Be sure to make a reservation well in advance especially if you are planning on going during the weekend. The service was great and the food was amazing!
The jewel of Greer. Worth a drive. Cheese plate is fabulous, definitely try one of the several mussel servings, they do everything well.
My favorite place. Great menu selections, high quality food and outstanding staff.
This is probably my favorite place anywhere around the Greenville/Greer area. Everything I've ever ordered here has been great.
Great atmosphere and amazing food. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Amazing place. And surprisingly affordable. Not sure why anyone would eat at a chain place when this is available.
It was AMAZING. The food and serve were fantastic. The filet and duck melted in your mouth.
Went for a birthday and had a great meal. Love the atmosphere but it is a little loud
Awesome food, great atmosphere, unparalleled service. Will be going back soon!
The food is spectacular and the atmosphere is perfect for a date night or dinner with friends.
One of our favorite places, awesome food and atmosphere at reasonable prices.
The best restaurant in the Upstate! The meals are incredible and always perfect!
Love the perfectly wonderful surprises that seemingly dance over my tastebuds the food here is an art.
Fantastic atmosphere and innovative menu. Classics with a trendy twist. A must try!
Amazing food, great service, awesome drink selection.
Great food & atmosphere. Very friendly staff.
Been here a few times and we always love it! Great food and service - worth the wait! If you need a dessert suggestion, try the creme brulee. It's our favorite!
Loved it.... Went there for Birthday Celebration. However due to how COLD it was inside the restaurant on 4/25/2014 at 6:30pm. We rushed the dinner just to exit the establishment to get some warmth. Would not return for that reason.
BIN112 is awesome. The service was great and the food was delicious. The menu has a pretty good selection of options to let you try different things. The atmosphere is very nice and relaxing.
Great food, great wine and cocktail list, and great concept for a restaurant. I like how you can get most dishes entree-sized or in a smaller tapas size.
Food was top shelf. Awsome waiter David. Hostess very outgoing and personal. My wife and I always enjoy this time together at the Bin
Walking in to BIN you immediately walk into another big city. Jason & Lori really do it up here. Fast service, CONSISTENT tasty food, friendly atmosphere, and by far the highest quality food in downtown Greer. Thank you BIN 112 for being part of downtown Greer and serving this community ❤️
This place is just great. Great food, creative, feels new. Good atmosphere, professional and well trained staff.
One of the best meals I've ever had in SC, without a doubt. Excellent cocktails, outstanding filet and a great price. We will definitely be back.
Yummy shrimp and grits and fried green tomatoes. I enjoyed a friends birthday here. It was a tight squeeze for our large group but they made it work. Cozy intimate atmosphere.
Very elegant atmosphere and felt very cozy. The food was awesome and the staff was wonderful. The two best places in the upstate are right next to each other (The Strip Club and Bin) and recommend them both!
Amazing food and hands down the best service I’ve gotten anywhere, consistently. They’re knowledgeable and helpful when it comes to food sensitivities, and will even bring you gluten free rolls. They’ve got decanters, also, which a number of other nice downtown Greenville restaurants surprisingly lack. Go here— You won’t be disappointed. But definitely make reservations, even on a weeknight.
Awesome dinner all around. The steak and and the duck are great entrees, but the mussels are a must for an appetizer. Great wine selection, beer selection is pretty good. Nice atmosphere and wait staff, very good! Definitely coming back.
Awesome place with great menu diversity. We had a large group so we were in the wine cellar - nice atmosphere. I shared mussels and shrimp and grits with someone and both had amazing flavor. I don't go to Greer often but I'll make the trip to Bin 112!
This is one of the best restaurants in Greer. Be sure to stop in and request Ashley as your server! She will guide you through the menu like a pro! We had the fried green tomato salad with heirloom tomato chutney. It was amazing. Our entrees were great as well and exactly what we had hoped for, but most memorable was the service! Phenomenal job!
Don’t walk by this restaurant. BIN 112 is in the heart of downtown Greer, SC on Trade Street. The unique lighting, artwork and table placement all work together to create a warm and inviting atmosphere, yet elegant in its own right. The menu is varied; so there is something for everyone. My husband and I started off with the Flaming Kasseri, which was elegantly presented by our server Jordan, and yes, it is to die for. I liked that there was the option to order a small or regular portion for the entrees. I had the Smoky Mountain Beef Tenderloin, and I cannot say one negative thing about it. It was beautifully presented and the meat was tender and cooked to perfection. My husband had the Steak n’ Eggs, which I was surprised to see that on the menu, but that also was exquisite, and not at all conventional. To the hostess, the wait staff, and the chef, hats off. I give this restaurant a 5 star rating!
Fantastic food, we had salad, pimento cheese dip with bacon and fried green tomatoes, steak with sweet potatoes, asparagus, onion, and collard greens, and shrimp with grits and collard greens. The idea is to get multiple appetizer plates for a mixture of food, or entree sized portions. I probably would have been satisfied with a single one of the appetizer plates. The portions are smaller than what you would get elsewhere, but many restaurants tend to give you too much food which leaves you feeling like they're fishing for a tip by charging you more. The food quality was excellent. My only negatives: it was loud - it seemed that some people were shouting and it was hard to have much of a conversation at the table, or to hear the waiter. Also, our waiter seemed to disappear between courses, allowing both our water and tea glasses to be empty.
Attentive but not hovering waitstaff. Food, as usual was insanely delicious! Nothing on the menu is at all questionable...the difficulty is in making a decision. After Flaming Kasseri, a Bond Martini, & Maple Bacon Manhattan, Candy of the Sea it was (seared scallops to perfection). Topped it off with an Aztec Chocolate Bourbon.
This may be the best restaurant in South Carolina! Chef/owner Jason Clark has a way with food and the menu provides a wide variety of seasonal and local items that will keep you coming back. We are trying (almost done) to eat our way through the menu, returning a dozen times. The selection of mussels is amazing, steak and eggs is better that you could have ever imagined and the flaming cheeses are to-die-for. Dress is business casual (please take your hat off), but many go dressed to the nines as this is truly a world-class restaurant.
Fantastic dinner service. The mussels and salmon were especially good and our waitress, Jordy, made sure we had an excellent experience. We will definitely be back.
Outstanding dinner (duck) and staff. Looking forward to another great experience
I love their food -always wonderful and interesting!! The flamed cheese -forget the name -is to die for!!!!
The good: This place has a nicely balanced and creative menu. The wines by the glass selection could be broader, however, we found a nice bottle of wine that we really enjoyed at $25/bottle. The food was substantial in portion and delicious. We got the tapa sized entrees and they were a complete meal for us. We did have the flaming cheese app though. The Meh: They bring bread and chips to the table which I think is unncessary. There was no dip for the chips and no butter for the bread so it was quite dry, carby and unecessarily filling. The Bad: For whatever reason the noise level is quite high. It is difficult to hear each other at the table. Also, it was very hot in there, I was putting my hair up and fanning myself to try and stay cool. Lastly, the servers don't know the menu or the wines very well and attention was sporatic. We asked what cheeses we could get on a cheese plate and our server said, " Cheese? We have a goat, a cow, and a sheep." I said do you know what the names are or more info than that? and she replied, "To be honest, no one ever orders cheese plates here, so no, I don't." I was amazed! A wine bar that doesn't sell cheese plates? Wine and Cheese are like bread and butter! So we got this app, that was very good by the way, where they breaded the cheese and fried it and then set it on fire with tequila. But we really just wanted some nice, unadulterated, cheese to go with our wine.
The food option was awesome! Everything was good. The filet mignon was slightly over cooked though. Very nice service and decor
Celebrated my birthday there with my bae and it was quite the experience. Loved the cozy atmospere, the food was great and their birthday treat to me was second to none.
Love this place. Small menu, but great food. Excellent date night, but make reservations!
The food was amazing but small portions and the service was good. The restaurant was a little cramped tho. I enjoyed it but it's a little fancy and pricey for my taste but if you're into fine wine and gormet food, this would make an excellent choice.
Great food. Good price structure. Great atmosphere. A little noisy so if you are looking for cozy and quiet this is not the place. Mixed drinks are too pricey though.
I was really disappointed with my last visit. I came to bring my friend for his birthday, and I was almost embarrassed with our service. We had a reservation for 7 and it wasn’t ready on time, but when we were seated and we didn’t like our table and they happily switched it, which was very nice. Our waitress was not great. We ordered pretty much right away, and it took about 50 minutes for us to get our food. During that time our waitress never came to check on us. We had maybe 3 or 4 other servers come and refill our drinks, but she didn’t come. If she walked right past us and we would try to flag her down, she’d look at us and then keep walking. Even better—she’d walk on the other side of the restaurant on her way back to the kitchen to avoid us. When we finally got our food I got something on my plate I didn’t order. Instead of goat cheese tortellini I got goat cheese filled won-tons. I realized the switch after I was like, “I’m pretty sure I didn’t order this” and had to look at a menu, but she didn’t come by for me to say anything. Honestly, at one point, we thought that she left for the night because we hadn’t seen her at all for 20 minutes. Our food was good, and I appreciated the portion size and the food combinations minus the weird won-tons that they gave me with the Honey BBQ salmon. They also gave him an awesome dessert for his birthday. I’m giving three stars because the restaurant itself is good, I’m really just disappointed in our services. Maybe if the servers have too many tables, the management team should consider putting more servers on the floor on weekends.
First impression was not good, as the hostess was not very friendly. We did arrive 30 minutes early and ask if we could be seated, and were told our table was not available, and if it became available, we would be sent a text message, so we went for a walk outside to kill time. When we returned at our reservation time, she was friendly to the people who entered in front of us, so if you become a regular, you get a friendly reception, just not on your first visit. There were 3 open tables, that I could see, when we arrived and left for our walk and when we returned 30 minutes later, the same 3 tables were still available, but we were taken to a table for 2 on the other side of the room. The 3 tables were still available after a hour, and 1 was still available when we left an hour and a half later. Why we could not have been seated at one of them is a mystery. The place seemed too small for the number of people inside it, I wondered if it might be a safety violation for such a small room. The waitstaff seemed to have trouble walking between the people. The noise level was so loud, our waitress had to yell so we could hear her, but she did a wonderful job telling about our choices and serving our food. The food and the presentation was very good, but the value was not there, as we spend $70.00 with the tip and drank water. This is not a place I would recommend for a date night. But if your like loud conversation, with a bar scene, that has very good food, then you should try them and make up your own mind.
The food was excellent and the service was also excellent. My only problem was with my reservation, I had asked for a table with a booth type seat, (half chairs and half booth). I wanted a place where I could lay my 28 month old in case she went to sleep, which she did. We were there before and had the perfect place, table with booth seats behind the wall on the right. Apparently they don't want small children in the place because the are no high chairs. There were tables in the center and that is exactly where they put us. There were about 20 seats available in the middle and I thank only one other couple used this area while we were there. There were plenty booths available when we arrived but were told they were reserved, 4 people showed up 30 min. after we arrived, 2 more 45 min., and the last two, 60 min. after we arrived. I will try this place one more time, if I don't get the table that I request at my reservation, I will just walk back out the door. If my request for certain seating (giving the reason why I request certain seating) can't be honored, I thank I should be told in advance.
After visiting this place three times I have come to the conclusion that the food here is a little overrated. The flaming cheese plate is basically something similar to the cheese found on the bottom of a little Caesars pizza box after it's been microwaved a few times. However, the atmosphere is very trendy and it's not too terribly expensive. It can be a good location to meet friends.
We ate at the bar dinner, and had drinks. The bartender was so unfriendly, no customer service, i am use too. For the amount of money we spent service should of been better.
I really, really wanted to love this place. I had heard amazing things, but we ultimately walked away unimpressed, and surprised that we had to make reservations almost a week out. To start, we didn't go on a holiday, this was just a normal day fo the week dinner, so keep that in mind. We started out with the flaming Kasseri. My date loved it, presentation was nice, but I found it rather oily for a starter. Still tasted pretty decent though. Entrees were where we really, really fell short. Date got beef tenderloin medium rare, and it came out "blue", the level more rare than rare. She couldn't eat it, and it had to be sent back. The best restaurant in Greer shouldn't undercook a steak by magnitudes of that nature. To add insult to injury, the "corrected" steak came out on the same plate about 15-20 minutes later. In the meantime, I got a few bites in before they took her plate, but 20 minutes is a long time to eat while your date longingly things of her beef tenderloin back in the kitchen. I got a really good feel for the duck while it was still warm though, and it wasn't good. It wasn't "not good enough for the best restaurant in Greer" not good...it was straight up bad. One of the best parts of duck is a crispy, sinful skin. This duck had none of that. Even when hot, the skin was rubbery and chewy, with the layer of fat underneath entirely intact. It was awful to eat, as mouthfeel on rubbery skin with fat underneath sort of ruins the rest of the meal. Thanks to the horrible "redo" time on the steak, but the time her plate came back out, I was more or less done. Talk about an awful way to eat dinner. The restaurant was not, at all, busy at this time. Neither was our server. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 was that the beef tenderloin was actually pretty decent once it came back out although it was much more dry than when it left. (also important to note, they just cooked the same pieces up to temp, didn't bother making a new batch....the bites were still there.) Overall, a very poor meal experience, and we don't have plans to return. Atmosphere was nice, but loud. Service was noticeably slower than it could have been. Prices were way too high for the improper cooking we suffered through.
Very upset. This is our 3rd time coming and it was the worst ever! We was celebrating me and my girl 4 year anniversary and Valentine's Day we decided to invite our sisters and their significant others. We made our reservations a week before for a party at 6. But when we arrive to Bin112 we end up only being a party of four. Once we was seated at a table we realized it was too small. We asked the manager was there a possibility we could move to a bigger table or just put two tables together but it became a headache because the manager said it wasn't impossible and they was all booked up. But for the hour-and-a-half we spent their no one sat at the two tables in front of us. Finally after talking to our server and stressing our issue to the manager she let us combine two small tables together. So dinner went well until it was time to pay. My wife paid Jamie are waiter $120 cash for our bill that was $119 and some change. Me and my sister-in-law sat at the table for a little and filled out the comment card and then went to the bathroom while my wife and brother-in-law went outside to wait for us and clear the table. But as we were coming out of the restroom we get stopped by the woman at the door asking was we going to settle the bill. Im like what are u talking about my wife paid $120 cash and paid Jamies our waiter a $20 tip. And I said if u look at the receipt in ur hand you would see what we paid in cash and change due to us. We was very upset and embarrassed that she had to nerve to even come at us like that and the fact this is not even are first time but our third and it was the worst service ever.
