Needed a bag of ice, stores in our little town was closed. So I ended up getting 2 large sodas and a 5lb bag of cubed ice for $3.50. can't believe that price. I'll never buy ice at a market again.. Also, it's always very clean inside and out. Especially the restrooms. The employees are also very friendly and helpful.

As we drove up to the drive through window We noticed that there was a sign that said starting Sunday February 20th 2022 we are only ope from 7am-9pm due to people not wanting to work. As far as I could see they only had 4 people working the complete store last night. I give them credit for that. Since each McDonald's is independently owned and operated I would call on the owners to do something special for this group that showed up last night to do the job. With out them from were I stand, therewould have been a whole hell of money not made if they didn't cover for last night. Sorry this update isn't about food quality or taste,but for once I'm giving it up for the staff. So this rating is based on last night's staff.

THE NICEST MCDONALDS YOU WILL EVER GO TO. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS AMAZING AND I DONT KNOW HOW BUT THE FOOD IS WAY BETTER!!!!!! Everyone was extremely kind going through the drive threw. We had to pull up to the front to wait for fresh food they were making. We waited no more than 3 min. And they came out with our food and a free dessert for the wait. WONDERFUL SERVICE!!!!

Not a fan of the kiosk, cutting out staff to increase your bottom line, not impressed. No one tells you that you Must use it, a real person doesn't take your order. Grand children like to go.

This McDonald's used to be not very good, but I would say in the last year they cleaned up. The lady(sorry I don't remember her name) is always so friendly. The food from this location is always hot and taste fresh. They sometimes have you pull up front, before giving you your order. I would much rather do that and get fresh food. Big thumbs up to the workers at this location.

Stopped by McDonald's in Lake Shasta during our vacation and had an excellent experience. The staff was friendly and the food was fresh and hot. Definitely stopping again if passing by on 5.

We went there to get gas but got in through the wrong entrance. There is no sign to the gas station. There is an entrance to the gas station from the main road though which was not obvious for out of area drivers. We got great price $3.44 while the average price around the area is $4.29 for regular gas!

I know it's fast food and now their pricing is a little crazy, but that being said, the people working here run a tight ship. I live close and for the last 10 years I've gone there probably 3 times a month. Never once have they messed up my order. Even when I alter ingredients for different family members, they get it right. EVERY TIME! It's clean, it's quick and their service is top notch. Every fast food joint should take notes. Yeah, I'm talking to you TACO BELL ON MARKET!

Food was made and ready quickly. I ordered for,here and the cashier out it in a bag. I told him,iy was for here again. He gave me a tray. He asked if I can put my food on the tray or if I wanted him to do it. I smiled and said I got it. Aside from that, no issues. Pay attention.

Got six ice cream cones. Not chocolate covered bc they don’t offer that option any longer. After I payed with Apple Pay bc I had forgotten debit card I received ice creams at the pay window. The McWorker put cones in drink holder stuffed with napkins to help hold them. Was helpful. Although after receiving I had to wait still for car ahead to receive they’re order of the whole menu(speculation) and since the cones were not covered in a hardened shell of delicious creamy milk chocolate they began to melt. Considered three stars but in all fairness I believe four stars is their final score.

McDonald's menu is greatly improved, and they accommodate special diets. I'm on the Paleo diet, so all I needed was scrambled eggs and bacon. No Problem! This place is super busy but the servers are Super friendly and courteous

Although the Day Shift Manager is a little snobbish, all the rest of the employees and weekend and night manager treats customers with value. They really value the survey beyond writing! Hell of a lot better than Lake Blvd. McDonald's that's a sure plus! However, Burger King will cut the sandwiches and Shasta Lake McD. will not--- excuses! So they lost one star with they could have had 5 star. They need to improve!

A typical MCD restaurant without much personal service but order machines or your own app. The food is standard (I like the most and expected). The restaurant is clean and plenty of seats.

This McDonalds is so much better than the ones in redding. Orders always right, fast and nice employees. Every so often the fires aren't quite right. Not sure if it isn't enough salt or fryer oil needed changing. I'd say one out of 20 visits it happens so totally not a regular occurrence.

This location was clean and well-kept, and it was laid out different then most of the McDonald's we've been too. I actually like that. This location and the Lone Pine location stick out to me for nice Decor in layout as far as McDonald's goes. The food arrived quickly, and tasted like it may have actually been cooked fresh versus being put together with patties in the warmer. Considering we were there in the early afternoon I was pleasantly surprised by that. I'd definitely rate it above average for a McDonald's.

I ordered 2 McDouble's, one was was fresh and had great flavor. The other seemed old and didn't have much flavor. They were really busy and I still got my food fast. I'm happy with the experience.

It was a little slow this time because they were pretty busy but it wouldn't be busy if it wasn't good. Fast foods not always my thing but when im in a hurry between jobs and on the move sometimes McDonals is exactly what the doctor ordered. Quick food, at a descent price and they have really good, very reasonably priced, hot fudge or Carmel sundaes. My favorite and a nice size, not a big portion but just the right size to eat in a hurry, and give your the little ice cream craving a fix.

While i haven't yet figured out why McDonald's insists on their order takers waste their time as well as mine with starting every transaction with,"are you going to be using our App today"? They can stop this practice now. This sets the tone for the next 15-30 minutes of my day which includes the eating of the items i just purchased. Enough already!!!

Been coming here forever until today. This is the first time I've ever actually gotten sick from here, so it could be me I don't know. But just in case I wanted to let the employees know that I got sick and to just check their patties. The (presumably) manager said that they temp their patties everytime and that it wouldn't have affected me in such a short time. She also didn't have the respect to wait until I was out of ear range to express her frustrations to her employees. In conclusion, I got sick from maybe the food here, but my problem was how the manager (?) Handled the situation. Maybe I'll come back in the future but as of now no more.

Wasn't completely just slapped together for the burger I had and they gave me a light amount of mayonnaise instead of light mayonnaise. Everything was hot and I like how instead of giving the extra fries in the kids meal two separate mini containers they gave us just small fry which I thought was cool because it meant less waste.

sometimes theyre a little slow. sometimes i see them goofing off speaking with eachother instead of the customers waiting in line to be gelped. sometimes the drive through times are more then they should be and sometimes they forget pieces of our orders. otherwise .. i guess theyre just alright but not great!

A few years back parking lot was full of stray cats....I haven't seen one cat this year. As you enter parking lot or leave it...you will see homeless with signs. The lobby has been remodeled....less places to dine. Drive thru is best....but sometimes really slow.

Honestly, I’m not sure if there’s been a change in staff Or what but this location has really gone downhill in terms of speed, efficiency, and quality of food. I usually go and get my breakfast on Sundays before work, but I haven’t for a while due to having to leave the line multiple times because it’s just taken way too long and this is even after I’ve ordered ahead and paid. I just get a sandwich meal that’s it. I’ve tried to wave down the people inside when I’m at the window to let them know that I have to leave because I am late to work and I can’t reach anybody. But then when I have called the store they pick up immediately so I’m not sure if they’re just hiding from the window or what. They’ve messed up my orders so many times and the wait time is just ridiculous at this point. I live four minutes away from this McDonald’s. It’s always been my favorite one, not only because of the speed of service and the quality of food, but also the quality of the employees and their customer service. Unfortunately, I’m rethinking that and I’m just not going to come here as often and when I do as I just have to go and plan to be waiting for around 20-30 minutes because that just seems to be the average way time for breakfast in the morning even when there’s only one or two cars in line. They didn’t even give me a receipt or else I would’ve just left a normal review but I guess it’s probably good to let people know because we’re in a small town and there really isn’t anything else to get for breakfast here. I hope that if it is due to new staffing that they get better trained and become more efficient and all around friendlier.

I would absolutely die if I ever got a hot French fry from here. I live close by and have ate here countless times. I have NEVER got hot fries from here. It’s like tradition at this point. The rest of the food is general McDonald’s fare but with the special Shasta Lake twist that NOTHING can ever be served hot. Tired of having to go 2 miles away and heat up literally every single item as soon as I get home. Gave them the benefit of the doubt forever but it’s time to move on. The folks are great but that’s not enough, bottom tier McDonald’s at best.

Be careful ordering online I ordered over 69 dollars of food and got there in 17 minutes. They said my order was cancelled because I wasn't there in 15 minutes put it in again from receipt they had. They had me pay again and said the other charge was canceled. I got charged 2 times on same day and it's been a month so the first charge was not cancelled and I payed almost 140 dollars for a meal for my family.

Very attractive upgrade cosmetically, however, took more work than necessary to order and processing times were much too slow. Food was not as good as I remember it and I didn't get the complete order.

Do not go to this McDonald's. Worst customer service I have ever had, we stopped here to eat dinner and it was 920pm. This McDonald's closes at 10pm and as we entered I asked the worker that was cleaning if my daughter could use the restroom. The employee said "hmmmm, well I just cleaned it and it's closed for the night". I asked her, why is it closed if the restaurant closes at 10pm? She took a while to answer me and then said "well I scrubbed it, and it's closed for the night". We decided after being treated so bad we could not eat at a place where they won't allow you to go to the bathroom. I asked for the manager to make a complaint. The manager stated the same thing that we couldn't use the restroom and she told me I could go to the restroom across the street. 😟😞 I told the manager that we where going to eat dinner at this location but since they where treating us unfairly we would not eat here. I expected customer service and an apology from the manager but instead she argued with me. I WILL NEVER STOP HERE AGAIN. I'M NOT SURE IF WE WHERE REFUSED TO USE THE RESTROOM DUE TO OUR RACE OR COLOR OF SKIN, BUT I WILL BE DOING AN EMAIL/LETTER TO HEADQUARTERS.

Terrible! Fries were not fresh, ordered nuggets with honey mustard dipping sauce but got plain honey and didn't know till we were back on the road! Restroom was not clean and it was only 10:45 in the morning!

This was the least clean McDonald’s I have ever been to. The men’s restroom was dirty and the soap dispenser didn’t work. There was chocolate syrup spilled right in front of the cashiers in multiple places. And the parking lot had so much litter spread throughout it. Additionally I didn’t like how the cash register person was singing without their mask on. Eventually the person put on their mask but I was quite disappointed with this particular franchise.

Had a public hair in my food in June 2017. Yes it's the truth.. Wasn't going to put it in my review originally, but today they got my order wrong for the 4th time in the last 2 weeks. So I decided to let the cat out of the bag. Talked with the manager, and she claimed it was hair from a person's beard. Now this particular hair was curly. Even if it was a beard hair, it shouldn't make a difference. I have personally worked fast food before and I was required to have a clean shaved face. They didn't use beard nets back then. We have a running joke in the family now every time we order here. Everyone puts there change in a bottle before we order and we guess what part of the order will be messed up if they happen to screw it up. It's sad but true... You can ask the manager yourself next time you eat here. Martin, how is it discrimination to not want to serve someone with no money?

They had 4 employees NOT show up for work. Both managers were working in the back. I ordered 2 McDoubles. The first one had only mayonnaise and pickles. The 2nd was correct with mustard and catsup. I worked at McDonald's 55 years ago, and we had NO mayonnaise on anything. I didn't figure out the mistake until I was 20 miles down I-5. Service was very slow, and the food was horrible.

This place can never get the order right, EVER. I thought because I ordered one sausage and egg mcmuffin and a hashbrown that they would at least get that right but they didn't! When I got home and went to take a bite of my sandwich I noticed it was ham and egg and not sausage and it was hard and did not taste good at all. I can't wait for the taco bell to be put it so I can start going there for breakfast every now and then. Stoped in just after Christmas 2022. I feel sorry for the few employees working there. Way understaffed for the customer load. It seems like the staff was either very young or very old, but overwhelmed by two dozen customers in the lobby all waiting for food, and a string of vehicles wrapped around the drive-up window. We bailed on food, but the wife needed to use the restroom. Urg, it was a total mess!

Waited 15 minutes to be told a Mcgriddle would take 10 more minutes so we swapped it for a cheaper sandwich but still got charged for the mcgriddle after the employee argued it didn’t make a difference. You can get your food faster from any sit down restaurant or diner. Not worth trying argue for dollars, never coming back to this scam stop.

I eat here every so often, I like there #4 chicken burgers, usually they are very good. But tonight its late around 10 and I got one, probably the worst chicken I've ever had. Could make cardboard taste better. Its way over done, buns also over done. very disappointed. Got in drive through, so not going back now. Need to work on quality control.

If there was a zero star, I would give it to them. Shame on them, they have no sympathy to people. I am a 71 years old truck driver and stopped by to get dinner around 9:00 pm. Only the drive through was open and they refused to sell me food because I wasn’t in the drive through with a car. I was hungry and looking for a place to eat for hours. It’s not easy to get into place with a huge semi truck, but they didn’t have any consideration to my situation and refused to sell me dinner. Even policies should have exception. Two times in a row they've been out of breakfast burritos during breakfast time. I don't actually believe that they make more than two of them in the morning. Food was cold. Also food sizes have shrunk substantially and they upcharge for absolutely everything even when it should come on the value menu together. We'll never be back to this location.

I understand that fast food restaurants get busy, but the day I ordered here, there were a lot of people doing online mobile orders and most of them were lining up where everyone picks up their food. As I was waiting for my order, staffs brought out a bag with NO receipt and NO labels on it to indicate whose order it is. Another customer took out the food out the bag, checking if it is their order. The staff was even watching him even helping him. IT WASN’T THEIRS AND IT WAS MINE. It’s gross how other customers touch your food instead of the workers. It ruined my appetite. Next time, have the staffs put the receipt with the order number on it even if it’s busy so people know it’s their order and they don’t touch other people’s food.

Careful ordering their chicken nuggets, especially in a happy meal. My son ended up with bad food poisoning. Vomiting, diarrhea, sulfur smelling burps and gas. I'm positive it was from the nuggets as he didn't eat them all and our dog was fed the rest. Our dog also ended up with the same symptoms as my son. Food quality here is not good during night shift. They don't throw away the food that has been out for to long and instead serve it to children in their happy meals. This often happens with the fries in the happy meals too. Super cold and old. I was an employee there a long time ago and know what the product looks and feels like when it's been in the warmer too long. Shame on you night crew for poisoning children!!!! Won't ever go here again.

Place was an absolute JOKE! The workers were stupid and didn't even put the food in the happy meals we got for the kids! And when we said there wasn't food in any of their boxes they kept asking us what we meant, even after showing them there was nothing in the boxes they handed us! When we finally got them to understand that we didn't get our food they treated us poorly like we were the problem. They gave us medium fries instead of the large size we ordered and forgot a drink. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!

How is this place still open? Literally the WORST MCD in Shasta Co. Regardless of 1 or 20 cars in the drive thru, you will wait a minimum of 20 minutes. The last couple times I've ordered through the app & my order was incorrect. Or like today, sat at curbside for 30 minutes to receive cold, soggy fries and no McFlurry cuz surprise.. the ice cream machine was down, but the app let me order. Please close down & bring something worthwhile to this town!

love the staff as always, But this is the 2nd time this month that i order a large hot Carmel macchiato walk which come to 4.29 walk in and they not only hand me a iced one but its 1 size smaller and if i wanted the iced coffee i can get 1 for .99 through the app so every time you screw up my coffee I'm eating 3.29 and for as often as i go this will add up and isnt ok

Ice cream machine is down ALOT So I figured a few days later when I was gonna go over and try to get another cone, I was gonna call and it is a complete joke to even get through on the phone so when I went tonight after not being able to reach somebody by phone naturally go through the drive-through get up to the order window and the machine is down… I said you know I tried to call to make sure this wouldn’t happen and I couldn’t get through. She said our phone is broke too…seriously! Is this place going under or what is going on?

Worest experience here!! Gurl with brown hair that is bigger is mean!! I had an issue with them not doin my ice cream when I got to window well I came back tonight she wouldn’t use my code said it wouldn’t work well since e she is so horrible I’m taking my business to better businesses!! We got yummy ice cream from Costco instead!!

Absolutely horrible location!!! I waited 25 mins after ordering to-go in the lobby. When I asked the staff what was going on I was given a confused look and asked " you did not get your food yet?" 4 minutes later I was given a bag of trash! Gross soggy fries and 2 burgers covered in onions and pickles...even if I had not ordered these burgers without those ingredients the burgers were on incorrect buns, and cold to the touch. Waste of 30 mins and $25! Will never return to this location again. Absolute trash!
