Fun, friendly and top of the notch service plus super delicious meal!!! Shout out to Rex and Kong for one of our best memorable dinner experience. Will definitely come back again and again!

We had a great meal at The Crane. The food and the service were perfect. We had the Snapper and Wagyu and both were delicious. You definitely save room for the Key Lime Cake as well. Lisa was our server and she was super fun and friendly and gave us some great menu suggestions. We will be back for sure.

My fiance and I wanted to try something new, so we made the trek from Sarasota to try this place out. The food was to die for - starting with the waygu and seafood dumplings for an appetizer, and then the maple duck and Chilean sea bass for our main course. The atmosphere was a very unique vibe, and the staff were extremely friendly especially our server Rachel. We will definitely come again!

The Crane was an incredible dining experience from start to finish! The Asian-inspired seafood menu was creative and full of flavor — we had wagyu dumplings, oysters, house salad, scallops, pork chop, maple duck breast, and the market fish with three amazing sauces (red curry, basil, and sweet chili). Every dish was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The cocktails were handcrafted and on point. One of the coolest parts was being able to see the chef in action through a glass door — such a unique touch. Huge shoutout to our server, Lisa, who was warm, attentive, and made the whole night even better. A perfect spot for a girls’ night or a special dinner out!

This was our first time here and it was lovely. Food was great, drinks were great, and our server, Lisa, was an absolute peach! :)

We just stopped by to have appetizers. The muscles were large and tasty with delicious garlic bread. The wagyu dumplings and sauce were delectable. The service was pleasant and the waitress knew the food and clearly was a fan of this relatively new restaurant. The inside was high end and the bathroom was cleaner than most homes. This appeared to be s high quality establishment that one usually finds on Beach Drive. Price seemed reasonable and the atmosphere inside was upscale. Outside of course was still outside on Central.

One of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. The Crane Flight is a must-try—beautifully crafted. The porterhouse was cooked to perfection, and the flourless chocolate cake was divine. Daniel provided exceptional service.

We had such a great experience. From the service, ambiance, and food. It was our first time and the owner and Caitlyn made it an even better experience. Would definitely recommend this restaurant, especially for any birthday festivities. My personal recommendations would be the waygu dumplings, octopus and their cocktails!! 10/10.

A great new addition to Central. The Crane has an interesting interior decor, paying homage to Japanese influences while maintaining a modern decor. It feels more “clubby” without the heavy music than it does romantic and intimate. Service was perfectly nice. The GM came over twice to check on us too, so you can tell they are really trying to make an impression (a good thing!) The food was delicious. We started with the wagyu dumplings, which are made fresh in house. Honestly these were the most underwhelming of the food we tried, but still quite good. I wish the dumplings had better presentation and had a bit more in them beyond the Wagyu. We also tried the tuna ceviche which was a generous portion for the price and very good. The crackers they served it with did make me feel like they ran out of the normal crackers. For mains, we had the filet surf and turf (cooked perfectly) and the bison tenderloin. Would get them both again - meat quality was great and mixed veggies carried good flavor.

Had both Lunch & Dinner here. High quality food & drinks. Beautiful atmosphere & delicious fusion of Asian American dishes. Myli & Lisa took great care of us !

Went there Grand Opening night (1/31/25). Had 6 ppl with me so we ordered quite a variety. All of the food was excellent. We had a few steak options. The risotto was epic. Now all they need to do is bring the Tomahawk! Service and atmosphere were top notch.

This place open three weeks ago, but they've got it figured out. Atmosphere gets at 10. Love the bar. Review of love the lighting, subtle music. great date place. the food was unbelievably well. Steaks cooked the perfection vegetables and desserts, including the bomb were awesome. Highly recommend it and we will be back soon.

Lisa was the best! We celebrated our 35th anniversary here. The wagu filet and wagu flight were amazing! We will definitely be back. Thank you Lisa for the special touches

Absolutely great experience, I went to enjoy the cuisine and the good vibes. I enjoyed the mussels, the lamb steaks and a very heavy pour Johnny walker blue. Everything was spiced perfectly and left me wanting more.

Absolutely an amazing experience. Wagyu options are delicious and if you can have Lisa as your server, even better. She was absolutely amazing! One of our favorite places in St Pete!

Lisa was a phenomenal waitress! A+. Her recommendation from drinks, starter to main were all 5 star. Best Wagyu steaks in the area! Seafood player was awesome as well! Next day we are still talking about those steaks

We live in palmetto and everytime we come to st pete we eat here. The food is always great and the service is impeccable. Our server Rachel gave us great recommendations and was overall amazing! We will be back again our next trip to St Lete.

Appetizers were great, the mango beet salad was good but there needed to be more beets in it especially since it's in the name, and the porterhouse steak was good...a little on the cold side but still tasty. Overall I would come back, might try a seafood item next time.

The Crane has the best food, staff and restaurant environment. If you are in the area it’s a must to stop and have a nice dinner. Our server Lisa is the greatest and we ask for her every time, she is amazing. Ask for Lisa to be your server for the absolute best experience.

We actually thought this was a sushi restaurant for some reason..but what an amazing surprise! Lisa was our server and was AMAZING! Attentive and gave us amazing recommendations on the food. Will def return!! Highly recommend the waygu dumplings, the mussels, and the chocolate bomb dessert!

Amazing food, great choices, one of the best menus in town. Full awesome bar options. Great food products cost more but the quality can be differentiated in all of their ingredients. Crab Soup, Ribeye & tempura shrimp are some of my favorites. They always cater to our personal needs...

Great food! The sea bass was the best I’ve had in St Pete and my wife’s filet was on point! Good selection of local craft beer at their lovely center bar. IMO they could use some TVs in the bar area for sports viewing and convert some booths to table and chairs seating. Looking forward to my next visit, which will be hopefully very soon!!

We tried The Crane for the first time and our server Lisa was amazing. She gave us great recommendations. The cocktail were yummy, the filet was very juicy and the sea bass was seasoned perfectly with the red curry sauce.

We had a wonderful experience at The Crane tonight. Cocktails were great. For our entrees, my husband ordered the She Crab Soup as well Lobster spring rolls. I ordered the small salmon dinner (comes in two sizes). Everything was outstanding. Highly recommend!

When we got there we got seated right away. The bartender made my husband an old fashioned and he loved it. I asked for a coconut mojito and it was the best. I would go back there just for drinks. It is a beautiful restaurant. Love the fabric hanging from the ceiling separating the booths. My son got surf and turf and my husband got the filet and I got the salmon. The food was top-notch. The steaks were cooked to perfection, Best we've had in a long time. We will definitely be going back again and again and again.

I had the pleasure of dining at The Crane in St. Pete a few weeks ago, and I can't stop reminiscing about the fantastic experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm ambiance and a clean, inviting atmosphere. Our server, Rachel, was truly exceptional. Her knowledge of the menu and her thoughtful recommendations made our meal unforgettable. We started with the mussels and the curry, both of which were bursting with flavor. The refreshing lychee lemonade was the perfect complement to our dishes. As a risotto enthusiast, I can confidently say that theirs is the best I’ve ever had—creamy, comforting, and simply divine! I also savored the bison filet, which was cooked to perfection and incredibly tender. Overall, The Crane exceeded my expectations. If you're looking for a delightful dining experience with amazing food and excellent service, I highly recommend visiting! And don’t forget to ask for the best server there! RACHEL!!!!

Beautiful dining experience. The food was superb, as was our service. Everyone in our party commented on the flavor and deliciousness of their meals. My filet was perfect, as was the creamy and heavenly risotto. We will definitely be returning.

Overall was okay. Didn’t love the lychee drink but the melon drop was good. The sea bass was tasty but the risotto it came with was a pile of mush- definitely overcooked. The ribeye steak was cooked perfectly. Waygu dumplings were good.

First time coming to The Crane, was a fun spot on central. The drinks were good, the service excellent, and the food was close to perfect.

We’ve been to The Crane several times since they opened and have had great experiences. We had a reservation for 9:30 NYE, arrived at 9:25. The hostess said they were clearing the table, 15 minutes later I inquired if the table was indeed available. The woman then advised the party was not leaving yet. Finally a little before 10 we were seated. No real apology, complimentary app or anything. Our food was good, however the wait while having a reservation was a bit aggravating. Suggestion to management, have a designated table time, 1.5 or 2 hours during high volume times.

We just had dinner at The Crane. My wife and I each had a filet. Each was delicious- cooked to perfection. Key lime pie for dessert - very good. 100% recommend going to the Crane.

Food 4.5/5 Service 5/5 Atmosphere 4/5 Wagyu dumplings were full of flavor. Simply delicious. Shrimp cocktail was ok. I’ve had larger shrimp for the same price. Tomahawk dinner special for 2 for $99 was great. The portion is perfect and the meat was really good. I did not remember our servers name but she was very nice and attentive. Overall, this is a nice spot with solid food options that should not disappoint. They have a large full service bar.

When I made the reservation for Valentine’s Day, I had asked if it was going to be a preset menu and I was told that a decision had not been made yet. Someone from the restaurant called me back to verify my reservation 17 days before Valentine’s Day. I asked if it was gonna be a preset menu and was told no decision have been made and if it was going to change that I would receive a phone call I never received a call and upon getting to the restaurant and finding out that it was a preset menu. I was very disappointed it had very limited options for me to eat as I cannot eat seafood nor can I eat pasta or rice due to health reasons I ended up getting the ribeye, which was extremely fatty and burned to a crisp on the outside yet rare on the inside and I could not eat it. The waitress took the steak back and they cooked it again and returned it to me, even though several bites had been taken out of the steak. It was returned to me, Burned more on the outside and barely cooked any further on the inside. The only thing on the menu that I truly enjoyed was my dessert. We were there to celebrate our anniversary. It was a very disappointing meal to say the least and we spent almost $280. Our server was very friendly and attentive.

We ate here last night and were able to walk right in and get a table which was nice. The hostess didn’t have much of a personality but that’s not too big of a deal. It’s a nice looking atmosphere but it is very loud so it could be hard to hear for some people. Our waitress was very nice and helpful but it would have been nice if she could have come by the table a little more. We had to look for her a couple of times. It did take almost a 45 minutes for our food to come out and my wife’s steak was dry and not cooked the way she wanted. She asked for medium rare which isn’t really that hard to cook. My scallops were a little chewy as well. The drinks were really good so I will give them that. For some reason the men’s bathroom was closed so that made it harder for when people had to go. We will most likely not be going back anytime soon.

The only reason I’m giving it two stars is because the cocktails were great. I ordered the shrimp risotto and what I got was frozen tasting shrimp with jasmine rice. When I pointed that out, the manager was quite rude and tried to insist that it was risotto! The server was great, and that is why I’m giving service four stars. The manager was quite unpleasant I will never go there again.

Had reservations for 5 o’clock on Christmas Day. It was a a day I was going to honor my husband who passed five years ago on this day. I called the restaurant at 4:45 saying I was running maybe 10 minutes late. Had spoke to a young lady there at the front hostess stand on the phone. I did not get her name unfortunately but I did get to the restaurant and they said they did not have a reservation for myself or my brother. They put us at a back table by the kitchen and the bathrooms, and I refused to sit there I had made these reservations, three weeks in advance with OpenTable and had confirmed with them. Felt very confident there would be no issues. Especially after talking to the hostess at the crane. The manager was extremely rude. I asked him to sit us at a table, but he said there were only four tops, but that yet when I looked, there were two people sitting at a four top. I was born and raised here. My niece has a wonderful restaurant here in town and I’m going to make sure people know that this is not the place to go if you want good service at the front. So terribly disappointed. Instead, they offered us a table out on the street and I was dressed extremely dressy. And all we would’ve heard were cars and honking and it just wasn’t the ambience that the restaurant had inside. Don’t eat their folks don’t go their folks they suck with their customer service.

We had reservations for Valentine’s Day and were surprised to learn when we arrived that it was a prix fixe, pre-selected menu only. Not their usual one. This was not indicated anywhere on their website or on Open Table when we booked. The server said it was a special menu so that we could "try everything." However, several courses contained allergens for me, and there were no alternatives. We ended up leaving. I wanted to share this feedback because we were looking forward to dining here. We won't be back. Too many other great restaurants in the area.

Arrived early for our 5:45 pm reservation on 01/24 to an almost empty restaurant. Every booth was open, yet we were refused a booth when we asked for a more intimate setting, even though the table we were assigned to accommodated the same number of people. Instead, we were seated next to a table reserved for a large party. Never have we been denied that simple request anywhere else, especially when a restaurant is mostly empty. The hostess lost them customers and earned them this review. We left and enjoyed dinner elsewhere. Won’t be back. I wish I had taken a picture of the desolate restaurant to go along with this review.

Food was extremely overpriced for the underwhelming food quality. Held on drinks and price out the door was $280 (dinner for 2). Was not informed of pre-selected dinner menu for Valentine’s day - no notice upon booking. The side dishes delivered to our table were wrong. Waitress tried to be nice throughout. Will not be returning.
