious incident that occurred on October 30th, 2025 at the Spark by Hilton, Savannah GA. During check-in, the front desk employee refused to recognize my Global Entry ID, a U.S. Government–issued identification card. When I politely asked for clarification, the employee became hostile and verbally threatening, stating that he would “throw me and my son out” because “this is his property.” This behavior made both me and my son feel unsafe and intimidated. Such conduct is unacceptable in any setting, especially from a Hilton representative. Please open an urgent investigation into this incident and provide me with a case number for reference. I also request a written response outlining the corrective action being taken and assurance that no retaliation will occur should I choose to pursue this further. I have documented the incident and plan to file a police report for the threats made.
