First time visiting this place as a tourist with my family, and it honestly exceeded my expectations. The restaurant itself is really nice, and the service was excellent everything fresh and thoughtfully made. We had the cedar-plank salmon, mushroom risotto, and salmon chowder, and all three dishes were delicious. The salmon was perfectly cooked and taste so good. and you can tell it’s really fresh, The risotto is a top-notch dish, and the chowder had great flavor. Their crab cakes were a surprise favorite, and the truffle fries are a must-try. Overall, a great spot for visitors. Really good food, family vibe, and worth checking out if you’re in the area.

This place is a hidden gem! We absolutely loved everything we ordered the halibut was incredible and full of flavor. Our waitress was super sweet and suggested the halibut, and I’m so glad I tried it because it was truly delicious. The truffle fries were amazing perfectly cooked and paired with a delicious sauce and even the kids’ burger was a hit. Amazing food, great service, and such a pleasant surprise overall. If you are in downtown Seattle, go here!

Fresh start for Frolik that you won’t want to miss out on. We had the amazing opportunity to experience Frolik at the Motif in Seattle. Walking into the restaurant already set the tone for the night. Such a beautiful, inviting and classy feel from the start. We ended up with trying at least 6 different cocktails that all had different flavors that did not disappoint. We had a wide range of dishes from chicken to seafood. All of them leaving you wanting more. You can’t go wrong with any option on the menu. We ended with their lava cake type dessert that was the perfect amount of sweetness to finish the night. Our service all night was exceptional. Janice and Dan took care of us on the floor, never leaving us waiting for service. The bartender Tracy was incredible at creating the perfect balance of flavors. The food was top notch with their new head Chef Angel. He created the perfect menu using the seafood of Seattle and putting flavors together that you need to experience. We cant wait for the year round outdoor patio to open so we can enjoy the food and cocktails out there!

Stayed in the hotel and came down to enjoy a drink and some bites. The lemon tart was amazing I couldn’t get a picture! And the drinks were so good! Great recommendations from the bartender and conversation! Congratulations on the kiddo🫶🏽

We have had breakfast twice and have thoroughly enjoyed each meal. Stephen has been a great server and so friendly.

The food was very good. The prices were not too bad before they added the 20% service charge that only 5% goes to the staff and 15% goes to the hotel. The service was good. We had chips and salsa and Motif burgers.

Everything was fantastic! The burger was definitely in the top 5 burgers I’ve ever had, super flavorful, the fries were crisp but soft in the right way. We also got the turkey blt. Fresh think slices of turkey, generous amount of bacon, the veggies were fresh. The salad was also very fresh with house made ranch. Our server was very attentive even with all the tables he had. Polite, friendly, quick! I will definitely be back.

Very nice terrace bar! Located 5th floor, this bar/restaurant offers very nice views of downtown Seattle. We had a very good time watching sunset and enjoying draft beers. Sabrina who took our order was very nice and friendly. I will definitely come back!!!

Came here for a drink and some food and was not disappointed. The bartender, Chris I believe, was amazing! Had the Mule which tasted like pear and was great! We had both types of burgers as well! They took a second to come out but were worth it. The ambiance was great and I really enjoyed the look

Visited on a late Sunday evening and it was not very busy. My server Stephen was awesome - he was attentive and provided great conversation. I couldn't decide between two dishes, so I ordered more food than I should have, but went away full and satisfied. Basic smash burger was good - not quite sure about the the choice of American cheese, but overall it was a tasty burger and the bun was good quality. Fungi flatbread was a good combination of pesto and mushroom flavor - I think they should expand their selection of different flatbreads with other toppings, because it's a good quality crust and was prepared well.

Lets just say Michelle and her amazing smile is definitely one of the best servers I've ever hand. Vibe was immaculate and food was flavorful and plated beautifully.

A V I B E this place is literally the epitome of my perfect go to spot. Amazing drinks, great views, excellent atmosphere! It’s perfect for a date night, girls night out, night out with friends or coworkers or even a small party. The service wasn’t the best in my opinion unfortunately our server was extremely inattentive and we had to repeat our order to him multiple times since he kept forgetting. Aside from that i will definitely be revisiting this place especially for the cocktails. The only difficulty is parking but that’s no shocker given where it’s located. It’s not hard to find parking however it not the most ideal in my opinion

Restaurant with Patio is off 5th floor of hotel. We got reservations for the patio and it was a beautiful evening. Server very nice! Bill for 2 people who shared food (1 meal ea), had 2 drinks ea & dessert= $$$ - worth it! Drinks were great - unique refreshing - ordered patio punch & great brandino. Flatbread was unique with sweet potato. Mac n'cheese with just enough cheese and little crunchy. S'mores dessert perfect with the roasted marshmallows. View is the other buildings nearby, but it's a bit above the noise. Has light cover over some of the seats and some heating options when it's chilly. Inside looks swanky. Would visit again!

Able to accomodate us with our 3YO- had a few games to entertain guests. Service was good considering they were busy for happy hour, we were able to get our order in before it passed (within 10min). They do reservations, but if you leave before a table is required, they could possibly assist. Had the Hummus plate, great for snacking while enjoying a beer.

Loved this place! Great atmosphere & music. Wonderful service. Fun, creative drinks that weren’t too sweet. Nice food selection. I think the lettuce wraps would be better with a crunchy lettuce, but they had nice flavor.

The craft cocktails are unique and delicious. But the best was the kitchen and the food. Absolutely phenomenal and probably the best I've had in the PNW. From the salmon dinner to my morning toasted bagel with lox, cream cheese and pickled red onion, they knock it out of the park. Way to go!

Delicious! We had a bottle of the Pinot Noir with Brussels/Shishito Peppers and split the Frolic Burger (with extra fries obviously). Very good! Great service!

Every single person who helped us at our two visits were incredible. My friend will post a review for dinner so I’ll cover breakfast. We were sat quickly and the coffee came right on out which is obviously exactly what we needed. The coffee was good and strong which was another bonus. Mauricio helped us and was a gem. Both my friend and I loved our meals. I got the egg breakfast one and loved how crispy the potatoes were. The chicken sausages were also more flavourful than many I’ve had elsewhere. My friend got the vegan bowl but with real eggs and she also said it was great, especially the salsa verde. The chef brought our meals out and was also just a ray of sunshine. The outdoor patio looks beautiful although it was too windy when we went but if you can try it, I’d say go for it! I’d recommend the fungi flatbread which we had the previous day in case you want one. The espresso martini with baileys and the pink whale drink were also excellent.

Beautiful roof top bar on the 5th floor of the Motif hotel. They have a small food menu with mostly appetizers. There dinks are good and are on the spender side. But there view is pretty pleasant, there decor is cozy, there hamics are a nice touch, on top of it all they also have some nice pingpong tables. Overall it feels like a nice little esacpe to a cozy city oasis.

Edited because of owner response - the DJ is only on Tuesdays! This is a super great spot otherwise. Casual American spot serves typical small plates and meals on a quasi-rooftop deck. The music is way too loud. Two stars because the music was at 80+ dB between 5 and 6 PM, making conversation impossible. Would be much higher rated without the terrible club music so early. Drink, food, and service were excellent. Turn the music down.

Great restaurant on the 5th floor of the Motif hotel. Formerly Hyatt and now under Hilton Management. Both the restaurant and the hotel are gorgeous and have a friendly staff. Food was delicious. Super delicious.

Stopped in since our room wasn't ready yet. ATMOSPHERE: Self-serve cafe on the 5th floor of the hotel with bar, regular table and booth seating, and a cool outdoor deck with more seats and a faux ice & real fire bar which turns on after the sun goes down, as well as ping pong tables, shuffle boards, and a DJ. There's great views of the skyline. It reminds me of the newer Courtyard Marriott lobby lounge areas. FOOD & BEVERAGE: I didn't have anything but they sell breakfast items like eggs, pancakes, oats, waffles and all the beverages that accompany them. They also serve a few brunch & lunch items like burgers, salads, wraps & sandwiches. ODDITY: Come Friday night, the quaint, peaceful cafe comes to life with a high energy, young crowd.

Came at 3pm for happy hour on a rainy Friday and people did not start arriving till 6pm. It was perfect. We started out in the tent- it was cold. We were in the dining/ couch lounge area it was fabulous. Loved the vibes. Loved the service. Loved the quiet. The FROLIK BURGER IS EQUIVALENT TO A TASTIER BIG MAC... but better. All the happy hour items were greatly filling

Stayed at the adjoining hotel (Hilton Motif) and the mandatory destination fee included a $10 food credit and 2 drinks at Frolik. It was the first time our wine was served in a non-stemware glass! Had an appetizer of artichoke and smoked gouda dip with chips, which was tasty. The artichoke pieces in the dip added a nice texture. Also had the cheesecake dessert, which had a cappuccino sauce and crunchy caramel bits for the topping. We found Frolik to be a nice way to cap off a busy day or evening. It had a quiet ambience on a Sunday evening. Staff were friendly and attentive.

Frolik is a rooftop restaurant and bar in Seattle with a beautiful view of the city. The atmosphere is fun and vibrant, and there are plenty of things to do on the rooftop, such as playing cornhole, table shuffleboard, or just enjoying the views. The food is also good, with a variety of options to choose from. Overall, Frolik is a great place to visit with family and friends. Here are some key points from the review: Beautiful rooftop with great views. Fun and vibrant atmosphere. Plenty of things to do on the rooftop. Good food with a variety of options.

Lavender Haze - very aromatic - sweet and lightly sour Fungi Flatbread - good flatbread - very little mushroom

Not sure why I haven't reviewed this place. Been here many times before the pandemic. My friends arrange a gathering earlier today for their Tuesday tropical event day. It was super fun to revisit this bar. The price seems to increase a bit but overall pretty standard now a day with Seattle. The drinks are good, creative, and pretty but not strong. Great place for a group gathering. I like the fact that everyone just having fun and chilling. Friendly service but pretty slow. A service charge is included.

The drinks and the food was good, but the place lacked mood. They have such a nice terrace and can do so much with the space! For the price that I paid, the ambience didn't seem worth it and felt bland. I'd go here if I can't find reservations anywhere else or if I'm in a rush. They also kick you out in 90 mins (COVID rules).

We were able to go in without reservation on a Saturday at 8pm. Very cute hipster bar on the 5th floor in the Motif hotel (Hyatt). The restaurant had outside seating with a view. Downside is drinks are very expensive. I had 2 basic B's and my gf had a cute tequila drink that had dry ice in it but was not worth 68$ and that's without tip.

M
Marcus Chong

Average food with above average prices. Probably wouldn’t have eaten there if I didn’t stay at the Hilton. Even the $15 meal credits couldn’t make me want to make a second visit. Convenient if you need to eat and don’t want to leave the hotel. Elephant and Castle downstairs would be a better option.

The atmosphere at Frolik is amazing, and the space itself is really well done. The main reason we chose to come, though, was for the rooftop view to watch the sunset. Unfortunately, when we arrived we found out the rooftop was closed. I just wish this had been communicated on the website or somewhere ahead of time so expectations were clearer. Also, an automatic 20% gratuity is added to every bill, just sharing this for transparency. Overall, it’s a nice spot with great ambiance, but clearer communication would have helped the experience.

Ordered the lobster roll from the lunch menu and what a disappointment. I asked the server how much lobster is added to the dish and was told 1oz each roll. I was not aware it is a cold roll and it was shredded lobster. I was expecting chunks of lobster and this imitation lobster look alike showed up. It didn't even taste like lobster. See it for yourself in the picture attached. $28 + tax + mandatory 20% tip = approximately $37/$38 was not worth this. Order something else. Service was a bit slow, after I ordered I think I waited 15 -20 minutes.

S
Smevin Bravis

Very sleek feel to this place, with a great selection of liquor, knowledgeable bar staff, and surprisingly affordable options given that there is literally a menu exclusively for millionaires. Ultimately though, as far as rooftop bars go it was a bit underwhelming. The patio, view, and drinks themselves are pretty much just alright. There wasn't any real quality that made Frolik stand out to us, particularly with so many other local options.

D

Good atmosphere, service could be better. Bartenders are awesome, definitely try pink volcano drinks. Chips and dip are good as well as the baguette 🥖.

C
Carlos Santini

Just so everyone knows, the resturant charges a service fee that 85% goes to staff and 15% to the hotel. So when leaving a tip factor that in. Overall good enviroment and nice people.

K

i came in between lunch and dinner for a drink (and a late lunch/snack). the prosecco was good, a typical pour. the artichoke & gouda dip was good but was paired with crispy potato chips which i did not like very much. the hummus was delicious though. it’s a green bean/garbanzo hummus (which is why it’s green). it came with plenty of veggies and chips for dipping. overall, okay but would not go again as there are plenty of other better place for mezze

A "rooftop" bar on the 5th floor of the Motif hotel. I wish it was higher as the hotel goes up to the 20th floor and the surrounding buildings all tower over the bar. Still a nice view otherwise. The food and drinks were just ok. Service felt a bit rushed and inattentive.

S

Through the MOTIF hotel, enter the lobby where the masked hosts at the podium are super friendly and guide us to the elevator where we hop to the 5th floor rooftop. 5th floor??? All the way up there, huh? lol Upon entering, the dining room is empty, as they are only serving guests on the patio. COVID appropriate. There are social distancing standing spots. When we made reservations, they state there is a 90 minute turnover to accommodate other guests looking to enjoy a night out. Very fair! The gentleman host/ manager is very friendly (and masked) and proceeds to give the rundown of the rules, which are all very fair, and I appreciate his candor. Masks off while seated at the table, if you get up for any reason, masks on. Perfect. We have a high table in the middle next to the outer side. Table looks decent. My chair had the wobbles (before I had anything to drink guys... come on now). There is a digital menu to be scanned with your phone. The menus are a bit challenging to navigate, as you have to figure out where to search (and we were there well past happy hour). The food menu is in a separate area from the cocktail menu, making it less user friendly. Once figured out, we got a few drinks. Mine was a Seventy Five X I think, and one of my friends got the Frosé, which was just okay. To be honest, the view was lacking. A rooftop on the 5th floor?? All we saw were other buildings, no real view. Had a good look at Macy's though. They had a nice white wall on the opposite side with a fireplace, nice! And there was a long island in the middle of the patio with single bar seats around it, and a long firepit. Above us were colorful tarps, but with holes (not a good look). It seems that everyone up there was following the COVID rules which was good. The music selection was probably a mix of all songs from the 2000's. Really brought us back in time. Ha. After we received our food (portions are huge, but food is mediocre), it was awhile before we were able to round up our server multiple times. Luckily for us, we hadn't been out together in so long, that we weren't angry about much! Certainly overpriced for what you get, but without many other options, I can only assume they are making up for lost time.

The outside deck is pretty awesome but the service here is abysmal. I was there for 30 minutes and no one bothered to take my order or even offer me water. They were happy to help all the bros in big groups but apparently someone alone isn't a priority for the servers. The happy hour menu isn't anything to write home about. If you like the douchebag atmosphere you'll probably love it here.

The location of frolik is one of the best locations for a restaurant in Seattle. My wife and I went here for the food and movie night. The movie was great with a good screen location and great sound system. We really enjoyed it but our meal that consisted of fries, coffee, burger samplers, and a burger that tasted average all costed $58 with %20 default gratuity. It wasn't really worth the price but a cool spot to visit if your in Seattle.

J
Jeffrey Lyon

Bar and restaurant with a modern, upbeat atmosphere. There are couches and you can even play Wii. It seems like Frolik is even more popular than the Motif hotel where it resides. Removed 2 stars on account of the service. It's never been great but on my last visit it took at least 30 minutes to place a drink order.

This was one of the most disappointing hotel restaurant experiences I’ve had. The main entrée was shockingly small and poorly executed, the chicken came with just a few spiky carrots, and even the carrots were undercooked and hard to chew. Look at my photos - what kind of presentation is this? That thing was $45. For the price, this was completely unjustifiable, and they automatically charge 20% gratuity regardless of the group size. I would not return and would recommend avoiding this place unless you absolutely have no other option! So many red flags here. Also, they don’t even know how to split cards properly, only an even split is possible, nothing like putting $40 on one card and the rest on another. This should be basic by now; it’s 2026. Cleanliness: Pass Service: No Vibe: Pass Taste & Flavor: No Revisit intention: Absolutely No

On the website it says breakfast is $18 for continental and $32 for a buffet. When you get there it says $18 kids and $32 adults. The only thing different from a normal cheap hotel breakfast is that they had an omelette station. We didn’t want a big breakfast, so for a small plate of food for two people was $80. It’s a total scam for people staying at the hotel.

S
Spencer Imbleau

Waited 40 minutes for the smallest piece of Togo salmon and a drink. They came with Burnt Brussels sprouts and I paid a mandatory 20% service charge for Togo and they even asked for an additional tip. Stay away

N
Noel Tiongson

My wife and I came for drinks while waiting for the ferry. We just came from a show at the Paramount. She always wanted to go here. And what a disappointment. No lights. It was so dark. It looked closed. They only turned on 1 fired place. Our waiter forgot our drinks. We got it when we were done with our food. The ceasar Salad was terrible.

They sneak 20% service charges onto unsuspecting business patrons thinking they won't check. I was alone, at the bar, not in a party. I was a server/bartender for 10 years. I'm a great tipper but I check my receipts incase scummy places do stuff like this. This is a scummy place.

Hotel was great. Especially Travis at reception. Room was great. On the other hand, the Host at the restaurant ( did not get his name but it was around 5 pm on Friday April 18 ) delivered one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I stood in line waiting for a table with 8 others for 15 minutes while he went around chatting with seated diners and clearing tables. 15 minutes and never once acknowledged 9 people standing in line. When he finally did return to the host station he said he had run out of menu's and had to go back to print some more WHAT ?! Ran out of menu's ? Absurd. 10 minutes later he comes back and seats 2 parties in front of me and disappears again talking to people out on the deck. When he returns he says he can't seat me because he has to get caught up on the food orders and clean tables. I tell him I've been standing there for 20 minutes and ask him why I can't be seated at one of the 7 open tables or two seats at the bar and he replies because he has to get caught up on the food orders. I just walked past him and told I would seat myself and wait for a waitress, which I did. She delivered some of the best service I have had but that guy needs to find a different line of work. He has absolutely 0 concept of customer service. Ridiculous. And every other person in line said the same thing.

J
Joseph Welborn

My two kids and I had breakfast here, two waffles, a pancakes, and a cup of clack coffee. The food was good but it wasn't to dye for and definitely not worth $96. Come to find out when time to pay, they charge 20% on all checks for a service charge. I was shocked two kids and an adult could cost nearly $100 for breakfast. Go to the restaurant across the street, its not worth the price here.

S
Sam Uribe

Extremely disappointed and inconsistent service. I ate here five times during my stay with the hotel. Not until the last visit was I told about the discount for being a hotel guest, so that’s fun being over charged all week. Especially since it’s extremely overpriced. No one mentions the service charge either, which i noticed right a way. But not until speaking to other servers at other restaurants did they tell me that it should always be disclosed. Not here it’s not. Great brunch across the street.

S
Shadi Salahshoor

Expensive and low quality! This was by far the worst fillet mignon I’ve ever had. Dry, smelly and chewy with no flavor. They wait time for it was almost 30 minutes and it came out overcooked first time. I sent it back and asked for medium again adding another 20 minutes of waiting. They offered a free dessert for compensation of mistaake in cooking and wait but even the aecond time the steak tasted awful. 20% service charge for one person is ridiculous Save your money and go literally anywhere else. Don’t get fooled by the hotel’s free drink vouchers!
