Summer, Winter, no matter the season. This fantastic establishment is a great stop for anyone traveling along the busy NY12. So many menu options for food and the hard ice cream is homemade and it is the best ice cream around. Along with the low prices and high amount you get for a serving you cannot compete. Even living an hour away I will definitely be making this trip more often than not.
One of the best places to eat in Sherburne and the surrounding areas. Pictured is the special today, crispy chicken santa fe wrap and it's amazing. They need to add this to the regular menu. As always amazing service, food and atmosphere.
Oh Gilligan's, how do we love thee? Let us count the ways! Great burgers, great o-rings, great fries, great service and BEST ice cream! If you drive through Sherburne and don't stop here, it better be because you're going to your mom's for lunch. On second thought, take that woman some ice cream! She'll love you for it.
Not just great homemade ice cream?! Wow! I stopped through while visiting relatives in the area. I've had their ice cream plenty of times: Our local ice cream shop actually sells some of Gilligan's homemade ice cream but haven't been to the main shop in Sherburne in a couple of years. When we would stop, it was for their yummy ice cream and milk shakes. This time, I was looking for an easy and quick dinner. I ordered a Mr Howell burger and fries for takeout and that was by far the best tasting burger I've had in a long time! Fries were great, too. No wonder the place is always busy with patrons when I would drive by. Definitely will be bringing my family there the next time we are in town!

Giligans is a gem. My family loves coming here to get takeout. We don't eat in as they have no space for bigger people but the food is good and prices are fair.
I had a great meal here. I asked to see "the Skipper" to tell the manager how much I loved it, but the staff didn't seem to appreciate or understand my joke. Oh well!
This is just one of those neat places. I feel like I travel back in time when I walk in. The food and service are great. They have some nice hard icecream flavors.

I had the large dark chocolate home made ice cream cone. It was huge. More like a meal than a snack. I guess people usually get the small one. Very tasty, creamy freshly Homemade ice cream. Restaurant interior is cool, exterior could be spruced up a little bit.
Update...Ice cream is fantastic The wait for food was a tad long. The service good. Prices are high for portion. Ice cream real good.

Met some Army buddies here for lunch and we were all very impressed. Nice size burgers, huge onion rings. Very friendly staff. Not to mention it seems like the only place in town you can sit down and eat that's open on Monday and Tuesday. Very impressed.

I always hit this place up when I come back to NY to visit family. My dad is a frequent flyer here for the milkshakes alone. But everything I've had there has been delicious 😋
We stopped for ice cream while passing through. It was very busy, but it moved along quickly. I tried the fruity pebble and Irish cream soft serve. It was amazing. They also have a food menu.
We have been getting soft serve from the takeout window for years, I’ve been wanting to try a burger and fries. Today I finally did it. I ordered a Gilligan’s burger, large fries and a large vanilla malted shake. Tons of food! Hot and crispy fries, a shake that barely came through the straw, and the burger was well dressed with crispy bacon. All in for $20. The place is clean. The staff is super nice, and if they see your pups in the car, there are dog biscuits too! Highly recommend this place and I will be working my way through the menu as we travel through Sherberne.
The happening place. Not a native of New York but my wife and her family grew up with trips to Gilligan's. Indoor and outdoor areas, ice cream and more, drive thru as well. Nice place to visit and reminiscing about the time this place is named after.
This is Sherburne New York's best kept secret. A Hometown Ice cream shop that has many great flavors of ice cream and great food also. They constantly do fundraiser for there community to give back. Check out the many flavors in photo. In our last trip in March of 2019. We found a reason to go there 5 of the 6 days we were there. Yes it's that darn good.
Great food! The daily specials are fantastic and wallet friendly. The place is BUSY when the weather is nice out. Be patient and respectful to the staff when it is crazy!
The Buffalo chicken sub was just chicken tenders, topped with cheese, lettuce, and ranch... disappointed. I asked the girl on the phone if the onion rings were breaded or battered, and she replies " I honestly don't know" and never answers. After seeing them I understand why she may have been confused as they were the most sickening things to look at, and not in a good way. They were dripping oil, soggy and very thick onions, burnt in only a few spots, and the crust oddly just slid right off. Huge disappointment as I absolutely love onion rings. The curly fries are honestly just the same as Arby's. For spending almost 30 dollars on a dinner for my partner and I to spilt it was utterly disgusting. I would have been better off putting my tenders on a hot dog bun.... *Update: stopped in for ice cream and ended up throwing it away and getting a refund due to their being hair and other objects in it, pictures posted*
