Really great music! And the service was fast. I ordered a burger and it was really juicy, I shouldve ordered the fried shrimp platter like my partner. It smelled amazing. Really good atmosphere. I had a really good time. It was also my first time going. I'll be coming again!

We loved Tequila Sunset we went a few times during our stay. The wait staff was terric, right on the water, the sunset from there was fantastic. Laguna Bob's is next door, the evening we were there they had good music. We could hear it perfectly from where we were sitting and it was not as crowded. Great stop, we will be back!

Very nice chill place right next to the pier with its own landing. The Margaritas with the beer in it was stellar!! Food was absolutely great, Baja fish tacos and got the 1/2 lb pick and peel shrimp was fantastic! Great service!! Definite stop if you visit South Padre!

Live Music, dance floor, if you want to get down. The musicians would sing Happy Birthday to patrons on request. That was cool. The restaurant was clean for an open space, the bathrooms were also clean They had people on the floor keeping the place clean and tables at all times, FOOD was delicious! Service was on point. It is kid-friendly and pets are welcome as long as you keep them on a leash. The view was beautiful! We will definitely be returning!!!

Still the best view of the sunset on South Padre Island. Great variety menu for everyone from kids to grandparents. Good food that is very well priced for families.

Views are great, but the house music was crazy loud and we were right by a speaker. Table right under a tree birds nest in and I got pooped on. Good times. Food was pretty good, but the fried oysters only came with maybe eight, and the coleslaw was dry.

This is a nice place on the laguna side of south Padre Island. At first it seemed to be a typical beach bar but food and drinks were surprisingly good. Great view of the laguna with a variety of patio shade options. There was a stage and, I suspect, it is a flat-out college beach bar during spring break.

Enjoyed a nice weekend lunch here. The outdoor seating was very nice with beautiful views overlooking the water. They had an excellent live performer. Service was quick and efficient. Fried pickle appetizer was delicious. Fried chicken sandwich was pretty good, fries were yummy. Fish tacos were a bit disappointing, as was the salsa. Overall a nice place to have lunch, with typical grill food.

What a great gem for us to find. Or maybe not a gem since it’s well known, but whatever. Tequila Sunset Bar & Grill is a fantastic spot to do it all. Watch the game, see live music, catch the fireworks; you can quite literally do that all here, plus watch the sunset too as the name implies. Parking is pretty abundant outfront and the place is very clean with a nice, open layout. The outdoor patio is dog friendly which is a plus since we never forget our furry friend. Onto the food, we ordered corn dogs with a side of french fries and their Hawaiian BBQ chicken wrap. Their corn dogs were solid as were the fries. It came out extremely hot which made it a bit difficult to eat but you can never really complain about a hot meal at the end of the day. As for the Hawaiian BBQ chicken wrap, it was absolutely fantastic. We were actually a bit blown away by how good it was since our food experience in SPI to that point was not very good, but this was downright great from the chicken to the tortilla and everything in between. On the drinks side, we ordered three: a piña colada, mango daiquiri, and banana foster’s colada. All of the drinks were okay, nothing too special to note other than the fact that they didn’t really feel like they had that much alcohol in them. To some that can be a good thing, but on these they just felt like they were a light pour more than so sweet you can’t taste it. Other than that, our experience here at Tequila Sunset was great. Drinks were decent, food was great, and what a view. We will definitely be back whenever we’re in the area.

Plenty of parking and seating and the live entertainment was great. But they were deceptive on happy hour pricing and they charged a 3% fee for credit card and did not tell ahead of time. Sorry, this did it for me. I won't be back.

Drove from Austin to have a nice lunch at a restaurant that was recommended to myself and my partner. Showed up at around 1:30pm to find the restaurant locked, lights off, tvs off. Huge sign advertising that lunch is at 11 am, so i’m unsure why it was closed and locked up on a sunday. Went to Tom and Jerry’s instead and was amazing service food and was definitely open!

Not a place to go if you need accommodations for food allergens. They couldn't garentee something as basic as a house salad be free of cross contamination. Either a lack of cooking space or infrequent sanitation procedures. Be careful ordering food seems to be held to low standards.

Bad review because our food had a hair fried right into it and the manager seemed like he could care less, never apologized or offered anything else. Just took food and walked away. No discount for the inconvenience or anything. Waitress seemed truly sorry. We drank our drinks and left. Place has a great location and I am sure they can do better but they need a new floor manager. Happy new year!

Disappointed in the service and atmosphere. I have 2 autistic sons. 6 and 5. Both went to the female restroom and the security guard demanded they go to the men's restroom. Absolutely not. They are children and on the spectrum. When I asked for the manager, management took forever. A clear sign that they dont care. Let's do better. Waiter took 15 mins to give us menus. And another 15 for our drink order. Never came back to ask about our drinks, we had to go to the bar for service. For the amount of money you spend, its a disappointment.
