Went into the diner and got some pretty good service, the breakfast was delicious, French toast and bacon with eggs was cooked perfectly, I enjoyed it immensely. Would recommend, plus the whole meal was rather cheap.

I make it a point to go to HOTS POINT at least 4 to 5 times during the summer down at SODUS POINT by the bay, the food is great and you can get ICE CREAM to. Plus there are some other stores on the same stretch that have other things available. There is a light house on the pier and a light house museum a few blocks away. Having grown up in SODUS and moved before graduating high school, it's nice going through town reminiscing my youth.

Love the food and ice cream! We always dock the boat at Keebler and pop over! The kids love the climbing toy too!

What a great lunch. We got caught by a rain shower and had to move to indoor seating. Service was awesome and we really enjoyed our meal.

Actually in response to some negative reviews (J. Budd) the restaurant was slammed with orders. I know because I was in line right behind you, and they clearly told EVERYONE that there was a 45+ minute wait for food. The kitchen is small and they can only prepare fresh food so fast. And you didn’t just place a small order, there where four kids and two adults in your group. They didn’t ask you to leave, they offered to refund your money because you were complaining about the wait. If you can’t wait like the rest of us, take your refund and find someplace else. Oh and btw every single establishment is slammed tonight, so if someone can’t wait, maybe go home and make a pb and j 🤷🏼‍♀️

I grew up in the area and remember Hots Point as a burger, hot dog, and ice cream joint. The new ownership has done a great job transforming it into something new while maintaining the feel of the original. The grilled chicken was excellent.

We hadn't been there since the new owners took over. It was excellent. We got plates. The burgers weren't overcooked and were huge. The hot sauce was delish, mac salad was yummy. Treat yourself and get one.

So I was trying to find some food on a Sunday for my kids. Unfortunately they were closed but the coolest thing ever happen. A dad and his daughter walked up to the window and they said they were closed and the little girl was so sad, the lady at the window decided to open up just for her and get her an ice cream cone. Was the cutest thing I’ve seen in a long time. That little girl was so happy. Way to raise the bar.

We took 2 of our grandchildren there before heading to the beach. We've been here several times. For quick food it's way better than McDonald's or Burger King. Eat outside on a nice day under umbrellas . Not bad.

Review UPDATE NEW OWNERS Tierra and Josh: Although the owners have changed the quality of food has gotten better! My best friend is obsessed with the BOOM BOOM Chicken Sandwich which is very popular here! I had the Strawberry Almond Salad with the Poppy Seed dressing it's comes with and the Raspberry Vinegarette it was Poppin! Pictures don't do it justice! It can get busy at times, but it's worth the wait. Pro -There is more outdoor seating available -The Still serve Perry's Ice Cream -They have a small seating area inside -You can order a beer & chill -They have outdoor games (jumbo connect four, darts inside, cornhole) -Great for families -Easy Parking when it's not holiday weekend Cons None I can think of! Ice Cream in the Summer is a must! This cute little spot in Sodus Point can get really busy, but the ice cream line moves fast! The have a ton of flavors at least 15 to 20 options as well as soft serve ice cream. Cute outing spot with the family or kids we enjoyed our Ice Cream waiting for the 4th of July fireworks!

New owners have done a GREAT job with all aspects!!! The grilled chicken is made to order on the salads, absolutely fresh and delicious!!! Great job all bringing us another food option in the point!!!

Excellent! Our young order taker, ice cream scooper and milkshake maker worked like a beaver and was not rattled once! He could have used a helper but didn't miss a beat! Make sure to tip him well!

All of the old negative reviews you see here are from the previous owner, the new owners have completely changed the place! I’ve been coming here for over ten years and this is the first year I would actually recommend it. We used to go there because there wasn’t much else, now we look forward to going.

The seafood hoagie was phenomenal if a bit messy (comes with the territory), the kettle chips that came with it were really good. Fries were great. Only complain was the chicken on the Caesar salad was a bit rubbery.

Absolutely 🔥! I had the Boom Boom Chicken Sandwich with onion rings—unreal. The sandwich was packed with flavor and lived up to its name. The onion rings? Addictive. The breading was to die for. 🔥🔥 Whole family came along (kids too) and everyone was seriously impressed. Great atmosphere, friendly service, solid drinks. Highly recommend—you won’t regret it.

I've only had ice cream here, but it's Perry's and always great. Service is always good. As someone with celiacs, I really really appreciate having hard cider and gluten free buns. Always make a point to stop here when in Sodus.

I was here a few years ago. It is under new ownership now and I was very impressed with their new menu - even though I went for their famous hot dog! The outside patio is very nice, and there is an indoor eating area for bad weather. Owners are very friendly and happy to be building the business. If you love ice cream, this is a great place to have a cone or cup after a meal.

Visited Sodus Point for a day trip to the beach. Hot's Point menu is an uncomplicated array of tried-and-true American cuisine, which they do very well! I had the Chipotle Avocado sandwich and my partner had a burger. Both were well-seasoned and cooked to perfection, juicy and tender. Our fries were cooked fresh and hot. Be prepared to eat this sandwich with a fork and knife, it's a big bite!

My wife and I have stopped here a few times this past Summer. What a tremendous transformation! The previous owner was always grumpy and dragging the place down. The new Owner has remodeled the building, the outside dining area, and the menu with great success. Nice job! The staff is friendly, upbeat, and the food is delicious. Hots point is open from spring until fall and is located across from Sunoco gas station in Sodus point, NY. The food is small and pricey but when you're out and about in the point and you start to get hangry it's a good place to stop and refuel. They have a pretty extensive menu and the facility offers indoor dining and picnic tables and a small playground outdoors. Nice place to visit when you're out and about and you're not poor.

Food was great but the woman there was rude when we requested something be left out on an order. Cashier was nice though. Edit- after the meal the cook came out and was very friendly, so changing 3 to 4 stars

I went last year on a Friday evening and there was a band with mature gentlemen. We loved it. We went late just to check it out and it was closed. We were told there is music sometimes and to check facebook for a schedule but I couldn't find one. I live in Webster. Do you have an entertainment schedule?

A few years ago when they had the napkin dispensers hanging on the side of the building we went there for ice cream and there's I took a napkin the thing fell on my from my head to the table top. The lady thought that it was funny didn't ask how I was didn't seem concerned if it had scratched my glasses. Dimmed offer any kind of compensation you could have had a free phone or something she just laughed and thought it was funny.

No sugar cones and no butterscotch topping what's up with that. Sorry but that only rates an ok. I did place an order and the quality was great and so was the service.

Disappointing. First time there they had very few choices of ice cream. We got milkshakes instead and they were very thin, like flavored milk. The next day we went again and this time they had no flavored soft-serve ice cream except vanilla, chocolate and twist. Just disappointing.

Service was pleasant. We only had ice cream but it was good. Place was clean but it could use a facelift. Went to use the bathroom which is around back. You need to ask for the key. No light and the hand dryer did not work. Could be they didn't turn the power on. Weird you could see light through the floor boards.

the workers were fighting and yelling at each other when i was trying to order. the pricing was unclear and not as printed on the menu (more expensive). along with that the staff was hard to talk too, either too quiet or too not wanting to talk at all to the point where it was borderline rude. i order a soft serve twist and only got vanilla but was charged extra. they were not on top of their flavor signs (the ones that you can slide in and out of the slots to change) and they were out of most flavors on there and lots of people didn’t get ice cream and left. i also was suggested by an older couple to not come here and visit a different ice cream shop. i also bought chicken tenders (5 for $7.59) but they were the smallest things ever. the tables were dirty and honestly unappealing to eat on.

We were there during ‘Summerfest’ and they had a duo of guys that tag-teamed a mic playing so loud it was mind numbing. I now understand the phrase ‘long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs’ only this poor cat wasn’t nervous he was being hit by every chair. My hid they were horrible and way too loud. On top of that the kitchen must of lost our order cuz four tables that came and sat and then after us we’re served before us, and not until we notified the server did they notice and then our food came - took 40 minutes to be served. Thankfully the food was really good.

Worst hash ever! Mealy, mostly potato and very salty. Obviously a cheap brand. Ordered eggs over medium and they were over easy(VERY easy!). Counter person was not friendly. Wish we'd spotted the food trucks across the street first.

The burger was awful. Grayish in color, no flavor. The pricing was off the wall. 43.00 for a burger and steak sandwich. No drinks. They brought out our takeout order. I said are their napkins and silverware? The girl said yes. I open the bag to find only 1 place setting in plastic. Well needless to say I was very disappointed and won't go back.

Service was horrible, the lady who was getting our Icecream got one order wrong so I nicely told her and she started talking about me to the coworkers, and slammed the window in my face.

The chicken tenders are the type where they clearly mash up the chicken and compress them back together. I couldn't eat them. Was very disappointed. Staff was friendly.

Horrible not busy just got a hot dog and cheeseburger, waiting over 40 minutes and all the workers stand around talking, told me if I didn't like it I could leave ,4 hungry kids

Extremely shocked this evening. 1st time going here with friends and i tell ya i was floored.... EVERYONE was extremely rude to us, and other customers. The food was trash, just like the "trash plate" they try to recreate from other businesses. THEN to top it off the women scooping the ice cream wasn't wearing gloves ir a mask. Absolutely disgusting, and absolutely the worst place in such a beautiful area... stay away...

My family comes to Sodus annually and we usually have an amazing experience. Today was a different scenario. The tall gentleman with the curl hair was soooo sweet taking our order and fixing the mistakes. The women at the window was a grouch and completely rude. There was also a younger kid who was completely rude and when there was a mistake he just walked away and ignored our concers. The inside scoop across the street will now have our business

Very rude women. Just had the worst attitude and acted like I was bothering her by ordering a cheese burger plate. There are way to many restaurants that actually appreciate my business and honestly have way better food than this place. Will not go back due to the wicked witch of the west

They were out of the flavor I asked for and hot fudge for my fiancé's sundae. Not sanitary with the owners smoking right outside the window leaning in. Not going back ever again.

I usually have a really good experience but today I did not. After waiting for awhile we asked nicely where the rest of our ice creams were and a young boy replied “we already got through your list so” with a attitude. I felt very disrespected. There was a boy who was nice and said sorry though. He was tall and had curly hair. Thank you to him.

Waited 30 minutes for our ice cream order tonight (08/16/23). The poor girl working the ice cream counter was crying when we got in line. She was taking orders from customers and then making their orders. The line grew to more than 20 people and she continued to work by herself and was clearly upset and crying. She began to just take orders and not make any ice cream. We could see into the back and saw two guys with beards and two other girls just standing around, laughing, talking, vaping, and eating while the poor girl worked all by herself. A customer finally yelled at the guys behind her that were doing nothing to help her. They sent another girl to the counter to help and then that girl yelled at the first one saying she took too many orders without filling them first. We won’t be back.

Location closes at 9PM and it was 8:30PM and I was told the grill was off but person in front of us was served fried food while we watched which they ordered two minutes before us. Sorry will never be back. I can take my business elsewhere. Don't like leaving bad reviews but when you deserve it you deserve. I just hope that was not the owner.
