This meal was amazing! From the moment I arrived for my table for one until I left it was delightful. Tonya was my server and did an excellent job. Walked me through the types of steaks and described them thoroughly which for someone who likes steaks still learned from and enjoyed. The bone-in tenderloin was perfect and served “Oscar style” with asparagus, lump crab meat and bearnaise. The crust below was flavorful and amazing. I added some seared scallops which were divine in their roasted red pepper and lemon butter sauce. The sautéed buttered mushrooms in sherry were a great addition and even the rolls at the start were perfect. The “Churchill Reserve” Cabernet Sauvignon was a perfect compliment to this meal following a starter of Lagavulin 16. Heading to a show at the Fox with the flavors still there. Highly recommended! Yes it’s a bit pricey but entirely worth it.

The size of the wine glass is comical. The rolls were nice and warm with a homemade butter spread with sea salt. The steak was surprisingly really good. Perfectly cooked with a peppercorn rub that gave it an amazing crust. I wasn’t a big fan of the carrot cake but it was a nice complement to my meal. If I’m ever back in Spokane this place will be on my list for sure.

Wonderful place with amazing steaks! Dress code, I guess none. My husband wore slacks and I was in a dress, thinking we dressed right. 10 minutes later we saw people in jeans and hoodies enter the restaurant. Other than that, amazing food and great place for date night.

Churchill’s Steakhouse delivers the kind of classic steakhouse experience you go out for when you want a real night out in Spokane. The steak is the star. Mine came out perfectly cooked—firm on the outside, tender and juicy inside, with deep, rich flavor and no toughness at all. You can tell they respect the meat. The sides hold their own too. The potatoes were hearty and well-seasoned, and the vegetables tasted fresh, not like an afterthought. Portions felt balanced—filling without being excessive. Service stood out in a good way. Your server stays attentive without hovering, knows the menu well, and keeps things moving at the right pace. Drinks deserve a mention as well. Cocktails are well-made, the beer list covers solid options, and everything arrives exactly as it should. The ambiance leans upscale and traditional—dim lighting, comfortable seating, and a calm, polished feel that works for date nights or business dinners. It’s not cheap, and while the quality justifies it, you’ll feel it if you’re watching your budget. Still, if you’re deciding whether Churchill’s is worth it for a special occasion or a serious steak craving, the answer is yes. You’re paying for consistency, service, and a steak done right. Also, the wine selection was incredible!

This is the most phenomenal restaurant! We had a party of 14. The service was the best I've ever experienced. Nice selection of cocktails, I recommend the Key Lime martini! Our server offered to do a steak presentation before placing our orders, making our choices easier. We ordered the seafood appetizers, everything was fresh and well prepared, the raw oysters were paired with an incredible sauce. The steaks were excellent, and were just as ordered. My sister in law ordered hers rare, she said it was the first place that ever got it right. Mine was medium rare, the perfect char and so tender. The steaks came with garlic mashed potatoes and the vegetables were snow peas. I substituted the asparagus which were cooked perfectly with just the right snap. Two of us shared a dessert, the Chocolate Sack with fresh berries, berry compote, mouse and pirouette cookies. So delicious and rich. Normally I would have taken photos of the meal, but only got the dessert (and the chandelier). I highly recommend dining here. The whole experience was incredible. On top of everything my valet knew how to drive a stick! Haha

Great place for a great diner. It’s kind of on the expensive side so don’t go there with a low budget. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It was a great experience and will do it again.

I am not stranger to fine dining, and simply put, this was one of the better dining experiences ive had in a pretty long time. I had been recommended Churchill's by a group of friends who had been there last year. They said it was very exclusive, so I made a reservation. The process of getting a table was very easy. They were moderately busy, but it was a non-issue. I enjoyed the decor very much. It had a very rustic, "old-country" feel to it. Everything was varnished wood, and made me feel very welcome. The obvious best part was the food. I began with a salad which was very good. I could tell they used fresh ingredients. But the reason I came was the steak, and I was very impressed. Simply put, it melted in my mouth. I asked for it rare, and it came out nearly blue-rare, but the taste was so rich, I overlooked it. Id also like to mention their extensive wine list and their very helpful waitstaff who was able to recommend a wine and scotch combination for my food that didn't break the bank. Overall, I had a very positive experience here. It was a little expensive, but you get extremely good value for your money. Id give Churchill's 5 stars and recommend it to anybody in the Spokane area looking for an elegant meal.

The steak was perfectly charred and delicious, the snails were fun to try, and the espresso martini was great. It’s a little pricey, but the dessert for his birthday was such a nice touch. The staff was friendly and made the night feel special.

My husband and I had a wonderful celebratory dinner at Churchill’s. The professional hospitality we received was truly exceptional. Our server, Shawn, went above and beyond by explaining each cut of beef to us physically. We learned so much about the different cuts and their unique characteristics. I opted for the Fillet Mignon, which was cooked to perfection and incredibly tender. My husband chose the pan-seared Sea Bass, which was the best fish I’ve ever had. Everything on the menu was simply delicious and exceeded our expectations. The rest of the staff, particularly the manager, was attentive and respectful, ensuring that our experience was truly memorable without being intrusive. Overall, it was an exceptional dining experience.

Upscale, classy & premium describe Churchill's Steakhouse in downtown Spokane for any special occasion or fine dining anytime. Old school flare, double white tablecloths, excellent service, warm & elegant interior, quality ingredients. The glass of L'ecole no. 41 Churchill's private reserve cab was superb & complimented the filet. The steak was properly prepared at medium rare but a bit more medium on the ends due to the charred edges. Not a fan of crispy onions that came on top of the steak. I didn't see any indication in the menu, but was glad the meat wasn't drowning in butter to hide its quality like many chop houses (ie. Ruth's Chris). Personally, I want to enjoy the meat w/o any sauce or toppings. However, a variety of topping add-ons are available to please any pallet. The crab cakes were some of the best, not ground or greasy! Crème Brûlée was complementary for our wedding anniversary dinner. Thank you! Low noise level dining, paid parallel street parking, reservations & business casual attire recommended. Best fine dining in Spokane.

I’ve been to this restaurant three times, with a mix of experiences. The first visit was outstanding, the second visit was good overall, but the third unfortunately didn’t meet our expectations. The photos are from our first and best visit, when we were seated right away in the comfortable, quiet bar area. The portions were generous, the service was superb, and we left genuinely impressed. On our second visit, we brought a group of four and, while it was a good experience, there were a few issues. I ordered my steak medium to medium-well, but it arrived quite rare. Thankfully, the staff handled it quickly, and we appreciated their attention to getting it right. The third visit, however, was a letdown. We ordered two steaks, one of which was overly charred, and the New York strip lacked flavor. Both were dry and lukewarm—a big disappointment, especially after our previous positive experiences. We’re hoping this was just an off night (maybe due to it being a Monday), and we plan to give it another try soon. Despite the recent experience, I still recommend this restaurant. The staff is consistently professional and friendly, and the space is always clean. I’m rooting for them to deliver another fantastic experience next time!

Our server was fun and professional. He was very knowledgeable about the steaks and made the experience that much even more memorable for our family. And of course, the food is insanely delicious! Highly recommend any of the steaks and the cougar, gold, macaroni and cheese!

Churchill's is always a great experience. The food, the ambiance, and the service is top notch. Had oysters on the half shelf for starters. Ocean fresh! I had the ribeye medium rare cooked to perfection. The rolls are even the best in town. The bread pudding desert was amazing. Not a bad old fashion either :)

My wife and I went there tonight for the first time. The atmosphere was perfect. Our waitress was awesome she was very attentive and kind. I got the cowboy rib steak and my wife got the Pacific King Salmon. We also got the cougar gold mac and cheese along with crab cakes. ALL the food was AMAZING!

My absolute favorite steakhouse and Spokane restaurant in general. It’s hard to find food of this quality anywhere. The filet mignon is one of the best I’ve ever had. Also, you can’t miss the desserts!

Visiting from Maryland & this is hands down the absolute best meal I’ve had. From the Oyster’s Rockefeller to the NY strip even the Mac N Cheese. If you’re doubting dinner here , trust me take the time and come here and you will not regret it. The experience, the atmosphere, the staff , the food is all worth it. I’ll sure to be back to visit when I’m back in town.

It is a very classy place, that's down home! Every time we've been in, they make us feel like we're the focus of the night. Checking on us. Explaining menu items. Steak cuts. Flavors. They are very attentive. T Last week my wife and I went in for our 25th Anniversary Dinner. I had ordered flowers to be delivered before hand to our table. When we got there, they were as beautiful as the occasion needed to be. We both had steak, which was cooked toniyr likings. The a companion dishes were just as good! They gave us a desert on the house.. a cheesecake. While I love my cheesecakes.. this one was among the best I've had

Very comfortable yet high class atmosphere. Staff were very polite, quick, and knowledgeable. Food was amazing! We had some of the house cocktails, oysters on the half shell, filet mignon w/oscar added, ribeye w/shrimp topped off with 7 layer carrot cake. The house bread served with butter and pink salt is delicious. Can’t wait to come back.

Amazing experience, the clam chowder was delicious along with the bread and butter. I never knew butter could taste so good. The crab a cakes are also worth trying! Stuffed chicken and also delicious! We also had the carrot cake and coconut cake, they were big slices and shareable servings, they were both worth trying!

We came out from Mukilteo to eat here for my birthday. Service was on point; our waiter was very knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. He had an answer to every question. The atmosphere is very comfortable and intimate. The best way to describe our meal is decadent. The caesar salad is literally the best I've ever had. Do yourself a favor and get it We got the filet and bone in filet, both were equally delicious. The loaded potato was so full of bacon, I don't think I tasted much potato. Very generous portions on everything. Both plates were packed up to go half eaten, as neither of us could finish them. Overall, our experience was top notch. We will definitely be coming back.

This was our first time visiting Churchill’s. The food was amazing, but most importantly the service was excellent. Our waitress perfectly timed everything. We never had an empty glass, and we didn’t feel rushed throughout our meal. When we left, we accidentally forgot our leftovers and they noticed and brought them out to us before we got in our Uber. We had such an excellent evening and will be sure to visit again. (Hopefully after they are able to bring back live piano!)

My son and I picked Churchill's Steakhouse for our special occasion. It did NOT disappoint in ANY area. The staff was very friendly. Our server, Sean F. was awesome. He was laid back but in a very calm, professional manner. We were asked a few times in between courses if we'd like to relax before seeing the menu or ordering. We never felt rushed or out of place. I've never in my life spent so much on a meal but it was worth every single penny. Our steaks were perfectly cooked medium rare. The mashed potatoes were to die for. We did not have a single thing that was sub par. Everything was beautifully presented, perfectly cooked and delicious. We had Scottish Smoked Salmon, Roasted Beet Salad, Caprese Salad, New York Strip steak, 8oz Filet Mignon, 5 Layer Coconut Cake and Creme Brulee.

Celebrating dad’s 60th birthday and he loves his Pepsi. The server said we have Coke products. Round of cokes later we are joking about how he can tell the difference. The server sent someone to go get my dad a Pepsi!!! NOW THAT IS A+++ SERVICE! So Amazing!

Fantastic steak! I sat at the bar and ordered the 8oz Fillet medium rare with a side of bernaise. Steak came out a little under done but was a really great dinner. If you are looking for that old world steak house vibes, this is your spot in Spokane.

Fantastic steak house in the downtown of Spokane. A hole in the wall but with a fantastic selection of meat. The service is great, hostess was friendly with a smile, waiter dress very professional, and even get a visit from the manager. Waiter came in with a platter of meat, describing from a basic filet to a cowboy steak. Explaining the details how the meat should be prepared to maximize your experience. The mashed potatoes extra cream and snap green peas had a great crunch. Escargot extra garlic if you want to push your palette. Of course finished with a crème brûlée with raspberries. If you like wine they have a great selection. I did not try any this evening. Want to continue on your experience, the have boxes of meat of your choose that can be a great gift for yourself and others

This place is expensive that’s for sure, but the food and atmosphere are definitely worth the price. My steak was delicious and I loved the jazz music I could hear from the bar lounge. I was sat immediately. All the staff were super friendly and attentive. If you’re looking for a nice night out, I would definitely recommend this place.

This was absolutely the best steak I have ever had. I wish I lived in Spokane because I would frequent this restaurant. Everything was absolutely perfect. The service was excellent. The bread and cocktails were to die for. The crème brûlée was brilliant. The atmosphere was relaxing and though things came quickly, we never felt rushed. HIGHLY recommend everyone tries this steakhouse!

Before dining at Churchill’s, we browsed the menu and wondered if the experience would truly match the price. From the moment we walked through the doors, we quickly realized it was worth every dollar. We arrived without a reservation and were still warmly accommodated, seated at a corner bar-top for our group of four. Initially, we questioned whether bar seating might mean slower or lesser service, but that concern disappeared immediately. Our bartender, William, greeted us promptly with menus, drink suggestions, and a level of professionalism that set the tone for the evening. We later learned that he was the only bartender for the entire two-floor establishment—yet his attentiveness never wavered. Appetizers arrived quickly, tasted fantastic, and from that point on, the timing of each course was flawless. We were able to enjoy our meals without ever feeling rushed. When it came time to order entrées, I asked William for his recommendation on the best steak. Instead of upselling, he confidently suggested the New York Strip—and it did not disappoint. Two others in our party also ordered steak, while my fiancée had the salmon, and every dish was exceptional in quality, flavor, and presentation. We ended the evening with dessert, which was every bit as impressive as the rest of the meal. Between the outstanding food, perfect pacing, and William’s exceptional service—supported by a friendly, efficient staff—Churchill’s delivered a dining experience that exceeded our expectations. Not only is the food worth every penny, but the service made the evening memorable. Thank you to William and the entire Churchill’s team. You are all truly amazing, and we look forward to returning.

Great service, good vibes—but the food didn’t quite leave a lasting impression. Churchill’s is definitely a solid staple to have in the city. The ambiance is classy, and the service was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and professional from start to finish. The food? It was good, but not exactly memorable. The filet was fine, but didn’t wow me. On the other hand, the lamb chops were the standout—flavorful, tender, and cooked just right. The crab cakes were the standout of the meal! Fresh and deliciously crafted. If you’re looking for a reliable spot with great service and a classic steakhouse feel, Churchill’s fits the bill. It may not be a culinary revelation, but it’s a safe bet for a polished night out.

Churchill’s Steakhouse unquestionably serves some of the finest food in Spokane. The quality of the cuisine is outstanding, and it is clear the chef is both talented and passionate about his craft. The steaks in particular were exceptional, and on that basis alone, Churchill’s easily stands apart as the premier steakhouse in the city. The risotto was cooked to perfection, the Cougar Gold mac and cheese is a must-have and a perfect complement to the entrées, and the crème brûlée proved to be an excellent choice to conclude the meal. While one of the steaks at our table was not initially cooked to order, management was attentive and addressed the matter promptly and with professionalism, ensuring the correction was made without delay. Their responsiveness in that instance was greatly appreciated. Regrettably, the same level of attentiveness was not reflected in the service we received from our server. His demeanor toward my party was dismissive and discourteous, which was particularly disappointing given the significance of the occasion. When he neglected to bring my water, his subsequent apology was delivered in a tone that came across as insincere and unnecessarily rude. This lack of professionalism cast a shadow over an otherwise remarkable dining experience. In summary, Churchill’s delivers an extraordinary culinary experience and demonstrates excellent management oversight. I would still recommend Churchill’s for its exceptional food and attentive management, but sincerely hope the quality of service will be elevated to match the high standard set by the kitchen.

Lovely atmosphere! The service was unbelievably good. Craft drinks were spot on and their wine list is one of the best I have seen locally. The appetizer list is unique to the area and we really enjoyed the escargot and crab cakes. All in all we were pleased with our evening at Churchhills.

Best steak I’ve ever had in my life. Oysters were huge, loved! Scallops were sub-par. I will honestly dream of this meal every night until I get it again! Worth every penny! BUT have to complain because the ice tasted MOLDY. We had the server remove it and it was so much better… how gross?! The place was dusty and felt old. All that to say, was still totally worth it for how amazing the steak was.

V
Victoria Callaway

It was a very nice dining experience. My steak was a little tough but I didn't want to complain. The 6 snap peas seemed like a very cheap side for such a nice restaurant and I was told there was no substitute since Im not a fan of snap peas. My company really enjoyed their dishes. The clam chowder and chocolate sack were my favorite parts.

J
Justin Anderson

This was a good, albeit overpriced steakhouse in the heart of Spokane. They try to fulfill the more “classic” picture of steakhouse restaurants. Sat at the bar and enjoyed my company, bartender, and piano music in the background more than anything else. The Caesar salad was pretty good - very lemony, which I appreciated. I ordered the bone-in ribeye steak, my favorite cut. Slightly disappointed in the way it was cooked, in that it wasn’t seared at a high enough temperature so it never got the crust or fat rendering it deserved.

V
Vincent Randy Heslop

A fine Spokane steakhouse with a classic chophouse approach from preparation to service. Oysters, lobster, prime steak, fish and fresh inhouse dinner rolls can be enjoyed here...

C
Carol Johns

I had a nice dinner at Churchill's but wasn't blown away like I anticipated. The beet/walnut salad was underwhelming as it was drenched in olive oil and the large leaves of butter lettuce made for difficult eating. The 8 oz filet mignon was not melt in your mouth wonderful like I anticipated although it was flavorful and tender. A surprise was that the steak was served with mashed potatoes and pea pods whereas the menu indicated everything was ala carte. Also, lovely fresh-baked dinner rolls were included. The melamine-like white plates are too small and plain to make for an impressive dinner presentation. Our waiter was very attentive. However, we were the only patrons on this Sunday afternoon at 6PM. The ambiance is top drawer although there are no windows. For $100, which was just the salad and steak dinner, I probably would recommend but not whole-heartedly. Sorry. I feel bad not to write a ravingly good review on such a respected establishment.

M
Michael Doud

Nice place with good service and a classy atmosphere. The steaks were fine, but honestly just average for the price—maybe we’re a little spoiled coming from the Midwest. Still, an enjoyable dinner overall.

R
Ryan B

I was told this place deserved a Michelin star and was the best steakhouse west of the Mississippi. Serving only a prime cut and no wagyu I knew they would be a tough sell. I came in and sat at the bar. I ordered an old fashioned. Their “signature” old fashioned is made with makers. Even a 1 star dive bar makes them with makers. With a restaurant of this supposed caliber I expected a better quality of bourbon. They really messed up when they used crushed ice. Everyone knows a true old fashioned is made with a single cube of ice. The crab cakes for an appetizer were good. Fishy for crab cakes but were good. The ribeye I wouldn’t feed it to my dog. All the seasonings and flavor on the outside are burnt to a crisp. For a medium rare steak in a high end steakhouse, this is unacceptable to have the outside burnt like that. Completely lacked flavor. For the price of $74 for a steak, I’ve had better steak at Applebees.

On September 22nd last year, a friend unexpectedly offered to treat me to a meal and brought us to this restaurant. There were three of us, all Asian, and we had made a reservation in advance. Despite many empty tables in the restaurant, we were led to a table directly in front of the restroom. When we politely asked to be seated elsewhere, a young female staff member at the front responded with a cold expression and reassigned us to a table just slightly further from the restroom—but still in the same area. Throughout our meal, we remained the only guests seated near the restroom, even though the restaurant was not busy and plenty of better tables remained unoccupied. It’s important to note that our server was actually very sweet and kind to us throughout the meal. The issue seemed to lie with the seating assignment, which was handled by the woman at the counter—possibly the manager. I’ve heard that discrimination can be subtle yet common in parts of Europe, and unfortunately, this experience felt racially motivated. What made it more upsetting was that I had previously visited this restaurant with white friends on a busier day—without a reservation—and we were seated in a much better area without issue. I can't help but question why we were placed near the restroom despite our reservation and the many better options available. Spokane may not be the most diverse place, but I sincerely hope future Asian customers don’t go through a similar experience. Though we didn’t complain at the time, as it was meant to be a pleasant day, I’m writing this review in hopes that it helps others. No one should have to pay a considerable amount of money for service that feels discriminatory or dismissive. To be fair, the food was genuinely good, which made the experience even more disappointing—because it could have been great if not for the way we were treated. I truly hope the restaurant addresses this kind of behavior and ensures better treatment for all customers moving forward.

Kylee Englehart

Well we thought we’d celebrate our 20th but should have gone to Clinks! Nothing tasted fresh, my steak medium rare but burnt to crisp outside that the only thing you could smell taste was burnt meat! No real chard would have been less. My husband fish was good. Service was great martini was amazing second best thing about my evening my husband always the BEST. Just a disappointing dinner but made the best of it.
