Amazing euro experience. First time here…the pesto gnocchi and veal were the best we’ve ever have. Loved the lobster ravioli and limoncello afterwards. One of the best on the island in my opinion.
Very intimate and lovely dinner on their cute patio. Make a reservation! Have the Limoncello spritz!
They were able to accommodate party of 16. Our waiters were amazing. Very engaging and approachable. Could not recommend more. The food was amazing. Authentic Italian soooo amazing. Dan and Ted could not have been better. We appreciate the kind nature with the kids.
Fantastic dining experience on the Island! First time visiting Isola Bella on the Island- The restaurant is cozy and adorable with a laid back vibe. Our waiter was attentive and made us feel at home- he brought homemade fresh bread for the table and kept our water replenished. We started off with tasty peach Bellinis and shared a delicious Caesar salad with shaved Parmesan cheese. For entrees we enjoyed mouth watering Ragu meatballs over fresh linguine and Shrimp Fra Diavolo also over fresh linguine - the dessert menu looked delicious however we didn’t save room! We will definitely be back on our next visit!
Isola Bella shines with authentic Italian cuisine and exceptional service. Each dish, from the seafood pasta to the heavenly tiramisu, was perfectly prepared. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff makes you feel at home. A must-visit for an unforgettable dining experience!
Amazing dining experience from start to finish! I had the Best veal piccata I’ve ever had. My friend had the fresh fish special ( which I tasted) so delicious!! Both were perfectly seasoned and cooked. Sooo tender and tasty. We were greeted warmly at the front door by Rain … she seated us immediately and it just kept getting better. Our server Dan was hands down the best! He suggested two delicious appetizers bruschetta and caprese salad .. both outstanding! He also paired a wonderful bottle of bubbly that complimented the food perfectly. Cannot recommended Isola Bella enough ..Delizioso!!
We visited AMI for 4 days and this was the best meal I had on the island.....maybe in fact that I've had in quite awhile. The bruschetta was probably the best bruschetta I've ever tasted. The tomatoes you could tell were incredibly fresh (server said they're grown over in Bradenton by a company he knew by name), so juicy and full of flavor. We asked for extra balsamic and it was happily provided. I ordered the chicken marsala, my go to Italian dish, and it did not disappoint. The chicken was cooked perfectly and I could cut it with my fork. The fettuccine was also cooked perfectly. And the sauce was......well let's just say I refrained myself from licking the plate clean. The only downfall was dessert. We were so full from dinner, we took the lemon curd on almond shortbread home, and it was lackluster. Not a lot of flavor at all. I was expecting a super lemony flavor and it was very muted. There were oddly almond slivers in it also. Maybe that's traditional, but I didn't like that texture with the lemon curd and crust. Def would try a different dessert next time. My sister got the chicken parmesan and she loved hers just as much. Can't wait to go back again!
Very authentic and delicious scratch Italian fare. I was honestly surprised to get such a good meal in a relatively small island, but it stands up to some of the best! Service is really attentive with family-like friendliness. Highly recommend the chef's bolognese if it is on the specials menu and the caprese for a starter that came with fresh yellow heirloom tomatoes.
We came here for our first time in June of 2023… it’s a quaint restaurant with a very relaxed atmosphere. There’s plenty of outside seating and a very friendly staff. Our server, Sydney, was the best server my family and I have ever had! She was very knowledgeable of the menu and all offered selections. All of her recommendations were dynamite!! Top notch service!!! Ask for Sydney for one the best experiences on AMI while you’re in town! From the appetizers, salads, and entrees… we have left this evening with great memories made with my whole family. I’m on a meatless diet because of an inflammatory disease I have. I had the pasta primavera… absolutely amazing!! We had deserts to end our perfect night with family. What a an awesome Italian inspired delicacy!
In my opinion this is the best place to eat in Ana Maria Island. The food is very flavorful and the workers are very sweet people. The charcuterie board was delightful as well as the meatballs. It is very nice inside and looks clean.
Very cozy and warm atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and accommodating . Food was excellent . Highly recommend
Absolutely outstanding restaurant. Wonderful service. Food is out of this world. Truly authentic. The ambience makes you feel like you’re actually in Italy. Our server Daniel was world class. We’ll be back again and again. Highly recommend. The specials are always great. Try the the burrata antipasto board and shrimp far diavolo but everything is delicious.
I am not kidding, this is probably the best Italian I’ve had in a very long time. I live in Austin and our options are limited (to put it nicely). Everyone in our party of eight had a great dish, HOWEVER, I have to say my dish stole the show. Order the Chicken Marsala, you will not regret it.
We went last night. It’s a very quaint little place with really delicious homemade pasta and great sauces. I did have an issue with the pour of my wine and they came right over and filled it up ( more than I wanted and needed)! I was very impressed. The service was very good. Try it-you’ll like it!!!
The antipasto was a delicious combination of mozz, olives, and salami, albeit a little overpriced. Had gluten free pasta with a top notch bolognese. Travis kept drinks filled and was very accommodating.
AMAZING dinner tonight!! We go here frequently but chose to go here tonight for our anniversary!! Dan treated us a like royalty! Food, drinks and dessert were the best EVER!! Service was amazing as always!! HIGHLY recommend!!!
Wonderful dining experience. I had the lasagna and my friend had chicken Marsala. Both meals were simply "off the charts"! Our wait staff was exceptional. One of the finest dining experiences on the Island!
We had an exceptional dining experience here! Our meal began with a refreshing lemoncello and prosecco cocktail, paired perfectly with the crispy bruschetta made from house-made bread and roasted tomatoes that simply melted in our mouths. Next, we enjoyed two lovely salads: the classic Caesar with homemade croutons and a flavorful Mediterranean salad. Both were delicious! For our entrees, we opted for the specials. The swordfish was cooked to perfection – crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside – and served with a mix of grilled vegetables. Meanwhile, the pappardelle noodles with short rib bolognese exceeded my husband's expectations. Overall, a fantastic meal in a wonderful setting with super nice people like Dan, serving us.
Isola Bella Italian Eatery boasts a cozy, charming atmosphere that feels like a slice of Italy. The staff are warm, attentive, and make you feel right at home. The food is amazing—a fantastic spot for any occasion—highly recommend!
The food here is really good! Reasonably priced, with good size portions. The food quality was excellent! Service was good, and quick. I had the gnocchi special, and my friend has the tortellini with bolognese! Both delicious! I would recommend it to anyone who likes authentic Italian food, and will definitely be back!
Service and food were incredible.small place, that's worth the wait for a table. If you love Italian, you'll love all their homemade dishes. A++
In Anna Maria on vacation thru the holiday. Family had been here before and I was told that I would love the Lasagna. My daughter was right! I was with a party of 10. We were immediately seated. Waiter was fantastic! Took the time and attention to tell us about some of the dishes. Took the time with the kids… from 3 to12. Awesome service! Was there in a very timely manner ; making sure we had all we needed! The food was served in a very short length of time!! And it was delicious!!!! Everyone commented on the dish being soooooo good. Will definitely go back- probably before I leave to try another dish!! I highly recommend this restaurant!! Awesome job!!!
Excellent Italian fine dining! My wife had the Osso Buco and I had chicken marsala. Both dishes were awesome. The service (Dan) was a 10 out of 10. Overall a TOP SHELF restaurant.
We were visiting town and looking for somewhere good to go, and per Facebook recommendations chose Isola Bella. The reviews were mixed, but all five of us got something vastly different and everything we got was phenomenal! It was pricey, but worth every penny, and the staff was very pleasant. Don’t let the outside appearance fool you!
The restaurant and chef were amazing with my son's peanut and tree nut allergy. They went to the back, pulled the ingredients and checked to see if they were made in a facility that processes nuts. Then when we picked up our order the chef came out and said that my son could not have the bread because the ingredients were processed in a facility that handles nuts. They were thorough and thoughtful and took us seriously. I will 100% be sharing how great they were to my allergy groups!
First time at Isola Bella tonight and wow — it did not disappoint! Pro tip: don’t sleep on their Focaccia Friday. I didn’t realize how much I loved focaccia until I tried theirs — absolutely incredible. The eggplant rollatini was delicious, the chicken marsala and salads were perfect, and we even saved room for the lemon cake, which was the sweetest ending. Classic Italian dishes made with care, fresh ingredients, and real flavor. Great food, wonderful service, and such a cozy spot. Definitely adding Isola Bella to our favorites list — and already looking forward to going back soon.
Great place and the food is wonderful. But I think they should add primavera with a creamy Alfredo type sauce. (I don’t like meat but I love grilled shrimp). Hubby got chicken parm which was also very good. The atmosphere was very nice. The waiter was also very attentive and very friendly. Great experience. We’ll be back soon!
We took my wife here for her birthday and we're so glad we did! This place is an absolute delight. Chad was the first to greet us and immediately we felt like we knew him. Dan made sure our night was truly unforgettable as well and it really feels like a family here. Amazing food. Wonderful staff and a great place to grab dinner on the island. If you haven't been to this place, do yourself a favor and make a reservation, not a bad thing on the menu!
Went to dinner here this evening, and oh my god was it delicious!! Some of the best Italian food of my life! Cannot recommend it enough!
Odd little spot tucked into the back of a parking lot but well worth finding The best Italian in the area obviously. Notable is the staff which are all so competent, friendly and professional I wonder if they all have a stake in the business.
Had the best meal tonight celebrating our daughter’s birthday. The food was fantastic and Dan was amazing attending to our party, which included our 20 month old grandson. As all one year olds can sometimes be, ready to eat and a little messy. He made sure to keep the food coming out in a timely manner and was so attentive to us and our grandson . Thank you Dan! Always a favorite place to relax and enjoy amazing food.
Great, traditional Italian food. Cozy atmosphere and courteous staff. Highly recommended.
With a food allergy (casein). It’s usually hard to eat at an Italian restaurant! But the chef at Isola Bella hit a home run by tailoring the shrimp and crabmeat Scampi to my dietary needs using olive oil instead of butter!! 10/10!!!
Isola Bella is in my opinion the best gem on the island. Everything is SO delicious and authentic. Service is always top notch. You MUST try the bread pudding. Tonight we had gnocchi Al pesto and the spaghetti and meatballs. We have literally never had better if either dishes. If you do anything while visiting here, TRY THIS PLACE!
We had an incredible server! McKinna was fantastic. She was very attentive and understanding of food allergies. She did great! My wife and I frequent this great restaurant and it never disappoints. Food is unbelievable.
You have to try this place. I dined here last night with a group of friends and it was outstanding. This is truly a small, family owned restaurant that serves delicious Italian food. Each dish was anbso delicious and the service was amazing. I especially loved the Eggplant Isola Bella, the burrata appetizer, the shrimp and polenta, and the bread pudding. I can’t believe I’ve never been there. Can’t wait to go back.
I have eaten here several times over the past five years and the food and service are always amazing. My most recent visit was last week. I had the chicken piccata. It was one of the best versions of the dish I have ever eaten.
We came here on the last night of our trip for a nice departure dinner. Our server was too pushy trying to upsell us and get us to order additional items any chance he got. Aside from that, the service was great with the food runners being very helpful. As far as the food, the burrata appetizer was excellent. The cheese was presented with a healthy portion of olives, prosciutto, salami, tomatoes, and I believe, arugula. I ordered the pasta norma and wished immensely that the eggplant would have not been breaded and fried. Its my fault for not reading the description properly but I was expecting something a bit more fresh. I didnt love the breaded vegetable on top of pasta. The pasta itself was well made and the sauce was tasty as well. The ravioli was a hit at our table, both the lobster ravioli and the spinach and ricotta ravioli. The vodka sauce they came in was excellent. I will order ravioli on my next visit 👌🏻
The restaurant is expensive. The food is good and the ambience is fine. The food is an "American version" of the Italian dishes.
Small inside which can make it loud. There is an outdoor patio. Construction next door maybe expanding? Needed to ask for bread. Had Lasagna which was okay. Sauce was okay but can't compare to home. Other party had mussels which they said were good. Would try again but maybe the shrimp arrbbiata.
We went here for dinner but had a hard time getting a dinner reservation so plan ahead and book well in advance. Our orders were Chicken Parm ($29) and Ragu Meatballs ($29). Wine was $14 a glass. The service from Clarissa was excellent. Our food arrived very fast; so fast we felt a bit rushed but after that every thing was fine. Both portions were more than adequate and we took some leftovers home. If you're looking for what I would call home cooked Italian food this place is a good choice. Full bar and a good wine list. Free parking in their lot. They have both indoor and outdoor dining.
The service above all else was tremendous everyone was very polite and attentive. The portions are on the smaller size especially for the prices but left you feeling full not glutinous agony feeling force fed. The cannoli filling really had no flavor but the gelato was a nice way to finish the meal.
We were excited for this place after personal recommendations and the online reviews but it was average in our opinion having lived in major cities with great Italian restaurants. Also, was shocked to see a cheese ravioli snuck in with my lobster raviolis; for the price, I hope this was the only one and merely an oversight, but makes me go hmmmm.
Cute restaurant, nice ambiance, great service. Prices are very high and serving sizes very small. Food was average.
The food was good but it was super expensive for a big family and with smaller portions of food. I never finish my meals which I usually end up taking home leftovers but the portions are small that I left still hungry and went to get ice cream in town. So that was nice I still had room to go get dessert somewhere else.
Food was mediocre and potions were barely filling. Very expensive and poor value for money. Very crowded with many tables packed into a tiny place
Food is just okay, not great. Bruschetta came out soggy. Pasta portions were very small for the price and again the taste was just okay. Server wasn’t friendly. Meh.
DO NOT EAT HERE! I would give it zero stars if I could. They lie and lie. My dad ordered my plain spaghetti noodles with marinara and meatballs. He specified very clearly “no cheese anywhere in the meal” at all because I’m lactose intolerant. They did in fact put cheese all over the pasta and meatballs. I called and they claim the meatballs have cheese in them, yet there was cheese ALL OVER the entire pasta nowhere near the meatballs. Now I’m out $40 and have no way to get back to the restaurant, so they say its my fault that I can’t get all the way back there. KEEP IN MIND THIS IS A KIDS MEAL FOR THIS PRICE! Which I just had to throw the entire thing in the trash because I will get extremely sick if I eat anything with cheese and everyone else already ate dinner from a different seafood restaurant. Horrible customer service and I’ll make my family who lives down this way to steer everyone away from this horrible, deceptive place. I’ll make sure to also let everyone else I know who’s been here to leave their horrible reviews. I should’ve listened to them. I bet they reply back to this and try to cover it up with some more lies
Isola Bella is a cute restaurant with outdoor seating as well. We arrived and did not have to wait for a table. We had a Caesar salad to start. It was Ok. The chicken Marsala was meh. The sauce was overly sweet, chicken was flavorless and pasta was drowning. I asked for Parmesan cheese but that did not help. It didn’t change the flavor. The chicken Parmesan lacked flavor. The bread coating was flavorless it lacked seasonings, the tomato sauce was not flavorful at all and the pasta was undercooked. All in all it was unsatisfactory. Waste of money.
If you want to eat baby food, go ahead right in here. This place is a tourist scam, they'll charge you high for what are really small portions. Me and my family were laughing the entire time at how ridiculous it actually is. Just spend your money elsewhere, even McDonald's have better portions lol
