The service provided by Jon is reflective of what exemplary service looks like; he's warm, friendly, considerate, and demonstrated continued strong work ethics while taking care of as many diners as he possibly can. His service alone elevated the entire dining experience and I have nothing but respect and appreciation for his perfect service. I got the two entree and appetizer deal for 25 bucks, which is a steal considering a single dish ranges from 16-25 already. The artichoke dip was very creamy but not overly rich, whereas the burger was perfectly toasted and the black pepper sauce was incredibly decadent! Highly recommend coming here for a calm and simple yet fairly priced meal! Thank you for reading and best of luck! (:

Jon is an amazing waiter he was extremely attentive to my Autistic cousin which made our dining experience great .I had a blue berry martini it was a very well mixed drink .I must have been in the mood for a salad because it was too good lol over all I had a good dinner dinner thank Jon and Applebees :-)
I’ve been to this location a few times and this will be my spot with my sister thanks to Rita S. Don’t sleep on her because she is amazing with her service. She is awesome when it comes to explaining throughly when questions that were asked. Her warm welcome, bright smile and positive attitude really makes the dining experience here well worth it. Honestly with her working the floor, bar and host she does very well. The food we ordered here was the ultimate trio and it was very filling for a lunch. Also, delicious. Rita really deserves a raise for everything she does. Thank you again Rita!!
Rita was amazing! Very kind and deserves a raise. She kept us entertained and even suggested we get the $4 added grey gooses which was an amazing taste adding. Definitely coming back before march second… especially with the $10 off coupon I received on the way out the door.
Staff were amazing and recommended special drinks (tipsy Cupid) which was delicious. Waitress Cait was delightful and shared many food options. Very accommodating as we did not feel rushed. Enjoyed the atmosphere as there was a game on. Been to a few Applebee on the island, highly recommend this location.
Every time I come into the Staten location-I have such an amazing experience. queen the Caribbean bartender is the sweetest! And he accent is mesmerizing. We ended up talking about where my family was from( Jamaica ) and all. Everything I ordered came out hot and cooked to my liking. Keep up the great work and I’ll definitely be back.
This Applebees is amazing! The food is great and the service even better! The bartender Alexis is amazing and very attentive and I always come back to see her. The manger Kaitlyn is also super sweet and frequently checks to make sure everything is okay. 10/10 service 💕
I’m literally sitting in Applebee’s right now, and I have to say, the experience is hitting the spot. The place feels cozy without being too loud, and the staff has been on point since the minute I walked in. Our server checked on us just enough without hovering, which honestly makes a big difference. The food came out fresh and faster than I expected. My plate was hot, the flavors were solid, and everything tasted like it was made with care. You can tell when a kitchen is rushing, and that wasn’t the case here. Even the sides were good — nothing thrown together, everything seasoned right. What I’m really noticing, though, is how relaxed the whole vibe is. You can just sit, eat, talk, and not feel rushed. The music is at a comfortable level, the tables are clean, and there’s this overall friendly energy in the room. It’s the kind of place where you end up staying longer than planned because you’re actually comfortable. Honestly, I’m glad I stopped by today. Good service, good food, and a nice atmosphere — exactly what you want when you go out to eat.
My waitress was amazing she was the hostess the waitress the bartender and the busboy all I. One with a great attitude. Very attentive and professional. The food was great and was on time no long waiting. One of my best experiences at Applebees. I felt that I had to leave a review. Rita is her name . 5 stars
Victoria was absolutely amazing! She greeted us with a big smile and made us feel welcome from the moment we sat down. Her service was attentive, friendly, and fast. She checked on us often without being overbearing and made sure we had everything we needed. It’s rare to find someone who genuinely enjoys what they do, and Victoria definitely does. She made our visit so much better. Thank you, Victoria!

The waitress I had was wonderful. Andrea Greeted me with a smile and genuine interest in taking my order and making sure I was ok and satisfied. She had a great presence. Very tentative. While multitasking and ensuring every guest was pleased with their order. If anything was off. She fixed it with no problem nor hesitation. 102325- We went there last night. We had a very nice bartender, our first time see her, as my best friend that came in surprising us, called her slim thick. Loved her smile, personality and positive energy and attitude she showed and yes WE, tipped her well too, she divan excellent job, cause thats what it takes to be in a hospitality job. Anywho, my friend and I had some drinks, I had strawberry lemonade and I tried the beer my best male friend ordered for me, comes with orange slice on glass, very refreshing. I didn't take pictures, honestly forgot, the food and drinks was so good. We had chips and dip, and bone in and boneless wings. The Asian Chile wings bone in i had was delicious.😋 Great food, great service, we laughed and joked, I saw th Mgr when walked in there. I meant to speak to her, my friend and I normally chit chat with her when we come there. That was a perfect night, Applebee's at this locale, they get 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 stars and they deserve it too. 09/03/25 - You are welcome. Definitely deserve it😉. Went last night. I did not want a lot to eat and I never tried their salad bowls with chicken, rice. Corn black beans, diced jalepenos and grilled chicken. It was delicious. I know, I meant to do a video and totally spaced it. I'll get it again on our next visit. We had the same bartender and waitress, we had some deep conversations too. I give them 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 and I had a strawberry lemonade. It was delicious. We'll visit again. 😉 Went last night. Food was delicious. As you see I had the sampler. The bartender /waitress was very nice and personable. We talked to her bout how customers don't tip. I worked in hospitality as a cook and I know I earned every cent and tip I received, cause you have to live that industry to be working in it. If you don't enjoy, then, don't do it, it's that simple. As we told her we always tip. Anywho, tip these people, cause it's not an easy job. I give them 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 stars,, the drinks and food was great. We'll visit again. 😊

My mom and I went twice this week to the Applebee's on Union Avenue. Both times we were seated immediately. The service was excellent and the staff was very friendly. On the second visit, there was an unnerving incident. I'm guessing it was an ex employee or a customer who was very displeased. Thankfully, we had just finished our meal and we were waiting on dessert. A dude walked along the back of the restaurant and cleared a few tables with his arm, then walked along the back side of the bar and seemed to knock the bar glasses in the floor with a swift arm. It was loud and scary. He looked angry, too say the least. At that point, most of the restaurant cleared out. It wasn't clear what the guys problem was, just that he DEFINITELY had one. I didn't see anything about it on the local news, Thank God, so I'm guessing his breaking the dishes satisfied his anger. -> back to the visit... out first visit was Tuesday. We started off with their crispy chicken wonton tacos. These were absolutely delicious! The flavors alongside the extremely crispy wonton shells were the best thing I've had from Applebee's, ever! My mom had a southwestern shrimp bowl and I had the bourbon street chicken and shrimp. She liked her dish, I loved mine. We enjoyed the Crispy Wonton chicken tacos SO MUCH, we came back on Thursday just to Gabe them again! They also serve excellent margaritas. If it weren't for the crazy dude (and they're everywhere in this city, unfortunately) they would've gotten 5 stars on the atmosphere as well. We will definitely go for the tacos.... soon!
The food was wonderful. It was my first time attempting to order from the car, and it took quite a long time to get our meal. It was rush hour, so I'll cut them some slack & look forward to trying them out one more time. Wish us luck!
Went in on a Sunday with my family and was pleasantly surprise with the great and attentive service, hot food and steady refills. The manager was on the floor checking on customers which makes a great sign that the service is priority. Well maintained, busy but clean. Staff was professional but fun loving. Very positive vibes in this place and great for those family dinners or for those beer at the bar crowds.

I came in over the weekend for a night out with my family. After a long wait to be seated, I was starting to feel pretty irritated and was honestly close to leaving. Our waitress, Cait S, noticed my frustration right away and stepped in with an apology before I even said anything. From that moment on, she made it her priority to turn the night around. She walked us through the specials, recommended a great drink, and stayed incredibly attentive even though the restaurant was packed. What really stood out was how she balanced being efficient with being genuinely friendly. She checked on us consistently without ever feeling intrusive and she even took a moment to connect with each person at the table which made the experience feel personal rather than rushed. Even though the kitchen was backed up and our food took over an hour, Cait made the wait manageable. She kept us updated without us having to ask, made sure drinks stayed full, and even talked us into dessert by the end. That says a lot considering how the evening started. It was clear she cares about her guests and takes pride in what she does even on a busy night with a rough start. Because of her, our night went from frustrating to genuinely enjoyable. I will definitely be coming back and will be asking for Cait again.

I tried to give them another shot. However, the steaks are so small except for the rib eye, the baked potato was bigger than the 8oz steak, and the steaks were very salty.. Took forever to get my drink from the bar. The waitress tried her best. Appetizers were delicious.

I think they have new cooks because the Wonton Tacos haven’t been good lately. The shells are burnt or overcooked, the chicken is greasy and not fresh, and the slaw is watery and chunky. It got so bad I had to stop ordering it which is disappointing since it used to be one of my favorite dishes
My recent dining experience at Applebee's was disappointing due to poor service. Initially, they forgot to provide utensils and later offered plastic ones. Terrible experience!! Went there with my 4 year old daughter! We waited in the waiting area for 30 minutes before we got seated not because it was crowded but because the seating lady was running her mouth with her friend instead of working ( while we sat there for 30 minutes) two groups of people came waited for ten minutes in left. Once the lady remembered she had me waiting there for 30 minutes she came apologizing with a smile. Then sat us. We waited for another 30 minutes before I told my daughter don’t ever let an establishment treat her like this and spend your hard earned money if they do. So we left and will never be returning!! If I could give the review a 0 I would! I ordered online through the Applebee’s app for delivery. The delivery took 3 hours!!!!!! 😡 The restaurant was not answering the phone when I tried to call. 4 different delivery drivers tried to pick up the order which wasn’t ready. The last driver was at the restaurant for over an hour waiting on the food! When my order arrived I only received half an order. Couldn’t contact anyone at the restaurant, couldn’t contact door dash because it was order through Applebees website! THIS WAS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND RIDICULOUSLY INSANE. On top of that my husband and I spent $88 for the order plus we tipped the driver an additional $20 for being so patient and waiting for a half order to be delivered. Do the math with me $108!!!!! Appetite was completely ruined 😡. None of the first 3 items on the receipt were delivered and everything was cold! As long as the driver waited NOTHING SHOULD HAVE BEEN WRONG WITH THIS ORDER OR COLD PERIOD.
If I could give zero stars, I would, my mom took us out to eat order drinks for everybody The drinks were horrible water down didn’t have the right ingredients. The food was horrible paid $173 for shit then the server added a tip of 30 more dollars than what we left to my mothers credit card and now they won’t even answer the phone or talk to her to try to fix it The way these days are that is ridiculous. I will keep going to social media until this is fixed. My mother works hard for her money.

Always give a place a second chance. Visited a year ago and service was terrible then as well. Never have what you want off the menu. Don't have coffee. And have to eat with plastic fork and knife with a steak. Will NEVER go back to this awful place

COLD 🥶 40 degrees outside and the air is on. Food might have been good if not cold. My child was shivering and couldn't eat. Manager concluded it was not a problem despite staff walking around in jacket saying they are cold also. It's been a long time since I've been here and probably even longer for the next visit.
Messed up my whole order. Asked for no sauce on burger...left off my broccoli...and check out this 1/3 bowl of squash and zucchini and no I haven't ate out of it and it didn't come from the kids menu.
We set in this place approximately 15 minutes before we realized that no one came and acknowledged that we were there. I cannot rate the food or drink or water because out order were not taken. Applebee's on Union. 8ish pm. We left there and went to Olive Garden and enjoyed ourselves.
The server attitude was very rude. She really didn’t care about our table. Then when we asked for a stary drink she brought out some drinks that don’t taste right but hasn’t came back and check on us yet. I told her that my chicken was hard she went and the the manager he came out with a whole attitude saying that the chicken is boneless but you not bout to sit here and tell me these are fresh the first one is what I was brought out first the 2nd picture is what he brought me out after I complained. I’m never eating here again
