Taco Grill Restaurant

I have only been to the Taco Grill for breakfast but it is amazing. It is authentic Mexican food. It also has a good feel to the inside. I like it that I never felt rushed to leave, and they kept refilling my coffee even after I was done eating.

2023-02-17 We stopped in for lunch at the Taco Grill on Friday, February 17. The food was good, the service was timely, and the staff was friendly. Overall, not a bad experience for a small town restaurant :)

Best burger in town ! Country comfortable with fast and friendly service. Taco grill just gets better and better. The lunch buffet is a simple but ample spread. Mexican American food at its best !

If you're ever driving through west Texas and are hungry, Taco Grill in Sonora is THE best place to eat. We had breakfast and the hash browns and ham and cheese omelet are the best I have ever had. A must stop when traveling through.

Absolutely *everything* I wanted in a small-town breakfast. The Huevos Rancheros plate? Hands-down the best I’ve had anywhere! Perfectly cooked eggs, flavorful ranchero sauce, and don’t even get me started on the homemade tortillas. Hashbrowns were crispy, coffee was strong, and the pancakes could double as therapy. Taco Grill, y’all are doing Sonora proud!

I was very pleased with the selection, service, and quality of food. It's a taco grill with breakfast burritos and such but I was in the mood for ham and eggs served with pancakes and hash browns. A very tasty breakfast, served surprisingly quickly

Listen, when you're driving into west Texas, the options for food and facilities get real slim, real quick. I was fully prepared for a mediocre meal at the only spot open for breakfast for 40 miles. But man, this place really impressed! They serve both Mexican and American meals for breakfast, so we got some delicious burritos (best beans of my life) AND I got a plate of yummy french toast and bacon. This place is a local gem I am happy to have stumbled upon.

The food is great. The staff owners and atmosphere is great. What else can you say?

Great cook to order breakfast and very accommodating to our low carb requests. The chorizo and eggs were flavorful with just right amount of spice.

Quick tacos made to order. Barbacoa was fantastic, Steak was stew-like similar to a guisada, but flavor was good. Chorizo and egg was a dud, dry eggs and very little actual chorizo. Cashier was friendly but the line cook was not, speaking some Spanish is helpful here.

Pretty good food, and decent service. Try the western omelette.

The lunch buffet was the freshest fajitas we've had in TX, as well as fantastic okra. Great, fresh food and a welcoming community atmosphere.

Breakfast burrito bar is tasty and efficient. Every bite of our chile verde and chicharron burro was delectable. Happy traveler!

Chicken taco was great. Hamburger was cooked great and fries were crinkle cut and delicious. Service was quick. Bathroom was clean. Restaurant was outdated but food was really good. Worth the stop.

So the food and price were great. My kids couldn't handle the spicyness of the food. Even for me it brought tears to my eyes. I would wnxo the owners to have a mild option, which they didn't have. Staff was friendly and service was quick.

passing through on the way to san Antonio tx, wanting breakfast for the family and Mexican sounded alot better than sonic. Got burritos to go, The beans were not that great and i have to admit i was opening smelling checking all of them out before i gave them out to my kids because of a previous review about cleaning solution in the rice. but overall it was good.

Nothing to write home about. Staff was friendly, food was just ok. If your only choice was Taco Grill or fast-food, I would recommend Taco Grill then. I have ordered omelette which was very bland and coffee which was pretty bad. Maybe other dishes were better and I just picked the wrong dish

Good place to meet and have a great meal Family friendly, strong emphasis on students returning back to school from lunch on time The waitress goes out of her way to ensure your meal is satisfactory and I appreciate it. .the place is clean.

Alright for vegetarian options. Warning, the refried beans are made with lard (pork fat)! The tortillas are probably the highlight of the meal. I think the value for price was ok, not great. A dish is $6-7, but on the small side, so it's only about half as much food as you'd expect at a typical restaurant.

We stopped here because we happened to see it on the way to Sonic. We were glad we did, the food wasn't the best Mexican we have had but it was flavorful. I would recommend it over Sonic.

Not authentic Mexican food. They served us pre made sausage patties, frozen shredded hash browns, store bought tortillas, fake salsa, the eggs were overcooked and the diet coke they gave me was over a month out of date.

Very rude!!! I understand that they close at 2 but my family and I were traveling and one family walked in right before mine mind you the open light was still on and it is 2:02 doors are not locked and once my family walks in the lady comes and tells us we are closed but didn’t tell the people in front of us it was closed. If I could put no stars I would hands down!!!!!

She scolded a less experience staff member in our presence enough the restaurant was 2/3 empty from the time we arrived. Go dine at the restaurant next door

Horribleeeeee. The food was tasteless tortillas cold they don't have cream for the coffe they took forever and everything is super expensive. When we came inside no one greeted us the only good thing was the waitress she was nice and keep checking up on us. The salsa is from a can not homemade. If you are passing through do not eat here!!!

Saw that this place had a great review, but left utterly disappointed. The chorizo egg and cheese taco had no flavor what so ever. The bacon was all fat. I would not recommend eating here. Try the place next door, hopefully they are better.
