The exact same as the location in duarte. The seafood option and quality of food is 10/10. You can’t seafood anywhere this cheap and so fresh. The wait is far less than the location in Duarte and potions seemed a larger. It’s a very small location but the food speaks for itself inexpensive fresh delicious seafood. Amazing wish they had some adult drinks
Friend took us for fish tacos. They were very good. The shrimp and octopus is also completely delicious. My husband got the buche, which he always judges a taco place by. He said it's one of the best he's ever had, anywhere. I never had buche before, and I thought it was delicious. So, that taco impressed the expert and the noob! Our friend says the horchata is good, and they have other traditional soft drinks. There's so much on the menu, I wish I lived closer!!
I had the fish taco, a ceviche tostada, and a crunchy shrimp taco. The first two were good, but the shrimp taco was amazing. I would definitely recommend it.
I had to get a quick bite to eat after a meeting in Sierra Madre. Tacos Encenada was recommended to me. I got a couple of carnitas street tacos. they were really really good, a good size and just the right amount of spice to them. A great meal.
I eat there once a week because it's convenient and fast and affordable and the shrimp tacos are the perfect 3 delicious bites that I never get tired of. The beans are creamy and delicious as well.
Best (battered) fish I've ever had. The civiche was almost as good as my wife's. The noon hour lineups of working glass hispanics confirmed the legitimacy and value of their menu. Careful! The self-service peppers' spiciness can vary wildly--some slightly more spicy than a green pepper, some spicy like the jalepenos that they are. Will deffinitely stop by every time I'm in Sierra Madre.
Best ceviche and carne asada tacos. My family loves their burritos. It is in walking distance from where my friend lives and we try to pick up a meal when we visit. The signage is really busy with graphics and hard to read so give your self a minute extra to pore through it. Or just order a ceviche and carne asada tacos to go. Enjoy!
I am very impressed with this place. 1 dollar fish tacos on Tuesdays and 1 dollar Carne asada tacos on Thursdays?? That's amazing bang for your buck. Especially if your poor 😢. Their tacos are loaded too, especially the fish tacos. So fetching good Brother 😂
On a summer weekday (Tuesdays are best) you can’t beat this sleepy slow moving small town of Sierra Madre. Located on the main drag, this place is the go to for fish tacos. They offer other seafood 🍣 including carne and carnitas. However the fried fish tacos (bogo on Tuesdays is the deal of the day) are excellent. While waiting for your fried fish tacos, get some red onions and limes to add to your meal. Sit outside or take a short walk down the street to the Buccaneer. They allow you to bring in food. Another short walk east and you’ll be in downtown Sierra Madre with more food, pizza, sushi, Irish bar and dessert.
Fast service and the cost is very reasonable. We go for the fish tacos and vehicle, but their asada and chicken tacos are really good. They only give a small amount of salsa and you have to pay more for extra, which kind of sucks but they have free lemons, lemon pickled red onion and chilies for free. I would recommend this place.
I love this small Mexican restaurant and go here every time I travel to California. I always order street tacos and my preference is Al pastor. Three tacos is a meal for under $10. I also had guacamole and it is almost all avocado, not a bunch of fillers. This place is mobbed during the week for lunch. Worth the stop if you are in Sierra Madre.
Best tasting Mexican food around! This location is smaller than some, but they do have a few tables outside. $1 fish tacos on Tuesday, and they churn them out super fast! We ordered 15 tacos and they were ready in like 6-7 minutes!
Love it. Excellent fish tacos. Meat tacos are good too. Grilled shrimp burritos are awesome. Really like their salsa roja, got a good heat and a decent flavor but also isn't overpowering any of the flavors of whatever you're eating. Also that seafood sauce is bomb
Best spot for $1.50 Taco Tuesday!! Fresh fish, delicious slaw and crema. Salsa verde is smoky and flavorful!! Obviously a fan of the toppings bar, seasoned jalapeños, pickled onions and tons of lime wedges. I want to come back every week!
So on Tueadays and Thuradays they have deals and by far my favorite item is the Fish Tacos. The salsa they give you is top notch but I'll say the green salsa is superior. On Tueadays it's 1 for 1 on Fish Tacos and on Thursdays it's 1 for 1 on Carne Asada, Pastor, Chicken, and pork. Sadly i love the Fish tacos so much that even tho it's Thursday and I get a craving I just get the Fish tacos. Highly recommend.
Fantastic seafood tacos! The fish was fried to perfection for the tacos, the veggies were fresh, the flour tortillas were soft, and the crema on top added terrific flavor. The rice isn’t your typical ‘Mexican Restaurant’ rice, but it was tasty with the beans. I’ll certainly be back again to try more of their seafood options.
Great service, the price is right (about $2.50 per taco) and everything was delicious! I tried the fish and shrimp tacos, but preferred the fish.
I only and always eat the Pescado a la Plancha here, so my review and scores are specifically for this delicious plate.
Great street type tacos but with a generous portion of meat and great flavor. All meat Burritos are so good I always have to add one to my order for lunch the next day.
This 8s their Menu. I know it is in Sierra Madre but stilyet it is the Bomb. Straight up meat brah and generous rice n beans, not refritas. It filled and did fill. A good time was had by all and their hot sauce represented as a solid B+. This was a Sunday so maybe they were pleasing God but it was an A experience.

very secluded and unexpectedly good taco place. the variety of fish and shrimp based options completely fulfilled my vegetarian needs.
Fresh and tasty food, generous portions, and priced just right! Best fish tacos!
I haven't tried the entire menu, but I have tried a lot and so far everything is good. Fish tacos are fantastic, all the meat tacos are great too. Nachos is always a family favorite as well. Condiment bar is awesome with roasted chilis, onions, and lime. Their red and green salsa are so tastey as well. I frequent this small chain. They have daily specials too!
5 star tacos, period. This place is always full, there is always a line, and there are always people waiting for take away. The service is great and friendly, prices are reasonable. Highly recommended, I love it.

Small place with 5 tables inside and another 5 tables outside. Overall good food, but I look forward to their Tuesday and Thursday taco specials. Great prices on those days. However I was surprised that they dont make enchiladas. But I plan on going back for their tacos.
Fish taco Tuesdays for a dollar a piece. Dollar taco Thursdays for other types of meat. A good place to get a quick bite. Will try their soups next. Their "all meat" burrito is really just meat. No cilantro or onions, but it comes with a lot of meat. Good food.
This place is pretty decent. All I really get here are fish and shrimp tacos. And I think those are pretty darn good. If I'm going out on a limb I get a bean and cheese burrito. No fluff, no nonsense, just a burrito to the dome that makes me fart. 🙂 Anyway, I think it serves better food than the other place in Sierra. Madre that's just my opinion. Service is fast and there's some good people working here. So come here eat a fish taco and shut up. Love, me. 🙂😘
Carnitas was good. Al pastor was mid and the lady taking my order accidentally put extra stuff on my ticket and I didn't realize until it was too late.
Let's dive into a cozy little gem in town, Tacos Ensenada. This spot may seem small at first glance, with only three tables tucked inside, which does make it a bit snug. It's perhaps more suited for grabbing a bite on the go, especially since one of the tables seems more like a spot for waiting on takeout rather than dining in. But don't let that deter you; the charm of this place lies beyond just the seating arrangement. For those taco enthusiasts among us, Tacos Ensenada shines on Taco Tuesday and Taco Thursday, offering tempting deals that are hard to pass up. A personal favorite of mine is the Al Pastor tacos – a flavor-packed choice that's a must-try for anyone visiting. Now, a little tip on parking: it's a bit of a unique setup. I recommend heading over to Memorial Park first, then make your way from East to West to enter the parking area. This little detour might seem like a bit of extra effort, but believe me, the tacos at the end of the journey make it all worthwhile. In essence, Tacos Ensenada is the perfect spot for those looking for delicious tacos without the fuss. It's about the simple pleasure of enjoying good food, even if it means eating it somewhere else. Whether you're a local or just passing through, make sure to give it a try – especially on their special taco days for an extra treat.

Delicious and authentic for a good price!
THIS PLACE IS GREAT FOR TAKE OUT BUT PARKING IS TIGHT AND THEY WONT ALLOW ACCESS TO THE RESTROOM, SO NOT A GREAT PLACE TO STOP FOR LUNCH OR SIT TO EAT.
Grade A- (90): The food is good, Tuesdays they have But one Fish taco, get second one free. Other days they gave other specials. Fish, Shrimp Taco are good, they have a fried potato taco that's amazing, have to try the asada still and the burrito. A lot of people come to order after 11, it takes a good 20min for the order, they are fast once you order but sometimes it takes 10min to get to order. Tried calling before coming, I was still on hold when I came in 🤣. Don't try to order online it's taking you to a weird site that seems like a phishing site, tried to tell them. Anyway, I come here often, food is good.

Thursday’s are Meat Tacos for $.99 each. I ordered the Tacos de Al Pastor. It was mildly spicy but I didn’t like the taste because t tasted like the tabasco overcame the marinated pork flavor. It’s a small place and really busy and crowded. Hard to get seating although they have outside seating on the side street. In Tuesday’s, Fish tacos are for $.99 each.
This Branch is not as good as the one in Duarte. The employees are not very friendly but the food is good. Please work on the customer service. Don't let the place go down, you have great food. Will return another day and hope you guys talk to your staff about better customer service.
The tacos here are great. Very tasty. And very reasonably priced. I felt good at supporting what felt like a family-owned business. What's disappointing is the experience of ordering and waiting for food. The menu on the wall above the counter is poorly translated and confusing. It's a shame, because it's clearly intended to be permanent. Also, the overall experience is chaotic. No way of knowing where the queue is for ordering, so I inadvertently frustrated the regulars who somehow already knew where we were supposed to line up as compared to where to stand to wait for your order. Also, because there is lots of noise inside, and with masks on, I was unsuccessful at getting the person at the register to hear what I ordered. But because she didn't repeat my order back to me (or I couldn't hear that she did) I ended up not getting one of my orders. And because the line was so long (8 people behind me) I felt crummy about cutting back in line or interrupting the next person who was ordering to add one more taco. So I just did without. But it didn't make me feel good about my experience. Oddly enough, I ended going back much later the same evening, and even without a crowd the process was still confusing. People who waited outside for their food couldn't hear when their numbers were called during either visit. Also, the woman at the register was pretty unhappy the whole evening and was not even trying to hide it. I'm not sure I'll go back very soon. Clearing out the sign clutter and creating a more organized process for ordering and waiting for food would really improve the experience. For example, tape on the floor for waiting to order, and then having people wait outside for their food would be better (as long as they have a way of finding out when their number is called). Better communication overall would help a lot. It might even make things more enjoyable for the woman behind the register.
So this place is on point when it comes to Tacos. However when it comes to burritos it needs a hell of a lot of work. I was pretty happy with the asada meat but the problem is the use white rice and their burrito which doesn't hold the elasticity of when they wrap up the burrito so as soon as you open your burrito you're already shaking off white rice trickles from the burrito. It wasn't that it tasted bad it just you knew something was off about the burrito because it's not using Mexican rice. I also got the nachos without meat and I was expecting to see liquid nacho cheese and guacamole but instead I got shredded white cheese with a little bit of beans and slices of avocado. It tasted okay but I feel like I could have just made this at home if that was the case . This place brings in a lot of foot traffic when I got there I could definitely see people ordering regular shrimp cocktails and Tacos so next time I'm going to keep just with that.

Customer service isn't the best, but I highly recommend the shrimp tacos. Standard Mexican food for a reasonable price.
Tacos are just average but their chicken tacos pretty good. This is a basic Taco spot.
While I was sitting waiting for my food I watched the lady cleaning the restaurant touching trash and then using the same gloves she had on to package peoples food! It was devastating. When she gave me my food I made sure to say something. I told her make sure you change the gloves! I watched you clean and then you’re using the same gloves when you handle peoples food. She gave me a look but didn’t have much to say. Ugh not good!
The food is not the best just being honest. I only go there because I don't pack my lunches as before. First time was good maybe because I was hungry. Wish there were more options in that area for Mexican food
Closes at 10 pm? Some9ne needs to buy the staff watches. Called to order at 933... no one picks up! So I drive over. 944 pm as I write this. I drive up. Closed sign on the door. Staff is inside. 3rd time this has happened to me. Food is good value for the money... but staff needs lessons in customer service.

If there was a minus rating it would be given. I do not understand how this place has been given such high ratings, these are obviously locals who are not familiar with Authentic Mexican food. I ordered beef tacos and later that dayI had the runs. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and a week later I ordered nachos with beef. The nachos had cold shredded cheese which was not melted and the beef was cold and dry. The sad thing is, this restaurant is walking distance to my residence. However. I would rather drive down to "Tops" on Colorado, then to walk to this restaurant. I am sorry but I cannot recommend this place.
The food was great but the cashier Paulina was terribly rude to my father and I and to many of the customers after us. She was very short tempered from the start. It is obviously hard to understand through the mask and she was very frustrated that I was having a hard time understanding her. I will not return even though the food was delicious.
This was my first time eating at this place , although I do want to point out the lady who took my order was very rude by the time we walked in the only thing she said was “I’m only taking cards” not a simple how are you ? By the time the next customer arrives she gave him the good customer service with “hi how are you” like are you serious?? Even when I asked her if they had jamaica she was very blunt about it and just pointed where the Jamaica was. And when our food was ready, she just said “it’s ready” and threw the food on the table and walked away. She was really rude about it. I felt offended. Never coming back here again
I was only given the option of 1 star as opposed to 0. Now this isn't a review on their food because their food is actually pretty good they do need a wider selection but the best thing there are the fish tacos now but I am making my review concerned upon is that I was told the possibility of getting a job that they're hiring there were signs on the door about it and when I went in to give my information the lady that was there globally was a manager was very kind of nice about it so I gave them 5 days to call me now that it's Thursday the 2nd I called them this morning the manager told me that she gave my information to the owner in which I was told that they would not be hiring anyone but giving one of the other cashiers more hours my issue with this is that they did not have the courtesy to call me back and tell me this while I waited for this opportunity and this is the second time that I was let down by this food chain so if I were you don't even bother trying to get employment here because they aren't going to help you out
The lady at the counter tonight, I watched as she messed up another's order and never rectified it. She took that attitude with me, and let her off the hook because retail is hard. Her piss poor attitude wasn't the only thing wrong. I've eaten at the Duarte location many times, but this time, went here and absolutely regretted it. Congealed salsa, super salty burrito ( inedible after 1/2) and a super wet burrito that I asked for no sauce, and here I am, with piles of slop.... We both got a sick feeling 1/2 way into this disaster of a meal. Cheap food at a gross price. Up your standards and skip this place.
They do not offer restroom, which I find extremely disrespectful and annoying. Never again stopping at these locations. I'll make sure to head to the Alhambra one.
Bad customer service. 4th time with wrong order, decided to call. Kept getting hung up on and after 10 minutes of trying to get them to understand what happened, they told me to needed to drive back for refund. 20 minutes later I’m back, get the money and then they told me i needed to bring the food back and demanded I return the money. Of course they didn’t say it on the phone I needed to bring the food back that literally totaled 6 dollars. I decided to walk out as they yelled at me. I ended up bringing the food back anyways and when I walked in they all laughed that I actually came back with the food…. Such a disgrace of an establishment to act like that
Double and triple reheated meet, no pride in the craft of the cook, how dare he send some meat like this. It would have cost him nothing to put 3 cups of fresh meat, very lazy and badly trained cook, or the owner is the same. There’s no room for businesses like this they will eventually fail.
I love eating the shrimp tacos from here but today when I ordered it I noticed something on my shrimp. They left the intestinal track where the shrimp poop is in the shrimp still. More than half of the shrimps had it. Couldn’t even eat my food
