The people of Black Bear in Signal Hill where unbelievable. I am a regular customer there and had an incident occur within the restaurant, where I took a fall on the floor (No fault of the employees or furnitures.) But the employees and Manager came to my aide so fast, I looked up and they were there to help. An amazing restaurant, family oriented, great food, and friendly service. Trust and believe you won't regret going to this establishment.

Had breakfast with the family today & the food was amazing as always. An extra good experience thanks to our server chase, he was very attentive & accommodating despite the amount of tables he was waiting on & the amount of requests we had (It was pretty packed). He put a smile on all of our faces with his character and charisma. A lot of waiters/waitresses don’t have that same welcoming feeling anymore but Chase did. Thank you Chase see you next time. :)

Was initially told a 30 minutes wait since they were busy but we actually got seated in about 15 minutes. Our server Alain was super on it getting us our drinks almost immediately and topping off our party’s coffee without us having to ask even as he was visibly busy attending to multiple tables. We didn’t have to waive him down he kept checking on us. Food came out in decent time and was 100% worth the (expected) wait. Portions were more than enough for my grandparents who loved it and took leftovers but I finished my entire plate (build my own and highly recommend the cinnamon roll French toast). Came for my grandpas birthday and definitely coming back for mine. Hopefully Alain is still there!

Love love this restaurant!! Carolina, our server, was so energetic and sweet! She gave my boyfriend and I great recommendations on the food, made personal connections with us both, and kept a smile on our face the whole time. The food was also so delicious, and was prepared very fast! The atmosphere felt like a cabin getaway, with a very warm, cozy environment. Will definitely be back again!

Casual Diner. Comfort food. Great food selection, great service. They have multiple locations. Anytime I'm away from home, I'll look to see if one is nearby. Soup is great. Family friendly, and kid friendly. There's a Tesla Supercharger behind the restaurant.

Good options for breakfast, and everything on their menu is available all day. The servers were attentive and made sure I was good with my meal every few minutes. The bigfoot chicken fried steak was good, but I personally felt it was a bit underseasoned. They do have salt and pepper on the table so you can adjust the taste to your liking.

I visited this place with the wife, and these are my observations: We arrived at the restaurant and were greeted promptly with a nice attitude. The air conditioning was not running in a day where the temperature was about 90 degrees, so that was an inconvenience. There was some trash on the floor across our table, so this was a bad first impression. The good: Food portions are big for the price. Tha bad: No air conditioning running and presentation over all was OK. The ugly: Taste of food is just about average. Quality of ingredients is poor, and I guess that is why the food is not expensive. My wife got the pot roast plate and didn't go well... Summary: This is an inexpensive restaurant where you can get your money's run. However, be ready to sacrifice taste and quality as the food is just OK.. If you want to experience American cuisine at its best, I recommend lazy dog in Cerritos.

Overall, food was surprisingly good, tbh was not expecting much. I wouldn't recommend the fried steak it's more like meatloaf. I would rather get the salmon very good flavor. Veggies have a good flavor as well. The Salmon plate was about idk 20 or less. The turkey club was about 15 dollars or less. And the fried steak was about the same or less. Service was fast didn't wait a long time. I feel it's like a Dennis/ norms, not a super fancy restaurant, family friendly.

I have visited Black Bear in many states, and the food quality is usually consistent. I always order Hash brown when I visit Black Bear, but the one here was not the best I have. It should be crispy, but tough like hardboard, bet it was old, not fresh at all. The waitress took all the orders without taking notes, but misremembered the type of the sausage I ordered, and took long while to serve the right ones.

Went to this location they sat us in sits and gave us coffee and our menu , but no one took our order tried to get waitress attention but was ignored. then they sat more people they got there order take then provided with there food .. so we got up and as we where walking out hostess said have a good day and we let her know that no one took order .. she was apologetic , i did do review on there website and asked to get a call back .. but no one called me back have no been back since..

This place, every year their service is straight trash, yesteday around 9 am I came with my buddy, like 5 customers came after us, and they got their food before us and their 2 other group customers that came before us, just walk out and left. This is such a confusing resturant, like this happen before, but never in my life I seen that in my life that staff, just prioritize others and have people walking out hahaha, we got our food and the food was cold, we have to ask the OTHER waitress for our food, while the other waiter that help us first, he looks confuse and lost. He came back with the payment machine and left on table for us, for 5 mins, with all the options open up. HAHAHahaahhaahahahahha, piece of advice, you give us shitty service, you don't know who the we are, we actually well respect community members in the city, if don't like who people dress, don't do pick and choose, or do selective favoritism. Horrible breakfest experience
