Renzo's-St Pete

What a great find in downtown St. Pete today. Plus they have 2 other locations in the Tampa area. When we walked in we were greeted by Claudio the owner, and he was so welcoming and kind. We met the Chef Marcelo as well, they are both amazing! We were treated to an order of the tequenos, followed by a house salad with a great tasting vinaigrette. The burgers sounded amazing and they were! They pride themselves on the fact that they grind their beef fresh. I can’t wait to go back and try the Argentine red shrimp and so many other items on the menu. I highly recommend you check them out. You will not be disappointed! It’s not just a meal it’s an experience.

I brought my niece for her 16th birthday and they did not disappoint! The staff was friendly and polite. I thought they were attentive and offered helpful recommendations. The food was spectacular. We had dishes like octopus and sweet breads that can be difficult to master. Everything was cooked and flavored to perfection. Also, my cocktail, A NIGHT IN BUENOS AIRES, was spectacular; a perfect blend of tart and sweet. Shout out to our server, Jorge, who was very sweet and very helpful.

Excellent food. Steak, shrimp, and veggies cooked perfectly. Waiters were attentive. Seating outside is gorgeous. Highly recommend!

The dark-haird gentleman was extremely professional and generous in serving me today. I ordered the New York strip and a small caesar salad. He knows how to treat his guests like a million bucks All best, Clayton.

me and my bestfriend went here and you normally go out to just eat and have a good time with your friend/family but it’s much more here. first off our waiter gorge was absolutely amazing, he was not your ordinary waiter who smiles and takes your order. he’s involved with you in convo, so attentive and his aura was so radiant, it makes you want to befriend him. willy was also absolutely amazing, funny and they both made our dinner 10x better. white glove service and the etiquette was lovely. the food was so delicious, had to give compliments to the chef. you can tell they are not from saint pete but from somewhere that cares about people and food. genuine care and love went into their food and social skills. will be going back again just to see them. 🖤

Absolutely delicious! We sat outside and enjoyed a breezy, fall evening! The grand old fashioned was delicious! Our server was wonderful and the food was out of this world! We started with a chicken empanada, and then each had the 8oz filet with sautéed vegetables. Cooked to perfection, melted in your mouth! One of my new favorites in town!

Our server Christopher was absolutely wonderful! He was extremely knowledgeable on the menu and gave us a bit of a break down on a few of the dishes that they offer. He was very tentative and made sure everything was going well. The food is phenomenal! You definitely get a lot for your money. 10/10 would come again!

I can't say enough about how fabulous this place is! The staff are extremely friendly and professional. The food, the food, the fooooood = epic. Amazing experience I will definitely be back (still dreaming about the steak we had)!

The food was fantastic. For an appetizer we had the grilled octopus that was great. I had the lamb chops that were cooked and spiced to near perfection and my wife had the picanha that she thoroughly enjoyed. We had the Chaja' for dessert and it was very enjoyable. Betsy was a superb host and server and insured we had a great experience. An absolute must visit when in St Pete.

Food was fresh, quick and portions were reasonable. The Civiche was to die for. Daniel (I think that was her name) was new and you wouldn't even know it. It honestly was some of the best service I've ever had in my life!

Really interesting atmosphere, really nice staff, and great food. The menu is very diverse and offers a lot of authentic food choices and would like to try more the next time I go. The waiter we had tonight was extremely nice. We asked him to suggest us some wines and he came put with two very nice choices that we enjoyed.

I had the pleasure of dining here with St. Petersburg's Sumi-e artist, Jo-An Frances. She raved about the food and after my experience here, I know why. Our server, Betsy was very knowledgeable about the menu and recommended the charcuterie board which was divine! Paul, the Master of Libations concocted several drinks which were beyond our expectations! We had the meeting the owner's wife who was simply delightful and raved about their specialty dessert called, "Oh My God" because that is the immediate response from everyone who orders it. The tables were cozy and the bathrooms were spotless. This is a fabulous restaurant for date night, birthday celebrations and special occasions. The food is moderately priced and the experience is wonderful.

From start to finish, our evening at Renzo’s was nothing short of spectacular! Ben, our server, went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. His food and drink recommendations were spot on, and his attentiveness was exceptional. One of our dishes was initially brought out incorrectly, but Ben handled it with grace and efficiency. Not only was the issue resolved promptly, but the owner, Claudio, personally brought out the corrected dish and took the time to apologize. Claudio even spent some time chatting with us, sharing the incredible history behind Renzo’s, which added such a personal touch to our visit. As a special treat, Claudio crafted us a European Old Fashioned—his take on a classic cocktail—since we mentioned being from Tennessee. It was a delightful twist that we absolutely loved! The combination of outstanding service, delicious food, and warm hospitality made for an unforgettable evening. Renzo’s is more than just a restaurant—it’s an experience. We can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend.

Came here with friend. A bit pricy but hey what isn't. 60 renzo platter was really nice medium rare. The desserts was REALLY 👍

The most amazing food! We had the mixed meat platter to share, and every single meat was unique, flavorful, and cooked to perfection! Excellent service, super friendly and fun atmosphere. Definitely would recommend it, and I hope I visit St. Petersburg again to come back!

Very modern space with an excellent wine list. The appetizers came out quickly and the empanadas were amazing! I also really enjoyed their ceviche and their octopus as well! Octopus was super tender and very flavorful! The steak was cooked perfectly and came with chimichurri. I wish there was a bit more salt on their steak, but I know that is not their argentinean way of cooking. Beef quality was superb. Also, the staff were very professional and attentive.

I'm not sure why this restaurant only has 4.2 stars other than needing to use the parking garage. Food, service and drinks were INCREDIBLE. We had a party of 4, I had the sea bass and it was cooked PERFECTLY. Flavors were amazing! So we're my friends steaks! Atmosphere was quiet, elegant and the service was impeccable 👏👏😓

My boyfriend and I had been wanting to dine at Renzo’s for a while now. Tonight, we were finally able to! We were impressed with everything. The atmosphere is so comfortable and I love the way it is decorated on the inside. The food was really tasty, they had one of the best Caesar salads I have ever tasted! Portion sizes were perfect. Our server was excellent, and will be back to dine with her soon. Elizabeth helped me choose a wine to pair with my dish, and not only was the wine amazing, but it was an awesome pairing. My boyfriend got the Pisco Sour and it was also very tasty. He got the burger, and I got the ravioli, both yummy. I love how the flavors tied together so well in the ravioli dish. I tried a bite of his burger and it was seasoned so well and very delicious! We were very full by the end, but i can’t wait to go back with a full appetite to make it to dessert!

Excellent food and service, I have taken family from Chicago and they loved it, I've also taken my son for his birthday two years in a row, never disappointed.

My husband made reservations for Renzo as an anniversary surprise this past Sunday. While it being a Sunday and downtown St. Pete you kind of expect maybe a lack of service and attention....that was not the case here. From the moment we walked up, the staff greeted and open the door for us. With only a couple of other parties noted within the restaurant, they still made all the effort. Vincent was our server and was top notch throughout our dinner experience. He was attentive (especiallywhen asking if we were celebrating and food allergies, which there were), knowledgeable and gave wonderful food recommendations. The food was absolutely amazing. This restaurant will definitely be a recommendation for our family and friends. Can't wait for another special evening at Renzo's.

Everything about this restaurant was phenomenal. The service was exceptional, very knowledgeable about the wine and the entire menu. We were greeted as soon as we stepped in the door. The atmosphere was very classy. The food was delicious. I have nothing bad to say about this place! Highly recommend.

Perfect date night. Everything was expertly prepared. We went with the server’s recommendations. Grilled octopus appetizer then share the Churrasco. Can’t imagine it could have been any better.

Wow!!!!! The food and service here are just so great! I’ve been here a few times and have now made it a regular restaurant in my inner circle of repeats. Of course the steak is great, but the seafood and pasta are fantastic as well. Tonight we had the Gnocchi and it was quite literally out of this world! Beyond the food, the service is great and it’s a family owned restaurant that really takes pride in their restaurant and craft. Claudio, the owner makes a point to stop in and introduce himself, suggest pairings and ensure you have a perfect dining experience! Such a nice touch! 10 out of 10, highly recommend!

Love the food! Churrasco on point. 👌 I've been to the one in Tampa before. Glad to see they opened one in St. Pete. I tried their lamb chops this time and they were suuuper delicious and perfectly cooked. 😋

I came to this restaurant with an Argentinian friend. I have to say that the Churrasco was cooked to perfection and very tasty. The roasted potatoes were very very good....i cant give it 5 stars because the service was not the best. First they brought the meat and about 3 4 minutes later they brought the accompaniment The waiter left and didnt offered more drinks. All an all good food not so good service.

Used to be a busy place. Been there twice and the host not even have time for me. Stood for 5 five minutes and left. Walked by today and it's empty, so tried it out. The experience is positive, service is good and food is ok. Got the early bird menu so the prices are friendly.

We celebrated our anniversary at Renzo’s St. Pete and had a fantastic time. The atmosphere is chic and modern, perfect for a special night out, and the food was absolutely the star of the evening. The grilled parilla was perfect for sharing, with a generous mix of chicken, beef, and pork that easily fed two. Don’t miss the empanadas, they were a true highlight. And if you’re a cocktail lover, do yourself a favor and order the old fashioned, you won’t be disappointed. The only small drawback was that our server seemed a bit distracted, but the quality and abundance of the food more than made up for it. Overall, Renzo’s delivered a memorable experience that made our celebration feel special, and we’ll definitely be back.

Renzo's offers outstanding steaks. Sides are ordered ala carte. Our server was attentive but a bit "cold". The atmosphere is straightforward for a steakhouse with simple decor and stainless steel table tops.

We came early for dinner, second party of guests. They had a special what my wife and daughter wanted to share, I wanted it for myself. I was told they had to check with the kitchen if they still had enough (!). Considering the price you pay at that place, the food does not justify the prices - and we tried appetizer, mmain entree and dessert.

Slammed busy on a Saturday night. I get it , been there. But I paid $48 for a filet to go and didn’t get the Gorgonzola that was the reason I ordered the filet. I watched my filet sit there in a Togo box 15 mins + before finally asking the bartender to please get my Togo order together. Get a food expeditor and ensure orders are complete and out to customers in a timely manner please.

First time at one of these. So it was a stretch for me. The New York Strip was good. We shared the sausage platter. That dark loose sausage is a blood type sausage which is something I won’t eat. The rest of the sausages were ok but I wouldn’t get it again. I’m more used to and preferred standard German type sausages. The atmosphere was very nice. The filet was good. The Churrasco was excellent! The empanadas were bland, the corn side didn’t taste good. Chewy. Not fresh corn. The spinach side was good. And the table water wasn’t filtered. Service was good. I was hoping to rave about this place. Great steak though!

overpriced, taste is a little mediocre. We tried the empanadas (3) - the beef ones had no onions and tasted strange. We had provoleta which was ok but very chewy. The all beef asado parrilla was ordered medium (the waiter asked us) but it came well done. the taste was ok, but none of the pieces were spectacular. 3 water and tip = $100 So far from a real Argentinian restaurant you have no idea…!

The good - sausage, short rib, and picanha were nice. Well seasoned and tasty. Chimichurri can go along ways when done well. The not so good - empanadas were raw on the bottom. Shockingly they made the beef chicken and corn all too moist when the cooked them and the base was raw. Chicken and pork were cooked the same as a thicker cut of beef leaving them with only a char flavor and very dry. The ugly - as we were sitting outside for lunch we remarked, as did passing students, that the chairs looked liked they belonged in a cafeteria not at a fine dining restaurant.

We have been here a total of three times. Food has been consistently good and so was their atmosphere. Steaks are great cuts, side dishes are on point. However, the wait to get seated even when we had a reservation was oddly long. And the service was other worldly slow. Food did not come long after we ordered it. Also had to wait for more than 10 minutes for a refill. The bill came another 10 minutes after we asked for it and another 7-8 minute wait for my credit card to arrive. Sadly, we are not going here again only because of how slow the service has been.

Cons: Came here for a birthday dinner, unfortunately had pretty poor service. They did give us an app on the house for forgetting order/or time it took to get it. Which was very kind. But overall not great for the cost of dining. Pros: We enjoyed most of our food! The chorizo sausage was my favorite appetizer! Wine was good and happy hour prices on drinks were a reasonable price (have to sit at bar). Quiet dining to have good conversation, but feels really quiet if restaurant isn’t busy

Do not recommend for happy hour unless going just for the wine. The happy hour portions are very small and not worth the “deal” (as even admitted by the staff). We could not believe our taste buds when trying the calamari - it was truly a fish stick. Nowhere in there was squid, it was wild. Meat and cheese board was fine, but we ordered 3 items to share and we left starving. Didn’t even want to try other items based off of these three choices. Not sure if I’d return for the regular menu just based on this experience.

Our first visit was amazing, which is why we decided to return. Unfortunately, our second experience was disappointing. The meat did not taste fresh, was tough, and seemed to have been reheated. It was not the quality we expected, especially from an Argentine restaurant known for its BBQ. Sadly, our group of four left unsatisfied. We truly hope the restaurant can maintain the high standards that made our first visit so great, but based on this experience, we won’t be returning.

The staff is oblivious, you can get better service at Hyatt about any restaurant. The food was mediocre at best and there was more fat than meat on every dish we ordered. Even the steak in the salad was mostly fat! The steak sandwich should be called the fat sandwich.The plastic chairs are painfully uncomfortable. When we pointed out the issues with the dishes not matching the menu and the amount of fat vs meat - they didn't care.

I’m a small business owner and made a reservation at Renzo’s for 12:30 PM to celebrate a new business milestone with my family, my husband and our 22 month old daughter. We arrived on time and were seated. Shortly after, another party of five who were white arrived and were warmly welcomed, thanked for making a reservation, and offered complimentary appetizers. We were not acknowledged in the same way and were not offered anything. The difference in treatment was noticeable and uncomfortable. My money is green and my family deserves the same level of service and respect as any other guest regardless of the color of our skin. Because of this experience, we chose to leave. This was not how we expected to celebrate an important moment and it was deeply disappointing.
