Great place to learn!
Excellent
Fun
It was cool
Great cuts!
Love this place!
So far, so good!
Good college for higher education. The school is there to help you. Nice theater
My daughter's been going there for 3 years first two years was After High School she graduated with her AA in art already..this year she's taking a course to get a certificate for digital media all I can really say about the college is it's kept very clean..nicely landscaped most of the people that I've seen appear friendly and the staff seem helpful and friendly as well at least the ones that I've spoken to I like driving my daughter to school there in the morning times and picking her up in the afternoons cuz sometimes when I'm out there I see a whole flock of wild turkeys love seeing little squirrels running around and deer along the roadside generally a quiet and peaceful campus... don't know how many community colleges offer dormitories but this one happens to have dorms... pretty much a stone's throw away from town so it's not a big long drive to get to a grocery store or entertainment such as the movie theater or just throwing a line in the river or lake somewhere and going fishing also the campus seems to be patrolled very well with the security guards that drive around frequently which makes me feel better as a parent knowing that my daughter is safe.
Incredible support system with several different departments to help ease the stress of starting at a new college. Appointment dates vary so it is best to access services ASAP.
Good
Shasta College in Redding, CA. This community college offers a variety of opportunities to students from all backgrounds, from affordable programs to a place to live while you get your education, my favorite walk around place is the farm and I found this incredible most beautiful chicks 🐥 and unique.
Excellent theater hall with super great dancer and music shows
I had a fantastic time shopping for beautiful plants 🪴.
I went here to get my heavy equipment cert. The instructors are good. The head instructor was really good, he made sure that I understood the operation and showed me how to be better at the operation of heavy equipment.
I took Fire Control 3 over the weekend, and it was some of the most fun I've had in a class in a while
Great college. Highly recommend going if you want to go back to school for a degree. All the professors and staff I have met throughout my over one year of attending Shasta College have been great. I've had no bad experiences.
We got our first covid vaccine today!
The staff is super helpful and the store is always stocked and clean.
Awesome security staff, great community College
Great place for New Beginnings and solid education.
Always great to visit a place of Higher Education🇺🇸😎🌹
The early childhood education department is amazing
Great school with many options for an education.

They were pleasantly nice
Campus looks good..
Basketball camp going on here.
Great gorgeous campus! I went for my vaccine and the place is gorgeous. Seems like a great school to go to :)
U bet! Love the outdoor exercise equipment, got a workout! I'm alumni & 50, gonna do it another decade!
Attended a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony today, where the Veterans Support & Success Center was officially Opened.
Graduated in 2010 as an international student. I really liked on campus dormitories and it was a nice environment to focus and study.
I love Shasta College it's full of welcoming people, both students and staff.
I went there to get my covid-19 vaccine. I have also taken classes there. Everyone is friendly and helpful.
I got my first COVID-19 vaccine today and it was a very easy procedure
Gotta say, it’s a pretty damn good school! Staff actually cares about you, which to be honest, you won’t find in most colleges.
The experience was great, all professors are down to earth people. Great place to start 😄
Great fans the best officials we've had all year thank you Shasta
Great place to come expand your self and wisdom. Wonderful staff who's main focus and concern is your success.
Great experience, berry helpful, can't wait to start school.
The place to be!! Very nice campus and nice employees
Wonderful place. Great campus. Expansive.
We were on campus for a performance in the little theater - Sound of Music. The first half was magnificent - wonderful performers and musicians followed with a short intermission and a long area wide power outage! So long that the performance was delayed indefinitely for the night. Not the norm for Shasta College. Power pole was sheared off!
Worth every penny! PACE Councilors are very helpful. They take the time to help plan out classes to meet education goals. It's a beautiful diverse campus and there is a wonderful tutoring options. My only issues is campus is now a none smoking campus... I dont understand why. Between the smoke from the yearly fires and the amount of vehicles that park around the school a bit of cigarette smoke is not enough to be a cause for a health concern. The policy wont stop people from smoking on campus. Its only causing a large group of like minded people (with an addiction) to become more ostracize from educational society by not allowing them to publicly gather with their group of peers which can hindering their education their overall education.
As a Army Veteran, I greatly appreciate both the staff and facilities available at the Shasta College Veterans Service center. They were able to answer our questions and help me enroll my family enroll with all the available funding options.
Shasta College completely changed my life. I was able to figure out a career path and get an associate’s degree for transfer. They have sooo many resources- their library has subscriptions to a ton of academic journals, as well as computers and printers to use, and lots of great study spots. Their student clinic is amazing, and it’s included with the cost of classes. There is also therapy/counseling if you need someone to talk to. The professors really care about their students and want them to do well. There are lots of cool events and clubs. Their disability resources department is super helpful, and I know they have a financial aid/EOPS program, and construction is underway for a new building entirely for assisting veterans. They have smaller campuses in more rural areas like Red Bluff, Weaverville, and Burney, as well as a ton of online courses. I think Shasta college is easily one of the most positive influences present in the Redding community. Thanks!
I have the best instructor in two separate classes very helpful and I know nothing and I can prove it and there working with me I’m still a little nervous but I’m very comfortable
God bless Shasta I am a friend of the guys who went to college there in like 1993-96 my name is Michael Arbuckle Jr I didn't attend the school but I attended Milwaukee Washington a friend name Chris told me the story about Shasta. Hopefully your school is still successful in sports. Blessings.
Masks are required indoors, campus safety helps enforce the madate, and every office building follows proper sanitizing procedures to ensure cleanliness and safety. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Went to the 71st Shasta College graduation ceremony, so proud of everyone. What a great group of people pursuing their dreams. It was awesome, so many were there...
Good college love this good staff
I went for a COVID test. Directions were very clear with signs posted and the people were extremely friendly. For an anxious type of appointment they made the experience pleasant.
Came for the xmas trees! It was so much fun with the bounce house for the littles and a visit from Santa! Plus it felt nice knowing our money was being out back into the community. WIN WIN!
Very supportive staff that go more than out of their way to help students succeed! A beautiful campus that currently upgraded its library to a very comfortable space for students to be in. Public study and Private study rooms for booking. Up to date technology & a Starbucks cafe! Very relaxed and inviting atmosphere with endless student resources. A great place to be further educated!
Campus maps are in all the buildings and in the main office. The teachers and students are really nice. Overall a wonderful place to learn. Plus there's a gorgeous library and a starbucks 😁
Great school, great teachers. I was a miscreant as a teenager and very much opposed the institution of education, but Shasta, their staff, and their teachers, have helped me fall in love with being a student over the two years I've been attending and completing prerequisites for the dental hygiene program. I wish I could get paid to be a student forever. Keep it up Shasta! Also the library is coming along beautifully and I love all the new landscaping upgrades that have recently been implemented. The on-campus Starbucks and the online ordering for said Starbucks, as well as online ordering of yummy cafeteria food is a huge bonus, too. The leaening resources and attitudes of all, make Shasta extremely conducive to learning. I believe this place runs like a well-oiled machine, and is a beautiful and stimulating environment!
Enjoyed a delight production last Sunday of the Nutcracker with live orchestra and ballet. Very well done!!
Went and watched the orchestra concert and it was absolutely phenomenal.
Great place to advance one's education and training. I'm currently here for a 2 day seminar. I highly recommend Shasta College

Pretty cool
Always well kept up and maintained
Pretty decent college at a great price especially if you’re from California then you get the first two years for free. Like any institution they have good and bad teachers but overall I had a good experience
My brother in law attends Shasta, and they treat him great. Really helpful with a fantastic support team. Believe they perform a vital role in Shasta County on a variety of levels. Good for them.

This college is a hit and miss. Some of the classes are great, and some aren't so much, it's all 50/50. I attended a few programs here where I had several incredibly unhelpful instructors who cared more about getting paid than helping struggling students. My wife had excellent luck with the floral design class, and speaks highly of the women working there.
Love the Welding Program. The Finacial Aid is dismal and those like myself in the " grey area" do not get any help at all. DSPS is the only program that truly helps me accomplish my goals. I have to take each Semester at a time to see if I can make my finances work. Suzy klitgaard.

You really have to choose your professor's carefully
They want your money and only care about saving they own ass from federal funding and regulations. Teachers are pretty cool, they know that the people above them are unrighteous and the admissions and financial aid and will set you up for failure and miss guide you. EOPS is a joke and they force athletes to do work in 700 building and only feed them once a month. No snacks no love really. Coaches are pretty cool tho, athletic building sucks.
Advisers are often unhelpful and more importantly hard to get a hold of. They often cancel classes when they don't have enough students. This can set a person back for more than 1 semester, which is terrible. An adviser plans out your classes and expects you to be there for 1-2 semesters, then the school (only caring about money?) cancels your pre-req to 3 other classes. The often will wait to tell you that the VA doesn't accept a class putting you book payment and monthly payments behind. They are quick to ticket you if you park with out a pass. I'd understand it if they didn't have whole open parking. If you don't pay or don't know they will make sure the DMV knows and this will result in withholding your registration if you don't have enough to pay the exorbitant CA prices + a $60 fee. So a school will go beyond education to get monies from you. Next they will check credit scores, lol. They are only good as a very brief stop over.
I'll add more to this later, but for now. All I can say is you really need to research what professors are actually there to help. Many don't give the slightest Damn what you learn, and put forth the bare minimum of effort. Some simply just say "it's all online." When asked a question. That being said, the Shasta college online "canvas" is abysmal. It is over complicated, and hard to navigate, and in short not user friendly.

Seriously lacking in classes. I can never get what I need. Don't bother.
Well organized, knowledgeable medical personnel, prompt.
Needs were never met here. They just want your money it's disgusting, they should be ashamed of themselves. Not recommended.
TERRIBLE experience specially if you are an international student. Nobody contacted me even after I sent a couple of emails for my financial aid (I got a work study offer) I got charged twice for my ID and still haven’t received a refund. No wonder it only has 23% graduation rate
Can never get a hold of anyone on the phone. So frustrating.
They stopped offering smog tech certs while I was in the middle of getting my smog tech cert. Supposedly they started it back up again, just a year or two after they dropped the program.... what a waste of time.
The school causes students to falter in the intermountain campus. Do discriminating funds spent elsewhere. Redbluff, weaverville, all other campuses have study room but us. We have to study in dirt and filth outside. As well as when we are aloud to study we get pushed out by Secretary making a cause for failure. If there is no other place we can study. Just think where are we to go when winter hits we are just out of luck. Im even handicaped and the access to writing lab math lab through the campuses nill to none. Its a constant fight. Nothings being done.
Poor accountability and doesnt actually review transcripts in the timeframe they suggest on their webpage. Retaliates against students for making concerning complaints. Would not recommend this school at all.
Trying to access my account has become virtually impossible. It has been a couple years since I took a class, so I needed wanted to take a class to re-certify. The problem is that to log in I need to know how they set up an email for me to use that email name to provide to make access to retrieve my account. Shasta College has made it so impossible to access my account. I don’t know why or how they’re still in business.
