Such a great luck spot! My mom, sister, and I came here for a nice lunch during our shopping day. When we tried to go at 12:30 there was a 20 minute wait- which was not bad, but if you don’t want to wait I would definitely recommend making a reservation. We were able to sit outside which was perfect. They had light heaters running to make sure everyone was comfortable. Our waiter was nice, but not the most attentive. It took a very long time to get our waters and our check at the end. It was ok given the business of the restaurant. My sister and I both got the teriyaki rice bowl and my mom got the grain bowl with added salmon. Both dishes were excellent. Adding protein on your dishes is an exponential added cost, but worth it in my opinion. Overall this is a really great place in one of my favorite shopping places!

Walking through Scottsdale quarter and wanted something delicious and healthy. We stumbled upon True Food and appreciated the open floor plan and outdoor seating. We were sat immediately on a Friday afternoon. I needed a warm tea and the ginger lemon did not disappoint! We ordered the hummus dip with veggies to start and I had the Thai curry and my husband ordered the lasagna. Everything was super fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. The portions were large and perfect for sharing. I ended up with leftovers. The place was clean and welcoming. Our server was pleasant and efficient. A great experience all around. Will be back to try more of the menu.

I love this place!!!! Our waitress Kambry was fantastic. The food is always fresh & delicious! My favorites are the edamame dumplings, spaghetti squash, guac & matcha horchata.

This was my first time trying Truefood and it exceeded my expectations! Lots of vegetarian options here. We tried the sourdough pizzas and they were amazing. Our server Cynthia did a great job, very friendly and quick service.

Friendly staff and quality food. The cheeseburger was excellent. Better than most ‘non healthy’ restaurants. They cook the meat to your desired temperature. The edamame dumplings are in a mushroom broth that tastes like beef broth to me. Also very tasty. They have a $19 lunch special where you get two food items and a drink.

Had a great dinner with my family. I'm usually not the biggest fan of this type of restaurant but that being said having impactful, fresh taste and a diverse menu is what will bring be back here. My family went in for happy hour and had mainly appetizers. The food is fresh, the service was quick and attentive. I'm particularly fond of the pizzas. My pizza was arugula, cheese and hot honey. We also shared hummus plate and ordered cups of butternut squash soup. If you are at least curious about this place but not sure if it's your taste/ style I'd say at least drop by and try the happy hour.

We had a good lunch. They have lots of healthy choices and are very conscious of food allergies and sensitivity. There was a slight wait to get in at lunch but once seated on the patio the service was quick and efficient. Our meals were all good and the pricing was typical of the area. I would go back.

This was my first time here, and I enjoyed every minute of it. Staff are super helpful and super friendly.my waiter Mason was awesome, and he deserves five stars. I've been here since Thursday in so far this is the best food I have had since coming here. Awesome place to come they have a lot of healthy options, and you should come down and check out the spots immediately. Definitely already decided to come back for dinner, they sold me.

True Food is consistently great. The food is fresh and flavorful—I always get the Korean bowl with chicken, and it never disappoints. My friend had the pizza and said it was one of the best in town. Hannah was our server and took such good care of us. The manager, also named Hannah, is always so warm and welcoming—she brings such a positive energy to the restaurant. Between the friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere, and delicious, healthy food, it’s easy to keep coming back.

My boyfriend and I went Tuesday night at 8:25 pm, which is close to close, but that didn't stop the staff from creating a welcoming environment. Our server Devin was an absolute joy and had many great recommendations on the menu. The food was incredible, it all makes me wish I had a True Foods in town.

I had the pleasure of visiting True Food Kitchen based on a strong recommendation, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. The restaurant's ambiance is perfect for various occasions, whether it's a romantic date or a casual lunch with friends. True Food Kitchen impressively caters to both vegan and non-vegan diners, offering a wide range of appetizers, entrees, and desserts. I opted for the double vegan cheeseburger, and it was a delightful surprise! Notably, they don't rely on "beyond meat" or "impossible meats" for their patties, yet the burger was incredibly delicious. The drink selection also deserves praise for its quality. Overall, True Food Kitchen is a must-visit spot for a memorable dining experience.

🌿 Flavor That Hits Different at True Food Kitchen! 🍔🍤 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If you’re in Scottsdale and haven’t tried True Food Kitchen, you’re seriously missing out! I had the All-American Cheeseburger and the Shrimp Skewers—and WOW. The burger was juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, while the shrimp were seasoned to perfection with a light, fresh taste that screams summer vibes. This place isn’t just about eating—it’s an experience. The atmosphere is modern, vibrant, and full of good energy. From the first bite to the last, everything was chef’s kiss. If you’re all about great food and an even better vibe, this spot is a must-visit! We were greeted immediately upon arrival. The employees were very friendly and very knowledgeable of the food. I would definitely return thank you so much for the great customer service.

Huge space right in downtown Scottsdale. Tons of indoor and outdoor seating, a sizable wraparound bar and plenty of options for large and small parties. The staff were all very kind and helpful, and the manager made sure we were all well taken care of. The cocktails were delicious (I had the berries and bourbon) and their fresh lemonade was delicious. All the food was super fresh and had a ton of great flavors. Everyone in my party loved their dishes. Would absolutely go back any time I'm in town.

Friday night movie night. Went to True Food before the show. We both ordered the OG Grass Fed Burger. Mine had the potatoes on the side and she ordered with the kale salad. Both cooked perfectly at medium. Excellent flavor and texture in the meat. My potatoes were AMAZING. Slightly crisped and tons of flavor. Her kale salad was dry and not so enjoyable but hey, it’s kale. Lol. Definitely recommended. The atmosphere is wearing down. It seems the place hasn’t changed much since it opened many years ago. But still suitable and nice. Great service even for a busy night. Def. 4.5 stars. Thanks.

Outstanding service. Ordered drinks through the QR code on the table and had drinks within minutes. That sure was nice! Food was perfect as always. This was my first time at this location so it was nice to have the same experience as other locations. Fell in love with the pickled onions on my Turkey Burger because of this place! So tasty! Always try new coctails at this place and it is always a pleasant experience. One of the spots you can always count on to meet expectations and cravings. Thank you much😃

I love True Food Kitchen as it never disappoints. The menu is eclectic and healthy, and I love the variety to choose from. The food is always very tasty and reasonably priced. The patio is very nice and temperature controlled. I always look forward to trying something different each time we visit.

Seasonal ingredient menu, more commonly found in Europe, was fresh, customizable for dietary-needs, delicious, and timely! Their excellent menu offerings, mostly gluten-free by design, were exactly why we chose to dine here. The wait staff was exceptional and service superb. Dine-in sanitization maintained and improved by cutting edge, touch-less, table QR code menus accessible through personal smartphones, which double as final billing/payment processing. We will most definitely keep True Food Kitchen at the TOP of our list for future dining out options, when available at travel destinations. Would love to see one come to Eugene, Oregon! Their sustainability practices align perfectly with our hometown community.

Excellent dining experience. Open and inviting interior with lots of outdoor dining space too. Started with the edamame wonton=this was outstanding! The broth was very flavorful and this was such a great appetizer. Main course of grass fed tenderloin which was outstanding as well. Excellent service and great wines by the glass.

my friends & i came here for our last meal before heading to our flight home. we started with the edamame dumplings as a shared plate & ended up ordering another one because they were so good. I got the teriyaki quinoa bowl & loved it! my friends each loved their meals too- they especially loved the lasagna. Next time we are in Arizona, we will be coming back (:

What a delightful, health-focused dining experience at **True Food Kitchen**! We savored their juicy grass-fed burger—perfectly seasoned with fresh toppings and that satisfying char. Paired it with an amazing salad: vibrant greens, crisp veggies, and a light, flavorful dressing that elevated every bite. Everything felt fresh, nourishing, and delicious in a bright, welcoming atmosphere with great service. True to its name—real food that tastes incredible. Perfect for a guilt-free meal! Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

True Food Kitchen is fantastic! I love that they use no seed oils, which makes their food taste fresh and wholesome. The atmosphere is inviting, the service is quick, and everything feels thoughtfully prepared. My favorites are the salmon, the hummus platter, and their crisp, fresh salads.

Sometimes there’s a wait during peak hours but always has been worthwhile. I’ve come here every week so far and am always surprised with how they’re always so consistent on the quality of their food and service. Very happy.

My boyfriend and I love to try different restaurants. We wanted to try something new. We heard good things about True Food Kitchen in Scottsdale. So, we decided we would try it. It was our first visit and certainly will not be our last! The atmosphere was pleasant. We felt very comfortable. The service was excellent. Our server, Jessa was very kind and welcoming. Her smile and attitude presented as sincere. We had many questions about the menu items. She was very patient and helpful. Jessa suggested we try the Holiday Hot Totty to sip while we made our decisions! It was just what we needed. The salmon was delicious. Our appetizer and our dessert were also delicious. Overall, our favorite part of our dinner was the suggestion by Jessa to try the Holiday Hot Totty. It started our evening such a wonderful note. Thank you, Jessa! We were very pleased with our experience at True Food Kitchen in Scottsdale. We will definitely be back. We will also tell our friends and family to try it. We assured them. that they would NOT be disappointed. I also suggested they request Jessa when they visit. I know we will!

This place is incredible. We are from out of state and this restaurant was recommended by friends. So glad we found it. Everything was great! Our server was prompt, knowledgeable, and attentive without hovering. The atmosphere, especially outside was the right ambiance. Then of course there was the food. My wife has Celiac and the staff was very knowledgeable about the kitchens set up, procedures, and capabilities. The selection of food is large, organic, and clean. What came out and was set in front of us was amazing. Oh, and desert was the bomb. We'll be coming back before we head back home.

We were seated quickly for lunch but I overheard there was a wait for dinner so consider reservations on the weekend. We enjoyed our food. Got the chicken parm, pepperoni pizza and turkey burger. The prices are high but the quality is good. I may try something different next time because I wanted my chicken to be more crispy and breaded. Service was very friendly and fast. Cute area outside.

A delicious and creative lunch. Easily reserved a table via their website. A wonderful selection of carefully crafted dishes, all labeled so diners can choose gluten free, vegan or vegetarian. There are meat options as well. I had the cauliflower polenta, and my aunt ordered the spaghetti squash casserole. All were served fresh from the kitchen at the proper temp, and were well portioned. Colorful and absolutely delicious. We sat on the patio, enclosed and with heat! Sun was very bright today and we moved our chairs often because the shades weren't quite low enough. That being the one and only negative. Service was excellent. Coffee was superb. Wish I had room for dessert, so I'll have to return.

I've dined at another location before and feel in love. The menu has changed since then and they deleted my favs. It was good food for sure and I loved the air fried gluten free option. It was just missing something my initial visits had. Plus parking on a Sunday took us forever to find.

Delicious spot located in the heart of Scottsdale Quarter. Have been here a few times and have always enjoyed it. You can definitely taste the quality of the meals at True Food! They have a good menu with a ton of variety on it. Portions are good sizes too. Since you're in Scottsdale, it is a little pricey. They do have a good happy hour though! Recently, I had their Jambalaya Pasta and it was excellent. Paired it with a Spicy Mango Margherita that had the perfect kick to it. Very good! Sitting on the patio gives a great option for people watching and enjoying the ambiance of the plaza. If you're in the area and looking for a healthier option, I'd give True Food a try!

The food was clean and decent. Some improvements could be made. I had the dumplings and they could use more flavor. The steak was tough and the knife was dull. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was very loud, not exactly a peaceful place to eat.

The apps and refreshers drinks are good. We got the hangover one! I like the edamame dumplings. We did the order 2 combo. I didn’t love the Korean noodle bowl. It was so strong. Strong pickle or fish oil flavor

This was our first time trying True Food Kitchen. We visited the location in Scottsdale Quarter. The atmosphere was lovely. We dined outside on the patio where we could view the beautiful Christmas lighting and decor in the open mall area. The service was excellent from the beginning with the hostess all the way to the end. The food was not quite what we were expecting. I won't say it was bad, but I will say it was very bland and not anything special. We started with the fresh made sour dough focaccia bread and sweetened butter and that was delicious. I would say it was the best part of the dinner. I ordered the air fried chicken strips and Mac n Cheese. My husband ordered the margherita pizza. We both like our food to have flavor, and other than the focaccia , nothing really had flavor. I had to ask for salt and pepper for the Mac n cheese. The Mac and cheese sauce was also not very creamy / saucey. It was primarily noodles with some chunks of sauce adhering to the noodles. The chicken strips were also fairly bland, but juicy and tasted fine dipped in the BBQ sauce. The BBQ sauce was slightly sweet and had a great flavor. My husband did not like his pizza as it also was very bland and the dough wasn't traditional Neapolitan style pizza dough (we are used to Bianco's and Cibos restaurants that specialize in this type of pizza). I realize people have different palets, but the lack of flavor / seasoning did not make this a place we would return to.

I only eat here because it’s clean ingredients other than that food is not cooked well it’s inconsistent every time I’ve gone over priced. Pizza wasn’t good. Drinks are OK chicken tenders. I’ve had them once second and third time they were bad

We waited 35 mins for a seat. The hostess sat us directly in the sunlight. There were many other tables available not in the direct sun...even with skipping tables due to COVID. Not happy about this. Waited a long period of time for wait staff as well. Maybe it seemed longer than it was because I was sweating and getting sunburned while waiting. Idk I can say the cocktails were very tasty and so was the amazing roasted cauliflower appetizer. Da Bomb! My salad was okay. So was my husband’s turkey burger. I don’t think I’ll return as service was lacking and our seating sucked. Many other restaurants in the area to choose from... I’ll roll the dice.

Decided to visit True Foods since I purchased a gift card and because of its high Google ratings. However I was very disappointed regarding the quality and value of my order. Visited today and ordered the kids cheeseburger and blueberry pancake. The burger was overcooked, dry and tasteless. In addition they left out the carrots and hummus so I had to revisit the store a second time to obtain them. The pancake was just tossed in a box on top of the cardboard with nothing below it. That also was very dry, however this was undercooked and had a bad aftertaste. Service was ok but the quality and value was lacking. Suggestion :Always check and verify your takeout order before leaving.

G
Gabriella Rus-Neacsu

We had a vegetarian meal. The food was tasteless and expensive. I would never eat there again. The server was kind. The place was cozy. But the food? Horrible No flavor

D
Deirdre Cebry

Don’t know whether I hit this place on an off day, but found the food very disappointing. Eaten here multiple times prior and always left happy. Last week it sure looked like the pizza had shrunk and had nothing on it - as well as no flavor. Maybe will try again at another time but not sure.

M
Meredith Schild

The butternut squash pizza was amazing but everything else we ordered was not good at all. The Chinese chicken a salad was dry and tasteless. The "air fried crispy chicken tenders were very soggy and super greasy. We will not be back. There are plenty of amazing restaurants in the area.

L
Lynda Cook

Was really dissatisfied with our meals. The cauliflower app was good 6/10. However, presented super sloppily, funky plate, large not appetizer size chunks. The ancient grain bowl was flavorful 3/10 but did not highlight the flavors described in the menu & again came on a fairly dirty looking plate. Chefs didn't bother to wipe the plate for a clean look I did it myself for an "insta worthy". My friends pasta also looked sloppy & she wasn't impressed either. Our server was OK but definitely not great, no table touch or refills on drinks & had the audacity, after non existent service, to ask my friend if she needed change in a situation that her not getting change would have left an 85% tip, which was just unprofessional at best. Definitely would not return.

This has been my favorite restaurant since they opened a San Diego location like 15 or so years ago and since living in Scottsdale and going to the Kierland location it has remained tried and true. Until about 6 months ago. It has totally gone downhill. I’ve been 5 or 6 different times since Sept. and each and every time both the food and the service has been disappointing. Once I got the burger that normally has mushrooms, arugula and a sauce and it came with nothing but the meat patty. Another time I got the Glass noodle bowl and the tulsi tea and the noodles came without any veggies and when I asked my server she said “oh that’s probably because we are out, but I’ll check” and that same order I got the tulsi tea and it only came with hot water and the tea bag but for the past years and years I’ve ordered it, it comes with lemon and ginger juice and a lemon in the cup and when I asked this time about it, they said they made it the way they always do. I’m so sad because it was so good and consistent for so long and now I’m not sure I’ll go back.

I don’t write reviews often, but today’s experience felt worth sharing. I met my mom at True Food Kitchen in Scottsdale Quarter for a rare mother–daughter lunch — something we haven’t been able to do in years with my two young kids at home. We were genuinely looking forward to a relaxed, special afternoon together. When we checked in, we politely asked if we could sit at one of the high-top tables in a quieter area. The hostess who seated us said it would be about a 15-minute wait and offered to take our phone number so we could browse nearby shops while we waited. Perfect — or so we thought. A few minutes later, another hostess told us we needed to stand back in line. When I explained what we had just been told, she dismissed it and said, “You didn’t want your table — you have to get back in line.” Her tone was curt, inflexible, and frankly surprising given the hospitality standard I’ve typically associated with this brand. There was no attempt to clarify, no ownership of the confusion, and no effort to make the situation right. At that point, we chose to leave. Just a short walk away, we went to Culinary Dropout — and the difference was immediate. The team was warm, accommodating, and genuinely welcoming. It completely reset our afternoon and reminded me how powerful great service can be. Hospitality isn’t complicated: it’s about making people feel seen and valued. Unfortunately, today’s interaction at True Food Kitchen did the opposite. There are too many restaurants that understand customer experience to spend time somewhere that doesn’t. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, because a single frontline interaction can shape whether a guest returns — or doesn’t.

Was once high quality but have noticed a decline in the past year. I frequently order the to go sides from this location but the past few orders have been disappointing. The past three times the hot food has been cold and this most recent time was the worst. I ordered a side of beef like I normally do and it was not only cold but it was full of fatty pieces and I didn’t even get full steak pieces it was like crumbs.

We’ve been going to True Food for 10 years because it was always a reliable balance of price and quality. But everything has changed this year. And believe me, after a decade of dining here, I can confidently say that. First of all, we stopped dining in at the restaurant because just getting a server to come take our order takes 20–25 minutes. Then, waiting for the food has become unbearable — last time we had to ask for it to be packed to-go because it was taking too long, even though we still left a tip. Because of that, we started ordering through Uber Eats. There were always minor issues — like an overly greasy sauce or burnt edges on the pizza — but we tried to overlook them because we were used to this restaurant. However, today was the final straw. I ordered delivery for my kids, and the Kids Chicken Teriyaki Bowl was absolutely awful. Do you even clean your grill? The food absorbed all the leftover grime from it — the smell and appearance were disgusting. Knowing this dish is meant for children, it’s shocking that no one considered how unsafe it is. A child could get seriously sick from food like that. The Phoenix location still seems to maintain a decent standard, but the Scottsdale location has gone downhill. Last time, the edamame dumplings were overcooked, and the hummus wasn’t what it used to be. I’ve noticed that when the manager is present, the team works well. But the moment the manager is gone, both the servers and kitchen staff seem uninterested in doing their job. You seriously need to reconsider who you have working there.
