Best fresh handmade bread and olive tapenade! Food is very authentic. Wish there was one in So. Orange County! We'll be back again and again. We stayed in Carmel for a week and ate here twice!
Gusto Handcrafted Pasta is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere and the aroma of fresh, homemade pasta. The quality and craftsmanship in every dish are undeniable—each bite is bursting with rich, authentic flavors. The pasta is perfectly cooked, the sauces are well-balanced, and the ingredients taste incredibly fresh. The service is just as impressive as the food. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about what they do, making excellent recommendations and ensuring an outstanding dining experience. Whether you're a pasta lover or just looking for an exceptional meal, Gusto is the place to go. I can't wait to return and try more from their menu. Highly recommend!
Expected your typical Italian-inspired food, bur was very pleasantly surprised with genuine Italian food. Staff was extremely friendly and were even really kind to my children. This will be our new go-to whenever we visit town! Shout out to Alex and Steven for giving us fabulous service, you two were the best!
Casual place with great service and food. I’ve had the pasta and the pizzas and they’re phenomenal. Recommend the ravioli. Top notch.
Food was amazing and service was too. Our server, Diego, was very polite and accommodating. The restaurant was quite loud but thats to be expected from a restaurant that everyone is enjoying themselves at. 10/10 would eat again.
The food tasted delicious and “really” Italian, portion size is Almost American though. I loved the fresh bread and olive dip they serve as appetizer. I ordered the Linguine frutti die mare. Everything was cooked well to perfection but not overcooked. Linguine was “al dente” as you would get in Italy and the taste was great. Service was ok, they charge for Club soda but I’m ok with it. I will definitely go back, excited to taste their wood oven pizzas. Definitely a 5 star.
Best family Pizza joint in Monterey. Love the Big Wheel
The food was delicious and our server, Steven, was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and area.
Fantastic food. We had the Funghi pizza and the Mushroom Ravioli! Absolutely incredible! The bread and bruschetta mix was also sooooo good.
If I was driving down the street, I would’ve drove right by it and never thought about stopping. Was staying at the hotel next-door. Read the reviews online and they were true. The service was phenomenal and the food was just as good. Calamari with some of the best I’ve ever had in the short rib was super tender and full of flavor.
After 2 years since my last visit, things have only gotten better. Excellent traditional thin crust pizzas, fantastic wine, and the latte qas exceptionally made with Danesi coffee. I even got a free taste of a wine they had laying around that they weren't selling. Love this place to pieces, I will always come back when I visit.
We’ve been passing by this place for some time and finally decided to stop. When you walk in, it has a very casual kind of feel, but don’t let that fool you. The waiters are top notch with customer service, and make you feel like you are in an upscale restaurant. And the food is absolutely amazing. Perfect blend of spices and herbs and the meat is prepared to just a wonderful amount of tenderness and there’s not a bunch of chewy fat in it, like you sometimes get at other places. Just absolutely delicious.
SO GOOD! We ordered a few things and all were fantastic. We were there for the Big Sur marathon so everything we chose was very carb heavy which was perfect for what we needed. The garlic bread was fantastic. Their normal bread is great as well. Entrees delicious the cannoli… highly recommend. Love!
Food was soon good! I had the spaghetti and lentils and it was delicious. We went with a party of six with reservations. The service was excellent.
In the area I've tried pizza at: La Bicyclette in Carmel, La Luna (also Carmel), Folktale Vineyards (Carmel valley), Vesuvio (also in Carmel). GUSTO BLOWS THEM ALL AWAY. If you want real, chewy, crisp good pizza, this is the spot. Not a *cute* neighborhood like Carmel, but the pizza is stellar.
I will surely call this place a hidden gem for travelers driving to Carmel by the sea. We were starving, and thanks to Yelp, we found this place. We checked reviews and photos, which made us even more hungry. We were seated where we had requested, and it was a hot day, so I immediately ordered cold water with lemon. Then I looked around and saw a few people who had ordered late lunch like us. The service was terrific, and Vanessa was very polite and efficient. Food came fast, and we loved this place more and more. This place is in Sand City, very close to the freeway, and has its parking area. Food was served fresh and hot, and the presentation was fascinating. I highly recommend it and would love to visit again while driving south of the town. Try it, and I am sure you will love going back. Thanks, Team of Gusto” Chao
Everything about this place is amazing! The food is to die for so delicious, the garlic bread melts in your mouth it is amazing here! I am so glad I found this Gem in Monterey and the best thing is that it is not by the aquarium which is completely crowded! Everything is so fresh and delicious!
This restaurant leaves other places on the Monterey peninsula in the dust. In the little town of Seaside, Gusto is serving up excellent Italian food, authentic in taste, with top-notch service. The wine list has a wonderful selection of California and Italian wines and our dessert and coffee after our dinner topped off this wonderful meal. A special nod to the staff, whose attentiveness was a constant and whose totally warm and professional manner was exceptional. Do yourself a favor, skip the restaurants in Monterey and Carmel and come check this Seaside gem out. Plenty of free parking too!
Nice little pasta & pizza shop in Seaside, CA. We got there right as they opened, with the delightful smell of wood fire pizza leading the way. Staff was on top of it, service was good. Food was excellent. There was a steady stream of people coming in, which showed it was a popular place with the locals.
I'm not sure why people complain here. I got great service by the bartender. He was a great upseller. He got us to enjoy the garlic bread, as well as some drinks. I tried the spaghetti with meatballs, and the meatballs were so soft and delicious. My wife got the shrimp scampi with the noodles. It was nice with a touch of spice. For dessert, we had the afogatto and canoli. Everything was good, flavorful, service on point, I can't complain. Easy 5 stars for me.
There's not other way to put it, but Gusto's was simply amazing (will say amazing a lot in this review). The bread was nicely warm and paired very nicely with the provided tapenade. The clam chowder was oh so creamy and smooth. Not an ounce of grittiness at all, the clam cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. I paired it with the bread provided and it added an element to the already flavorful chowder. My wife ordered the chicken parmigiana and the sauce paired very nicely with the chicken and the hand made noodles (which were amazing!). I had the artichoke ravioli, and I decided to add shrimp to it as an extra add on. The raviolis were the best I have ever tasted hands down anywhere. The cream sauce, cheese and the very smooth texture of the perfectly cooked ravioli was out of this world. Even though the shrimp was an add on, the seasoning and flavor of it paired perfectly with the ravioli. This was hands down the best dish I have had in a long time (and probably the best pasta dish I have ever had). Definitely will come back here whenever we vacation in Monterey. A must try place as they have tantalizing, mouthwatering looking pizza and calamari.
This food was excellent!!!! Got a surprise pumpkin for making a reservation. The risotto in it was delicious. Pizzas were delicious and plenty. One pizza could be shared between two people we had lots of left overs we took home. And to top it off we had the lava cake. We celebrated our engagement here and definitely will return :).
The outside is deceiving because it looks like a coffee shop, however the inside is beautiful and upscale. The food is even better! Everything we had from apps to entrees to desserts was full of their own distinct flicker and presentation. All 5 of us had a different dish which we all loved. Full bar, fresh pasta to take home, high and low tables, full of energy. The owner was very accommodating and detailed. You definitely should try this place out!
We don't come in often, but we love dining at Gusto's. We came in today at opening and enjoyed cocktails, appetizers, and dinner during Happy Hour. We shared the garlic bread with marinara sauce and the caesar salad. For dinner, husband ordered the chicken parmesan, and I ordered the beef short ribs with rosemary mashed potatoes. Yum! We've never had a bad meal here.
We absolutely loved this place. We loved it so much that we went back for lunch the next day. My wife had their burger and let me tell you that it was AWESOME! The meat was so juicy and perfectly cooked. I had their meatball sandwich...they make their meatballs homemade and from scratch (everything here seems fresh and from scratch btw). They tasted like my grandma's homemade meatball recipe from Italy. They were absolutely wonderful. The pics are from both dinner and lunch. Oh, and their coffee is sooooo good. The owner has the beans imported from Italy and is a connoisseur of coffee. We loved the coffee so much we asked him to sell us a whole pack of the beans.
I wish we found this place when we first arrived. We did not dine in and ordered a pizza to bring back to our hotel on recommendation from the front desk. I think we had enough fancy dining and just wanted something comforting. We ordered a small margarita pizza to share on our hotel patio. We live in south Jersey where good pizza is on every corner. This pizza was excellent. There isn’t much to say other than the server was friendly, gave us plates to take with us and the pizza was hot when we picked it up.
Gustos is a great place to go to for great food and a friendly atmosphere We ate indoors with plenty of elbow space. Our server Destiny was very friendly with a great service and attitude. She told us about the happy hour specials that was perfect for drinks and appetizers. We started with crab cakes and a margarita pizza then move onto Chicken Parmigiano and a 4 hour braised short ribs and for dessert we shared an order of cannoli and Panna Cotta. It was a delightful experience and the most delicious meal. We will definitely be back also definitely recommend friends and family members to come and enjoy.
Great service and very tasty food. Very attentive staff. We had pizza burritos e prosciutto, and it was superb. Definitely want to come back. Try their Italian limonata drinks.
We stayed in town two nights and we came here twice.... First night, I ordered some special that I shouldn't (short rib BBQ), but my wife liked her orders. The desserts were great, so it would have been a 4-star. I'd have came back here for the desserts alone... But then Second night, we had an early dinner in Monterey and got hungry later. Since we stayed a block away, we decided to go for the pizzas with my brother and his Italian American girlfriend. She was in love with everything we ordered and said that the tiramisu is just like the one her mom makes. I'm not picky, but I think that deserved a 5-star :)
This was the second time I've been here. The first time we found it because it was next door to our Motel. It is in a old maybe Denny's building but is very nice inside. The food was amazing the best chicken parmesan I've ever had. The chicken was moist and tender. The noodles and tomato sauce were amazing. It is a must stop next time I'm in the area.
2nd time here and the food is as good as the first time. We drove from San Francisco for Valentine’s just so we can eat here and did not disappoint! The octopus appetizer literally was like butter! Never had any like it before! Super Yummy! Update- came down again 2/10/24 and food is still amazing! Had the eggplant parm and custard for dessert and it was delicious! 😋
After checking in to our hotel, we asked the person at the desk to recommend a good place to eat. One of them was Gusto and he added that it was right next door. I have to admit, from the sign in the parking lot, I felt that they were probably a cheesy, fast food type of "Italian" restaurant. Boy was I wrong! Even though the place was virtually empty @ 1:30p, (usually a bad sign), we decided to stay. We were greeted warmly and seated quickly. Our waitress introduced herself and was very pleasant. The menu seemed a bit "scattered", like they aren't sure who they want to be. However, my bf wanted a burger, (they put stuff on the I'm to try to make it "Italian"), and they had one. I wanted TRUE/AUTHENTIC Italian, but feared I wouldn't get it there. (My test is Linguine Carbonara. Most restaurants don't make it. And even when they do, they cheap out and use things like ham or bacon, instead of the authentic pancetta or guanciale). I took a deep breath and ordered it. Our order was placed and our complimentary bread, olive oil and balsamic arrived. She also brought us their Olive Tapenade. OMG! The Tapenade was EVERYTHING! A bit later, our food showed up. The burger was Huge and a pile of perfectly cooked fries came with it. My Carbonara arrived with an Egg yolk on top and the waitress tossed it in to the pasta! SO authentic. Well, it was love at first bite!! The pasta was CLEARLY homemade and had that tell-tale bite to it! My bf tried it, after hearing me moan, LOL, and then wished he had ordered it. Although he loved his burger, he removed the Arugula though, as he felt it overwhelmed the flavors. We left stuffed and happy that we found a new restaurant to go to, when in Seaside! (PS., they have freshly made pasta, Burrata and other things for sale in their cold case).
Took the family out for dinner, and was absolutely blown away by the friendly servers and amazing food. The pasta and sauces are made in house at this family restaurant. When I saw this place packed with customers an hour before closing, I knew I picked the right spot. They did not disappoint in any way. The lasagna and the truffle artichoke ravioli were mouthwatering.
We rolled into Gustos on a Sunday looking for an easy family win and walked out feeling like we’d found a keeper. The service was warm and effortless, the kind that makes you relax before the first bite. I always start with the fundamentals. Margherita pizza and spaghetti marinara. Simple on paper, brutal to do well. Gustos does them beautifully. The crust is crisp with that wood fired blister, the tomato tastes clean and bright, and the cheese lands rich without turning heavy. The spaghetti has real snap and the marinara is honest and lively, not sugary, not muddled, just right. Everything came out on point and consistent, like a kitchen that respects the basics and has nothing to prove. We left smiling, fed, and already planning the return. Thanks for a great night for my wife and kids.
I don't usually take the time to leave a review on restaurants but this time I can't help but share the very pleasant moment I had during dinner, a waitress who made me feel very comfortable and from the start to the end of my meal this woman was very friendly and smiling, without forgetting the meal which was a real pleasure as well as the dessert, a tiramitsu as generous as it was tasty. The prices are well worth as much for the quality of the dish as the very pleasant service.👍
We had an absolutely amazing experience at Gusto Handcrafted Pasta and Pizza! Our server Destiny was fantastic — friendly, attentive, and made sure everything came out perfectly. The food was exceptional from start to finish. We started with the focaccia bread with tapenade, garlic bread, and bruschetta — all fresh and full of flavor. The Diavola and Funghi pizzas were incredible, perfectly crisp and loaded with authentic ingredients. The Ravioli Funghi was rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. And the tiramisu — absolutely to die for! One of the best we’ve ever had. Highly recommend this spot for anyone who loves authentic Italian food and great service. Destiny made our evening even better — thank you for such a memorable dining experience!
Good service and quality good. Pizza was made well, we did ask for the pizza to made well done or crispy to ensure the crust on the bottom was crispy to our satisfaction. And the lasagna was delicious. You can tell it was fresh made pasta. Service was excellent as well. Plenty of parking in the back. They also have 1 gluten free pasta option .
We found this place on Google maps as we searched for a restaurant to celebrate a birthday on a Thursday night. We arrived at 7:30pm and were seated right away. From the moment we tasted the complimentary bread and oil spread "tapenade" we were hooked! We ordered a Pepperoni Pizza and the Fetuccine Mari e Monti to share, and it all tasted delicious. However, our absolute favorite was the Fried Calamari, best one we've ever had! We also had classic Italian drinks, a Peroni beer and a red wine Gabbiano Cavaliere, so smooth and satisfying. We ended the night with a unique soft bread dessert called Budino served with a side of salted caramel ice cream, the perfect combination! As mentioned by our waitress Destinee, who was very sweet and attentive, this place is the "secret treasure of Seaside".
Authentic Carbonara! Now, if only they offered a Cacio e Pepe. The Butternut Squash Ravioli was a little sweet for my taste, seemed to throw off the balance a bit - but expertly prepared and delicious nonetheless. A beautiful tiramisu - made in-house.. Fine dining in a nearly casual atmosphere. Reasonably priced, wonderfully made, Italian fare. My only disappointment was the lack of an Insalata Caprese. Mangiamo!
We tried this place for the first time bc of the Google reviews. From the outside of the building, I would have never imagined this gem was inside. I wish this town did more to attract customers from the outside of the buildings. The food was outstanding, so was the service. Our daughter had the most fun watching the pizza being thrown in the air and put in and out of the wood fire oven. My husband and I will definitely be back and probably come to check out the live music.
After reading positive reviews, we decided to try Gusto's for dinner. We got there right when the restaurant opened and the place filled up quickly. The wait staff were very friendly and helpful with recommendations. The service was quick and I never had to ask for a refill on my drink, they were very attentive and ensured we always had full glasses. Everyone is my party of 3 enjoyed their food. The bread provided before the meal was delicious and the pasta dishes were great. I personally liked their pasta sauce because it wasn't so spicy, but that's my preference.
Great, little family owned Italian restaurant. Staff was really friendly, welcoming and prompt. Garlic bread and house bread were warm and delish. Olive tapenade was amazing. Pizza is wood fired oven and made to order. I had the saffron parpadelle and we also had rigatoni Bolognese. Pasta was fresh and very good as were the sauces. I'd recommend! Also, eight beers on draft, wine and full bar.
Every aspect of our dinner was fantastic! 12 guests and everyone loved their drinks and their food! The restaurant staff was very accommodating of our late-booked and large party. From appetizers to pasta to fish, the dinner was superb. The restaurant is quite small so be sure to call ahead and make a reservation. Also, do not be put off by the fact that it looks like took over an old Perkos or Denny’s. This is definitely a case of “don’t judge a book by its cover.” Service was great starting with drinks at the bar all the way through dinner.
Great place for Italian food. Pastas are fresh and delicious across the board. Service was outstanding.
Came here for lunch but had a mix of dinner menu and lunch. The meatball sandwich was large but flavorful (not just filler). The spaghetti was touch and go as mine was overdone but my buddy had perfect aldente. All in all, on the better side of Italian in the bay - can’t beat the Nutella pizza finish!
Ya know how you get hungry after work and there’s zero food at home? Yeah. That was me today. Where to go… Gusto! My first time here. A little pricey. The atmosphere reminds me of a not-too-busy early evening restaurant on the North End in Boston. Italian national waited on me, a lil rough on the outside, a true Italian! The other customers were locals. My wine is Windy Oaks Pinot Noir. The bread is homemade and is served with a nosh of olive oil, chopped olives, sun dried tomatoes and possibly garlic. Super yum. After staring at the menu undecidedly, I ordered a staple of Italian cuisine, the chicken parmagiana with spaghetti alfredo. Fantastic combination. The pasta is undoubtedly homemade, but it was somewhat sticky. The parm was crispy but tender, perfectly cooked. Nothing here is premade. Was it as good as the North End? It was close. Do I recommend it? Yes. Will I come back? Yes. Bon appetit!
Authentic. Delicious. Busy. Some of our pasta was overcooked. But sauces were very flavorful. My veal pasta was fabulous. Overall it is Expensive, but shareable plates. Great place for a celebration or treat. Pizza was superb. Cannoli was very expensive for one small piece. I like that it is Italian flour and home made. Gluten-free available. We will visit again. Pictures; veal, Seafood, Tiramisu
Came in at 20:30, and this place was still busy. If that’s the case, it means something! Our server was very friendly and attentive. We ordered Bresaola pizza and Gusto’s lasagna. Bresaola pizza: it’s a thin crust pizza. It was appropriately seasoned meanly, it was not too salty or light in seasoning. It was not oily either. Gusto’s pizza: it is a little toward the salty side. However, was very favorable. Very moist, and was not over cooked! Current deal: *Yelp offered 7% cash back!*
good reasonably priced food. i was very sad they didn’t have the octopus dish i saw in the reviews. the spicy deep fried shrimp was tasty. the house made egg pasta was fresh and good - but a bit too much white wine so it tasted too tart. the shrimps in there were ok - i wish they were grilled instead for more flavors. the fresh pasta was the best part of the dish. it’s almost there! the pizza was good. live music was alright but cute to have. i’d come back here again.
Gusto has a nice charm to it. The place was cozy and the staff was super friendly. My husband and I enjoyed the wide variety on the menu and selected the gnocchi and the margharita pizza. In his own words, he didn't mean to eat the whole thing! It was that good. I enjoyed the gnocchi . They were soft and pillowy and the sauce super flavorful. We'll be back!
Went there for our anniversary dinner & I must say the service is exceptional! It was a last minute reservation and they still managed to make it special for us with a complimentary dessert - which btw was exceptionally delicious! Vegetarian Pizza was okay but their artichoke ravioli was oh-so-good!
Really enjoyed our meal at Gustos! Cesar salad was a little strong on the anchovy smell for my wife, but good for me. Pizza was good. Kid’s enjoyed their pasta dishes. The pappardelle shiort rib pasta was very good. Service was great
Came by with family and some friends while in town for the half marathon event. We had kids in our party and therefore decided to look for a nearby pizzeria. The place was packed and the parking lot was completely full. Service was prompt but the food took a really long time to arrive. The menu was extensive and everything looked delicious. We ordered 2 pizzas (burata and Carnivora), the proscuitto, linguine scampi, roasted pear salad and lasagne - all were really well done. Will definitely consider returning.
Sort of found this spot by accident after a long drive and since the reviews were decent decided to give it a try. It was satisfying and good. Somewhat disappointed based on the glowing reviews but it was fine. We tried pepperoni pizza and the beet salad. Maybe the pasta is better? But based on these two dishes, not great food. Pizza was good and satisfied our hunger but somewhat above average. Not amazing for us as some reviewers say. The beet salad we actually enjoyed a lot more. Much better than expected. Service was good. Bread and spread that comes with it was good. Since the pepperoni was a little salty for my taste i took some off and using some of the spread actually made it much better.
I ordered the carbonara, which was recommended by the server. I thought it was good but a little salty for my taste. My partner got the Alfredo, which I thought was better. The canoli is great. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and I feel like I got to taste some authentic Italian food while dining here.
Good food, good ambience! We had Eggplant parmigiana and Vegetarian pizza. Loved eggplant parmigiana, it tasted perfect. Pizza was good too just didn’t really liked eggplant on it Otherwise good food, do recommend it! Our server Destinee was very sweet and accommodating, loved meeting her!
We stopped at this place for lunch on our way to Big Sur. The place has excellent service and atmosphere. However I found the food to be okay, not great. We ordered the Artichoke Ravioli, Fungi Pizza(not sure if this is the correct name), Chicken parmigiana and affogato. I liked the Ravioli the most but it wasn't super delicious.
It's a nice place modern The focaccia was ok 3 stars and the dip was an olive oil tomato tapenade of some sort 3 stars The CARBONARA was not good 1 stars. I was so hopeful because if the egg yolk. The guancial was maybe old or rotten disgusting and overly salty. Not fresh. The sauce was also not good. My starving growing but picky teen could not finish his. I have had way better in Italy Unfortunately we ordered 2 so we did not have a good comparison to other pastas Pizza Diablo was GREAT. done if the vest we have ever had. The spicy calabrese was delicious. Wood fire. Crust perfect thinness. 5 stars Panna cotta. Custard milky with chocolate and raspberry sauce. And a few fresh blueberries and raspberry. 4 stars. Needs more sauce.
Portion size was smaller than I imagined. The sauce and meatballs are good. Ordered one order of pasta with meatballs, a side of meatballs and a side of bread. It’s more like the main course was bread with a side of pasta and meatballs. Just doesn’t justify 42.06 maybe ordering to-go isn’t the way to gusto.
My boyfriend and I have always came here for the Funghi Pizza, which is EXQUISITE. We were pleased to hear that they are now a Michelin recognized restaurant. We have since moved out of the Bay Area & decided to take a little road trip and revisit the place. This time I ordered the Carbonara and it was horrible, lacked flavor and tasted like bacon grease.
Nice atmosphere and great staff, but the food was not good. Two stars for the garlic bread and spaghetti, but the chicken parmigiana was a disaster. It was made with chicken thigh instead of breast, leaving the breading soggy. Easily the worst chicken parm I’ve had. I've honestly had better frozen chicken parm than this.
Hear me out... All their pastas and lasagnas have a Chef Boyardee taste, simply repackaged as family diner quality Italian food. I know they make their pizza dough and pastas in house; but there's just not enough flavor to go around. We were shocked considering their reviews on Yelp. But also, a lot of food is overrated in touristy areas so there's that. It's hard to get a lasagna I don't care for but theirs is overcooked noodle with barely any sauce. None of that hearty tomato flavor. Their noodles all tasted either overcooked (spaghetti) or undercooked and harder to chew (like the seafood pasta). The seafood pasta was super boring with no flavor. No mussels, clams, nada. Nothing stood out. Not the service, the food, nor the ambience. I do not recommend.
Its been a few Years since I Had Dinner Here. So I went again Recently Sat Down at table My Sweet Server Asked what I want to Drink I said a Coke. Then Came Back i ordered the Short Rib. When it Came I saw it was a Small Portion. $25 I’ve Had Bigger Portions For that. I take a Bite It Tasted Like a black Olive Flavor Never Had short ribs with a Bad Taste. It Came with Mashed Potatoes came cold and Veggies. For Dessert I had a Cannoli That Was Great.Never Going Back Sorry
Superb service that was attentive and showed team members helping each other, I really wanted to like this place ... until the pizza came. I am stumped. absolutely confused as to how wood fired pizza ends up as rubber crust. The wood fired pizza had blisters on the bottom but one bite and you were fighting an elastic battle. Superb ingredients and fresh topping flavors but the crust was terrible, No crisp, No crunch. The lack of wood fired burn blisters on the bottom make me think they pulled this out of the oven too early. I even lifted the pizza up to seek blisters and while there are some, the crust was lacking real texture. Pizza was $30 and I tipped $8. The service truly was exceptional but they missed their center skill with the crust. SMH
