Opinions de Ben Paris Seattle
Went here on a weekday for an early brunch. The ambience is modern and inviting. The wait staff are super friendly and quick to respond. We ordered a Hazelnut Latte, Ricotta Pancakes and the Baked Eggs. The Latte was surprisingly good. Ricotta Pancakes were so fluffy and tasty, we loved them. They're very subtly sweet and thats what made it even better. The Baked Eggs is basically Shakshuka with served with a Bread. It was so delicious, we ordered a side of Toast to eat with. The side of sourdough bread was toasted to perfection. They even brought with it some butter and jam that was great! Would definitely visit again!
Came here for the coffee and it did not disappoint. The ambience is relaxing and I love the decor, especially the wallpaper makes the whole place even more elegant. Would love to comeback and try their brunch menu.
Lovely decor and atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food. We were at Ben Paris for an early dinner after a day exploring the shorefront and market areas. Our waiter Edward was very friendly and helpful as were the other staff. The food was excellent and most of the dishes we ordered were portioned perfectly for a European appetite with the exception of the butter milk chicken and the carrot cake; both of which were delicious but large portions. Three vegetable pasta had fabulous flavour and the beef shortrib was incredibly tender. The chocolate torte is incredible.
Ben Paris is hands down one of the best spots in Seattle! Everything was flawless — the food, the vibe, the staff. Photos don’t do it justice. Get the chicken, fries, and hush puppies — thank me later. Open kitchen, great energy, absolute must-try!
What a cute and comfortable restaurant to have a relaxing morning in. Leather benches, marble tabletops, and lots of light make this a great place to enjoy coffee, breakfast, and brunch. The service was fast, and friendly, and attentive. Everything we ordered was fresh and well balanced, not too heavy or salty but still flavorful. I would go again and I recommend this restaurant.
While staying at the state for my birthday, we decided to go to Ben Paris for dinner. After scanning the menu briefly, I was sure there was nothing I could eat due to my autistic taste buds and texture issues. However, the waiter was super helpful, and we ended up altering the vegetable pasta to my liking. The waiter was very attentive and accommodating, and the cooks did an outstanding job on the meal, even adding cauliflower due to a request. The atmosphere here is also amazing, very west coast fancy, and offers a wide variety of seating arrangements with plenty of room to be in your own little bubble. Overall, the service here is amazing, the menu offers excellent food, and very flexible and accommodating staff. I would highly recommend this to anyone and everyone in the area :) --Lucy A
I discovered this amazing restaurants during a layover in Seattle and honestly this place is absolutely amazing. The staff is lovely they’re pretty welcoming and the food was delicious. I was surprised that the pancakes were amazing because I’m not a fan of food in the States but this restaurant is really amazing in Seattle. I guess it must be the best one or one of the best probably. I would recommend and the breakfast is amazing !
Nestled in the heart of downtown Seattle, just a stone's throw from Pike Place Market, Ben Paris offers a delightful blend of classic American fare with an inventive, modern twist. This lively establishment, located within The State Hotel, has quickly become a local favorite for everything from bustling brunches to sophisticated dinners and a fantastic happy hour. From the moment you step inside, the ambiance at Ben Paris strikes a welcoming chord. The decor is a chic combination of industrial elements and warm, inviting touches, creating a space that feels both stylish and comfortable. High ceilings, large windows, and thoughtfully placed lighting contribute to an airy and bright atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed meal or a lively gathering. It's the kind of place where you can easily settle in and enjoy the energy of the city filtering through.
Went for breakfast and everything was presented beautifully and tasted even more delicious. Staff was friendly and helpful. Atmosphere was chill and relaxed.
Perfect place both for breakfast and dinner. Delicious foods with variety of drinks. Extremely friendly staffs.
We finally got out here and it has easily become a must go again for our family. We had dinner and recommend the curry clams, pork loin, and I especially loved the short rib. The bread is also to die for and I appreciated there was a different bread for the clams versus the appetizers, both were amazing! Ending with the s’mores and lemon mousse was the perfect choice. The cocktails are great if you’re an adventurous drinker, but for me we’re a little bold in flavor in a way I didn’t love. My wife loved them though so don’t let me sway you away from them! It was expensive, but so worth it, the portions were huge and the food tasted fantastic, great bang for your buck! Pictures of the dishes mentioned.
First time eating here. My wife has always wanted to check it out. She was always showing me photos from social media. I really enjoyed it! We were there for brunch and it was an hour wait. We decided to get on the list and walk around pikes place, which is one block over. The fries were perfect! Must have appetizer. We got three mixed drinks. One of which is a rift on a Manhattan. If you are a fan of this style of drink I recommend it. It was a mix between a Manhattan and a old fashioned since it was served on ice in a rocks glass. My wife got the eggs with mushrooms that she loved and I got the biscuit sandwich with the fennel sausage and a side of bacon. The biscuit was more filling than I expected! We both want to go back for an evening meal. Great decor ambiance. They have acoustic treatments on the high ceilings which helps a lot with the noise that you might expect from a high ceiling and hard floor room. Staff was attentive and prompt.
Amazing food near the world famous Pikes market! -Ricotta Pancakes 🥞 where to die for, highly recommend you get this !!! -Fried Chicken Sandwich 🥪 was amazing the pickle and peppers in it where not overwhelming and gave it great flavor and the fries where perfect did not need and ketchup. -Carnita Bowl 🥣 was good The meat had amazing flavor and overall was really good. I was pretty full by the time I started on it,but definitely recommend it.
Enjoyed our brunch at Ben Paris! Such a beautiful space with a great vibe. The brunch menu was a little smaller than expected but we both found things to enjoyed on it!! Absolutely amazing espresso martini, I will have to come back for next time.
A Must-Visit Spot in Seattle – Incredible Food, Vibes, and Service! I had to check out this spot during my trip to Seattle to see what all the hype was about—and it did not disappoint! I made a reservation and we were seated right away. I was with my two sisters and my brother-in-law, and we had such a great time. Let’s talk mocktails: I had The Kennedy Package and the Jessica Rabbit- OMG. So good! Everything we ordered was delicious. I went with the Ben Paris Breakfast, and let me just say… the potatoes are life. Seriously, they are so good, my sister asked how they were made. were Huge shoutout to Nico, Vera, and Justin for the top-notch service. I will definitely be coming back the next time I’m in town! I also love the fact, they were celebrating Pride!
The service is excellent. Food is delicious. Those ricotta pancakes are the best pancakes I've ever had. A must have for sure. Our waitress Sarah was extremely attentive and provided customer service that exceeded our expectations 🙏🏿👏🏿
Nice upscale place near the market, and I'm surprised they weren't busier for 5:30 dinner. Maybe the hordes of wackadoodle crazy people on the street outside keep patrons from visiting this part of town... The service and food was amazing! We got in just at the tail end of happy hour, and ordered the chef's tasting menu which is multiple courses of surprise items. Our server did an excellent job of conversing with us and bringing items we were sure to enjoy. Without going into great detail about each and every dish, I'll just say there were no complaints about any of them and everything tasted outstanding. My top favorites were the foccacia (OMG yummm) and hush puppies. The lavender marshmallows with the creme brulee are overpowering on their own, be sure to eat them with a bite of the other ingredients for best results.
Ben Paris in Seattle delivers with their incredible breakfast menu! Fluffy pancakes, crispy waffles, and eggs benedict that will make your taste buds dance. Don't even get me started on their coffee game! Cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and delicious eats... what more could you ask for? Breakfast perfection! 10/10 would recommend!
The best place to get any type of meal in Seattle. Lovely service and great atmosphere. They have a lot of drinks and food items to pick from. It was the best pancakes I’ve ever tried. I highly recommend this place and would come back.
Place was great very social. Our waitress was nice We didn’t wait long for very lucky since it was brunch hour. Ratings of the food we had look at the pictures
Loved visiting Ben Paris after roaming Pike Place Market in Seattle! While I would not whole-heartedly endorse the grilled vegetable dish (we had bok choy and it was exactly as described but not our fave), the truffle parmesan fries were out of this world! The fried chicken was divine as was the tres leches cake (omg!) and the affogoto too. Our server was fantastic -- attentive, friendly and helpful. The ambiance is French chic with marble bistro tables, open kitchen and full bar located on a windowed corner not far from the market. Glad we found this cute place to sit down after "getting our steps in" on a misty Seattle afternoon around town!
Super busy Saturday brunch, but well worth the wait. Conveniently located near the Symphony Light Rail station and they do accept reservations. Atmosphere was nice and elevated without being pretentious. Great food options: we ordered the truffle fires, the pancakes, the Ben Paris breakfast, an espresso martini and a grapefruit mimosa. Jakob, our server, was so sweet and knowledgeable. They made us feel welcomed and seen, but weren’t pushy or disturbing with the service. Loved the space to banter and sip while eating at a pace that didn’t make us feel over stuffed. Book a reservation early as this place is jumping, especially for brunch. Pike Place Market is right there so there are plenty of ways to kill time.
I had such a great experience at Ben Paris! Not only was the food absolutely incredible—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented—but the staff went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. I needed help with getting a missing receipt, and they handled it quickly and kindly without any hassle. It really showed how much they care about their guests. Between the delicious food, warm atmosphere, and outstanding service, I can’t recommend Ben Paris enough. I’ll definitely be coming back!
We went to Ben Paris for Sunday brunch without a reservation and luckily were able to get a table. Shortly after, others who came in without reservations were told there was no availability, so I definitely recommend making a reservation ahead of time! The food was delicious and beautifully done. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and gave great suggestions, which made the experience even better. Overall, it was a great brunch spot with a nice atmosphere and excellent service. We really enjoyed our visit and would absolutely come back.
I came here for breakfast the morning after a long flight, and it was exactly what I needed—absolutely delicious! The service was outstanding; the servers were attentive, respectful, and genuinely kind, which made the experience even better. This restaurant became a staple for me in Seattle, and I would definitely come back. The food tasted fresh and warm, and the atmosphere was clean, aesthetic, and very welcoming.
Stopped in here for a meal before a show and was very impressed with the food quality. We got several small plates to share-shrimp and grits, clam chowder, and a cauliflower dish-and loved all of it. The drinks and mocktails were also excellent. We would have ordered main dishes and more drinks, but our server was not very attentive and we had to go to the show. Despite that, the food was so good, we would return- but just with more time to spare.
Service and drinks were yummy! Good selection to choose from. Short rib pasta was savory and delicious. It was almost on the salty side but the homemade noodles helped. Scallop risotto was well made and scallops cooked perfectly. Fries were crispy and delicious. Cauliflower had great seasoning and a good bite. Beet salad was refreshing and a great side to the heavier dishes.
We found this place by chance and decided to go in. The dishes looked so good that we didn’t mind waiting 30 minutes for a table. In the meantime, we walked around the nearby shops at Pike Market and came back just in time to enjoy an amazing breakfast. We ordered the Ricotta Pancakes — you get two, served with a delicious cream — and the Ben Paris Breakfast, which included eggs cooked to your liking, toast with jam and butter, bacon, potatoes (my favorite part, I’d say), and a small yogurt parfait with cereal. We had espressos with the meal and later also ordered cappuccinos. We left feeling super full and satisfied — honestly, one dish could easily be shared between two people! Great service and a really well-located spot. Highly recommended.
Enjoyable establishment to eat when near Pikes Place Market. I ordered the King Salmon and thought it was great. I especially enjoyed the coleslaw as a base. Also ordered as an appetizer was the Fried Halloumi, which was good but I probably wouldn’t order again unless had more mouths to share with.
Very good Ambience and atmosphere. Service is pretty fast and the folks are very hospitable. The food options are also varied. However I would say the food is overpriced compared to the quantity of food. We ordered a couple of appetizers and dessert and they were pretty good. However the only downside was the quantity.
The entrance for the cafe is just opposite CVS unless you have a hotel card to enter the building. Service is great and the cafe is very nice to sit in, but the food is nothing out of the ordinary. The ricotta pancakes, while nice, came in a huge portion that gets a little too much after a while. The other hot items we ordered were a little on the salty side. Would still drop by if the place is empty as the coffee was quite decent.
Ben Paris has delicious food and an aesthetic/atmosphere that can best be described as cool. The service was very fast and attentive. Great drinks too! My only complaint would be that everything felt rushed because of the high volume of diners this restaurant gets. I didn’t feel like I was able to enjoy the vibes of the restaurant nor the food the way I’d normally like because you can’t help but feel rushed to leave for the next diner. That being said, the servers were great and the food is indeed good.
Only one guy working the floor with full house. Because he was handing the whole restaurant himself, the service was lacking. They need to hire more help for this one guy. Otherwise the food was okay. They have gluten free options and they were able to accommodate and replace dairy product one of their main course.
The food and service is pretty decent here! It can get very busy on the weekends for breakfast so I do recommend making a reservation. The cinnamon bun was nice and warm with cream cheese icing and had a good cinnamon flavor - it was a little dry (I prefer more goopy cinnamon buns) and it was burned to the bottom of the pan. The carrot cake had a lot of icing that I wish was not as oily and more flavorful. I enjoyed the burrata salad quite a bit as well as the yogurt parfait (it is plain Greek yogurt but the fruit and granola add the sweetness) and my husband enjoyed the avocado toast as well as the Yukon potatoes. Great decor, fun wallpaper, and staff was attentive.
Ben Paris was an amazing place to grab brunch at, allthough it's on the expensive side We ordered the Avocado Toast, Ricotta Pancakes and a side of fries with some drinks. The food was really amazing and fries were really crisp The avocado toast was slightly less seasoned but nothing a little salt and pepper couldn't fix. Really enjoyed the the pancakes as they were fluffy and light. The ricotta dressing was great too
Great little spot just steps away from pikes market. Kimchi Chicken sandwich was a bit different than I’m used to but I enjoyed it
The Fried Chicken Sandwich was packed with flavor, but I’d say it was a bit overpriced. What convinced me to try it was the combo of napa cabbage kimchi, pickled fresno chili, cucumber, and spicy mayo—it really brought everything together. Yuri was an awesome host, and I loved that we got to chat in español!
Such a visually appealing restaurant to match the colourfully eclectic hotel it’s situated in! The brunch menu is varied and includes many favorites. The food was good, especially the hash browns, which are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. However, I found my eggs and sausage to be too greasy as the eggs were sitting a puddle of oil. It was so heavy that I vomited shortly after I finished eating.
This is one of my favorite brunch and dinner places. However, I am disappointed they’ve replaced the delicious Mac’n cheese (that used to pair wonderfully with the buttermilk chicken) with salty collard greens. Please change it back, Chef! It was the best MCNCHZ in town!
Solid brunch near the Seattle Art museum in a welcoming and bright dining room. Ben Paris is exceptional for a hotel restaurant. They offer a number of interesting mixed drink options and offered solid brunch food. The service was excellent, attentive without being overbearing, and the waiter was very friendly with heroic tolerance for the so what’s your name from older members of our party. Overall an excellent experience that I look forward to repeat! Make a reservation if you’re taking a big group
The avocado toast was good but the bread could have been toasted more. Service was kind of slow - when the food came I had to ask 2 people for hot sauce + by the time it arrived, I had eaten half my food + it was cold. Atmosphere is nice, though. It’s definitely the kind of place where you’re paying for the location and ambience rather than the food.
We got there just before 6 and ordered nearly every happy hour item, and they did not disappoint, my favorite is probably the wagyu sliders and the fried chicken sandwich. I also ordered the grilled pork loin and it was bland and surrounded with cheap ingredients, not worth the value. The venue is clean and well decorated however the staff seemed uninterested and low energy. Overall this restaurant was ok, but I probably wouldn't come back anytime soon.
If you're looking for a sunday brunch spot downtown, I would look elsewhere. It was so busy that our experience suffered. I was in a party of 3 for sunday brunch at noon. We made a reservation ahead of time and the host said it would be about a 10 minute wait for a table to be ready. We ended up waiting 30 minutes. Once seated, we quickly ordered our food and drinks together and proceeded to wait another 30-40 minutes for our food to arrive. We noticed that all the food wasn't very hot-warm at best. My brother ordered the wagyu burger medium rare and the patty was well done. We suspect that the food was sitting under a heat lamp for a while. The ricotta pancakes were fluffy and tasted good with the vanilla englaise, but the bottom pancake had black char in several places, hidden by the top pancake. I ordered the smoked salmon omelet. It was a roll styled omlet where the middle was full of smoked salmon. Our server was nice but may have been overbooked because we only saw her a few times. At one point, she took our empty water bottle, but never came back with a refill. We had to ask a different staff member for one. Several other staff members helped out in serving us or we waved someone down when we needed something. All the tables were packed in, we as a group of 3 were seated at a small round table obviously meant for two. With maybe 6 inches of space away from the table next to us. It can get quite loud inside. Overall, I was a bit disappointed with the experience. Although the menu itself was good and the decor is nice, when it gets busy, everything suffers-from atmosphere, food quality, and service. Even when you try to prepare with a reservation, it can still mean a long wait. We understood that the timing was at the peak of service, but the experience still left us feeling meh about the whole thing and not likely to come back even during an off time. Pros: menu concept is sound, flavors were good, decor is unique to look at, close to pike place Cons: minimal service, long wait, lukewarm food, noisy, pricey.
The food was very salty. The service was slow. We ordered the burger. When the server brought the dish, he asked if we would like any condiments. We asked for ketchup. We never got the ketchup. Water was not replenished. Very minimalist restaurant.
This place was disappointing. I’m used to overpriced food in Seattle but it should at least taste good, or the service be exceptional. This place had neither. I don’t want to blame servers because the restaurant was understaffed. However, we waited over 25 min before we were seated and the place had free tables. More importantly the food was cold and so salty it was hard to eat. We got octopus and clam chowder to share. There is no photo of the soup because it was served 10 min after the octopus. The cocktails were good I have to say.
Sweet potato was unpilled and like from microwave. And grilled pork was tough and oversolted. I skipped dessert because I lost my hope in that place. But service was great and atmosphere on point. It is a definitely good place to have a drink
As soon as me and my friend walked through the door. We were greeted by a not-so-friendly staff. Who promptly showed us to our booth. Menu looked delicious and the food was absolutely fabulous! However, the amount of dirty looks we were getting from the servers and the hostess were a bit much. I don't thinking I've ever experienced that type of attitude in my life. Even as someone who works in the customer service industry. I'm sure we were dressed appropriately seeing as it was cold and we needed thicker jackets. We were very respectful and after talking amongst ourselves, we really couldn't see what the problem was. It was definitely not busy but seeing as the server had only come up once (minus when the food came) to give us the check. We felt very unwelcome. Mind you, my friend was facing me and I was facing the rest of the restaurant. The staff were more than happy to cator to the only other people in there which were a group of 6. All in all, replace the service staff you have that is very disrespectful. The food was amazing, but i wouldn't come back because of the service alone. I don't know if it was a bad day or if they didn't like that we were the only darker complexion customers in the restaurant but it was very sad to see such a great restaurant be represented by such poor staff.
I paid 47.82 for this meal not including tip. Even the small cup of juice is the corner. I had heard this place was good. Food was MID. Service was ok. I wouldn’t return.
I usually love this place for brunch, but this time I came for dinner by myself without a reservation, and the food was HORRIBLE. I had to wait about 15 minutes at the host stand before someone was able to seat me. The service was good, although they seemed a bit understaffed for a Sunday night. However, the most important part — the food — was objectively below average. I ordered a Caesar salad and a burger. For the price of the burger, which is $27, you’d expect at least a decent one, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. The patty was BURNT — I requested it medium rare. Did not think $27 would get me a BURNT burger. As for the Caesar salad, it tasted extremely lemony — I’d honestly call it a “lemon kale” salad before calling it a Caesar. Food disappointed. Especially, given the high price, food REALLY disappointed. Service was good. Vibes and cleanliness are good.
🚩🚩🚩WANT TO DROP $$$ FOR AN OVERPRICED AND WAY BELOW MEDIOCRE DISHES AND DRINKS??? LOOK NO MORE, THIS IS A PLACE TO BE FOLKS! THIS PLACE IS SOMETHING ELSE… OUT OF THIS WORLD! 🚀 🚩🚩🚩 WE SHOULD’VE JUST GONE TO LUDI’S… If we could turn back time, we should’ve chosen to line up at Ludi’s rather than to come in at this overpriced and disappointing place. If you want to waste your money and be disappointed, come to this place! Bonjour to you!🙂↕️ Decided to come in for brunch. The atmosphere was nice. But little did we know that we would be served with disappointment… Don’t get me wrong, our server was kind and all the staffs were nice, but do understand that this is mainly towards the dishes and drinks. They were royally disappointing… Oui Oui!!! This has got to be top notch and by far the worst and most overpriced brunch we’ve been to… We ordered 4 things total: Baked Eggs Shashuka, Black coffee, Ricotta Pancakes, and the star of the show, the one and only questionable and imposter “matcha” latte. 👏🏼 Two drinks and two dishes = $60+ total. The regular black coffee did not even taste good… That’s already a red flag about this place... 🚩 I should’ve just gotten up and left at that point… I would’ve been better off with a keurig coffee at the doctor’s office waiting area… 👀 and fret no more, let me introduce to you the stars of the show, and the most disappointing part of this experience were the “matcha” latte and the ricotta pancakes… 👏🏼 When the imposter “matcha” latte came, we were really confused as it straight up looked like just a cup of milk… The cup even said MOO! 🐮 The matcha latte looked or tasted NOTHING, I repeat, N-O-T-H-I-N-G like a matcha latte, instead it was just an expensive $7+ cup of milk. We wanted to complain, but we ended up just leaving it alone and not drinking it… Money wasted. Not sure what the barista was doing or how well they know their stuff, but there was ZERO taste of matcha and not even a hint of green color of matcha in the drink. It felt like ZERO effort was made into the drink. They need to rename the revise their menu… Instead of “matcha latte”, they could just say milk… The “matcha” latte was filled with disappointment. In fact, legend has it that Ben Paris is still figuring out what matcha is… This is embarrassing and offensive to the Japanese people. Imagine if they were to come in and order a matcha latte… But it’s actually just an overpriced cup of milk… And the ricotta pancakes were so undercooked that I was BATTER off without them. No pun cakes intended. There were barely any fruits as toppings. I must’ve missed the memo to come in with my own fruits… 🤔 Well there you have it folks, if you want to drop $$$ and be royally disappointed, come on in… 🙂↕️ I would like to thank you for the chance and opportunity of disappointment that you have served us through your dishes and drinks. Truly an unforgettable experience that once is enough! NEVER AGAIN. Au revoir! Merci, Ben Paris! 🤩
