The food has been consistently really good throughout my 4 visits there! During our last visit, the cashier, Spencer, was amazing! He was very helpful, great attitude and brightened our afternoon. The visit ended on a bummer note though because the soda was flat. I let an employee know & it took several minutes for him to get it (which is fine), but I don't know if it was him or the machine; the carbonation was never fixed even after he stopped working on it and said it was good to go. We were ready to leave and just tossed our empty cups. Overall, the experience was good. We will definitely return.

I can't say enough about this place. For one the food is great drinks are amazing!! And the atmosphere is great . The kids that work here are all good kids with great attitudes they are all very helpful ! I am so thankful I got in to see them finally and have visited multiple times now. I wish It was a drive thru with this same quality and speed this is way too perfect for Simi valley just for the busy moms with multiple kids would be so nice to have a easy pick up or drive thru options ❤️❤️❤️❤️ The breakfast burrito is so good so big and great price. And the chicken sandwich is so simple and so delicious I saw the workers get a bonus for names mentioned and I can't remember the names there's so many good workers but the one recently so helpful and sweet she said she worked at chick filet and she had darker hair cAnt remember black or brown . Very sweet girl 🙏 but all are great so far ! I know this is a long post and kind of all over the place but I had another visit in the beach house location and I am never disappointed with the customer service at this place I think whoever does the hiring also deserves a raise because whoever is hiring all of these kids is doing something right Peyton and destiny helped us today and they were phenomenal extremely kind nice and attentive I cannot say enough good things about this place it is so hard to come across good customer service especially in our town You guys are doing something right here 🙏

I've had the California Burrito & the Cali Smash burger. Both are delicious. The Cali Smash Burger is so damn good...!! I'd definitely say it's a better burger than even a cheeseburger from In-N-Out. Friendly, helpful staff.

Taylor help my toddler son and I with our order and she really made us feel welcomed and appreciated. Our California burritos, rodeo tacos, and fries were delicious. My son can be a picky eater but he loves Makenna’s beef brisket and eats it every time!

I've had the California Burrito & the Cali Smash burger. Both are delicious. The Cali Smash Burger is so damn good...!! I'd definitely say it's a better burger than even a cheeseburger from In-N-Out. Friendly, helpful staff.

We love the ice cream here. Our taco was also a very good. It was our first time here and we are definitely coming back. We want to try everything on the menu.

Ok so we love the coffee, it tastes great. When I arrived to pick up our order they said it get it was my complete order but I was short 1 drink luckily I called my wife to double check. I’m really not happy that one was 3/4 full and almost no whipping cream, the other was full of whipping cream and almost no coffee. The phone number is hard to find and the when you do call it goes straight voicemail and the voicemail is full. Update: I did go back for a second run and showed the cashier and he apologized and remade the drinks at no charge. Thanks for making things right. I changed my rating due to them making it tight. Thanks Dante!

I do wish the food tasted a little better- the burritos are hot and cold in certain places and don’t taste as great as other options, but the coffee is delicious and service is always friendly. We were helped by the cashier Caden and wanted to shout him out for being a kind and helpful person! Thanks guys.

Whenever there is a new place in our little town, we make a point of trying it out. Makenna is known for their delicious coffee. But now they have introduced new items to their coffee menu and a new location on Tapo st. At first glance, the beach house is bright, clean, and has a chill vibe. I love the neon signs and the fun colored chairs. We got in the long line and realized there was no menu. I looked at my husband and wondered where is it? We got to our cashier and saw two menus on the counter. The menu was not too large but it would have been nice to stand in line and browse a menu. I will add pictures of the menu to my review. We ordered the smash burgers and two choices of tacos. One was Mahi Mahi and the other was shrimp. Both were delicious. The smash burgers were small in size so if you are hungry, I would recommend the double smash. We also ordered the fries but they were not crispy. They were the only item we were not pleased with.... The prices were reasonable and I would definitely come back. Also for being very busy, our food came out fast. I was very pleased with that.

Makenna is normally really good about everything but the last two times I’ve come and ordered breakfast tacos, there has not been any salsa in the salsa bar and my wife LOVES her breakfast taco with the “GOAT” salsa. Gotta say it’s quite disappointing to give her something to eat but can’t enjoy it the way she likes.

My California burrito sucked. I guess asada is hamburger and there was no guacamole. To be fair I assumed California meant guac would be an ingredient. Also don't know why they wrapped it in foil the meat and fries they used were barely warm.

First experience, love their coffee, love good food with great service, have been to their other location, tried the breakfast burrito, expecting it to be great and best found instead it to be lacking egg quantity, and they use shoestring fries, of which when they're done right, crispy etc...they're great but found a oversized tortilla with very little egg, bacon, too much due to the lack of egg quantity, and inside was very greasy, and the shoestring fries where saturated with grease/oil, defnetly not what one would expect. They definitely need a health choice on their breakfast menu and need to revist the staff on the assembly and or content of the burrito. See photo

I gave it to my husband, who gave me his shrimp taco. Nope, same sauce. I had a bite, too, of his smash burger. Apparently, I'm not a fan of those either. We did come late-ish so maybe a breakfast trip some day.

I used to really like this place, but I’ve become very frustrated with this Makenna location. I feel like the owners have pulled a bait and switch, you used to be able to get a wide selection of drink rewards and recently they limited the size and type of drink you can get and the staff can’t even tell me what I can get with the multiple rewards I now have, not being able to use them. People spend a lot of money on coffee drinks and this comes as ungrateful to their customer base.
