Jennifer was absolutely amazing! From the moment she greeted us, she was warm, attentive, and made us feel welcome. She checked in at the perfect times without ever making us feel rushed, and she had such a friendly attitude that really made our experience stand out. Our food came out quickly, and she made sure everything was just right. You can tell she genuinely cares about her guests. We’ll definitely be coming back, and it’s thanks to the wonderful service Jennifer provided!

Excellent food. Had the burger salad with spicy ranch. My kid had the sweet potato fries with what Jasmine called the crack sauce. It’s marshmallow sauce and it throws you off. It was good. Cheddar steer, the works salad and the BLT. No disappointments experienced. I was pleasantly impressed with the simplicity of the presentation yet the sophistication of the tastes with simple ingredients. I live in New Orleans and the food palette is vast.

A nice little restaurant on the side of the Interstate. The restaurant was clean and seating was quick. My server, Jasmine, was attentive and checked on me several times to make sure I was good. Had the monzarella cheese sticks. The original burger, and tots. All came out hot and had good flavor. I will revisit to try other menu items.

We ate here passing through and it was well worth it. The food was great and well worth it. Wasn't a fan of the barstool type table we sat at but it was that or a booth. We will definitely stop here again.

You absolutely must try Jakes Burgers! During our visit, we used the drive-thru. Because each order is prepared fresh, this isn't the fastest option, but the quality and fantastic food makes the wait worthwhile. Our perfectly prepared burgers, the Bacon Bleu and bacon cheeseburger, were delicious, and the onion rings were truly exceptional. They had the perfect crunch and were the best I’ve had in ages. Jakes offers exceptional customer service. Everyone was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. This was our first visit to Jakes and we are excited to go back again and dine inside the restaurant. Their menu has so many items we'd love to try. If you are looking for phenomenal food and exceptional customer service, you definitely need to visit Jakes! This is a MUST to add to your dining list.

This was such a cute, easy lunch spot and the food was great! The buffalo chicken mac and cheese was rich and not too spicy and the burger is worth the stop. ALSO best strawberry shake in Waco!! The food wasn't greasy but had the fun dinner vibe to the meal. The weather was perfect for enjoying the patio!

Jake’s Texas Tea House (Interstate 35 Location) – 5-Star Review If you’ve only got one chance to visit Jake’s Texas Tea House, let me tell you: go for the Chicken Fried Steak. It’s the kind of plate that earns your trust the moment it hits the table. Golden brown crust, tender inside, with the gravy served on the side just how I like it—thick, peppery, and made to be portioned on your own terms. No smothering required. It stands up on its own. The sweet potato fries were a surprise hit—crinkle cut (first time I’ve had them that way), seasoned with what tasted like a touch of cinnamon sugar. Perfectly crispy and a great contrast to the richness of the steak. The Caesar side salad… let’s just say it played a quieter role in the lineup. The romaine was chilled but not crisp, and the parmesan was clumped at the bottom like a forgotten treasure. That said, Jake’s isn’t a salad joint—it’s about the hearty stuff, and in that department, they delivered. But now let’s talk Dr. Pepper. Not just any Dr. Pepper—this is Waco’s own, made with pure cane sugar, served ice-cold in a glass bottle, and poured into a frosted mug. That alone is worth the stop. There’s something almost reverent about the way it’s served here, and with Waco being home to the Dr. Pepper Museum, it’s like drinking straight from the source. I chose to sit outside on the patio, which added to the charm. Quiet, open air, a view of the sky—and it felt more conducive to savoring every bite. The staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive, which really sealed the experience. Smiling faces, quick service, and thoughtful touches like the chilled mug all added up. Did they have mashed potatoes that day? No. Did it matter? Not even close. The star of the show delivered, the sides backed it up just enough, and the atmosphere made it feel like a slice of home on the road. Verdict: Five stars. A one-time trip that felt like a place you could come back to weekly. Order the Chicken Fried Steak. Get the Dr. Pepper. Sit outside. Take your time. Jake’s is doing it right.

Great food at a decent price. If you haven't been, definitely add to your list. Been a few times now and tried something different each time. Shakes, burgers, jalapeño poppers, cheese fries, all great. Decent sized bar as well. Good location for friends or family outing.

The atmosphere was incredible, very laid back and casual dining. Food came out quick and fresh! Kiera was my waitress, she was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. She made sure I had everything I needed and very attentive to me, as well as other customers. Definitely a place to try! Ask for Kiera! ♥️

The food was decent but nothing remarkable. Wife and I split a Swiss burger, house salad and fries. The burger was cooked well and ample size. But not as flavorful as I hoped for. The salad was big but just a standard quality. The first boat of fries was burnt pretty bad. But the replaced it and the second ones were great! More browned than some may prefer though. Faith was our sever and she was attentive and provided excellent service. 4 stars without the service she provided (-:

Indoor and outdoor seating. Fast service, excellent food! I had the Works burger and my wife got the B.L.T. Both of us got fries and were happy. Fries where almost cooked too much but still good. Rest was just right.

They have a drive through, but with burgers this good eat at the restaurant! My burger and fries were both amazing. I opted for cheese fries and was not disappointed. The service was friendly and atmosphere was casual with TVs showing sports. I got the bacon blue burger and it was messy but tasted divine. I ordered grilled onions with it instead of fresh.

Came here because of past reviews. I’d say the burgers were subpar for raving to have the best burgers on the planet. I could get the same quality or better at in and out burger, for cheaper. The service was extremely slow. Waited a good 15 mins to get our drinks, when others came in and got theirs right away. Needless to say will not be returning. I would suggest somewhere else or make your burgers at home for the price you pay and it doesn’t come with the fries in the prices as well.

So every once and a while we venture to Dallas and some reason always happen to drive when we need a meal. Tired of the traditional fast food restaurants we happened upon this place. We were looking for a little more unique but still drive thru status if you know what I'm sayin'. These hamburgers are BIG. As big or bigger than my palm for sure. Flavor wise...maybe could have used a little extra seasoning for my taste. But, if your looking for something that's portion enough to fill your tummy and settle that hunger rumble - this is your joint.
