INCREDIBLE food. The flavors were absolutely unreal. We came for the first time for Valentine’s Day and they were absolutely slammed. However, they didn’t skimp whatsoever on the flavor. The shrimp and lobster tom yum was one of the most unique things I’ve ever tried. It was delicious. And the fillet was buttery and cooked to absolute perfection.

We had dinner on a Monday night in early December. The place was pretty empty and quiet. This is a casual restaurant with a nice menu, excellent food, and nice wine list. Our server Jason was terrific. Super accommodating of food allergies and preferences, and very friendly and hospitable. Kudos to the chef for making my wife’s shrimp dinner a second time after Jason told him the first one had an ingredient she couldn’t eat. We started with a hot and sour soup with shrimp that was delicious but very spicy. The shrimp scampi entree was wonderful. Perfectly prepared shrimp. The seared tuna was served very creatively and tasted great. The French baguette was warm and delicious. Complimenting dinner was a Sauvignon blanc that was nice and mild. For dessert the pumpkin donuts hit the spot. The espresso was really good. We were surprised there was no tea or decaf available, but Jason brought me a cup of hot water. We had a very nice and relaxing dinner. The appearance and atmosphere may be casual, but the food was first class. Definitely worth a visit if you are vacationing in the area.

What a nice surprise to find this gem of a Chef owned place in the heart of down town. From greeting at the front door to every moment after was a foodie delight. We ordered the specials for the evening, lentil soup with Italian sausage and Parmesan. Indian butter chicken in a perfect spicy tomato cream served with basmati rice pancakes. Amazing! With an entree of Jumbo tiger prawns, seared salmon in a lemongrass broth adding some baby bok choy, confit tomato jasmine rice with fresh herbs. It doesn't get much better than this. The chef Jason has fine tuned his skills for a truly delightful adventure of his culinary experiences over the years to now allow us to participate in a delicious evening at his table. Don't miss GRACE.

First experience at Grace and it was excellent beach-town dining. We were seated promptly after arrival and our server did an amazing job of describing the hand crafted cocktails, wines and food items on and off menu. We opted for a reasonably priced bottle of rose which paired well with our Greek salad and bread. The entrees ( chicken marsala and the scallops ) were prepared and plated like a Michelin-star restaurant would. Flavors were perfectly melded in both dishes. We liked the atmosphere (especially the colorful umbrellas in the dining room).

Spread the word!!! This place is amazing. Worth every dollar. I had the filet. I feel like I need a thesaurus right now, because perfectly cooked does not capture what I want to say. My wife had the scallops, and said they were the best she had ever had. That’s huge coming from a native Floridian. An added bonus tonight was meeting the mother and sister of Chef Jason. We WILL be back.

Beautiful alfresco dining at this cute little place right off Pass a Grille beach. I had the Burrata & Heirloom Tomato and the Roasted Shrimp off the apps menu and hubby had the filet….all beautifully plated and amazing. Great cocktails and attentive service as well. The best place for dinner on the island!

This comfortable but elevated dining experience was the highlight of my trip! There were gluten- and dairy-free options for my family that were just as delicious as the rest of the food. The baked Brie and scallops were show-stopping, and the fresh-caught shrimp in my Alfredo were the best I’ve ever tasted. The server was friendly and attentive. The lighting was muted but not dim, perfect for an evening meal. The only recommendation I can offer would be to label the various dietary options on the menu, but that could be a stylistic decision. I look forward to visiting again!

Grace restaurant is an absolute gem! It’s so lovely in its decor and the staff is kind and welcoming. Lisa took exceptional care of us and she makes the BEST espresso martini! The Mussels, Scallops and Filet were perfection! We are really looking forward to a return visit to this wonderful establishment in charming Pass-A-Grill!

The best food from a restaurant I ever had. I’ve dined in fine places across the world that don’t come close to this place. Never have I tasted anything like the uniquely delicious blend of food that I was so gracefully served . If you happen to visit south Florida treat yourself please !!!

Perfect little restaurant close to the beach in St Petersburg on Pass E Grille! We came for lunch and everything was sublime. Generous portions too! This restaurant came recommended to us by a neighbor and it did not disappoint!

Grace and their staff is a hidden gem. I was going to keep this a secret and not write the review, but the food and service was too great to not share. All of the staff so friendly like family. The flavors of the Chicken Marsala and Filet were outstanding. They also have the best Key Lime pie in the Tampa, St Pete area. Run don’t walk to Grace.

Marlin Kaplan is the Chef and co-owner, along with his partner, Lisa Masterson, of Grace Restaurant. Marlin has been cooking in New York, Cleveland, and St. Pete for nearly 30 years. He has been the Chef/Owner of nine other restaurants in Ohio and has been recognized by the culinary community as one of the forces in the culinary scene. Marlin has cooked and hosted four dinners for the James Beard Foundation in New York. He has also participated in numerous charity events of the years. Chef Kaplan’s food is simple and seasonal. He is able to generate the maximum amount of flavor from the ingredients without masking them with sauces, seasonings, and a unique approach to food: whimsical without being ponderous. He has great command of seafood and the predominant theme of Grace is local, sustainable food. Marlin and Lisa have a great eye for detail and they enjoy providing the Tampa Bay area with great hospitality. The Tampa Bay Times listed Grace on the Top 50 Best Restaurants in 2018 and Grace has been recognized by Creative Loafing and Bay Magazine.

Loved the place. I would go for early dinner or a time when you can walk nearby to build appetite. The octopus was amazing and so we're the scallops. But the best was the desserts.

I had the bolognese and PEI mussels. This was our first time eating here. The mussels and the bread were to die for. I've had mussel's in about 27 states. This by far was the best, hands down. The bolognese was cooked to perfection. Pasta was slightly al dente, and the sauce was spot on. We live on Tierra Verde and have passed this place frequently but never stopped in. We will correct that mistake ASAP. I met the owner and chef, Jason. Didn't spend much time with him as he was turning and burning. He welcomed my thoughts and praise on the meal. I then met Mom, BJ. She was gracious enough to provide my party with a brief history and naturally promoted her son. You don't see that in most high end eating establishments these days. I'm talking about meeting and socializing with your patrons. To me, it adds a personal touch, as to make you part of the family. Last but not least, I met MY bartender, LB. My drinks were not weak and I could tell that LB and I had one thing in common. I'll leave it at that. If you are on Pass A Grille and wind up hungry and thirsty, look no further than Grace Restaurant. The food is superb and the prices will fit your wallet. Make sure you tip LB and say hello to Jason the chef/owner.

At the suggestion of a friend we went to Grace for dinner. A cute, classic Florida beach town and a great find. Service was impeccable and we enjoyed very fresh, delicious, inventive food.

It is one of our favorite places. We sometimes eat here a couple of times a week. The food and service are always great, and the atmosphere is very pleasant and inviting. It is one of the best fine dining restaurants in the area and has a very casual dress code.

We had a fantastic 2-couple dinner here at sunset. Fantastic drink selection, great flatbread as an appetizer than everyone ordered different main plates. Had a 3.5 hour really pleasant time. Never felt rushed, service was perfect. Loved that cocktails are all named after dogs in the neighborhood!!!

Family’s last night, visiting. We decide on Grace and we were all thrilled with our meals! We started with fabulous apps and it was all up hill. Osso bucco, perfectly prepared and flavorful. 3 of us had the salmon special, with shrimp and waffle.(waffle a bit over cooked) but delicious. Bravo from all 3. The kids shared bolognese pasta and plates were clean, they loved the dish! We topped off the meal with tasting the key lime pie. It was the best key lime pie I have ever tasted……..kudos to the chef and staff.

With a party of twelve, you would think there would be at least one complaint, but there wasn’t a single one! The limited menu (which means only fresh ingredients are served) gave enough of a variety needed to please us all. From our appetizers, entrees, to the desserts, we all enjoyed our selections. The atmosphere and staff were equally top notched! We will be returning to The Grace Restaurant soon for another fabulous meal!

We have been visiting pass-a-grille from Tampa for the week and this was our second time at Grace during our trip! Everything we ordered was delicious with fresh ingredients and an innovative menu. Our server gave great recommendations for wine and cocktails. A bonus is that the staff was SUPER FRIENDLY with our little dog Kevin who sometimes gets nervous when we sit outside at restaurants with him. We will definitely be back!

I had a fantastic dining experience at Grace Restaurant! The ambiance was elegant and inviting, the service was impeccable, and the food was absolutely delicious. From the appetizers to the dessert, every dish was prepared with care and showcased a perfect blend of flavors. I highly recommend Grace Restaurant for a delightful culinary journey.

We can't get enough. The food, the drinks, the service, especially Jeff lol, the decor. Grace is definitely the best restaurant in St. Pete's. Chef/Owner Jason is doing a great job. The flavors and combinations in all the dishes we had were superb. We went three times in a 5 day period. It was that good. Highly recommended!

My husband is the one who told me to make sure we write a review because this place is AH-MAZING!!! My husband is one of the biggest critics when we comes to the restaurants we go to and he was more than happy with everything we got! The drinks were on point, the service was really really good, and OMG... the food.. not even exaggerating how unbelievably delicious it was! Presentation and flavor was all there! Definitely recommend this place 10000000%

Enjoyed a scrumpious dinner at Grace last week and still thinking about how great it was. The Pork chops and Scallops entrees were perfectly cooked and hit all marks for flavor and originality. We shared the yummy Bibb salad, plenty for 2. The artichoke appetizer, I need this recipe, what a pleasant surprise. We will be back!

I’m not easily impressed by restaurants, but grace exceeded all expectations. The chicken was so juicy and flavorful and the potatoes were divine. They also have some very unique dessert options. I’m so happy to have finally found a restaurant near the beach that I love.

Grace is a place we visit once a year when in town and it's always a celebration. This one was New Year's Eve and did not disappoint. While the time getting our entrees was not as short as one would like, they were understandably swamped and doing their best, the meal was superb start to finish. Never been less than thrilled with a meal here.

My fiancé and I arrived at 8:45pm for a late dinner - date night. We wanted an outside table because the weather was finally cool enough to enjoy. We were sat on the patio. (which is covered so even though it rained during dinner we were unbothered) We got a cocktail off the drink menu and glass of wine. We also ordered the “cheese of the day” which was a roll filled with Bree drizzled with honey (AMAZING), walnuts (coated in sugar-delicious), and a grape/ arugula salad. For dinner we got the Rigatoni with Clams , and the Seared Scallop entree. All of our food was delicious! I wasn’t that excited about the tri colored noodles in the rigatoni, they were a little too al dente for me, but over all the meal was really good. The roll with the cheese was my favorite part and the scallops were sooooo good too. The waitress was quick and knowledgeable. We took dessert Togo- key lime cheesecake - it was so good I didn’t have time to get a picture of it. Would definitely recommend for a cute date night. They did have a lot of seating area inside for bigger parties but due to covid-19 and rules in our area, some tables are not used for social distancing. I suggest to call and make reservation !

The first time we went to Grace I would rate it as a 5 with a server that rated a 5. This time I would rate it as a 3, with a server that rated a 3, at best. It really is a cool place, and the food was fantastic the first time as well as the atmosphere and server. To give them the benefit of the doubt, this second time was in the height of the Red Tide breakout and the place, as well as Pass-A-Grille was mostly deserted. It is terribly sad for all that depend on the hospitality industry for their living. Hopefully when business gets better after Red Tide goes away they will have an opportunity to do better and get their good job employees back.

We live on Pass A Grille Tenant love supporting our local restaurants and businesses. We ate at Greece last night. The food was good The tuna special was good but lacked the seer that gives it flavor. The appetizer of fried artichoke was tasty but very small portion. Overall experience was good and we will be back.

The food was fantastic on par with a high-end restaurant. However, the atmosphere left something to be wanted. The umbrella vibe on the ceiling agree with prior customer was great. However, it ended it that with no additional classy decor. Two bright lighting. Need to make the ambience and environment on par with an expensive restaurant.

Cute place and nice atmosphere. Went there to celebrate a friend's birthday. Service was very good and the bartender, she made excellent drinks! Prices $$. The snapper was tasty.. Most everyone at the table ordered steak, some "said" the steak was chewy. Here is why giving it 4 stars. The hostess seemed to keep looking at us as the evening progressed. Giving us "The Look", like it's time to leave.. made us feel uncomfortable. It was 9 people, celebrating a Birthday...

I dined at Grace restaurant and was expecting to have a pretty great experience since I love this area and frequent it a lot. I had a reservation and when we came in we were greeted at the point near the door (there was a sign that said wait to be greeted or seated). However, the woman who greeted us was not only not friendly she seemed annoyed that we were there and acted like we were not welcome. This was all in her attitude. She did not say these things, but she would not make eye contact, she looked annoyed and almost questioning why we were there and to be honest our waitress was nicer, but I noticed a totally different person was delivering our food to our table during service. It could just be a coincidence. I am just going to say, we were not the exact type of couple coming in to dine that was predominantly in there. Decor wise, the restaurant is simple; It isn't fancy. I think, decor wise, the umbrellas on the ceiling are very cute, but after that it's like the vibe ended, totally. Food wise, the food was well seasoned. So, I will say that first off, I hate underseasoned food. I have Celiacs Disease and they have GF denotations on the menu so I chose from there. I actually asked for the shrimp scampi with rice noodles and that came out great, I just told our waitress to please make sure they cook them in a separate pot and flag it and she did. The taste and seasoning was great. I 100% did not mind the rice noodles and I thought it was great. The seasoning was good on everything we had. The starter was the lamb rolls which was incredibly underwhelming. The amount of lamb they give you is a joke and it's priced at 21.00$. You can get a pound of organic ground lamb from Whole Foods for 8.00$ (and I do) and yet, they are charging 21.00$ for 1 link the size of a breakfast sausage that was cut up! This is served on 6 or 7 pieces of Bibb lettuce with 3 slices of onion and some banana peppers. NOT worth 21.00$ Please avoid this dish if you go there. It's literally less than 3 ounces of lamb at the most. Secondly, the sparking water...they are charging 8.00$ for a small bottle of San Pelligrino water and even at high end restaurants the LARGE BOTTLE is 7 or 8.00$. This is way over priced. We paid 16.00$ plus tax and tip on two small bottles of San Pelligrino water which you can buy an entire case of these x2 for this price at the grocery store. Most restaurants serving this small bottle would charge 3.00$ for it, not 8.00$. The stand out dish was the Oso Buco. This was the only dish that was the best of the night. Second being the shrimp scampi. Cocktails: They were basic and underwhelming at 17.00$ They weren't mixed well and had no garnishes (the menu said there would be garnishes) and were not served in proper glasses. I ordered a cocktail and it never arrived, but it did appear they comped most of it and charged me only 2.00$ for it (what was that???). Overall, I like trying new restaurants, but I won't be coming back here. From the unwelcome vibes to the overpriced items I feel I can do a lot better taking my money elsewhere. I felt like as a customer I was not welcome at all and the service was lacking. I was readily made to feel like I wasn't the demographic they were looking for from the moment I walked in. The Dewey has a better atmosphere and food and is steps away and I have dined there twice. The Don Cesar has similar pricing, but is actually fine dining. When it came time to pay they acted like they didn't know what Offline was or what the discount was and tried to only give us our discount on 1 meal. They acted funny about it and we were both Offline members. Then tried to play it off and say "it's new" and "a manager will come by to approve it", but no manager ever came by because I am thinking it was the same rude woman who greeted us and didn't look like she wanted us to be there in the first place. I wish I didn't have this interaction, but it is what it is.

Excellent food. Great atmosphere. Bit pricey. Bartender rude and very rough around the edges. I didn’t feel like she fit in. I ordered the wrong wine, and absentmindedly took a sip. Because I took a sip She refused to change the wine. Terrible service for a classy restaurant.

The entire staff were all very welcoming. We were greeted when we entered, seated right away and thanked for coming by someone other than our waitress. The chef even came out during our meal to ensure everything was satisfactory. They drinks (the Zach and the Grace) were really good. We had the Lamb meatballs to start and they were fantastic. For the main course I had the Lemon and Herb Stuffed Chicken and that was pretty good, my wife had the Mushroom Ragout but unfortunately the vinegar overpowered the flavor of the mushrooms. For dessert we went with the cannoli and they were also good. Our bill was $92 so be prepared. Overall the experience and food were good but probably still a bit overpriced for the quality. We would go back but probably just for drinks and apps.

N
N Mac

I am sure the chef is tremendous, but other things need to be considered. We visited because of the great reviews, but when we walked in with nice beach casual clothing, the host seemed to look at us and "exile us" to the empty bar area :)). She seated group after group in the main dining room immediately afterwards. The burger was great, but incredibly expensive. My husband ordered a salad that he was told was very large, and enough for a meal, and it was a tiny little side salad for $18, with no meat or any quantity of the things listed. Everything else was in the $40 range, and we noticed the servings were very small. There are so many exceptional restaurants in Saint Pete and treasure Island, and this will certainly be one we will not revisit.

Grace has lost her comfortable personality. The food was delicious, but the warm atmosphere evaporated with new management. Sadly we won't be returning.

We were so excited to bring our parents to this restaurant for their birthday last night. Grace came highly recommended from some locals. We arrived at 730 and they were out of the fish and the scallops and the apps we wanted. The mussels came after 45 minutes and were pretty good. They did run out of bread so we didn’t really enjoy them the way we wanted to but they were good. Then we waited for another hour and a half. My clam dish came out and looked as though someone had already eaten it. Like they accidentally grabbed a plate from the dish room that someone had already enjoyed (photo attached). AND it tasted super burnt (idk). My brothers pasta was a big ol crusty brick of noodles that he couldn’t figure out how to get his fork inside. My sisters pasta was like if u put noodles in a dishwasher and ran em a couple times and then plate em up. My dad said his pork was edible (yay!) my mom had the same already eaten clam dish as me. Then the bill came and they charged us for all of it except two entrees. No apologies from the manager, BUT DO LET ME SAY OUR WAITRESS WAS AMAZING WE LOVED HER and she deserves more.

L
Luis Perez

The atmosphere was pretentious without merit. The greeting from the hostess was as if we didn’t belong. Decor and furniture are reminiscent of a food court at a recently updated mall. I ordered the scallops and they weren’t even cooked correctly, even though I was told from the beginning that this was fine dining (hint: it’s not.) Only order the special, chef knows how to cook a lamb shank. Plus one star because the service was really good.

M
Marc Cohen

We were violently sick afterwards. I believe it was food poisoning. The environment was really loud and we waited forever to get our food. Definitely not our best experience.

M
Mary S

The hostess seated us saying "You're in for a treat!". The lobster bisque(18) was the best tasting item that evening. There was cold rice added and sprinkled on top, so it really took away from the dish over all. The lumps of lobster in it were delicious. We had a salad(18) which was quite large for a dinner salad. The flatbread(18) was terrible. The bread was like cardboard....dense, dry, no flavor. I ate the topping. Husband had Mahi on creamy pasta(52). Fish was cooked nicely, but over all ZERO flavor or interest for the palate. Red Sangria(12) was nice. While we were eating the hostess dragged a highchair across the room making a continuous screeching sound. Will never go back nor recommend.
