Sierra Nevada offers a great experience with a beautiful venue and top-notch service. The beer is highly praised, and the food is generally well-received, especially the wings and pizza. Some find it a bit pricey, and the kids' hot dog is not recommended.

Great Atmosphere! The inside is so modern & the back patio is a great place to hangout. Rachel provided great service. The presentation of the entrees & deserts was impressive. I stopped in while on vacation, but I wish I had somewhere like this local! Such a good spot to hangout in the evenings.
The food and beer and the service were all excellent. We had the pretzel and beer cheese for a starter. The beer cheese is particularly tasty and comes in a little frying pan very hot. My son, who is a vegetarian, had the hazy little yuca tostones and loved them. I had the pale ale burger with bacon and it was lovely. I had one Mumming and Guising 10oz, which is 12% ABV, so it's about like drinking 10oz of wine, so be warned. Delicious though.
Suggested by my best friend - an absolute great experience! Experienced the Buffalo Trace tour in Kentucky, this one blew my mind as well. Property is HUGE with plenty of ambiances and well BEER! Tour was insightful, fun, and well paced, bravo! Absolutely worth it, we got to taste 4 beers as well at the end. Their tap room is perfect, I sat at the bar which was very convenient. Prompt attention and hospitality. Had their pretzel with beer cheese as a snack, to later check out their outdoors area (which I was not aware of until our bartender told us there was another kitchen outdoors too!) Spent about 2.5hrs there, and do not regret a single second of it. Would give it a 1,000 stars if possible. Gift shop had a little bit of everything for everyone, could not resist their sticker pack, and of course taking a few beers that are only available at their brewery! A great way to celebrate my birthday week 🥳
This is a great place to go when you need something to do for the afternoon, but just want to hang out and enjoy yourself. The restaurant has loads of places to sit, but call ahead for a reservation if you have more than four people. The service is fast, and the food is all very fresh. There aren’t loads of choices, but most are made to share so order a few things and just enjoy grazing. There is often live music and a beautiful trail to walk that leads to a little meadow down by the French Broad. You can easily spend hours here and have a great time without wearing yourself out or running all over the place.
Loved the wide selection of beers and the warm, welcoming taproom! I liked it so much, that I visited twice during my trip to Asheville. The bratwurst platter was also stellar.
Rarely do you find a brewery that has awesome food and awesome beer. Sierra Nevada has both in spades! Their brick oven pizza and wings are some of the best I've ever had. They offered their staples as well as several beers only brewed for the brewery. Washed all the great good down with two flights (split between the wifey and I). Was stil hungry so I went with a side of collared greens which were absolutely delicious. After lunch, went for a self guided tour of the facility. The place is massive! First time I got to see actual bottling and canning on a massive scale. Really cool to see. Got to see it all while drinking a pint! SN offers outdoor seating and several walking trials as well. If you call yourself a craft beer enthusiast, then you absolutely have to stop by Sierra Nevada! You won't be disappointed.
Decided to stop in for appetizers and drinks before heading back home. We were shocked at how big and beautiful this brewery was. We did have to wait for a table but that’s expected on a Sunday afternoon. And let me tell you it was definitely worth the wait. All the food we had was absolutely delicious!!
Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. is a beautiful place and definitely worth a visit. They have an amazing brewing facility, and the tours are very interesting and well done. The food is good, and the employees are super nice, attentive, and helpful. The space is huge, so it never feels crowded, and the overall atmosphere is great for relaxing and enjoying good beer. Highly recommended if you’re in Asheville!
I went with my best friend on his birthday because there was a new beer he wanted to try. I was super impressed by the service. The first time I went inside normally I wait in the car while he goes inside to purchase beer our waitress was super nice. They gave us a free pretzel and didn’t hassle me for being a Designated driver. I was very impressed with the service, especially with the size of the establishment.
Has never disappointed in the 5+ years I’ve been coming and it arguably keeps getting better. For as big of an operation that they run it is a well oiled machine, and you’re never once asking “where’s my waiter?”. I think the food speaks for itself and is in the upper echelon of “brew-pub” fare but the drinks and service make you keep coming back. Bonus points for the incredible backyard!
Who wouldn't want to tour a brewery, and the Sierra Nevada Brewery was a no brainer. Came to the Taproom and had a delicious special pils, best I've had in a while. We ordered the pepperoni pizza and ribs. the pizza was good, but the ribs were amazing. they literally fell apart they were so tender and so flavorful. After we finished eating, we did the self tour and walked through out the brewery. We were there on a Sunday so there was no production going on. There's lots of outside space for sitting, playing games and a small stage for concerts.
A few weeks ago, we went to Asheville, and one of the main places we really wanted to visit was the Sierra Nevada Brewery. Honestly, it was such an amazing experience — we took the brewery tour, spent some awesome time there, and ended up hanging out at their restaurant for three days in a row, trying different beers and just having a great time. On the first day, we ordered the double burger, and I got their mango salad — though they were out of mango that day, so they made it with apple instead. For protein, I added beef belly, which was super tasty and something different. For my daughter, we ordered either the kids’ burger or nuggets — can’t remember exactly, but she loved it too. I actually ended up getting that same beef belly salad three days in a row — it was that good. And the beer… well, I’ve always liked Sierra Nevada, but after the tour, I became a real fan. Hearing their story and seeing the passion behind the brand was just inspiring — how one guy with a dream built something that, 45 years later, became a massive operation with an incredible team of brewers and staff. Highly recommend checking out Sierra Nevada Brewery, whether in Asheville, North Carolina, or California — it’s absolutely worth the visit.
The whole venue is put together beautifully. From the entrance, it sets the stage of what's to come. Inexpensive tours that are so informative. The menu is not expansive but everything i tried on the menu is outstanding. The duck fat fries, oh my... so good! Its a flavor explosion. Quite a few vegan options. I loved how their beer is incorporated into each dish. There is a expansive outdoor area with tables, Adirondack chairs, a huge fire pit, outdoor food and beverages. A nice stage and comfortably landscaped.
One of my favorite places now. The location is beautiful with a huge beautiful facility. Service was top notch right off the bat. Food came out so fast, so did the beers. One pizza was off so they replaced it immediately. It was amazing! Teriyaki Wings were the best I ever had! So good.
This was a very highly recommended spot in Asheville, North Carolina. Friends of ours from Florida mentioned that we needed to stop here. We did and was not disappointed. The only thing that seemed a little awkward was the food. Was there within seconds of ordering, which is a testament to their speed and quality I have to send my steak back because it was a little warm. I like my food hot but the experience was awesome. Food was great. Good combination of appetizers overall the whole family enjoyed it. Afterwards you get to go back and go look at their garden amphitheater walk the grounds very nice to sit down on some chairs that are in the back all throughout the ground. Afterwards, you get to go tour the actual brewing plant.
The food isn't what brought us to Sierra Nevada again, it was the ambiance and close proximity to the airport. The drinks were good (we ordered beer and wine), but what was served was average. The pizza was okay (our friend ordered it and he shared with us), I ordered a couple of appetizers, the smashed potatoes and the Yuca tostones. The potatoes were barely even split open and that was disappointing, but the creamy side dip it is served with was delicious. I would have preferred the Yuca to be crispier and saltier; it was just okay. My husband's wings were like tiny, bite-sized lollipop wings and he said the flavor was decent. The fries, although not hand cut, had the additional crunchy seasoning and coating on the outside that made them so crispy and delicious! I won't say we won't ever go back, but it isn't at the top of our list. Our server was excellent and I wish I remembered his name.
Overall, the unique experience. The food was delicious, including the duck fat fries, and the specialty wings. The beer batter pretzel was fantastic. Of course the beer was outstanding and having a flight was the best to compare beers. A little pricey overall but worth it. The environment was beautiful in the interior bar area, but unfortunately, we were seated in a not so nice patio area outside the brewery/bar. Definitely insist on an inside section/bar area seat.
The building is huge and very good looking. It's a very nice setup. It has different areas or zones for couples, families and big groups. Frank, our server was very efficient and attentive, giving us accurate information on the drinks and food, he was super nice. We came for lunch on Monday and the food menu we were offered was nothing like what it appears in the Google listing. It was mostly for sharing and fairly brief. We had the patacones, ok, and the Calambrian pizza, very very cheesy and quite spicy, couldn't finish it between the 2 of us. The beer was tasty. With so many breweries in Asheville I don't feel the pull.
