Chicken Express

We got our chicken and fish fix here on April 27, 2024 while waiting for the storm to pass. We took it back to the motel. Everything was great. Service was excellent.

Great service!! Great and delicious chicken tender pieces. Great flavor! It is my first Chicken Express. We were driving a long road trip, we stopped by yesterday and came back today on our way home. Very happy and cheerful staff.

I went to this location in Seymour today and yesterday. No stomach issues unlike most chicken expresses! Quick service, great food, and GREAT customer service! Served with a smile and a kind gesture when I needed it most 😊

This might be an older building, that makes you wonder if you should even stop, and you might think you’ve stepped back into time, but the service and people are the nicest you’ll ever freakin meet, I promise you that. We drove hours and had to decide between Dairy Queen and here; and it did not disappoint. The last thing you want after driving for hours with kids in the car, is bad attitudes when you stop. The people who work at this Chicken E are the FRIENDLIEST. What a breath of fresh air for my entire family of 9. We only waited about ten minutes for all of our food and they went out of their way, above and beyond, to make sure we were taken care of, plus some! Also, the food tasted the same as any other ones I’ve been to. My only complaint is that there is no baby changing station in the bathroom- other than that it was fine! Thank you so much, guys! We appreciate everything 🙏🏽❤️

The Chicken Express in Seymour Texas just refused our Church's order for the volunteers to eat and then turned around and said "they're not giving me my order because they have the right to refuse service and do not come back to this store ever again". We are up to date on our tax exemption status and he said my paperwork didn't look right to him, anyhow I just wanted to share that with you.

It's good, but not amazing. they charge for drink refills which is a letdown, but the food is decent, better than any other chicken in Seymour.

Good chicken. Okra tasted fair to poor. Decorated dining area that would be attractive to senior adults. Nice staff.

We was coming visiting friends,Becky and her mom,want to the chicken express Inc. In Seymour tx .for some fried pickles .They were wonderful Love them.

I ordered some chicken tenders from here tonight I was skeptical because of all the bad reviews I have been seeing and haven't eaten here in a while. Well I have to say the people were nice made my order exactly how I asked and the chicken was good everything was great I saw the team working hard and doing their jobs no complaints here

Love the friend Chicken and fried Okra. Staff is friendly and service is fast.

Food is good as usual, customer service was terrible. The cashier had a really bad attitude, no friendliness at all.

Not the cleanest location and did not have biscuits. Cashiers angry at first but smiled when bringing us food and refilling our drinks on the way out. Bathroom satisfactory.

I visit chicken e pretty regularly. I really enjoy it. This location seemed to be behind the the rest of them as far as menu and the spicy was mild at best.

Food was great and the place was super clean but you guys need to do something about your indoor menu display. To be honest, I thought I walked into a different restaurant than Chicken E. I’m not a normal customer so I’m not too familiar with the menu. Since I am not a regular then I’ll have to try on the menu. What helps me when I’m new to a fast food joint is the meal # portion of the menu. At this particular location that menu is to the side and it’s small. Not only that but it’s not properly lit up and could barely read it. It wasn’t even in chronological order. This really bugged me because then I have to ask the employee what the difference is between the meal #. The employee was pretty helpful but all this could have been solved by making that meal menu more legible, up front and presentable. It’s not a good sign when your customer walks in and isn’t sure they are in the same restaurant that the big sign displays out front.

Got a lunch with 2 pieces and 2 sides. They forgot 1 of the sides. Chicken was fine but incredibly bland. Trash in the grass all around the parking lot. Dirty bathroom with NO SOAP and NO PAPER TOWELS!!! Pretty disgusting.

We stopped here while traveling. The rolls were great, okra was good but the chicken was terrible. No seasoning in crust. Very bland.

I at least got the fish the way it was ordered. We asked if one of the sides could be prepared a certain way. Oh yes. Oh no. We didn't get the side order as requested.

Got there at 12:30 place our order at the Box. Had to reorder when we got to the window. When trying to place our order we were informed they were already out of the dark meat. Had very few pieces of white meat left. Two breasts and chicken wing that I got were so tough I couldn't chew it. I think it had been sitting there since they made it that morning. I think I got the bottom of the pile. Our okra, fries, gravy and biscuit we're great

Good food but horrible service. Traveling through town and husband and daughter went in to eat first since my son was sleeping in the car. Went in afterward and waited in line for almost 10 mins. The couple on front of me was finally served but when it was my turn I waited for about another five minutes with no one acknowledging my presence. A young man looked up at a local in line behind me and asked what he needed (a drink), and served him immediately. I walked out and went to Sonic instead which had excellent service :) My husband said his food was good.

Four of my seven tenders were tiny and all of them were overcooked. They charge for refills and overfill the cups with ice. I can't justify the $15 price for what I got.

Disappointed, I’ve been here before and was good. Tonight wasn’t good the chicken was nasty, old cooking oil, after one bit I threw it in the trash..

Maybe it’s just me but have been there twice and both times tenders have been lukewarm at best on the verge of cold. The fried orca was old, mushy and very oily. All in all not worth the time. I have been to other chicken express’s that I do like just not this one.

Unfriendly and cook dripped grease all over counter and floor. She did not let the product drain before putting it in container. We saw one customer pull out of driver this due to slow service. We had to change our order because they did not have much chicken cooked.

Very rude would not serve us said they were closed and it was after 10:30. Definitely don't recommend

This place needs a health inspector to drop through, none of the lady's handling foods wore gloves or hair nets but their nails are done thats no excuse to not take health seriously in this time and on top of that our foods was not fresh. The restaurant opens at 10:30am i got my food around 12pm so there's no way that it should of looked the way it did if it was fresh. This is the first time I've left a review but this place is ridiculous and the wait time is so long just to get not freshly made food. I've ate different chicken express and they've never disappointed me, I really dont know how this place is still operating.

Worst Chicken Express I've ever been to. We waited in the drive through for 30 minutes and there was only one car ahead of us. Then we said we wanted biscuits several times and when we get our order it has rolls. So we knock on the window, were ignored sevetal times, and then were told "oh we don't have biscuits". No apology or anything. Is it too much trouble to tell us that when we ordered? It seems like a trivial thing but their attitude and customer service was horrible.

This makes me sad, because I used to love this place.

There were 2 employees there when I visited. The taller female said something that should be addressed so as not to say in front of customers. After all, we pay her salary. Yes, I heard her say people should not be in the restroom for so long. Sometimes, people do have medical issues that require longer visits in restrooms.

First off, how do you run out of straws!!? I understand it’s 40 minutes to close and the mashed taters are gone but how many more days are y’all gonna keep this nasty Mac n cheese? Are rolls no longer served with a 7 pc tender. I should’ve went to Allsups. Will not be returning for rude service or left overs.

Stay far away! Dirty and disgusting. Literally the worst Chicken Express location I have ever stopped at. Two people ahead of me and took 30 minutes. All 16 year old boys running around without any direction while two adults who haven't a clue how to run a restaurant making faces to each other about the customers. Chicken was literally burnt to little crisps. Inedible i ordered one chicken tender box. . No ranch for fried pickles, and forgot my drink and roll. Corn was mush. Completely unacceptable. Management has no business operating this store. Will never stop here again.

Walk in at 7 and no one greets anyone. Waited for 10 min to even get him to ask what we wanted. Then got 2 orders wrong Got our food and it was all still uncooked, took to the counter, the guy grabbed the boxes and threw all 3 boxes in the trash, no apologies or ask how can we make this right! Turned around to continue fixing others food....We sat down thinking we would get fresh food,waited 20 min the guy at the counter brings a box of chicken stripes ( 10) for all three of us to share and tosses it on the table,didn't say a word and left. We ask for our food and said we would need to wait 8 min for a remake because they are only made as per request.. We said no, it is cooks fault chicken is raw, he rolled his eyes and said "do you want a refund then"? By this time I had had enough and ask manager for a refund.. Manager was so apologetic, had me sign a refund ,repeatedly apologing.. She is the only one that greeted us and was very polite.. said she would talk to them. Horrible experience never going back there, young kids working a slow pace, Latonya(manager) did an excellent job but the counter and cook people need more.training or get another job!!

Coming from out of town we decided to the stop at Chicken Express because it’s a fan favorite of ours back home. From the very first look at the mashed potatoes & the taste of the sweet tea we should have known that something was up. My family & I all ordered the number 1 & from the first bite we seen pink in our chicken. My grandma’s chicken was bloody & when we took it back to the front the cook came out & said that it was from the “marinate” they use, but back home ours never look pink & bloody😂 I didn’t think to take a picture but if you are coming from out of town DO NOT EAT HERE!

What appeared to be a manager or assistant manager just walked by, looked at us, and continued to fill up a pitcher or something. After 5 minutes at the counter with not 1 word said to us, we left and ate at the Dairy Queen instead.
