La Fogata quickly became my favorite place of all time whenever I'm in the mood for some yummy Mexican food. Whether the shrimp, fish, carnitas, or chicken tacos, or a breakfast dish, you will get your monies worth. It is all delicious! The service is wonderful too - Giovanna, Julian, and pretty much the entire staff are friendly, attentive and kind. The ambiance is nicely decorated in traditional Mexican style, kept clean and very inviting. The outside is cute and also nice to sit at especially if you want to enjoy watching some sports. Overall, if you've not tried them yet - YOU MUST!!

I’ve lived in the valley on Magnolia for 10+ years and we have been going here for the entirety of our time. The restaurant is gas. Red sauce - gas💃🏽 Tacos - gas💃🏽 Churros - gas 💃🏽 Salsa - gas 💃🏽 Refried beans - also gas Toda la comida es GAS! so it’s a 10/10 recommendation for me. **gas= bomb/fire/delicious!

I had a surprising excellent meal at La Fogata. In the valley overnight again, and I didn’t want a Mexican place “on Ventura”. Sherman Oaks and Van Nuys are not far away so I took a chance. My luck so far has been great. This is old school Mexican with two important features I appreciate. No waiters and fountain drinks. Order any combination you can think of and there’s a number. Real salsa and outside seating. I had the 7 with beef taco Marshall and chicken enchilada. Yummy, especially the beans. Not sure what they did but dare I say “homemade”? Reasonably priced and delish.

8$ MARGARITAS (poured in a big glass that will make your smile last) Great Mexican place in Sherman oaks. Every other Mexican restaurant in Sherman oaks is overpriced and too fancy. I like my Mexican food because it's plentiful and tasty and well priced. Daisy just opened up on Ventura blvd.... Way too expensive when you're trying to enjoy Mexican food and get margaritas. Come to La Fogata THREE MINUTES DOWN THE STREET instead and enjoy your big plate meals without emptying your wallet. Outdoor and indoor seating! YOUR CHOICE. Great service from staff. Food service was fast! Parking is small but you can park across the street at the park super close (unlike like any restaurant on Ventura bld where you struggle to park and people yell at each other. Music isn't too loud. Heat lamps outside for when it's cold. Inside has AC lots of food options and all kinds of salsa and good margarita and beer options

We love La Fogata! Best hard shell chicken taco in California. Listen to that crunch:) We love the salsa bar- mix the mild and hot to your liking. The guacamole is fire. And the tortilla soup is perfect on a cold day- good for vegetarians too!

Carne Asada is very special it has very distinct taste seasoning is delicious highly recommend. Also the beef tacos hard shell very good. Tried there champurrado sooo good
