Damn fine fried chicken. Certainly not the BEST fried chicken (I have opinions I will withhold here), but it is outstanding for the value alone.

This is a super ambiance and pristine ! Sebastopol needs this at The Barlow ! It should be teeming with youngsters and fits the bill for group events like graduations , holiday themes , and deals for seniors. Love the fire pits and the feeling of “real” .I dine out in SF and all over The Bay and beyond. This place needs to be marketed and promoted ! I had the bucket of fried chicken, and it was good for $24 you get mac & cheese, Brussels sprouts, and 1/2 a chicken - I pay for the same thing elsewhere for $35 - they are just getting started, so I'm looking forward to visiting again soon

Excellent food and a surprise for us. The Brussels Sprouts were outstanding, due to the bacon bits and the honey glaze, while retaining the crunch and crisp. Highly recommend this place if you're in the mood for a burger. Customer service was fast and use the pager system when your order is ready for dine in.

The food was great! I liked the burger so much, and was glad that it wasn’t cooked well done. The service was fast! I also liked that the space is huge, perfect for a group or events. Finally, the menu had tons of options beyond burgers and chicken, and the kale salad was well done. Happy that Sebastopol has another great option!

Absolutely the BEST chicken tenders I've ever had!! Real chicken, not processed, crispy breading, YUMMY!!! Also had crispy Brussels Sprouts with bacon, very delicious and great portion and price of only $7.50!!

We love the wine country burger! Sautéed mushrooms, fontina cheese, and a grass fed patty- amazing. The staff was friendly and the space is great. Their standard burgers- the classic and double robin are also delicious and classic. Give this place a chance, we were pleased with everything we had!

Our family enjoys the food and the old fashion decor. I can see why they bought the brand. Great vibes and thank goodness there is another restaurant in The Barlow. The Cobb Salad is refreshing and filling. The kids love the chicken.

Honestly this is good fried chicken. Not too heavy, good seasoning in the batter and good sides. The romesco dip is hella good. Especially with the brussels sprouts.

The fried chicken sandwiches were some of the best we’ve had, the Cobb salad was fresh and well-portioned, and the fries were great. The mac and cheese was underwhelming for the price, but everything else was fantastic. We’ll definitely be back!

Very small portion. Paying about double what you would pay at in n out for a burger and fries that are not as good.

Just use better oil and try to source locally and you would get 5 stars + the local community backing your business. As it is, this doesn’t fit Sebastopol.

I’ve been here a handful of times since they opened. The last time I went, this week, the food had gone way downhill. They got rid of two of the best salads you can buy in Sebastopol. The Caesar salad quality was noticeably worse. The chicken tenders were way overcooked and the quality of the chicken was poor. For a place that prides itself on good chicken. I was honestly quite surprised and how bad they were.

Went there on open and had takeout. 1) Forgot to add the fixings for the brussel sprouts 2) I asked no fixings on my Wine Country burger, but wanted to keep the sauce and they ended up forgetting the sauce after I had verified with the cashier that there would be sauce. 3) They almost forgot my 2nd burger. Takeaway: Food was decent, but the portion sizes were fairly small for the price in my opinion, to give you an idea I bought their onion rings and had about 6 rings. Burgers were about the same size as Shake Shack. Make sure to verify your takeout bags.

So happy to see a business which may thrive in this Barlow location. I went on the rainy Saturday evening between Christmas 2024 and New Year. It was not very busy but there was a steady trickle of customers. I ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger, regular fries and vanilla milkshake. Disappointed. Burger was cold, is it because all the toppings were cold? The tiny piece of bacon was fatty, no crispiness at all, fries were pale white and cool, vanilla shake was just a container of soft serve NOT a milk shake, although I did appreciate the whipped cream. I may go back to try something other than what I ordered on my first visit. The patio with the fire pits is a nice place to visit with friends.

2.5-3 stars. - ordered truffle fries, chicken sandwich, grilled cheese, and vanilla milkshake - fries are great but don’t spend the money for the truffle; it’s basically nonexistent. Pistachio romesco sauce is just straight up not good. - chicken sandwich is well cooked and crispy but sadly incredibly bland. even with bacon and pepper jack it is underwhelming - grilled cheese is some American cheese between bread, more flavorful than the chicken but it’s a low bar - shake was the standout and is worth ordering on its own - staff was nice and helpful with answering questions about menu Side note; when my partner went in to get our food he noticed that the owner/manager gave off….not good vibes and staff seemed to be nervous around them.

The food is ok but not great and def. Not for the price. $50 for a burger, fries, chicken sando, onion rings and two drinks (soda). The chicken in the sando was pretty good, but the rest of it was meh. Cold cheese, it was missing the ranch…it was not worth the money IMO. The onion rings, while I appreciate them being tossed in salt were again not worth the money. I think the issue with this place is the cost. The food is ok but for the price there is much better out there. My nephew said the burger was ok. I wouldn’t dine here in the future. It just isn’t worth $$$. The service was ok nothing to write home about, parking lot is small and the vibe is cute and nice outside sitting area.

In-and-out quality which is tasty....😋 but just not great on any level. If u want a chicken a Sandwhich go to lunch box for a truly epic one, craving a milkshake - screaming Mimi's for sure hands down winner......a great burger maybe....well we have soo many options to list....

Overpriced for what you get

A loooooong wait for mediocre food (burger & fries) and not one decent beer on tap. My hope was snuffed!

Just what Sonoma county needed, more mid overpriced fried chicken.

First time there. Staff members were awesome, it was clean and had great seating options (indoor & out). Chicken sandwich was good but the bun wasn’t big enough to accomodate the generous fixings which made it fall apart. Brussell sprouts were great. Onion rings were cold. Chicken strips breading was almost burnt & didn’t stick to the chicken (broke off in chunks). And we waited 45 min for the food.

Ordered a bacon cheeseburger, fries, small drink = $28 with tip. Burger was solid but indistinguishable from any other griddle burger place. It was good but nothing special. Tables were dirty despite staff milling about and a manager leaning against the wall. So here we are with just another $28 dollar cheeseburger spot that expects me to subsidize the low hourly wages they underpay their people by having me tip on a screen with zero service beyond taking my order only to sit at a greasy crumb covered table. Yeah, they can take this back to Chicago. On the atmosphere, they need to fix the sound system. It kept overloading the speakers and cutting out.

Been here three times now. The burger the first time had bread and butter pickles that did not go with the flavors at all, after that, the next two times...no pickles. Hmm. Odd all together. The sauce for the fries the first time was odd and definitely not romesco like advertised, any time after that just ketchup...the onion rings came with ranch...just obviously bottled ranch. Did not even try to make their own ranch(I have a recipe you can use if needed). In a town with Lunchbox and Psychic Pie you just can't have bottled ranch. Sorry. The brussels are good. Just good, but soggy with grease. Everything was cold all three times, even though we ate in and we picked it up at the counter, fresh. The Mac and cheese was a mush of overcooked noodles. I'm not sure what is going on with this place. The location is great, but the food is very subpar for the area. Hopefully it improves. Good luck.

Super disappointing. I was really looking forward to this place opening, who doesn’t love burgers and fried chicken? Unfortunately the food missed the mark. The fried chicken sandwich had absolutely no flavor to it. Like seriously season the chicken, use some salt at least. I will be going back to try the burger and see what that’s all about. If it’s anything like the chicken sandwich, it will be the last time I go in there. Onion rings were very good.

I went to Cock Robin on Friday, Feb 7 for lunch and ordered the Portobello Burger. The sandwich was advertised as Portobello mushroom with lettuce, tomato, aioli etc. What I received was a beef patty with a few mushrooms on top with lettuce and tomato. There was no barrier from the beef and bottom bun making it impossible to eat without using a fork. The chocolate shake was good.

I ordered a crispy chicken sandwich and I thought it was a regular chicken sandwich, but then when I took a bite it was spicy. I AM UPSET. (THEY DID NOT SPECIFY THAT THE SPECIAL SAUCE IS SPICY)

Food is a solid mid. 2.5 out of 5 stars. Not nasty not great. No real reason to go here. Anywhere else in Sebastopol has just as good food or way better for a lot cheaper.

The food was too expensive for what it was, the onion rings were dripping grease, and it really tastes like college cafeteria food, just from a good cafeteria. Basically, it tastes like the recipes were optimized for speed, not flavor.

50$ bucks for food that sucks…I hate nothing more then chains that make horrible food for crazy prices. I had a four piece chicken strip and Fries and both were dry and pretty tasteless. My girlfriend got a chicken sandwich and Sweet potato fries Which weren’t in salted enough… The sandwich was tasteless as well. My advice before going here Just plan on getting the milkshakes and nothing more ( or at least avoid the chicken and fries) and just go to Dave’s hot chicken And pay less.

Been there a few times wanting to give it a chance. The food is inconsistent. Last time the cheeseburger was cold but the fried chicken bucket was great. Came back today the chicken sandwich was inedible, the chicken was pounded so thin. The Mac n cheese was not great, the chicken tenders were edible but not great. Got the fried chicken bucket and it was not as good as last time. Love the setting it would be a great place to come and have beers but not worth the price for not great food.

I’ve been there 3 times to give the place a fair shot before I gave it a review. Won’t be going back. Very mediocre food across the menu. You order and pick up your food at the counter. That went well as it should but they deserve no special kudos for it. The fried chicken in the bucket was dry and flavorless: I’d give it 1 star. Fries were nothing special: 2 stars. Hamburger was just ok 2 stars. Burger not even close to being as good as D’s Diner or Sequoia Burger in Sebastopol. Chicken Caesar Salad was a 2.5. Pleasant enough atmosphere but I’m not giving them the favor of giving of a starred rating. All in all, this place is pitiful. It gives Sebastopol a bad name.

For 15.00 I tasted an ok burger. The beef was cooked properly but had a lot of gristle. Flavor ok but not a 15.00 class burger. Bun was non descript potato something or other. Sauce was middle of the road and watery. Lettuce left a flavor of rotten lettuce afterwards. I was definitely still hungry after this snack sized burger. Won't be back until I hear a whole lot better.

$48.44 cents for nothingness! very aggravating situation. I was so looking forward to try this place with my grandson (13,) Even though, I had read and it had bad reviews. He lives in SF. We eat out a lot and very understanding that things can go wrong. we are human, but ... we arrived there last night at 6:55 pm, hungry and looking forward to a good meal. He ordered the double classic robin wo cheese (hamburger.) and I ordered a classic robin and asked for white cheddar, fries and a salad. We sat down patiently, nothing ... a long time of nothing, focusing at our little number thing to buzz. Is it broken? Finally, at 7:30, I asked the cashier, and she said let me check. She went to the back and I saw them shaking heads like no. She came back and said, it will be ready anytime. Back to sitting and waiting. At 7:40, I went to the other side of the counter with that beeper thing. They looked at the number and said: your food is at the cash register waiting for you. She forgot to buzz us (*) ok, human mistake. There were a woman and a very young guy who was VERY nice and apologetic (the woman just with no emotions or reactions.) He brought the food and handed it to me. I said, but it was not to go! ** I NEVER order hamburger togo except if I am eating in car because they get cold. He said, oh sorry, and tried to take them out and put them in a tray for us. I said thank you, at least give us the fries for my grandson is starving. we tried the fries - COLD ** at this point I am really frustrated. The young guy took it and said wait, I will make you some. I grabbed the hamburgers, went to the table. and went back, the lady gave us the new warm fries. I said " we had a salad also.", He said, oh yes, it must be in the other bag and handed out the plastic container. I said we are dining in to eat from a plate. he brought it in a plate to out table. I took a bite from the hamburger and it was COLD *** AND, they forgot to put cheese in mine. I honesty couldn't taste anything except for the sauce. At this point too frustrated and disappointed to say anything. my grandson took the salad to them to wrap it up. And she handed him a togo container and said, you can do it yourself! Not going back for a while.

So much for local ingredients and being 'farm to table.' The milkshakes are made with Lucerne Dairy products--where's the Strauss or Clover? When I asked about the beef source or what kind of oil the fries and chicken are cooked in, they wouldn't tell me. Transparency matters, especially for a place claiming to focus on quality. Disappointed and won't be back. Bland food made with cheap ingredients. Milkshakes served in plastic cups--what a treat! Sebastopol now has its very own overpriced fast-food chain, courtesy of the Barlow owner forcing his odd childhood dream on the rest of us. Hard pass.

One star for pricing that’s a little better than what’s around, as the food in the barlow needs drastic assistance being better priced/ more approachable/ kid and family friendly/ accessible etc. but, this place ain’t great. Had to order it myself, sit around for 25 minutes with a buzzer, finally got my bucket from a disorderly and confusing counter where you pick up your own food, from cooks I watched take multiple smoke breaks within 50’ of the place, which was disgusting, then I sat in the freezing building and tried my chicken which was entirely lackluster, onion rings ok, greasy, and no, fried food shouldn’t be greasy, Mac had no flavor tasted like bechamel with overcooked noodles. No one needs to be pressured to tip over a small percentage if they’re gonna do all their own wait service etc so the suggestions are astonishing on the tip side of things, the building was freezing INSIDE, no one wants cold food two minutes after sitting down, no one wants to have to eat with a massive jacket on. Whoever owns this or is running it is delusional and needs to take some steps in a better direction, food isn’t great atmosphere lacks, service terrible and slow, confused, too many cooks taking too many smoke breaks too close to the place where you can smell it, freezing inside, it wasn’t even welcoming when you walk in. I’ll try it 1 more time to be fair someday when I have money I’d light on fire .

Went here to try the new place in town, was really disappointed. I ordered a large order of three burgers, fries for each, onion rings and chicken tenders. The hostess was kind but when the vibrating-light-up tablet they give you to know when your food is ready lit up, I approached the counter and the employees behind the counter besides the hostess gave me the most annoyed and exasperated looks as they angrily pointed for me to pick up the food over on the side. I was a little surprised at how quick it was ready since it was so much, but once I opened it up and saw the quality it made sense. The chicken tenders were very clearly frozen tenders that were just heated up. And the burgers were nothing fancy, the meat not seasoned making them pretty flavorless. Honestly the best thing was the fries and onion rings. I was especially disappointed about the chicken tenders because the place was advertising as a fried chicken place so I expected the chicken to be better. Moreover, they charge a lot of such low quality food. I would never eat there again or recommend it to anyone. It’s a shame because it would have been a good idea or addition to the town’s restaurants if it were good.

We loved going to Cock Robin for a bucket of fried chicken and two great sides. It was one of the better deals in the Barlow and always fun to sit outsid eby the fire pits. Last week I went in and teh bucket of chicken is gone from the menu. We had our hearts set on fried chicken so we tried the tenders which were dry and didn't have the same "kickin" batter that made the fried chicken tasty. Brussel sprouts were still good.The Robin has lost two customers.

Ordered Fried Chicken sandwich (bland) and a Bacon Cheeseburger and it came with no meat! Hence, “Where’s the Beef!”…. There were two other people returning items that were missing various items in their order…. Not going back! There are way too many good places to eat in Sebastopol!

yesterday was my birthday and I've been looking forward to getting a bucket of fried chicken for two weeks and when I went they HAD TAKEN IT OFF THE MENU!!!! no good deals allowed in the barlow I guess. threw my entire day off. I cried

Stood in line for 20 minutes with one person ahead of us. They put their order in, and the person taking orders went to cook it. Seemed like online orders were also being cooked with while we just stood waiting to place an order to eat at the restaurant. We left hungry and confused as to how this place stays open.

This place isn't good I am very sorry to say. I suppose we should have known better since the cavernous space was empty at 7:30 on a Saturday night (yet somehow it still took too long for someone to take our order?). The fried chicken sandwich is breaded (sort of like a schnitzel) not batter deep-fried like a chicken sandwich is supposed to be. Combine that with the too-soft bun and the excessive amount of mushy avocado and what you end up with is a sloppy, unappetizing mess. As my husband said when he tossed his dinner in the trash: "This was a fifty-dollar disaster."

The best and truly only good thing on their menu was the fried chicken bucket. Emphasis on WAS because it's off the menu now.. Disappointing the best fried chicken in Sonoma county disappeared. Their burgers are mediocre and the milkshakes come out with an icy texture.

The menu says the tenders are Mary’s chicken and come with housemade BBQ sauce. When they arrived, there were three tiny tenders in a little basket. Immediately they looked overcooked, very dark brown, with odd breading. There was no BBQ sauce. I looked around and eventually asked, and was told, “People waste it so we keep it in the back.” If it comes with the meal, just give it to people. I am genuinely not a picky eater, especially with tenders. They are usually the safest, most foolproof option. Well… apparently not here. The texture was rubbery, the inside was an almost transparent white, and the flavor was nothing but salt. Overall they were completely inedible. I was hungry and still could not get through more than half of one. The fries were mediocre. My sister liked her portabella burger. But for the love of everything holy: do NOT get the tenders. Absolutely not. Cock Robin, if you're reading this: just remove the tenders from the menu, they are horrific.
