We had an awesome anniversary dinner here. First time trying it and we were really impressed with everything. Our server Sean was wonderful and attentive. He made great recommendations and we loved everything that we tried. They have mocktails and non-alcoholic beer which was a plus for us because we don't drink. We tried the taquitos and while we are not vegetarian, it was really nice you have options without meat. We loved them. The flavor was awesome. We got the lemon chicken which was really unique and had great flavor. The veggies were so fresh you could tell they were like same day picked most likely. My husband got the flank steak and he loved it. It came with potatoes and they were cooked perfectly and awesome. We got the coconut cake for dessert as well as the chocolate macaroon vegan ice cream. It was very cool to find out that most of the items are gluten free. My husband said it was the best ice cream he has ever had. We ate upstairs and the area was kind of tight but it was still very enjoyable. We were frequently checked on. E salads were awesome and we also loved the rolls. They gave us little chocolates for our anniversary which was very appreciative and they were very tasty. The only negatives I have are the area is a little sketchy and we chose to walk there from our hotel. I would not recommend walking in the area. And the only negative I could find in the food was that my parmesan polenta was a little colder than the other items on my plate. I feel like it was maybe plated first or something but it definitely had great flavor was, just a little cold. I was impressed and would love to try this place again.
Wild Sage always delivers! We made a reservation on a Saturday night before the holidays - very busy but we were seated right on time. Service was excellent. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The food was wonderful. Cooked perfectly and very flavorful. We ordered the fried brussel sprouts and taquitoes for appetizers. The house bread was 4 fluffy little turnovers with a whipped butter - very tasty. For entrees, my wife had the creole bucatini with shrimp (cooked spot on) and I had the pork tenderloin (always perfectly medium. For drinks, my wife had the signature espresso martini and I had the espresso old fashioned. Both were so delicious that we each had another. We skipped desert - only because we were pleasantly full.
Wild Sage Bistro is pure love from the first bite! The food is insanely delicious, every dish feels like a mini masterpiece, and the presentation? You’re eating with your eyes first! Everything is plated with so much care, like proper fine-dining vibes. The atmosphere is quiet, cozy, perfect for a chill dinner. And thank God, the windows are covered — no need to see the “horrors” of downtown Spokane! 😂🤪 Inside, it’s gorgeous, stylish, and just feels special. I’m definitely coming back and recommending this to everyone — a must-visit in Spokane!
We had a wonderful time! Incredible service from Brianna (pure delight)! The appetizers, drinks, and entrees were wonderful! So worth the experience! We will be back.
Best experience I’ve had at a restaurant in such a long time. Love the food and atmosphere. Our waitress Bri (apologies if I got that wrong) was absolutely amazing, her attitude was great, very knowledgeable, and friendly. Definitely coming back!
This was my favorite restaurant during my visit to Spokane. The food was delicious and the service was great. I wish I could remember our servers name because she was great and so helpful. I ordered the pork tenderloin and it was incredible. There was so much flavor and I was so glad I got it. My colleague got the bucatini and said it was really good as well. They also brought out some bread with the most delicious sweet butter. 10/10 experience and I would absolutely go back.
This place is incredible. Awesome service the 20 years I’ve been going. Here’s what the food looked like on busy Saturday night. The chef visits each table to answer any questions and check on the food.
The appetizers blew us away! The taquitos and the ahi tuna crudo was amazing! All the ingredients that made up the plate was impressive.
Tonight was our third visit to Wild Sage and what we’ve found is that this restaurant NEVER disappoints! We tried their tácitos and now we see why people rave about this appetizer. It’s the perfect blend of crunch, spice and creamy avocado! We love their bacon and blue cheese salad and have gotten this every time we’ve eaten there. There’s something very satisfying about this flavor combination that has us committed to repeating it with each visit. Their light popovers with lavender honey butter are divine and are bordering on an addiction for us both. We tried the bouillabaisse and agreed that the rich, savory sauce pulled all of the flavors together and made it a winner! We ended our meal with their signature coconut cake that, I’m convinced, could solve the world’s problems—oh my, is that heavenly! Our hostess tonight was Sophie (a friendly, bubbly girl who welcomed us and made us comfortable from the start), our server was Mike (knew the menu very well and was able to make some great recommendations for us, he timed the delivery of each dish perfectly so that we weren’t left waiting for the next course), our cook was Logan (very talented chef who made every flavor pop!) and we even met the owner, Garth, tonight. He’s a great, down-to-earth guy who has formed a fabulous team that performs together like clockwork. We had an excellent meal and an enjoyable evening! We’ll be back soon because we love this place!
Wonderful experience and delicious meal. Staff was very friendly and competent. The beet pistachio salad is a must. I look forward to my next visit.
If I could give more than five stars, I would. We've eaten at many of Spokane’s top dining establishments The Davenport’s Palm Court Grill, The Osprey, Clinkerdagger, Churchill’s Steakhouse, and Masselow’s at Northern Quest. Each has its moments of brilliance, but Wild Sage doesn’t just stand out it leads the pack. From the moment we sat down, every dish was a masterclass in flavor, balance, and execution. The food wasn’t just good it was spectacular. Rich in creativity, yet rooted in comfort, each plate felt like a story the chef was telling, and we were lucky enough to listen with our taste buds. The chef who created this menu, and the entire kitchen staff behind it, deserve Michelin stars. Their attention to detail, ingredient selection, and flawless technique were evident in every bite. The flavors were bold but refined, familiar but inventive and honestly, we found ourselves saying multiple times, “This is better than any meal we’ve had in Spokane — ever.” Wild Sage is officially our new gold standard. If you think you’ve experienced the best of Spokane cuisine, go here — and prepare to be humbled.
Hands down the best mushroom soup I've ever eaten! Great service and fabulous food. Every bite was amazing! This restaurant comes with my highest rating.
Wild Sage was amazing, we sat at the bar to grab some quick cocktails and apps before heading downtown and ended up having a great experience. Alex at the bar had some great recommendations for us, the Taquitos were out of this world! The kilt lifter and the H.F. Bean Old Fashioned were both great. The real star of the show however was her custom taken on an espresso martini which I want to name Arabesque Aurora. It. Was. Amazing! Definitely make your way here and treat yourself. 10/10 will be going back.
Delicious! This was recommended to us by a friend. It set a high bar for our trip. I started with the blackberry limeade non-alcoholic drink. I asked for a little less simple syrup and it was refreshing and delicious. We shared the ahi tuna appetizer and the sauce (chefs kiss). Took everything in me not to pick up the plate and drink the rest of the sauce. They bring popovers with a delicious lavender butter. They aren't too heavy before the meal. I got the duck confit on a recommendation. I loved it. It was slightly sweet with the sauces and sides so if that's not your thing, maybe don't choose that. That dish needs someone who wants to work around the plate to craft the perfect bite because when it all comes together, it's perfect. My husband had the Bouillabaisse and loved it. We both got an affogato to finish the meal. Staff was very friendly and while we didn't feel rushed, food service was pretty fast.
Absolutely, hands down, the best food in town. With amazing service staff that will treat you well that keep in mind any food allergies or preferences for a comfortable dining experience for all! The polenta fries and popover with lavender honey butter are to die for, and everything else on the menu aims to satisfy and leave you wanting more! This is, and will always be, our go-to for special occasions and family gatherings. 10/10 cannot recommend them enough! The chefs and bartenders know their stuff!
We were blown away with our experience from start to finish! We did the Brussels for an appetizer, lobster bisque soup, then my husband had the salmon, and I had the duck. Everything was absolutely devine! An anniversary I won't soon forget!
This was a small restaurant with very personal service. We arrived and were offered a table across from the bar. I requested someplace a little more quiet, and they accommodated me with no problems. We started out with a prosciutto appetizer. That was phenomenal, see photograph. I ended up ordering the chef special, Duck 🦆 and it was one of the greatest dining experiences of my life. My wife ordered a Cajun dish and she was equally satisfied. We seemed a little under dressed for the venue, I would recommend business casual at a minimum. I’m really grateful that I chose Google to help me make this restaurant decision. The star rating was well deserved. I’m glad we saved room for the crème brûlée, topped with a huckleberry comport, and an oat brittle cookie. We shared it and talked about how great our experience was all the way home.
A wonderful experience. Fantastic food and lovely atmosphere. Drinks were excellent. I had the taquitos as a meal and loved every bite. Our waitress was attentive, personable, and knowledgeable.
Service, food everything I experienced here’s the best in Spokane so far. Definitely my favorite place to go in special occasions.
Our server Annie was AMAZING. It was my best friends birthday and I wanted to treat him to a special dinner. This was an amazing surprise for us all and the food was spectacular. The lavender honey butter ans popovers, the amazing lemon chicken and the burgers....dessert and cocktails....this place has it all. Just make sure to make a reservation! Oh and then can accommodate gluten free!
Wonderful experience! We ordered several starters and mains and all of our food was delicious! Our server Sean was extremely helpful and personable! The atmosphere was lovely and inviting. They offer tons of gluten free and vegetarian options. Great for someone with dietary restrictions.
All around wonderful dining experience! The food is amazing, presentation is beautiful, and the service is great. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday, and he is very critical of restaurants when we go out to eat. We both had nothing but positive things to say about the meal and experience from start to finish. We will be coming back anytime we are in town!
The food and service was wonderful! Definitely a hidden gem. We will be back. We took dessert home.
Amazing service from Mac at the bar, she's a gem! I ordered the pear salad, filet mignon entree, glass of red wine and the cafe afagato for dessert! Restaurant is clean, staff is friendly and attentive, as usual. All foods were absolutely phenomenal! I'll be back!
Had a special meal out with the family. Great dining experience. The wait staff was attentive without hovering. Service was leisurely as you would expect for a fine dining experience. Flavors were complex and layered with clear French influence but with examples of American and Mediterranean cuisine present as well. The menu is ale cart but the prices are varied and there are great choices at very different prices. I wouldn't recommend it for young children, but when the family is ready for fine dining this is a good choice.
The service really stood out to me here. Perfectly timed, and we didn't feel rushed. Our food was excellent and all the drinks were delicious. I highly recommend trying this place. I will definitely put this one in the rotation when Im looking for a fine dining experience again. We were upstairs in the loft area, which felt slightly cramped with a full crowd up there. But nonetheless, it was a great experience. I recommend making a reservation.
We are visiting Spokane from Edmonton, Alberta (Canada), and chose this place because of their ability to make almost every dish gluten free. We were blown away by the amazing service and food. Having Celiac, they were able to accommodate. And our server Annie was amazing! I would definitely come back!!
Wow. Just wow. My husband and I are foodies that love to try new foods all over the city and anywhere else we travel to. My sisters bought us a gift card for our Anniversary last month but instead of paying for our dinner with it, we saved it (lol) so it forces us to come back again. We will definitely be back asap. Our waitress Briana, was a total sweetheart. The food was phenomenal and the atmosphere was so warm and inviting. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves tonight and cannot wait to go back. Thanks for existing, Wild Sage! Cya next time 😀
Amazing service and food was incredible. Started with the taquitos and lobster bisque which were both delicious. The scallops were perfect but the lemon chicken was our absolute favorite. The combo of chicken, polenta, bacon and asparagus made for an amazing bite each time. Be sure to top of your meal with the coconut cake. It’s to die for.
Had resservations and were seated immediately. Our waiter was at the table quickly and took our orders for drinks. By the time he was back we were ready to order and I asked for a recommendation .. duck or halibut. I ordered the duck and a bacon blue cheese salad both of which were divine. Cooked perfectly, beautifully presented and all our food was up at the same time. Our waiter was Sean and he was so professional. I used to work at dukes on Queen Anne Hill in Seattle and this restaurant reminds me a lot of that. I really appreciate the excellent service. He didn't hover but he was there to clear every empty plate immediately. The atmosphere and the restaurant was casual but very classy. Not too noisy but relaxed and friendly. My friend had the pork which was also outstanding and my other table mates had the halibut and the lemon chicken. Everything was perfection. Will definitely be back.
This is one of those dining experiences that leave you satisfied on every level! Every bite that we put in our mouth was savored. They make all of their sauces, gatrics, coulis, including what they put in their innovative drinks! And very artistic presentations! From starters to desserts.....perfection! Thank you for such a wonderful dining experience!
The food and service were great. I had the duck and my husband had the burger. I recommend the briwn sugar pistachio martini for dessert. So good!
This meal and dining experience was by far one of the best I've had in a long time. I wanted to go somewhere excellent for my birthday and remembered this gem. Being celiac, the gf options were abundant! The gf bread brought to the table was lovely and a perfect touch for gf diners to feel included in the experience. I ordered the Scarlett Queen, beautiful twist on the base of a cosmo. You could taste the fresh juice and craftsmanship in the cocktail. I had the pork belly appetizer that was crisp and tender, the kimchi... whew, delicious. I went with the Chef's Special, Almond Crusted Halibut. I believe I counted 4/5 different sauces with a treasure of fresh and perfectly dressed vegetables. I can not put into words how delicious this entree was. I was captivated and for a birthday entree it was a delicious treasure trove. I chose the coconut cake for dessert... so damn good. Thank you so much for a beautiful dinner. I don't think I caught our server's name, but she was excellent!
Probably one of my new most favorite places in Spokane! My GF is always looking for fancier places when we come into town and this was a perfect balance between more exotic menu, but not so exotic that I'm clueless (and put off) about what to get. Started with their Yukon tacitos, which sounds odd, but were really good! I got the Meyer lemon chicken and it was the best ever! Lemon sauce was so amazing!! GF had the lamb which was also really good. They also had really good non-alcoholic drinks! I had the hot apple cider, GF had blueberry basil martini which she also said was really good. Creme brulee for dessert was so good too! Oh, and, for the bread they give you, it's some airy popover thing with lavender butter!! So so good, and not so heavy! Service was obviously top notch as well! Would definitely return!
Definitely one of the best meals I’ve had in a while! Expensive & worth every penny! Waitstaff were happy & excited about what they were offering - if staff is happy, the vibes don’t lie! Drinks were tasty, food was delicious! Excited to go back!
Wild Sage Bistro was far more excellent than I anticipated! I had a good feeling, but the website does not effectively capture how great this place is! We had the pork belly app, the duck, and the salmon...what an amazing combo prepared perfectly! The drinks are top notch as well! We will be back every time we visit Spokane!
Always enjoy the cuisine here and truly appreciate that the menu rotates. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, especially with dietary requests. I'm never disappointed!
We had some really great meals during our visit to Spokane but Wild Sage Bistro was far and away the best. We sought this place out specifically for their ability accommodate a person with Celiacs. They did not disappoint. Our server was well informed, generous, and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious. I wish we were able to have more than one meal here during our visit.
We have been to Wild Sage 4-5 times but it’s been about 5 years since the last time. I’ve been gluten free for about 2 years. I didn’t say anything about it because I can handle small amounts and I just usually order accordingly. First of all, service was amazing, as we have always experienced. Secondly, the waitress brought over bread, noticed quickly we hadn’t touched it and asked about gluten intolerance, I said I am but it’s ok, I just avoid as much as possible but wasn’t too worried about it for our special occasion (anniversary). She let me know they had gluten free bread available and would bring it over. She also told me everything we had ordered was gluten free (even though I didn’t ask and was prepared to make it work if it wasn’t since their food is amazing!). Every single thing we ordered was incredible (Polenta Fries, Chowder, Salad, Duck, and Chocolate Torte 🤤)! They have a great wine by the glass selection and our waitress (Brianna I think) was incredibly attentive. Seriously can’t recommend Wild Sage enough. I so hope we have many more special occasions here!! Thank you all for a beautiful evening!!
This place was a fantastic treat. Service was attentive and efficient. The chef checked in with the table to make sure everything was to our liking. The popper bread were to die for. We had the burger, salmon, and creole bucotini, all were delicious. We highly recommend if you are in Spocompton.
Had the pleasure of going out to dinner with some colleagues to the wild sage. We were able to reserve the large upstairs area. We were able to enjoy several of the items on the menu and everything absolutely exceeded my expectations. We had a gentleman taking care of us who was also wonderful. And clearly whoever was behind the "curtain" however many of them it was, created a flawless experience. I most certainly will be back and would encourage anyone else to try it out.
We dinned here as a treat for a special occasion and it really delivered! The resturant was busy but didn’t feel crowded or loud, the atmosphere was elegant but not pretentious. Best of all, the food was really really good. We had appetizer, main and desert and all was delicious. The depth of flavor in the mushroom bisque was amazing! I had the chicken and my partner had the duck, each piece of the dinner, the meat, the veggies the sauce was perfectly prepared and paired exactly with the rest of the dish! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a special experience!
Dinner and appetizers were absolutely delicious, and there was plenty of food! Service was fantastic. Our server was great at checking in with us and recommending dishes. We did come here for an anniversary dinner, we made reservations for a Saturday night, that was a good idea as they were busy. The only downfall was that we were put upstairs next to 2 large parties that were very loud. We could barely hear each other. Once both parties left, it was much more enjoyable. Would definitely come back!
We enjoyed a nice early Sunday dinner at this well appointed establishment. The cocktails that arrived before our meal were delicious, appetizers were imaginative and tasty. Our mains pushed the envelope of creativity which can both be bold and risky. Two fell on the bold successful side and one failed in its effort. The overall was good.
The food and presentation were amazing. Service was excellent as well; everyone was kind and attentive. The only downside was that the atmosphere wasn’t as private as we had hoped, but overall, it was a wonderful experience.
We dined here tonight in advance of a show at the theatre down the street. Our waiter David was absolutely lovely and I really wanted to give 5 stars but… My entree was cold and not great. Back up a bit… our GF martinis were awesome and paired beautifully with the gluten-free tortilla appetizer and pear salad. Delish! I ordered the skirt steak and my hubby ordered the lamb. I wish I had what he had. My portion was small, overcooked and cold. Chilled garlic on the side and a grotesque harissa sauce that completely overwhelmed the dish. Not great. On the plus, an extensive wine list, loads of gluten-free options (including little puffed pastries). We ended with dessert and coffee. Pretty spendy but had we both eaten the lamb, a 5-star experience. Live and learn.
OK... always start with the shining stars. The pork tenderloin was perfectly cooked. The sear was perfect. Seasoning and sauce was excellent. The deserts were to die for. Service was great and very professional. But there is room for improvement.... For the price, the portion of the tenderloin was small. The tables!!... Im not a big guy, although my friend next to me is a bit linkey...but we were elbowing each other and performing contortions to avoid collisions. I did learn however the reasons for the 4 diffrent knives and their uses for the diffrent entrees. Overall very nice dinning experience and look forward to the next.
The food was solid, but perhaps could have been a bit more innovative in a self-styled “fine dining” establishment. The ambiance was soothing and aesthetically pleasing in its artistry, but like in most places not all tables are created equal—ours lacked space and comfort of positioning and the chairs were simple wooden affairs without padding (a pet peeve of mine in an upscale place). Our server was nice and efficient enough but lacked polish, and her mien seemed more that of a bus girl than a fine server. I don’t mean this in a mean way, again she was nice and thorough. The wine list was the biggest disappointment. Perhaps most wouldn’t notice or care, but the by the glass list was phoned in and uninspiring. Nothing that made one say: “I’ve gotta try that!” The bottle list was also weak. In selections it was decent in size, medium-ish, but little interesting or boutique, especially in the vitally important $45-$65 range. The higher end options were ok, but rather blue chip; and worse, only 5-6 international choices, and those also phoned in. If a wine list wants to be NW focused that’s doable, but it becomes then imperative to have more esoteric, nerdy and cool bin #s available. Altogether a pleasant experience. We’ll probably be back.
Tricky one, drinks were pretty good. We actually got non alcoholic drinks and they were quite unique. Bread was pretty good and the main course could have been better. The dish itself was good, the sauce they used (which I'd swear is store bought) is a little too much for the flavor of the rest of the dish. Vegetables and rice was lovely, tofu was cooked perfectly but that sauce was just too much. I'd give them another shot for sure. Wished it was more savory than sweet!
Wild Sage Bistro is a tough one for me. The food itself was excellent, but everything around it missed the mark. When you’re spending over a $130 for two people and not even ordering drinks, expectations go way up. The room felt loud and clinical. Polished, sure, but not warm or inviting. It’s the kind of place that looks nice but doesn’t make you want to settle in. In the end, great cooking can’t overcome the price tag and the atmosphere. For that money, there are better places to spend it.
